*According to sources within the WWE, starting at the beginning of 2010, WWE will drastically alter the way the WWE runs. There will no longer be storylines per say and much like a majority of promotions in Japan, it will be all about the wrestling. There will be no more in-ring promos and everything will be based off of wrestling, competition and what goes on inside the squared circle, not storylines, angles or promos. WWE is anxious to see how this will work out and this will begin immediately starting in 2010.
*WWE has re-signed former WWE wrestlers, Evan Bourne & Yoshi Tatsu. Both men made their debut last year, were signed to one year contracts and now WWE has renegotiated deals with both men. No word yet on when they will make their return to television.
*WWE will also be holding a draft in January of 2010 to shake up the rosters for both brands. Expect some major changes to be made!
I'm not really down with the no storylines proposal. Even the UFC uses angles and exaggerates characters to promote their fights.
Taking a much more realistic, serious tone to the WWE would be fine. But doing away with storylines/angles would be too much.
I've got to catch up immensely on this BTB. It's pretty admirable that this BTB is still going strong after such a lengthy period of time.

Well after that report, there was another news report where I said that the previous report was a little exaggerated and that I pretty much meant that storylines and whatnot would only be used sparingly and for certain things.
By the way, I have not even begun writing Survivor Series. I was out of town last weekend, I'm not feeling good and been a bit lazy. Hopefully I'll get the motivation to start writing it sometime in the next couple days.
After much delay, I am proud to FINALLY present...Survivor Series!!
November 22nd 2009 Chicago, Illinois

JBL: Welcome everyone to the 2009 edition of Survivor Series! Tonight, the fate of the WWE will be decided in a traditional five on five elimination match! It's Triple H, John Cena, William Regal, Finlay & MVP representing Royalty up against CM Punk, KENTA, John Morrison, Kurt Angle & Rob Van Dam! If CM Punk and his team wins tonight, Royalty must disband and they will send a petition to the board of directors to remove me from power! That's not gonna happen but I've got to call it like it is!
Jerry Lawler: That's right, JBL! Also tonight, we've got two championship matches! The WWE Championship will be defended inside the brutal, Hell In A Cell! The Undertaker challenges Chris Jericho for the belt in what will be Undertaker's tenth Hell In A Cell match, and only the second for Chris Jericho! Then we've got the United States Championship on the line with James Gibson defending against Paul London! Tonight should be an explosive night and I doubt it will disappoint!
JBL: The lights are on bright tonight and let's get this show started with the opening match!

As the opening bell sounds in this first match at Survivor Series, Rhodes and DiBiase stand face to face in the center of the ring. DiBiase talks some trash to Rhodes but Rhodes tries to talk some sense into DiBiase, asking what happened to their friendship. The referee tries to pull DiBiase off but DiBiase stands up then shoves the referee into the ropes. DiBiase gets up to his feet, pulls Rhodes up but Rhodes quickly hits him with a right hand then hits him with Silver Spoon DDT. The two men lay on the mat as the referee begins the ten count for both men to get up to their feet. After a few moments, the two men begin to get up to their feet. Both men are up and trading right hands in the middle of the ring. DiBiase gets the upperhand and hits Rhodes with a clothesline which sends him down to the mat. DiBiase pulls Rhodes back up and applies the Million Dollar Dream!! Lillian announces that there is two minutes left in the time limit. DiBiase then hits Rhodes with the Dream Street into the pinfall attempt...1...2...ROPE! Rhodes was lucky enough to be close enough to the ropes to grab on at the last moment.
