~News Report from Wrestlezone~ **Possible Spoilers**
The Undertaker was injured at the January 15th house show which caused him to not be at the January 16th show. It is believed that he tore his bicep which is the same injury he had back in 2007 that caused his world title reign to be cut short. Knowing Undertaker don't expect him to take the time off for another three months or so because WWE has big plans for Wrestlemania this year and he doesn't want to ruin those. Undertaker will not be working anymore house shows though. He will still continue to work Raw and PPV events. The Undertaker is seriously considering retirement due to his being his third injury just in the past two years and many old injuries nagging at him.
WWE is seriously considering having the world title change hands at the Royal Rumble. JBL has mentioned that his back is bothering him again. Before he won the world title a couple weeks ago he was asked if his back was better and at that time he said it was. After working on a champions schedule for a mere couple of weeks, JBL's back isn't doing so well. It is not confirmed yet but there is a good chance that the title could change hands at the Rumble or soon after that because it isn't believed that he can continue on a champions schedule up until Wrestlemania where he was originally planned to drop the belt. There is talk of having the Royal Rumble match be for the World Heavyweight Championship then setting up a Tournament for who would face the world champion for the title at Wrestlemania. If these plans do go through expect a younger superstar to be taking the belt at the Rumble as well as Wrestlemania.
There is also serious talk of Shawn Michaels having his retirement match at this year's Wrestlemania. HBK is no older than The Undertaker but is in far worse physical condition and just can't be out there on the road anymore. Many want to see him with the world title one more time before leaving but Shawn doesn't want the title. It was a shame that Ric Flair didn't get the big gold belt that he made famous before he retired and it will be a shame if Shawn Michaels doesn't get the title one more time either. With that being said. There could be a Retirement Match at Wrestlemania between The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. As of right now there are plans to have a Jericho/Taker feud with a match at Wrestlemania but with both HBK and Taker considering retirement we could have a Retirement match at Wrestlemania. Also if Undertaker retires don't be surprised to see him back every year around Wrestlemania time. The WWE wants his streak to go to 20-0 before Undertaker permanently hangs up the boots.

Right now it looks like the title will infact change hands at the Royal Rumble with the Royal Rumble match to be for the World Heavyweight Championship. WWE doesn't often like to give out two or three week reigns but in this case it is absolutely necessary. There is debate who will become the new champion. Several of the names being talked about are Matt Hardy, Christian Cage, Mr.Kennedy and MVP. There's also talk about having the plan for a title change at Wrestlemania changed due to the fact that if the title changes hands at the Rumble, the new champion would also get a short reign. JBL is hesitant to drop the title and is trying to work out a deal where he would work no house shows. There is still a small chance that JBL could retain the title at the Rumble but it is unlikely.
Wrestlemania 25 will take place in Houston, Texas and will take place on March 29th. WWE has some big plans for Wrestlemania this year which includes a Money in the Bank Ladder Match.
As of right now the plans for an Undertaker/Shawn Michaels retirement match at Wrestlemania are dead. WWE has decided against the move. Shawn Michaels will have a retirement match at Wrestlemania but it will be against a different opponent. Both are thinking of retiring but from a business standpoint it's only smart to let one of them go due to both of them being two of the main superstars in the company. Although today The Undertaker met with Dr.Andrews to analyze his injury. Undertaker did indeed tear his bicep but he will not miss any ring time for another three or so months. The plans for a Jericho/Undertaker feud are back in full swing.
WWE Raw;January 19th 2009; Montreal, Quebec, Canada
The Raw opening video plays as usual then Raw officially fades onto the air with the camera panning around the arena showing the fans on their feet as the Raw theme plays throughout the arena. A huge firework display is set off from the main stage as the camera then focuses on that before making one more pan around the arena.
JR - Welcome everyone to Monday Night Raw here in Montreal, Quebec, Canada !!! What a show we have planned for you tonight folks !!
King - That's right JR and I can't wait !!
