Awesome rumble show. Keep up the good work. Really enjoying this, great read. Rumble was well booked, title up for grabs and Kennedy wins, nicely done.

Raw's opening intro video plays and then Raw fades onto the air with the camera panning around the arena showcasing the rabid fans.

JR - Welcome everyone to Monday Night Raw !! It's the fall out of last night's Royal Rumble Pay-Per-View !! And we're gonna kick it off with our new World Heavyweight Champion.

Mr.Kennedy's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as Kennedy walks out onto the stage in his ring tights but with a Mr.Kennedy T-Shirt on and the World Heavyweight Championship around his waist.

Lillian - Please welcome the new World Heavyweight Champion, Mr.Kennedy !!!

Kennedy walks down the ramp taunting the crowd as the crowd boos. Kennedy gets down to the ringside area, he walks up the ring steps up onto the apron, gets into the ring through the middle rope and walks to the center of he ring. The lights go out and a spotlight is shining down on him as he raises his arm in the air to signal for his microphone. The mic falls down from the ceiling into his hand. He lowers it down to his mouth as his theme fades away.

Mr.Kennedy - Ladies and Gentlemen, I stand here before you as the New World Heavyweight Champion !!!! Miiissssstttttaaaaa !!! Kennnneeddaayyyy !!!!

Kennedy pauses before he walks over into the corner, gets up onto the second ropes and lowers the mic back down to his mouth.

Mr.Kennedy - Kennnneddaayyyy !!!!!

The crowd boos as Kennedy chomps down on his gum and looks out into the crowd. He jumps down from the second ropes and walks backwards to the center of the ring. He then takes off the world title belt from his waist with his free hand then puts the mic back up to his mouth to speak.

Mr.Kennedy - Last night I devised a strategy like no other. When it was my time to go out into that ring and enter the royal rumble match, I waited in my locker room until the opportune moment. I waited until every other man except the champion, JBL was in that ring, I made my way down the ramp, got into the ring, ran up behind JBL and dumped him over the top rope. I am without a doubt the smartest man in the history of the WWE !!!

The crowd boos at Kennedy as Kennedy laughs

Mr.Kennedy - And now because of my strategy I am the World Heavyweight Champion. And I plan on being world champion for a very long time, so get used to it. Ya see, JBL didn't have what it took to be a champion. I mean, he's obviously out of shape and just isn't good enough to hold this title. This title has been held by some of the greatest men in the history of this business. Ric Flair, Ricky Steamboat, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, The Undertaker and now....Me.

The crowd boos once again. JBL's theme suddenly hits the arena and the crowd also boos. JBL walks out onto the stage with his signature suit on, cowboy hat on and mic in hand. JBL walks down the ramp, gets down to the ringside area, walks up the ring steps up onto the apron, gets into the ring and stands in front of Kennedy. JBL's theme fades away as the crowd begins a "You both suck" chant.

JBL - Just incase you forgot Mr.Kennedy, that belt is mine. The match was over, you didn't show up when you were supposed to so that belt rightfully belongs to me !! Last night in this very arena, I last eliminated the home town hero, Christian Cage and rightfully retained my title !!

The crowd cheers at the mention of Christian Cage

JBL - I want my title back and I want it back right now !!

Mr.Kennedy - Alright Alright, you're right, this belt is rightfully yours, I didn't show up at the right time and I'm sorry.

Kennedy grabs the title off of his shoulder and begins to hand it over to JBL before pulling it back quickly.

Mr.Kennedy - Hahahaha !! Look at you, your pathetic !! *Mocks JBL* Wawawa !! I want my title back, that title is mine. OOohhh Shut up !! This belt belongs to me and it always will !!

Christian Cage's theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers as Cage walks out onto the stage with a t-shirt and blue jeans on with a mic in hand. His theme quickly fades away.

Christian Cage - Both of you will you please shut the hell up !!!

The crowd cheers

Christian Cage - Tonight, I want a match for the world heavyweight title right here in my hometown of Toronto !!!!

JBL - Whoa whoa whoa. I deserve a rematch not you !!! I was the former champion, not you !!

Christian Cage - Well I guess we'll just have to have ourselves a little triple threat match then huh ?

The crowd cheers once again.

Mr.Kennedy - Alright alright, you want a triple threat match. You're on !!!

JBL takes his cowboy hat off and throws it down to the mat and begins to throw another fit. Cage's theme hits the arena once again as Raw fades into a commercial.

