| WWE News: More information on Smackdown's move to the CW Network WWE fans in the New York market will have to start tuning in to Channel 11 instead of Channel 9 if they want to watch Smackdown once the new CW network begins. The reason for the change of channel for the show is because SD would have been prempted by New York Yankees baseball all summer if they stayed on Channel 9 in the New York markets. Also, as it stands right now, Smackdown will remain on Friday nights once it debuts on the CW network, especially considering that it's been doing fairly well in it's new timeslot on UPN since the move, despite worries that ratings would drop if the show was switched to Friday's.
