Tournament: Round 2

Stranger

At a local sports store in Philly, fans are awaiting the arrival of the X-treme Division Champion of Death Match Wrestling. His arrival was scheduled at 12pm, so the fans were growing tiresome when it came to 21:30pm and he has yet to arrive. All of a sudden, a long black limo pulls up to the store. The limo driver comes out of the limo and walks to the back to open the door for the passenger. He opens the door out and out comes Eddie James. He is wearing a pair of sun glasses and the title is sitting on his shoulder. The fans go crazy and start screaming his name. There are barracades blocking the entrance to the fans as security takes Eddie through the store over to where he is going to be signing autographs.

Eddie sits down and awaits the arrival of the fans to his table. He doesn't have to wait too long, as the fans run over to the table as soon as they allow them to enter the store. As the fans get to the table, the security back them up and make them form a single file line. The line forums all the way back to the entrance of the store, while more people get in line. He signs his first autograph, as a kid hands him an Eddie James shirt.

Fan: Could you sign your name on this?

Eddie: Sure, who do you want it to?

Fan: Nobody specific, just your name.

Eddie: Ok. So who's your favorite wrestler in DMW?

Fan: Soul. I saw when he kicked your ass. I also like Jabu, and hope he kicks your ass, too.

Eddie: Well that won't be happening. I'm a champion for a reason.

Fan: All you did was beat that lame madscotsman guy, he shouldn't even be there, he's not even good enough to be in a womens' league.

Eddie: I agree with that. The guy does suck, well here you go.

Fan: Thanks. And good luck in your match, since I know you'll need it. haha

Eddie: Next!

He goes through about 30 more fans, some liking him, while other taunted him about losing to Jabu. He talked to every fan that wanted his autograph, even if they liked Jabu more than him. The autograph session took about 2 hours. By the time it was over, he was so tired, but he still had to train to fighy Jabu afterwards. He left the store and went into the limo.

Driver: Where to?

Eddie: Take me to the gym, I need to workout and train.

Driver: Yes, sir.

The driver takes the limo to the gym, where Eddie gets out of the limo. People in the neighborhood stop to see who is in the limo, out of curiosity. When Eddie gets out, he is carrying his belt on his shoulder somebody runs into him, and they both fall.

Guy: Sorry about that man.

Eddie: No problem, just be careful.

The guy gets up and helps Eddie get up. Eddie starts walking towards the gym, when he realizes that he doesn't have his belt. He looks over at the ground, and it was gone. The guy that bumped into him started to run, as Eddie chased him because he stole the belt. Eddie isn't used to running, so he gets tired, and decides to have his limo chase the guy instead. He gets into the limo, with the driver, and they start to follow the guy with the belt. He stays on the same road for about 3 blocks, when they start getting chased by cops for speeding. The guy keeps running, while the limo pulls over and and cops go behind them. Just as the cops start to head to the limo, the driver starts to go again.

Eddie: What the hell are you doing?

Driver: You want your belt back, dont you?

Eddie: Yes, but not to go to jail over.

Driver: Dont worry, I'll take full responsibility.

They catch up to the guy with the belt about 2 blocks down and start driving right next to him. Just as Eddie gets right next to him, he opens the door, which slams into the guys back. The guys falls down as the limo stops. Eddie gets out to get his belt back. He picks it up, as he hears sirens from the police, who have finally caught up to them.

Cop: Put your hands on your head and drop that out of your hand.

Eddie drops the belt and puts his hand on his head. The cop comes over to him to search him as the limo starts to pull away. The cops stop searching Eddie and run back to the car to chase the limo. He picks the belt back up and kicks the guy that stole it, who is still down from the door. Eddie walks back five blocks to the gym, where he works out for two hours and trains in the ring for three hours.

When he leaves the gym, there is a limo waiting outside of the building. He drivers' window rolls down as Eddie sees that it is the same driver that he has just had.

Driver: Need a ride?

Eddie: Yeah, thanks. How did you escape the cops?

Driver: I know these streets like the back of my hand.

Eddie: They didn't catch the licence plate number?

Driver: I own my own limp business, I ditched that limo and got a new one.

Eddie: So my suitcase is ditched? They'll look me up!

Driver: No, no, no, I put it in the back of this limo.

Eddie: Wow, thanks man.

Driver: No problem, get in.

Eddie goes to the back door and gets inside the limo. The driver takes him to his hotel and let's him out.

Eddie: Thanks man. Next time I'm in Philly, I'll look you up.

Driver: I hope so.

The limo pulls away and Eddie goes into his hotel, tired from his long day of signing atuographs and working out. He goes to the bar inside the hotel to drink off the memories of this very long and stressful day.