DiBiase is now frustrated as he begins to argue with the referee. Once again, Rhodes crawls up behind DiBiase and rolls him up for an attempt at a quick victory over his disgruntled former tag partner...1...2...KICK OUT! DiBiase then gets on top of Rhodes and begins hitting him with vicious right hands as more referees run down and slide into the ring. Finally, they pull DiBiase off Rhodes and begin hauling him to the back as Rhodes is busted open in the ring from the chair shot and multiple violent right hands. Jericho pulls Undertaker out of the corner, irish whips him into the opposite corner, runs at him but Undertaker gets the boot up which sends Jericho stumbling back a bit. Undertaker quickly grabs Jericho and hits him with the Reverse STO, Jericho then rolls out of the ring to the ground. Undertaker gets up to his feet, gets out of the ring onto the apron and hops down to the ground. Jericho is slowly getting back up to his feet as Undertaker grabs him by the hair. Undertaker pulls Jericho up but Jericho quickly hits Undertaker with an elbow to the gut, grabs him by the back of the head and slams Undertaker into the ring post which sends Undertaker down to his knees. Jericho pulls Undertaker up and again slams him into the ring post. Jericho reaches down under the apron and pulls out a steel chair. Jericho goes to hit Undertaker with it but Undertaker moves out of the way, causing Jericho to hit the post instead. Jericho drops the chair then holds his wrists in pain.
Undertaker bends down, grabs the chair and slams it against the shoulder of Jericho. Jericho stumbles sideways into the ring apron and drops down to his knees. Undertaker drops the chair, walks over and pushes Jericho into the ring. Undertaker slides back into the ring himself. Undertaker gets up to his feet, reaches down and pulls Jericho up as well. Undertaker pushes Jericho back into the corner then hits him with a couple carefully calculated right hands to the temple. Undertaker pulls Jericho out of the corner, bounces him off the ropes, Jericho runs across the ring from the momentum, bounces off the opposite ropes, Undertaker grabs Jericho by the throat and hoists him up over his head. Undertaker walks over to the ropes, military presses Jericho then tosses him out of the ring right into the side of the cell. After hitting the steel mesh of the cell, Jericho hits the ground hard and grabs at his back in pain. Undertaker gets back out of the ring, slowly pulls Jericho up and slams him into the ring apron then into the cell.
Undertaker pulls Jericho up from his knees and hits him with a right hand. Jericho stumbles back a bit but kicks Undertaker in the gut then hits him with a right hand of his own. Jericho quickly grabs Undertaker and irish whips him right into the steel mesh of the cell. Undertaker bounces off the cell, Jericho leaps up and hits Undertaker with an enzuigiri which sends Undertaker down to the ground. Jericho gets back up to his feet, pulls Undertaker up and pushes him back into the ring. Jericho then slides into the ring himself. Jericho pulls Undertaker up, hits him with a couple right hands which sends Undertaker stumbling. Jericho bounces off the ropes and hits Undertaker with a spinning wheel kick which sends Undertaker down to the mat. Jericho goes for the first pinfall attempt of this match...1...KICK OUT!
Jericho gets up to his feet, pulls Undertaker up and then slowly sprints towards the ropes. Jericho springboards off the second rope and hits Undertaker with a corkscrew back elbow which sends Undertaker back down to the mat. Jericho then runs towards the ropes, springboards off the second rope again and goes for a LionSault but Undertaker moves out of the way. Undertaker gets up to his feet as does Jericho, grabbing at his torso. Undertaker hits Jericho with a right hand then grabs his arm, performs an arm wrench and slowly backs up into the corner. Undertaker pulls himself up onto the second ropes in the corner then steps up onto the top rope. Undertaker walks to the middle of the top rope but Jericho puts his boot up and kicks the top rope which causes Undertaker to lose his balance and fall off the top rope to the floor on the outside. Jericho drops down to his knees and grabs at his right arm and shoulder in pain.
Jericho then rolls out of the ring, pulls Undertaker up and hits him with a kick to the gut. Jericho quickly grabs Undertaker in position for the Breakdown and hits him with the Breakdown right into the ring apron. Jericho then climbs up onto the apron as Undertaker lay on the ground. Jericho leans back against the ropes and does his signature taunt as the crowd boos. Jericho then gets back into the ring and Undertaker slowly crawls up onto the ring apron. Undertaker pulls himself up with help from the ropes and is standing in the center of the ring apron holding onto the ropes. Jericho runs towards the second ropes near the corner, springboards off and hits Undertaker with his signature springboard dropkick which sends Undertaker falling backwards off the apron into the steel mesh cell wall.
