Reilly ("Chicago," "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby") and Seann William Scott ("American Pie") lend their deft comedic touch to the story of two mid-level Chicago supermarket employees – Doug and Richard, a dubious new guy from Canada - who compete ruthlessly for a coveted managerial post at a new store location. I would love to see a comedy about retail, just like they did with "Waiting" and the restaurant business. Introduce us to a group of characters working in a retail shop (like Target, K-Mart, etc..) and take us through a day in the life of retail workers. I worked at Meijer (large retailer ala Walmart) for years, and I could write a script about that in a day or two. So many funny stories could be told. | |
| And now, here it is...your moment of Carlin (10/10/2008) I don't think we should be governing ourselves. What we need is a king, and every now and then if the king's not doing a good job, we kill him. | ||
