WcW was the only company to ever take the WWE to the limit. After it's popularity died down, however, the WWE made the asset of buying WcW, it left Universal Wrestling Coproration, a parent company, to deal with the contracts. The company still sat in vacancy until today when Robert Drulia made the buy. Several people caught up with Robert and asked him about it, in which he responded,
"I chose UWC for a backstory. UWC has the blood of WcW in it and I wanted that lineage. Expect something big, because I'm in talk with some big names. This isn't going to be an independant promotion, it's going to have a primetime slot and it is going to stand head to head with TNA and WWE."

Robert Drulia is already making contract offers, and has released some of the names that he picked up. The Highlanders, The Bashams, The Naturals, Scotty 2 Hotty, Rikishi, Rene Dupree and Sylvan Greneir were all picked up. When asked if this was going to be a Tag project only, Drulia simply said, "no".

To follow up the other names that have been released by Drulia, Elix Skipper, Low Ki, Tomko, Matt Bentley and Mistico have all been signed to a cotnract.
Nick Patrick, Brian Hebner, and Dave Hebner will be doing referee duties. An interviewer asked Drulia if it was really nessasry to buy 'big named' referees' to which Robert said, "of course". Needless to say, this whole project is still a mystery in pieces.
