Jeff Jarrett was sitting at home racking his brain trying to come up with something to gain more fans for the product which in fairness was growing, just at a very slow rate. One of the most common suggestions Jeff receives is to give the X-Division more exposure. While Jarrett would love to do that, the simple fact is they don’t have enough time to fit it in just to appease the fans. The main storylines have to take priority so with the exception of the title feuds, the X-Division is limited on what it can do.

Jarrett knows the X-Division will get in more fans but he just cant find anywhere to fit it in and give it meaningful time. Just as he was about to give up and work on something else it came to him. Jarrett grabbed his cell phone and called Dixie Carter. Jarrett asked Dixie to set up a meeting between himself and Spike TV representatives for as soon as possible. Dixie says she will be in touch with a date soon enough.

The next morning, Jarrett had several missed calls on his cell phone. Jarrett had wrestled the night before and then spent the rest of the night trying to help his product so he slept right through the phone ringing. Jarrett called Dixie back and apologized for missing her calls. Dixie didn’t seem worried as she knows how hard Jarrett works. During the course of the phone call Dixie told Jarrett that she had arranged a meeting with Spike TV for January 30<SUP>th</SUP> 2009. Jarrett committed himself to it.

January 30<SUP>th</SUP> 2009.

Jeff Jarrett pulls up outside the meeting location in Orlando, Florida and spots Dixie Carter’s limo not far away. He makes his way over and taps on the glass. The door opens and Dixie Carter steps out, followed by Kurt Angle.

JJ: What’s he doing here? I thought we were having a meeting today.

DC: We are, but I had a meeting with Kurt first and he, well, he wants to know how your new idea is going to benefit him.

JJ: Its not going to.

KA: Why the hell not? I’m the biggest name you got! I should be the focal point of the entire company.

JJ: If you were anymore of a focal point we would have to change our name to Total Non-Stop Angle.

KA: ….That’s not a bad idea now that you mention it.

JJ: It was a joke, now, excuse me I have a business meeting.

KA: I want to come.

JJ: No way, the last time you came along Spike TV wanted me to fire you because of your suggestions to change the name to Angle TV.

KA: They should have listened, it would have been a huge success.

JJ: Well they didn’t and your not coming, this doesn’t concern you Kurt.

KA: Well it should!

JJ: Well it doesn’t!

KA: …. I’ll rape your children.

JJ: Dammit Kurt I told you before, that aint funny and one day you will get arrested for it.

KA: Lighten up its only a joke.

JJ: I know it’s a joke but others don’t.

DC: Gentlemen can we wrap this up please?

JJ: I’ll talk to you another time Kurt, Goodbye.

KA: I still think it should be called Total Non-Stop Angle.

That gave me a chuckle. So is this just a storyline based thing with no actual wrestling?

Jeff Jarrett and Dixie Carter make their way into some fancy restaurant and look around. Dixie spots two men in suits chatting to each other. Dixie recognizes one of the men as being from Spike TV but the other she doesn’t know. Both she and Jarrett make their way over to begin the meeting. After some formal introductions, the first representative asks Jarrett what he has to propose to them.

JJ: Firstly, I want to give you some back-story as to why i’m making this request.

TV1: Jeff, no disrespect, but we don’t care about your reasoning, that is your business. We are here to hear you out on what you want to do, not why.

JJ: Ok then, basically, I want to move some stuff around. As i’m sure you know we have a second TV show called Xplosion that now only airs in Canada. We want you guys to pick it up so that we can use it as our second show to get some more guys involved who otherwise wouldn’t be.

TV2: When do you want this show to air?

JJ: I have already taken care of that. On Saturday nights we show a replay of iMPACT! I propose we change that to Xplosion.

TV1: The two hours?

JJ: No, just the one. We’ll use the second hour for one of our other proposals.

TV2: You mean TNA Epix?

JJ: That or Spin Cycle.

TV1: I don’t see any problems with any of this.

TV2: What do you want on the show exactly? Is it just going to be an extension or do you have specific plans for it?

JJ: That’s the good part. I want it to focus on the X-Division which has been neglected in recent times.

TV1: I take that back, we may have a problem now.

JJ: Why?

TV2: Our research shows that as talented as the X-Division is, it just doesn’t draw.

JJ: I’m sure it will, if given the proper chance. After all, its what got us to where we are today.

TV2: I’m just going by the ratings, which at the end of the day, is the single most important thing.

TV1: If you want the show to be exclusive to the X-Division then we will have to say no. But, if you are willing to put the Knockouts on the show aswell, then we may have something.

TV2: The Knockouts draw very well & could make up for the lack of interest in the X-Division.

JJ: I suppose we can put the Knockouts on it aswell. But I just want to be clear, the X-Division will be the main focus. The Knockouts will be there to break it up.

TV1: Sounds good.

TV2: I wish all our meetings were this easy.

JJ: So we have a deal?

TV1: Unless someone over us decides against it, which at this point seems unlikely considering we aren’t losing anything else.

TV2: If you don’t hear back from us personally in the next few days, start making your plans for the show. We will let you know either way though.

JJ: Ok, that’s me done. Thanks for your time. Now I’ve got to get back to work.

DC: I have another meeting with these gentlemen Jeff so I’ll talk to you later.

With that being said, Jeff Jarrett gets up and leaves the restaurant a happy man having got nearly what he wanted. Now the next step. Get someone to book the shows. Jarrett doesn’t want to stretch his already small booking staff across another show so will have to find some new blood, but who?

Jeff Jarrett got into his car and immediately took out his cell phone and scrolled through the names hoping someone would jump out at him. Before long, one name did but not for the position he had in mind. Brian James. Better known as BG James. James had been working as a road agent for several months now but has been getting a lot of praise for his methods and approach.

Jarrett made the phone call and within minutes had BG James in charge of Xplosion's layout each week aswell as the match layout itself. During the course of the conversation Jarrett decided to ask BG James' opinion on who should be put in charge of creative. Jarrett couldn’t believe he didn’t think of it himself. After all, the man suggested was already under TNA Contract but not in a creative sense. Jim Cornette.

Jarrett was well aware of how good of a mind Jim Cornette has, but has thus far been unable to get him onto the creative team due to him having so many enemies within the company and especially on the current creative team. Jarrett convinced himself that Cornette would take the job as he would have nearly full control of the show and would get to chose his own creative team if he wants one at all.

Things have moved much faster than Jarrett had expected so decided to hold off on Cornette for now and talk to him in person about it at the next set of iMPACT! tapings on February 9th 2009.

February 9<SUP>th</SUP> 2009

Things couldn’t have gone better for Jarrett today as he got Jim Cornette on board in about sixty seconds. Once Cornette heard he wouldn’t have to work with Vince Russo and was in control of the show, it was a done deal. Jarrett arranged for a meeting between himself, Cornette and BG James for tomorrow to discuss the roster they would have to work with.

February 10<SUP>th</SUP> 2009

A brief meeting ended with BG James and Jim Cornette now fully aware of what they have to work with. Jarrett gave his proposal of the roster in which Cornette and James went over several times before agreeing on a small number of changes. With the changes presented to Jarrett, Jarrett agreed to them and yet another step forward was taken. The roster is not exclusive to Xplosion and is only the people who will work on Xplosion. Anyone else is considered special appearances.

Before the meeting had ended, BG James suggested bringing back the open door policy they had when they started out on Weekly Pay Per Views. Once BG James explained what his idea was, both Cornette and Jarrett agreed to give it a try. A maximum of one match a week will feature some unsigned talent on display. If they impress then they may earn themselves a TNA Contract, if not, they can always try again in a few weeks time.
