I would love to see these plans go through. I loved all the Grindhouse trailers and I would for all of them to eventually be turned into movies. No matter how ridiculous they were.

And for our final piece of news from Robert Rodriguez's chat with the public at SXSW, we've got a report about his plans to make Machete, a full-length version of the fake trailer that ran in front of Grindhouse in 2007. For a while it looked like the movie wouldn't happen, given Grindhouse's box office belly flop, but Rodriguez is confident the thing will happen after all.
" I’m not going to bullshit you guys. We are making Machete.” He added that the whole production is a lot further along than we think: "We’ve already got the script and we’re ready to go.”
Will he be able to get financing for the movie? Will he have time to even make it? No idea. But at least he's going ahead with this one with his characteristic bravado-- and dammit, that might just be enough to get it made after all.
In case you need a reminder, here's the Machete trailer.
HELL YA!

From the looks of things the Trailer looks good.

Rodriguez is eyeing a June start date in Austin for "Machete," a film that is financed and produced by Overnight Productions, with Danny Trejo starring as the title character.
Machete is a Mexican ex-Federale with a gift for wielding a blade, who hides out as a day laborer, who is double-crossed by a corrupt state senator.
I thought it looked awesome in Grindhouse, I love the fact that he is actually going to go through with it. Should be a movie to look forward to in June.

If they were going to move on one of the Grindhouse faux trailers, I wish they'd done this one:
Epic.
Still, I'm looking forward to seeing this one.
I wanted to see Thanksgiving made into a movie as well. There was a rumor going around the Grindhouse 2 would feature the other trailers directed by Eli Roth and I think the "Don't" movie trailer as well.