All the sudden Rated RKO's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos. The stage area fills up with fog. Edge and Orton walk out onto the stage. Edge has on his ring attire pants with a black denim vest on with his World Tag Team Championship belt around his waist. Orton is wearing his ring attire tights with a Randy Orton T-Shirt on with his World Tag Team Championship belt in his hand. They stop at the top of the ramp standing next to eachother, Edge points up to the ceiling, Orton holds his title belt up in the air and fireworks shoot up from the stage behind them. After the fireworks stop, Edge lowers his arms and Orton lowers his belt. They then begin to walk down the ramp. They get down to the ringside area, Edge slides under the bottom rope into the ring, Orton walks up the ring steps up onto the ring apron and gets into the ring. Edge walks to a corner, climbs up on the second ropes and does his signature taunt as the crowd boos. Orton is in the opposite corner doing his signature pose. They both jump down, Edge walks to the back ropes of the ring, leans over the top rope and demands a mic. Lillian hands him the mic, Edge turns back around and walks to the center of the ring as Rated RKO's theme fades away. The crowd boos.
JR - World Tag Team Champions, Rated RKO starting the show off tonight !!
The crowd continues to boo before Edge can begin to speak.
Edge - Shut up !!
The crowd begins a 'You Suck' chant as Edge and Orton are beginning to get frustrated.
Edge - Last week my tag team partner, Randy Orton, was in a one on one match with the former World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk !!
The crowd cheers at the mention of CM Punk
Edge - And CM Punk lost !! Because of me !!!!
The crowd boos and Edge chuckles
Edge - Yeah I said it !! Because of me !! CM Punk doesn't have what it takes to be in the ring with the Legend Killer Randy Orton nor myself the Rated R Superstar !! Ya see we're out here right now not to just put CM Punk down but to say I will win the Royal Rumble this Sunday, go on to Wrestlemania and take my World Heavyweight Championship match that you CM Punk !! You stole from me last June !! JBL may be the champion now but that's my belt and CM Punk stole it from me last June when he cashed in his little Money in the Bank contract !!
The crowd boos as Edge has an angry look on his face. Edge begins to speak again with an intensified tone.
Edge - CM Punk !! At the Royal Rumble !! I want you !!! In a Street Fight so I can get my revenge on you for taking my title last year !! Because see after you beat me for the belt, I never got my rematch !! And you knew that if you cashed in on Raw that night, you wouldn't have to go through me to retain the title because I had to go back to Smackdown !! Well now you can't hide anymore !!!
Orton grabs the mic from Edge as Edge looks shocked for some reason.
Orton - CM Punk, last week, you stepped into the ring with the very best and you got beat !! I'm the Legend Killer, a former two time WWE Champion, Intercontinental Champion, World Heavyweight Champion and World Tag Team Champion. That's more than you'll ever be able to say about yourself here in the WWE. The only title you've held is the World Heavyweight Championship and I mean come on, you won in such a wimp like manner instead of actually challenging Edge and facing him in a fair match. I mean even I won the world title in a fair match.
All the sudden JBL's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos. JBL walks out onto the stage with his signature cowboy hat on and a suit. He is holding the World Heavyweight Championship by the strap. He walks down the ramp, walks up the ring steps up onto the apron, gets into the ring and grabs the mic from Orton as his theme fades away. The crowd boos before JBL can begin to speak.
JBL - Sorry to interrupt your little play time boys but the current World Heavyweight Champion is here. I'm here to say what a great day it is to be alive because JBL is still World Heavyweight Champion !! Haha !!
The crowd boos as JBL smiles and holds his world title up in the air.
JBL - Last week RVD made the challenge to me for this world title.....and lost. Ya see when you step into the ring with JBL you step into the ring with a Wrestling God. CM Punk, you had your time as champion and you lost it. Ya know, since last week I stepped into the ring and retained my title, I'm feeling nice and I'm gonna put together a number one contenders match for which the winner will face be, the champion, at the Royal Rumble. It's gonna be Rob Van Dam vs CM Punk and know what...
