He was one of the actors rumored to be Freddy.
Watching the trailer, there's two things I kind of dislike about it. For one, I hate how chickenshit Freddy is when he's killed. In the TV series, while he does try to save his life, he's still cocky. Even in dying, he's a cocky motherfucker. The second was Freddy's face. While it was only a brief glimpse, the face appeared to be very different. Based upon pictures of burned victims, it does look a bit more accurate. It just reminds me of Leatherface's looks throughout the series. It just doesn't look "Right".
These are petty things to bring up since it is a reboot, but when you remake such a popular series, it's expected.

Re: A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010 - New Trailer!)
This is kind of like people being upset about the first 3 of the Friday series pretty much being rolled into one. It's not a bad complaint, but you gotta do something here to make it stand out.
He did pretty good with Friday, I'll give him a shot @ Nightmare.

Re: A Nightmare On Elm Street (2010 - New Trailer!)
what's with this new age of horror remakes where the killer needs added motivation or a reason as to why he's fucked up and a psychopath? zombie did the same shit to Halloween and while I thought the first half of that movie was 'ok', I don't think it was necessary. I want my killers to be pure EVIL. But like I said, I have to give this a shot before I shit on it.

What added motivation is there for this movie?

I heard that Freddy comes back in this new version to kill because he was wrongly accused by the children of being a child molester and nobody ever spoke up and said it wasn't true. i.e. revenge flick.
