Yeah, I get the obvious logic in that saying......I guess I just don't understand why it was so pivotal to see all them if you knew going in you wouldn't like them. For an opinion on a message board? To each his own i guess, but me....I hated the first Matrix and have not, and will not, see the final two. So I guess I won't be in on any Matrix discussions then. Only LOTR movie i liked was ROTK the last one and this one will suck as no one would care since its not about FRodo or them trying to get rid of the ring.
Del Toro Confirms Hugo Weaving and Two Others for Hobbit
June 11, 2009

Now this is an update on The Hobbit worth writing about! Guillermo del Toro appeared as a guest on Simon Mayo's BBC Radio Show yesterday (via TheOneRing.net) and talked a bit about The Hobbit. As I've mentioned before, there's only so much news that del Toro can reveal, since it's so far out and we've already heard pretty much as much as he knows. However, he did confirm that at least three big actors would return - Ian McKellen as Gandalf, Hugo Weaving as Elrond, and Andy Serkis as Gollum. Not that anyone expected we wouldn't see these three return again, but it's a huge relief to hear this from del Toro himself.
Guillermo also spoke briefly about some other elements of The Hobbit, like about bringing in more subplots. "There is a whole other chapter, so to speak, which is the comings and going of Gandalf which are dealt with — people that know the lore know that Gandalf was delayed with a crisis… with a character that is very shady called the Necromancer that proves to be Sauron." In addition to The Hobbit, he also speaks about Hellboy III, his Frankenstein movie, At the Mountains of Madness, and more. If you'd like to listen to the entire episode, it can be found here. Even though it's 3 years out, I'm getting excited for The Hobbit already.
In the future make sure to quote your story, and leave an opinion with it. - Necro