Undertaker slowly gets up to his feet and slides back into the ring under the bottom rope. Jericho gets out of the ring, grabs the steel chair from earlier then slides back into the ring. Undertaker is back up to his feet, Jericho runs at Undertaker with the chair and slams it right into the skull of Undertaker which sends him falling down to the mat. Undertaker slowly rolls over onto his stomach and begins to push himself up to his feet. As Undertaker barely rises back up to his feet, Jericho hits him with the chair right to the skull once again. Undertaker stumbles back down to the mat and is now busted open. Jericho drops the chair and kicks Undertaker in the head which sends Undertaker falling sideways down to the mat. Jericho tosses the chair to the outside of the ring, runs towards the ropes, springboards off the second rope and connects with the LionSault on Undertaker right into the pinfall attempt...1...2...KICK OUT!
Jericho cannot believe that Undertaker managed to kick out of that! Jericho slowly gets back up to his feet, pulls Undertaker up and hits him with a right hand. Undertaker fires back with a right hand of his own. Jericho fires back, Undertaker fires back and then begins to hit Jericho with multiple right hands to the temple. Jericho stumbles backwards but then suddenly charges at Undertaker but gets grabbed by the throat, hoisted up and hit with the chokeslam. Undertaker drops down to his feet, crawls over Jericho for the pinfall attempt...1...2...KICK OUT! Undertaker rolls over onto his back, rolls back over onto his stomach and slowly pushes himself back up onto his feet. Undertaker reaches down, pulls Jericho up, applies a side headlock on him but quickly turns Jericho over into the standing Dragon Sleeper!! The referee gets down by Jericho asking if he wants to give it up but nothing. After a long few moments, the referee grabs Jericho's arm, pulls it up and drops it down for the one count, the referee repeats process but Jericho holds his arm up and does not allow it to drop for the second time. Jericho pushes himself down closer to the mat, springs backwards and knees Undertaker right in the temple which forces Undertaker to let go of Jericho.
Jericho quickly gets up to his feet, gains his balance, runs at Undertaker and goes for the Codebreaker but Undertaker holds onto Jericho and pushes him down to the mat. The referee gets down by Undertaker asking if he wants to give up but he pushes the referee away. After a long struggle, Undertaker eventually gets to the bottom rope but it means nothing in a Hell In A Cell match. Jericho pulls Undertaker back to the middle of the ring and applies even more pressure. Undertaker eventually musters enough energy to roll over and push Jericho off of him. Jericho hits the ropes, Undertaker slowly gets up to his feet, Jericho turns around, runs at Undertaker and again hits him with the Codebreaker. -World Heavyweight Championship-
Kurt Angle vs. CM Punk (c)
At Survivor Series last month, Team Punk, which included Kurt Angle, was successful in taking Royalty off their throne of control over the WWE. The next night on Raw, Punk said that he wants a new challenge for his World Heavyweight Championship, someone he's never faced before. Kurt Angle came to the ring, accepted the challenge and told Punk that if he wants to be a real champion, he needs to beat a real champion, Kurt Angle!
Over the four weeks between Survivor Series and Armageddon, tensions rose between CM Punk and Kurt Angle after Kurt said that he thinks Punk is the next big thing in the WWE, but he won't be anything unless he can beat a former five time world champion in the WWE and an Olympic Gold Medalist.
On the December 14th edition of Monday Night Raw, a tag team match took place between CM Punk & Kurt Angle versus Chris Jericho & James Gibson. During the final moments of the match, Punk was about to make a much needed tag to Kurt but Kurt jumped down off the ring apron and watched the rest of the match as a fan would. Once Punk got back to his feet, Jericho leaped up and hit Punk with the Codebreaker to get the win.
Kurt then grabbed the World Heavyweight Championship belt, got in the ring, pulled Punk up to his feet and hit him upside the head with the belt. Kurt then laid the belt on the mat, pulled Punk up and hit him with an Angle Slam right onto the belt. Kurt then posed with the belt to close the show.
At Armageddon, for the first time ever, CM Punk and Kurt Angle will meet one on one inside the squared circle for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship!