**Commercials**

JR - Welcome back everyone and up next we've got some tag team action. It's The Carolina Connection going up against Cryme Tyme !!

King - That's right JR and tonight right here in the main event it's going to be a Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship !! It's the champion Mr.Kennedy defending against JBL and Christian Cage !! Gonna be great !!

JR - No doubt about that King but let's get the first match of the night underway !!

Cryme Tyme's theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers as JTG and Shad make their way out onto the stage. They do their signature entrance pose then begin to walk down the ramp touching people's hands as they extend them.

Lillian - This match is scheduled for one fall, first making their way to the ring, weighing in at a combined weight of 530 pounds, Shad and JTG, Cryme Tyme !!

JTG slides under the bottom rope into the ring, gets up and begins to dance around the ring as Shad gets into the ring in the traditional way. Their theme fades away as they await their opponents.

Shelton Benjamin's theme hits the arena and the crowd gives a mixed reaction as Shelton and Helms make their way out onto the stage. They begin to make their way down the ramp.

Lillian - And their opponents weighing in at a combined weight of 463 pounds, Shelton Benjamin and Gregory Helms, The Carolina Connection !!

They both get down to the ringside area, walk up the ring steps and get into the ring to face their opponent. Soon after their theme fades away.

Match One - The Carolina Connection vs Cryme Tyme

After The Carolina Connection picked up their first victory as a tag team last week on Raw, they hope to get a second victory added to the record books. Shelton and Gregory are confident that if they can get enough victories in the book, they will have the opportunity to take the World Tag Team Championship belts away from Rated RKO. This is a very well worked back and forth action packed match with both teams hitting high impact moves on one another. The final moments of the match see Shelton hit JTG with a throw off the top turnbuckle and Helms hitting a Shining Wizard on Shad. Helms quickly goes for the pinfall on Shad and gets the three count. Shelton and Helms quickly jump up to celebrate their victory as the referee raises their arms up in the air.

Winners - The Carolina Connection via pinfall at 10:33

Their theme hits the arena and the crowd gives a mixed reaction as both Shelton and Helms get up onto the second ropes in separate corners of the ring and raise their arms up in the air to signify victory.

JR - Well The Carolina Connection picking up the victory over Cryme Tyme in what was a terrific tag team match. One of the best I've seen in recent memory.

King - Oh I agree with you there JR. What a match.

JR - Well ladies and gentlemen two weeks from now Friday Night Smackdown is making it's return but this time it's going to be on the USA network and we're going to be calling the action King.

King - Oh boy JR ! I cannot wait !!

JR - Neither can I King. But up next we've got some on one one action, it's the Intercontinental Champion, Elijah Burke going one on one in a non-title match against Matt Hardy, should be great.

Matt Hardy's theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers as Hardy makes his way out onto the stage and then does his signature taunt before making his way down the ramp towards the ring.

Lillian - This non-title match is scheduled for one fall, first making his way to the ring, weighing in at 236 pounds, Matt Hardy !!

Matt touches the fan's hands as they extend them, he gets down to the ringside area, walks up the ring steps and gets into the ring. His theme then begins to fade away after several moments.

JR - Matt Hardy a former United States Champion and has held practically every single title in the WWE except the Intercontinental and World Heavyweight Championships. I know Matt would love to one day hold both of those two titles.

Burke's theme then hits the arena and the crowd boos. Burke walks out onto the stage with the Intercontinental Championship around his waist. He smiles as he taunts Matt while making his way down the ramp.

Lillian - And his opponent, making his way to the ring, weighing in at 230 pounds, the Intercontinental Champion, Elijah Burke !!!

Burke gets down to the ringside area, walks up the ring steps, gets into the ring, gets up onto the second ropes in a corner, takes off his title belt and holds it up in the air. He jumps down, hands the belt to the referee as he prepares for the match. His theme fades away as the crowd starts a small "Hardy" chant.

Match Two - Elijah Burke vs Matt Hardy (Non-Title)

With this being Matt's first singles match in the year of 2009 he hopes to gain his first victory over the Intercontinental Champion, Elijah Burke. This is a back and forth match with both men hitting their signature high impact moves on one another. The final moments see Hardy go for the Twist of Fate but Burke pushes Matt off of him, Matt stumbles backwards into the corner, Burke hits Matt with the Stinger Splash and then hits him with the Elijah Experience for the pinfall victory.

