You make a caracter (See new thread) and then wait for the card to be posted. Once it is posted you write a promo for yourself and send it in. The best promo wins. Thats the basic idea of an E-Fed, obviousally there is more but thats all you need to start.

Not sure if this is the right thread to ask questions about the rules, since the other thread said don't rant or start things there....sooooooo...I'll post it here.
What is the limit on RP's (promo) per match? I assume you just send in 1 RP? Also, since it is sent in via PM form, how do other people know how to promo AGAINST you?
In every other e-fed I've been in before, promos were made public, and they usually had 2 or 3 to do per match so that you can tell a complete story from start to finish, along with responding to your opponents promo because you were able to read their 1st promo before doing your 2nd.
So, just would like a little more clarification on how the promos will work. Typically in e-feds the way you get to know about other characters is through promos, so I am confused.
One promo per match that's why you have a week in most cases to get it in. Its not rushed and in theroy should be better. It's sent in PM form exactly so that your opponent can't use it for their own idea's. All promo's will be posted afterwards anyway and can be used by opponents after that. The best/most fitting promo's will make it onto the shows as a reward.
I believe we tried the multipal promos before but people still only did one. And even that was a struggle for some. If the e-fed kicks off we can look at changing the system a little to bring in more promos and whatnot.

Ideas- I have many ideas for "The Backstage" Board. First off, We need to change the name of it, It needs to be "Public Promo Place or something, Because in the forum I want to see stuff not just backstage, but out of the building such as Press Conferences and such to build character.
I'd also like to see stuff more organized. We need a Roster. We need to have like a wrestling record like W/L/T and stuff.

We will be doing bits and piece like press conferanences, interviews etc. once we get the first card up.

There will be a roster page but at this stage, we dont have enough wrestlers to actually make it worthwhile. Before the first show we will have one. Results and Current/Past feuds will also be kept on record once we have something to record. I have a list of stuff that needs to be added once we have reason for it.

Keep in mind guys, this stuff is just getting going so there will be rankings and possibly a newsletter type of thing posted as well.
To Jayman's point, I have been in one efed that used more than one promo per match, and it was one I ran and that idea did not work well. I think if you are looking for something to build on that is why we have the burn thread and other avenues to get the ball rolling.
I think this thread is meant for more major changes than nick picky name changes and such. Hence the innovation. But keep the ideas coming cause all is considered. A lot of the stuff has been discussed when we started and agreed on, but some of it will have been overlooked.

From my experience I find it works much better to post the rps in public. It gives some of the newer guys a chance to see how it all works and just in general it improves the overall fed. As the main point imo is to entertain while telling a story.. and if your just rping then pming it in it really doesn't entertain anyone other then the one reader.