JBL turns to Edge and Randy Orton.
JBL - Since I'm feeling extra nice tonight, I'm gonna put you two in the match as well !!
Edge and Orton nod their heads in agreement, look at eachother, agree and look back at JBL.
JBL - Like that ? Well I've got some news for ya boys, I was joking. You actually think I'm gonna do something like that ?
All the sudden Vince McMahon's theme hits the arena and the crowd gives a mixed reaction as Vince does his signature walk out onto the stage, down the ramp, walks up the ring steps up onto the ring apron, gets into the ring and grabs the mic from JBL as JBL has a look of anger on his face. Vince's theme fades away as he begins to speak.
Vince - Well well well, it's the World Heavyweight Champion, JBL !! How would you fans like to see the match that JBL proposed here tonight ?
Vince raises his right arm in the air and looks out into the crowd as the crowd cheers.
Vince - Tonight it's gonna be Rob Van Dam vs CM Punk vs Edge vs Randy Orton in a Fatal Four Way Number One Contenders match here tonight on Raw with the winning going on to face JBL this Sunday at the Royal Rumble for that very title you have in your hand JBL !! How ya like that, champ ?
Vince's theme hits the arena again when he drops the mic and Raw fades into a commercial with Edge/Orton happy and JBL angry throwing a fit.

JR - Welcome back everyone and just announced moments ago, tonight in the main event it's a Fatal Four Way, it's CM Punk vs RVD vs Edge vs Randy Orton and the winner of the match will go on to face JBL for the title this Sunday at the Royal Rumble !! Gonna be interesting to see how that pans out, King.
King - Oh I agree with you JR. But up next we've got the former Intercontinental Champion, Kofi Kingston in action !! How great is Kofi Kingston, JR ?!
JR - Yes, Kofi Kingston is a great young athlete with alot of potential, King. Let's get it underway !!
Kofi Kingston's theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers as he jumps out onto the stage and does his signature entrance theatrics. He begins to sprint down the ramp while touching the fan's hands as they extend them out to him. Kofi gets down to ringside area, he walks up the ring steps up onto the apron and gets into the ring.
Lillian - This match is scheduled for one fall, first in the ring weighing in at 225 pounds, Kofi Kingston !!!
Kofi gets up on the second ropes in a corner and poses for the crowd while then doing his signature taunt. He jumps down and awaits his opponent as his theme fades away.
JR - Kofi Kingston, great young athlete and was a great Intercontinental Champion.
Charlie Haas theme hits the arena and the crowd gives a near silent reaction as Charlie walks out onto the stage and begins making his way down the ramp.
Lillian - And his opponent, weighing in at 242 pounds, Charlie Haas !!
Charlie makes his way down to the ringside area, he walks up the ring steps and gets into the ring as his theme fades away into silence.
1 - Kofi Kingston vs Charlie Haas
This is the first singles match for Kofi Kingston of the year and the first match for Charlie Haas in quite a long time. Both men chomping at the bit to add a victory to their record book. This is a solid back and forth match with both men in complete control throughout small patches of the match. The final moments see Kofi Kingston hit Charlie Haas with his finishing move called 'Trouble In Paradise' to gain the pinfall
Winner - Kofi Kingston at 5:04
The crowd gives a good pop for Kofi as his theme hits and the referee raises his arm up in the air. Kofi gets up on the second ropes in a corner for which he proceeds to do his signature taunt before Raw fades into a commercial.

We come back to Raw with the camera focused on the stage which all the sudden the lights go out and Triple H's theme hits the arena and the crowd showers Triple H with a mixture of cheers and boos as Triple H walks out onto the stage with a designer suit on and sunglasses on. Triple H begins to walk down the ramp with a smirk on his face while looking out into the crowd. He gets down to the ringside arena, he walks around to the left side of the ring, he gets up onto the ring apron, looks out into the crowd and gets into the ring for which he grabs the mic from Lillian before shooing he out of the ring. Triple H's theme fades away and the lights return to normal.