Winner - Elijah Burke via pinfall at 8:01

Burke's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as Burke quickly grabs his title belt from the referee and rolls out of the ring. Burke holds up his title belt as he backs up the ramp and smiling. Hardy is stirring in the ring as Burke taunts the crowd. Raw fades into a commercial with Burke walking backwards up the ramp with the title in his hand.

JR - Welcome back everyone and coming up right now, it's the first Highlight Reel of 2009 !!

King - Should be great, JR !!

**Highlight Reel**

We come back from commercial with The Highlight Reel set in the ring. The lights go out and Jericho's theme suddenly hits the arena as then pyro shoots up from the stage. Jericho steps out onto the stage with a suit on. He then begins to make his way down to ringside.

Lillian - Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome, Chris Jericho !!

The crowd boos as Jericho walks up the ring steps, gets into the ring, the lights come back on as he then grabs the mic from Lillian and Lillian gets out of the ring. Jericho's theme fades away as Jericho begins to speak.

Chris Jericho - Last night I was in the Royal Rumble match and was mere moments away from winning the Royal Rumble match and the World Heavyweight Championship but then....your hero...The Undertaker eliminated me.

The crowd cheers at the mentioning of The Undertaker

Chris Jericho - Now I know how you fans love The Undertaker and you just think he's the greatest thing since sliced bread which isn't saying much. I mean The Undertaker has been around for eighteen years now and has beaten everyone that there is to beat. But he hasn't beaten me yet. Infact we've never even faced off before in a one on one singles match. Last night he took away my dream of one day becoming World Heavyweight Champion. Yeah I may have beat The Rock and Stone Cold in one night to become the first ever Undisputed Champion but that was seven years ago now and since then I've never been world champion again. Over the past two years The Undertaker has been World Heavyweight Champion, twice now and me zero. So right now I'm calling out The Undertaker and I want him to explain to me why he had to take away my dream last night and why he couldn't have just eliminated someone else instead.

After several moments the lights go out and the bell tolls. Undertaker's theme hits the arena as the crowd cheers for Undertaker. The stage and ramp way fill up with mist. After several moments Undertaker slowly walks out onto the stage and stares straight down the ramp way to Jericho in the middle of the ring. Undertaker then begins to walk down the ramp, he stops in front of the ring and stares at Jericho. He turns left and slowly walks up the ring steps. He stops at the top, slowly raises his arms in the air and the lights return to normal. He steps up onto the apron, gets into the ring through the middle rope and walks right up to Jericho, face to face. Undertaker's theme fades away as the crowd starts an "Undertaker" chant.

Chris Jericho - Welcome to the Highlight Reel, glad you could make it. So why did you feel that you had to eliminate me last night and crush my dreams ? Huh ? Was it because you wanted all the glory and title reigns to yourself ? Are you really that selfish ? Huh ? Are you ? Let's see the footage.

Jericho turns to the Jeritron and the royal rumble match appears on the tron and picks up several moments before Undertaker eliminates Jericho. It then shows Undertaker eliminating Jericho.

Chris Jericho - There !! Right there !! So, why'd you do it ? I know people say, oh it's every man for himself, I understand that but when someone ruins my hopes and dreams, I don't look at it that way. So why'd you do it ? Huh ? Answer me deadman !!

Jericho then slaps the Undertaker with his free hand. Undertaker looks down at the mat with a furious look on his face. The lights go out and after about forty seconds, they come back on. The Jeritron is broken, Jericho is lying on the mat bleeding from the forehead and Undertaker is nowhere to be seen. Raw fades into another commercial.

**Commercials**

JR - Welcome back everyone and up next we've got some more tag team action !! It's The Hooligans taking on Priceless !!!

King - Should be great, JR. Two of the very best tag teams in the WWE today, going one on one.

Priceless's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as they make their way out onto the stage. They begin to taunt the crowd as they make their way down the ramp.

Lillian - This tag team match is scheduled for one fall, first making their way to the ring at a combined weight of 457 pounds, the team of, Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase, Priceless !!

They get down to the ringside area, walk up the ring steps one by one, get into the ring, get up on the second ropes in separate corners and raise their arms in the air. They jump down and their theme fades away into silence with a few boos scatted here and there from the crowd.

JR - Priceless, former two time tag team champions together and hoping to eventually get back on top of the tag team world once again.

