I was really praying for Crispin Glover to haunt the dreams as Freddy, but Haley has emerged pretty well as a creepy character, with a fantastic performance in Little Children and in Watchmen.
Ironic pick. Glover would of been interesting choice as Freddy.

Re: Jackie Earle Haley Will Haunt You Three Times As Freddy
I just hope they have the same voice, or similar. That's the part I like most about Freddy. He has an arrogant sound to him that makes the character for me. Also the sharp nose Freddy has, I hope they get down the nose...which they should, because this guy has a pointy nose.
Re: Jackie Earle Haley Will Haunt You Three Times As Freddy
As much as I don't agree that they are re-imagining the movie he is a good choice. I hate that Robert Englund isn't coming back but I can't fault them for the choice. It will be interesting.
Re: A Nightmare On Elm Street (TBA) - Preview & Discussion
I am onboard with a new Freddy. I resisted at first, but it can be done. I am going to go in with an open mind and give it a chance before I slate it as worthless and a failure. I'm looking forward to it now.