Triple H - Last week Christian Cage came out to this ring, talked about his ventures in the 'Impact Zone' and how he became a two time NWA Champion and you all cheered for him as I sat in the back laughing at what he said. Christian Cage thinks that just because he's returning to the WWE that he deserves some sort of royal welcome....which actually....I gave to him two weeks ago when he returned. I mean I am the King of Kings. By the way, I realize that we're here in Montreal, Canada. Wow, it's already been eleven years since your hero was screwed.
Triple H begins to laugh and look out into the crowd as the crowd boos at Triple H for the mention of the Screwjob and indirect mention of Bret Hart.
Triple H - Haha !! Yeah I know. But anyways, Christian Cage, I'm calling you out here right here, right now because I think that we could really just talk this out instead of having a match at the Rumble and embarrassing yourself.
Triple H begins to laugh but then Christian Cage's theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers as Cage walks out onto the stage in jeans and a T-Shirt. Cage does his signature theatrics as he walks down the ramp, he gets down to the ringside area, walks up the ring steps, gets into the ring and stands in front of Triple H as the crowd cheers and his theme fades away.
Triple H - Wow, that's quiet an ovation for ya there. I'm sure you cried with tears of joy as you stepped out onto that stage. So about our match at the Rumble.....
Before Triple H could continue, Cage grabs the mic from Triple H and the crowd cheers.
Christian Cage - Shut the hell up !! And yeah, about our match at the Royal Rumble, I've got an idea. Instead of having just a regular match with regular rules. How about we raise the stakes ? How about the winner gets to the number thirty spot in the Royal Rumble match ?
Cage lowers the mic and looks around the crowd as they cheer and he nods in agreement. Triple H looks interested. Triple H grabs Christian Cage's hand and pulls the mic over towards his mouth.
Triple H - YOU'RE ON !!
Cage smiles as he pulls the mic back towards himself.
Christian Cage - Good.
Cage drops the mic, turns around, Triple H takes off his suit jacket, pulls Cage back around and hits him with a Spinning Spinebuster. Triple H then does his signature taunt before getting out of the ring, kneeling down and pulling out a sledgehammer from under the ring, getting back into the ring, Cage slowly gets back up to his feet and Triple H nails Cage in the head with the sledgehammer before Triple H's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos. Triple H again does his signature taunt with the sledgehammer in his hand as Raw fades into a commercial.

JR - Welcome back everyone and up next we've got tag team action !! It's The Carolina Connection going up against Priceless !!
King - Should be a great match, JR.
JR - Oh I agree, King. Let's get it underway !!
Priceless theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase Jr. walk out onto the stage doing theatrics to taunt the crowd. They begin to walk down the ramp towards the ringside area.
Lillian - This tag team match is scheduled for one fall, first making their way to the ring weighing in at a combined weight of 470 pounds, Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase Jr, Priceless !!
They get down to the ringside area, walk up the ring steps and get into the ring as their theme fades away and the crowd boos.
JR - Both men former tag team champions. And eventually hope to regain those tag titles which are held by Rated RKO right now.
The Carolina Connection theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers as Gregory Helms and Shelton Benjamin walk out onto the stage and begin making their way down the ramp to ringside.
Lillian - And their opponents, weighing in at a combined weight of 463 pounds, Shelton Benjamin and Gregory Helms, The Carolina Connection !!
Lillian gets out of the ring as Shelton/Gregory walk up the ring steps and get into the ring as their theme fades away.
2 - The Carolina Connection vs Priceless
All men in the match are former tag champions and have high ambitions of getting to that level once again. This is a solid action packed match with both teams getting in an equal amount of offense. Final moments saw Ted trying to lock in the Million Dollar Dream but Shelton counters out of it into a back suplex. Ted gets up and Shelton hits Ted with a T-Bone Suplex to get the pinfall victory over the team of Priceless.