The Hooligan's theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers as they walk out onto the stage, look at eachother then run down the ramp and slide under the bottom rope right into the ring. They quickly get up, their theme fades away and the match begins.

Match Three - The Hooligans vs Priceless

With both teams former multiple time tag team champions, the competition between these two teams is stiff and both teams desperately want to get back on top of the tag team world and be the best tag team in the WWE. Back and forth match all throughout. No team is dominating per say. The final moments of the match see Brian Kendrick hit Rhodes with Sliced Bread #2, goes for the cover but Dibiase pulls him up and clotheslines him over the top rope out onto the floor. London gets into the ring but Dibiase grabs him then hits him with his Million Dollar Dream Legsweep finishing move for the pinfall victory.

Winners - Priceless at 12:33

Their theme hits the arena once again as they then celebrate walking backwards up the ramp and taunting Kendrick who is now in the ring helping London recover. This scene fades away into a backstage segment where Edge and Orton are seen in their locker room, Orton has a T-Shirt and blue jeans on, sitting on a black leather couch while Edge is standing in front of
him with his ring gear on and a black denim vest. Edge then sits down next to Orton on the couch.

Edge - Ya know, after beating CM Punk last night at the Rumble, I'm feeling good, I'm feeling alive and actually feel like kicking his ass again tonight too.

Orton laughs but then Vince walks into the room and they both look at him standing in front of them.

Edge - Hey boss, what's up ?

Vince - Yeah yeah...so I assume that you want another match with Punk tonight huh ?

Edge looks over at Orton and then back at Vince.

Edge - Yeah, I mean why not ? I beat him last night and I ya know, kind of feel like doing it again tonight.

Vince - Sorry, can't do it.

Edge - What do you mean ? I mean what happened. You do know that I'm one half of the World Tag Team Champions....right ?

Vince - Yes I do know, thanks for informing me. Anyways, already have a scheduled match for you tonight. Sorry.

Edge - Against who ?

Vince - You'll find out. See ya out there, champ.

Edge looks over at Orton and mocks Vince as Vince walks out of the room. Edge shacks his head in disappointment.

**Commercials**

We come back from commercials and Edge's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos. Edge and Orton walk out onto the stage. The stage is filled up with mist. Edge in ring gear and Orton in street clothes. Orton has his tag belt over his shoulder and Edge has his around his waist.

Lillian - This match is scheduled for one fall, first making his way to the ring, weighing in at 250 pounds, Edge !!

Edge and Orton walk down the ramp, they get down to the ringside area, walk up the ring steps and get into the ring. Edge gets up on the second ropes in a corner, takes his belt off and holds it up in the air. Orton stands behind him down on the mat clapping. Edge jumps down and hands his title belt to Orton. Edge's theme fades away and they await his opponent.

King - Who's his opponent, JR ?

JR - We'll have to wait and see King.

RVD's theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers as a small pyro display is set off from the stage. RVD walks out onto the stage, stops at the top of the ramp and does his signature "Rob Van Dam" taunt.

Lillian - And his opponent, weighing in at 237 pounds, Rob Van Dam !!

Orton gets out of the ring as Edge prepares. RVD walks down the ramp, up the ring steps, climbs up onto the second ropes and does his taunt once again before then jumping over the top rope into the ring. His theme fades away as the crowd begins an RVD chant.

Match Four - Rob Van Dam vs Edge

This match is a match dominated mostly by Edge but RVD gets in a few spots of offense. During the match Edge tosses RVD over the top rope, Edge purposely walks over to a corner, pulls the turnbuckle pad off then hands it to the referee who goes and puts it back on. Edge gets out of the ring, grabs a steel chair, walks around the side of the ring, Orton pulls RVD up to his feet and Edge hits RVD with a steel chair. Edge hands the chair to Orton who then slides it under the bottom rope. Edge pulls RVD back to his feet, slides him under the bottom rope into the ring, gets in the ring himself, goes for the cover, the referee runs over but RVD gets his foot on the bottom rope. Later on in the match, Edge is crouched down in a corner ready to hit the spear on RVD. Punk runs down the ramp, the crowd cheers, Punk takes down Orton, gets up on the ring apron which distracts Edge. Edge turns around to hit Punk but Punk quickly jumps down from the apron. RVD comes up behind Edge, does a roll up and gets the pinfall.