-WWE Championship-
James Gibson vs. Chris Jericho (c)
Even though James Gibson is the current United States Champion, Gibson won a ten man battle royal on the December 4th edition of Friday Night Smackdown to become the new number one contender for the WWE Championship. Through the weeks between Gibson's huge win and Armageddon, Jericho said that Gibson doesn't deserve to face him for his WWE Championship at Armageddon because Gibson never has and never will have what it takes to be in a world title match, much less be a world champion. Gibson begs the differ and says that he has worked so hard his entire career to make it to where he is today in the WWE and he's not going to let an arrogant prick like Chris Jericho, rain on his parade with childlike insults.
Jericho simply laughs at Gibson's determination and compares him to a small dog, a Chihuahua, saying how small dogs always think they're the boss and can overcome big things, much like Gibson. Jericho says that Gibson may have been a former world champion in an indy promotion, ROH, Jericho says that type of thing doesn't matter in the WWE. Jericho says that Gibson can have all the determination in the world but he will not ever be anything more than a one time Cruiserweight and a one time United States Champion. Gibson says that he knows he will be more than what Jericho says and that more will begin at Armageddon!
A new challenge arises for Chris Jericho and his WWE Championship. First it was John Morrison at No Mercy, then Undertaker at Survivor Series and now James Gibson getting his first world title shot ever in the WWE, at Armageddon! Can James Gibson rise to the occasion and become the world champion he says he was born to be or will Chris Jericho get the last laugh and walk out WWE Champion?
-45 Minute Ironman Match-
Shawn Michaels vs. Brock Lesnar
When these two faced off at No Mercy for the first time ever, Shawn Michaels defeated Brock Lesnar in a tremendous match. At Survivor Series, Brock Lesnar came out victorious after hitting Shawn Michaels with Brock Lesnar's signature Triple Powerbomb combination. With these two now even in their feud, each holding one victory over the other, Armageddon will be the place to settle the score. Since both men have had a history of good luck in Ironman matches, the two parties agreed to end their rivalry in an Ironman match at Armageddon. Lesnar says that he will come out the winner and continue to keep Shawn Michaels on the path to retirement at Wrestlemania 26. Michaels says that he's not ready to retire just yet and has fuel left in the tank. Michaels says that he's going to put Lesnar in his rightful place and climb to the top of the mountain once again. Plus, Shawn Michaels introduced his new protege in the WWE, former indy circuit wrestler, Chris Hero, last month and he will be at ringside for Shawn Michaels during this battle!
Who will be the one to end this feud with the upperhand in what should be an intense Ironman match? Will Brock Lesnar keep his word of continuing Shawn Michaels on the path to retirement or will Shawn Michaels continue to climb to the top of the mountain like he says?
-WWE Intercontinental Championship-
Ted DiBiase Jr. vs. Cody Rhodes vs. KENTA (c)
Last month at Survivor Series, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase Jr. fought to a fifteen minute time limit draw. The following night on Raw, Rhodes tried to once again talk to DiBiase about destroying their friendship but DiBiase wouldn't listen and once again beat down Rhodes. DiBiase said that he doesn't care what Rhodes has to say and is going to move on from dealing with the no-talent piece of trash that Rhodes is and challenge the current Intercontinental Champion, KENTA, for the Intercontinental Championship at Armageddon. The match was made but it was announced that Rhodes would be added to the match which frustrated DiBiase to the utmost degreee. DiBiase went on a rampage attacking the Intercontinental Champion, KENTA and posing with the Intercontinental Championship belt.
Rhodes said that championships are the least of his concerns right now, old friendships and brotherhood is on his mind right now, but Rhodes says that as long as he's in the title match, he's going to work his hardest to win the Intercontinental Championship. DiBiase says that Rhodes doesn't even deserve to be in the title match. DiBiase does say that if he wins the title at Armageddon, he will give Rhodes the first title shot, but only to humiliate him and so he can beat him with a prestigious title on the line.
