First Look at Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter? Source:Johnny-Depp.org
November 17, 2008
Here is your first glimpse at what appears to be Johnny Depp as he'll look in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. Depp is playing the Mad Hatter and he'll appear alongside co-stars Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Michael Sheen, Mia Wasikowska, Matt Lucas, Crispin Glover, Stephen Fry and Alan Rickman.
Burton's latest is written by Linda Woolverton and based on the Lewis Carroll classic "Alice in Wonderland." The film will combine performance-capture imagery, currently seen in Beowulf, with live-action footage. Look for it in theaters on March 5, 2010.

Re: Alice in Wonderland (2010) - Preview & Discussion
Burton is the only one who could really pull off this, so I'm glad to see he is the one taking it on. Johnny Depp looks like Elijah Woods. Creepy.

Re: Alice in Wonderland (2010) - Preview & Discussion
I'm really excited for this. Burton and Depp work so well together. Just look at Willy Wonka, Sleep Hollow, Edward Scissor Hands, ect. They make a great team, and Burton is my favorite director ever, he's so unique, and the films he produces are amazing. I'm hoping to go to the premier in London with a Friend back home, and Johnny is gonna freaking own as The Mad Hatter.