Winner - Rob Van Dam at 15:05

RVD quickly slides out of the ring and celebrates his victory with Punk on the outside. Orton pulls himself up with help from the ring apron. RVD and Punk walk backwards up the ramp as Edge is furious in the ring. He pushes the referee out of the way, gets out of the ring and kicks the steel steps in frustration. Edge pulls on his hair and is taunting RVD/Punk. Raw fades into a commercial with Edge throwing a fit.

**Commercials**

JR - Welcome back everyone and a match has been made for the February 6th return of Friday Night Smackdown. It's going to be CM Punk and RVD challenging Rated RKO for the World Tag Team Championships. Oh it sounds like an absolute classic, King.

King - Oh I wouldn't bet against that, JR.

JR - Well up next we've got the main event, King. It's the Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Mr.Kennedy makes his first title defense against Christian Cage and the former champion, JBL.

King - Oh my, I can't wait for this match. No doubt that it's going to be well..

JR - A slobber knocker ?

King - Exactly !!

JBL's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as JBL walks out onto the stage with his signature black jacket, towel around his neck and cowboy hat on. He begins to walk down the ramp with a determined yet angry look.

Lillian - This match is scheduled for one fall and it is a Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship !! First making his way to the ring, weighing in at 290 pounds, J-B-L !!

JBL walks up the ring steps onto the ring apron, looks out into the crowd with a look of disgust before getting into the ring. JBL's theme fades away as JBL takes off his entrance attire. He bounces off the ropes multiple times to get ready.

JR - JBL a former WWE Champion, World Heavyweight Champion and basically has held all the titles there are to hold here in the WWE except a couple of course.

The lights go out and Cage's theme hits the arena. The crowd cheers as Cage walks out onto the stage and begins to walk down the ramp.

Lillian - And his opponent, weighing in at 240 pounds, Christian Cage !!

Cage walks up the ring steps onto the apron, looks out into the crowd and points at some peeps. He gets into the ring and looks at JBL before his theme fades away into silence.

JR - Christian Cage also has held basically every title there is to hold here in the WWE except the all important, World Heavyweight Championship, infact, I believe this is his first shot at the world title excluding the rumble match last night.

Mr.Kennedy's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as Kennedy walks out onto the stage with the world title around his waist. He begins to walk down the ramp as he taunts the crowd.

Lillian - And making his way to the ring weighing in at 243 pounds, the World Heavyweight Champion, Mr.Kennedy !!

Kennedy walks up the ring steps, gets into the ring, climbs up on the second ropes in a corner, takes his belt off and holds it up in the air as the crowd boos. Kennedy jumps down, walks up in front of JBL, holds the world title up in front of him and then snatches it away before laughing. He then does the same thing to Cage. Kennedy hands the world title to the referee who then raises it up in the air signifying that it's on the line.

Main Event - Mr.Kennedy (c) vs Christian Cage vs JBL (World Heavyweight Championship)

This match is full of action, no parts that were really slow. One spot during the match was Cage hitting Kennedy with an unprettier on the outside onto the floor. The final moments of the match see Cage hit JBL with the unprettier, going for the pinfall but Triple H runs down the ramp, gets into the ring and breaks up the pinfall. He pulls Cage up and clotheslines him over the top rope. Triple H gets out of the ring after him. Kennedy slides into the ring from the opposite side, JBL gets up, Kennedy hits him with the Mic Check and gets the pinfall.

Winner and STILL World Heavyweight Champion - Mr.Kennedy at 27:55

Kennedy's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as Kennedy makes his way back up the ramp with the title around his shoulder and obviously exhausted. He holds the title up in the air and laughs as Triple H continues to beat down Cage on the outside. Raw fades off the air with Triple H staring at Kennedy up on the ramp way.

I love the idea of the Carolina Connection. Would be a pretty kick ass team.

I really liked the opening promo, and Christian deserves a push!

Kennedy being champion is fresh and as a fan of his, FTW.

Fuck HHH

RVD and Punk as a team is epic too.

The Carolina Connection over Cryme Tyme is good. I'm not a HUGE fan of CC but I do love the idea of the Carolina Connection. Reminds me of Motor City Machine Guns or 2nd City Saints in a way. An indy feel. Plus it gives the teams a personal feel, as if they know each other well and that they can work together as a tandem is believable.

Burke winnning =/. I like Burke, but again I'm not a huge fan of his. Especially since I haven't seen him in long time. Hopefully Hardy can bounce back.

I absolutely love Mr. Kennedy as the World Champion, though. I can dream that day it'll happen, but until then lol I'll follow this.