KENTA will be making his first defense of the Intercontinental Championship in two months, can he hold onto his beloved Intercontinental Championship, or will Cody Rhodes get his first big break and come out of the smoke as the champion, or will Ted DiBiase begin his singles career with a bang?
-Singles Match-
Christian Cage vs. Montel Vontavious Porter
Following Survivor Series, MVP needed a new challenge, someone else to harass. After Christian Cage was cutting a promo on the November 23rd edition of Raw, saying that with the Royal Rumble coming up soon, it's time to focus and that the time has arrived for him to fulfill his destiny in the WWE by winning the Royal Rumble and going on to main event the biggest show of the year for WWE, Wrestlemania! MVP interrupted and said that Cage has yet to fulfill his destiny because he simply isn't good enough to hang with the big dogs. MVP says that he's been at the top of the mountain, he's been a former world champion in the WWE and that it isn't easy. MVP said that he could handle it, but Cage cannot.
MVP says much of what Mr.Kennedy said, yeah, Cage has been an NWA Champion in some second-rate piece of garbage promotion, TNA, but neither the NWA Championship nor TNA, mean anything anymore, they have no credibility! Cage says that MVP should never have become a world champion because the WWE shouldn't have allowed an ex-con to represent the company. MVP says people change for the better sometimes, and he did. Cage says that WWE needs someone like him to represent the company, an honest, hard working person who respects the fans that make the WWE what it is today.
Christian has the crowd fueling him but MVP has arrogance fueling him, which one is more powerful?
-World Tag Team Championship-
The Hart Dynasty vs. William Regal & Finlay (c)
At Survivor Series, The Hart Dynasty picked up a victory over their fellow Smackdown wrestlers, Rey Mysterio & Kofi Kingston. Prior to the match, Hart Dynasty said that after they win their match at Survivor Series, which they did, they would be challenging for the World Tag Team Championships. Finlay & William Regal coming off a huge loss at Survivor Series, didn't greet the challenge with open arms, instead they greeted it with anger and rage. Neither team has the crowd behind them but they don't care, they just want to win and be the champions, they want to be the number one tag team in the WWE!
This match at Armageddon will mark the first title opportunity for the young and cocky team of The Hart Dynasty consisting of David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd. Can the young and arrogant Hart Dynasty overcome the grumpy veterans of the squared circle for the biggest prize a tag team can win in the WWE? Or will the veterans brush this challenge off with ease to hold onto their tag titles?
-Singles Match-
John Morrison vs. Mr.Kennedy
John Morrison came off Survivor Series feeling good, he was apart of the winning team in the huge five-on-five traditional Survivor Series match that disbanded Royalty and ended the John Bradshaw Layfield regime! Kennedy, however, was not feeling so good coming off Survivor Series, he lost in a singles match against Christian Cage. These two had a match on the November 25th edition of Superstars but it ended in disqualification after Kennedy lost his temper, locked in a submission hold and when Morrison got the ropes, Kennedy refused to break, which forced the referee to declare John Morrison the winner via disqualification.
Kennedy feels that Morrison is what's wrong with the WWE today. Kennedy says that Morrison is just another young but with no more charisma than Giant Gonzalez. Kennedy says that it's what you can do on the mic that makes you a star in the WWE, not necessarily what glittering moves you do in the ring. Morrison disagrees and says that overall talent makes you a star, not running your mouth and being annoying. Both men are stuck in limbo when it comes to their position in the WWE. Officials aren't doing much with them so why not have a match against eachother?
-Number One Contenders Match; United States Championship-
Gregory Helms vs. Jack Swagger
With the current United States Champion, James Gibson, getting his first world title shot at Armageddon, officials have decided to hold a number one contenders match for the United States Championship, the next challenger for Gibson's prized belt. Gregory Helms has gotten a shot at the belt before but came short of walking out the champion. Jack Swagger has been a European Champion, but not for very long before officials decided to once again retire the championship, this time for good. Swagger says that he needs another championship around his waist to prove to everyone that he is just as damn good as he says, so, why not become the United States Champion? Helms says that all his professional wrestling career, he's always been held down in tag teams and getting nothing more than Cruiserweight Championship matches, he says it's time to rise to the occasion and get his big break he's been waiting for!
Who will walk out the next challenger for James Gibson's United States Championship?

KENTA will continue to be an interpromotional wrestler, able to appear on both brands.
Although the current World Tag Team Champions, Finlay & William Regal, are on separate brands, they will still remain the champions until they lose the championships in a match. The same will hold true for United States Champion, James Gibson.
Rosters on first page of this thread will be updated momentarily!
As of right now, the Intercontinental Championship match at Armageddon, has been changed to a one on one match with KENTA defending against Ted DiBiase Jr. The story behind Cody Rhodes no longer being included is that DiBiase put Rhodes out of action by inducing a minor neck injury on Rhodes at a house show several days prior to Armageddon.
The Undertaker has not been in action since Survivor Series and is not expected to be back in the ring until the Royal Rumble, in which he will be participating in the Royal Rumble match.
Apparently, plans to put the World Tag Team Championship belts on Shawn Michaels & Chris Hero, have been scrapped as WWE wants to continue with the feud between Hart Dynasty & Regal/Finlay after Armageddon. WWE feels that two veteran wrestlers like Regal/Finlay feuding with younger stars for the tag titles will add prestige to the championships.
WWE is currently in progress of possibly setting up an international joint show with Japanese wrestling promotions, New Japan Pro Wrestling, All Japan Pro Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling NOAH. WWE wants to go back to the olden days where there would be wrestling summits held between the WWF and Japanese wrestling promotions.
**Out Of Character**
I'm almost done with writing Armageddon, I just have three matches left to write. Look for Armageddon to be posted sometime by December 13th!
WWE has announced that on Sunday, February 7th 2010, WWE will head over to Japan and be apart of an interpromotional show at the Tokyo Dome along with wrestlers from New Japan Pro Wrestling & Pro Wrestling NOAH. There is an expected champion versus champion match to take place between the World Heavyweight Champion (WWE) and the GHC Heavyweight Champion (Pro Wrestling NOAH), as well as a huge tag team match pitting two WWE wrestlers against one NOAH wrestler and one New Japan wrestler. More details will be released periodically. Two wrestlers from each company have been confirmed and they are listed below:
Jim Ross: Welcome everyone to the tenth annual WWE Armageddon pay-per-view! I tell you what, it sure is great to be back here in the booth calling this show here tonight! As many of you know, while JBL was in charge of the WWE, he removed me from commentary and put himself in my position. Since CM Punk and his team was successful last month at Survivor Series of ridding JBL and Royalty of power in the WWE, I am now back in the booth!
Jerry Lawler: Great to have you back, JR! Tonight, we've got alot of big matches including the huge forty-five minute Ironman match that will take place between Shawn Michaels and Brock Lesnar!
Jim Ross: That's right, King! Tonight, Brock Lesnar and Shawn Michaels will settle the score and only one man will come out with the upperhand, ending the much heated rivalry between these two extroidinary athletes and wrestlers! Also tonight we've got the huge WWE Championship match with the challenger and current United States Champion, James Gibson, getting his first opportunity at becoming a world champion here tonight against the current WWE Champion, Chris Jericho!
Jerry Lawler: Yeah, and tonight is a very special night for James Gibson, even if he doesn't win the title here tonight. I talked to Gibson earlier tonight before the show and he said that tonight is a special night no matter what the outcome of his match. He said it's special no matter what because just getting the opportunity at becoming a world champion in the WWE, is a huge thing for him, since he has worked so hard to get to where he's going to be at tonight.
Jim Ross: Indeed it is a special thing and I'm proud to say that I've always supported the very talented James Gibson all throughout his professional wrestling career. I'm proud to see him getting this opportunity tonight and being in the spotlight tonight, like he rightfully deserves! Plus ladies and gentlemen, we've got the World Heavyweight Championship on the line with CM Punk defending against Kurt Angle, the first time these two will meet inside the squared circle in a one on one match! All in all, tonight should be a pretty amazing night, fantastic matches lined up for this evening! Lets get this show started!