Winners - The Carolina Connection at 12:39
The Carolina Connection theme hits the arena as the crowd cheers and they celebrate their victory as a team. Both men motion for gold around their waists as the crowd cheers. Raw fades into a commercial with the referee holding one arm of both men up in the air.

We come back to commercial with the lights off and the spotlight shining on Mr.Kennedy in the middle of the ring. Kennedy has his signature special microphone in his hand which is lowered from the ceiling. Once the crowd's boos turn to silence Kennedy begins to speak.
Mr.Kennedy - Last week I was in a one on one match with The Undertaker and I lost. I'll admit that but I will beat him in the rematch right here right now !! Then when I beat The Undertaker....I will go on to the Royal Rumble this Sunday in Toronto and become the twenty-second winner of the Royal Rumble !!
The crowd boos as Kennedy chomps down on his gum with a smirk on his face.
Mr.Kennedy - Then after I eliminate all twenty-nine other men !! I will go on to the biggest spectacle in the history of this business and become the new World Heavyweight Champion !!!! MISSSSSTTTTTTAAAAAA KENNNNNEEDDAAYYYYYY !!!!!!...............KENNNNNAAAADDAAYYYY !!!!!!
Kennedy lets go of his microphone as it is pulled back up into the ceiling. Kennedy takes off his T-Shirt and throws it outside of the ring. The lights go back to normal as he awaits The Undertaker. The lights go completely out and the crowd roars in unison as Undertaker walks out onto the stage with his signature entrance attire on. Mist fills up the stage area as Undertaker slowly begins to walk down the ramp with his eyes fixed on Mr.Kennedy in the ring as Kennedy paces around the ring like a caged animal just ready to pounce on his pray.
Lillian - And his opponent, making his way to the ring, weighing in at 305 pounds, The Undertaker !!!!
Lillian gets out of the ring as Undertaker slowly walks up the ring steps, stops at the top of the steps, slowly raises his arms up in the air as the lights return to normal. He lowers his arms, walks up onto the ring apron, gets into the ring through the middle rope. Undertaker slowly takes off his ring attire trench coat, leans over the top rope and drops it into the hands of a ring crew member on the outside of the ring. Undertaker turns back around, lowers his head and slowly takes his hat off. He turns back around, leans over the top rope and hands it to a ring crew member on the outside.
3 - The Undertaker vs Mr.Kennedy
Before Undertaker could turn back around, Kennedy runs up behind Undertaker and starts pelting him with brutal forearm clubs to the back. The rest of the match is a solid action packed back and forth match. During the match both men begin to brawl on the outside, Kennedy sends Undertaker knee first into the steel steps. The final moments of the match see Undertaker hit Kennedy with a chokeslam. He picks Kennedy up and goes for the Tombstone but Kennedy gets out of it behind Undertaker. Undertaker turns around and Kennedy hits Undertaker with the Mic Check. Kennedy goes for the cover and gets the three count.
Winner - Mr.Kennedy at 28:57
Kennedy's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as Kennedy celebrates his victory. Raw fades into a commercial with Kennedy standing on the second ropes in a corner and motioning for the world title around his waist and taunting the crowd.

**Backstage - JBL's Locker Room**
JBL is seen standing in front of the TV in the same suit he was wearing earlier. He has the World Heavyweight Championship draped over his shoulder. All the sudden there's a knock on the door, JBL says come in and then there's silence. Edge walks up behind JBL, taps on JBL's shoulder and JBL turns around to face Edge who also has his title draped over his shoulder.
Edge - How ya doin' champ ? Ya know, just thought I'd come in here and let you know what a great honor it will be to face you for that world title this Sunday at the Rumble.
JBL - Oh really ? Well if I have anything to do about it, nobody is facing me for this title at the Rumble.
Edge - Yeah, none of the other three chump stains in the match.
Edge laughs as JBL has an angry look on his face. Edge turns and walks out of the room. JBL looks down at his world title, lets out a sigh and walks out of the room as Raw fades into another commercial.

JR - Welcome back everyone and up next it's the main event !! It's a Fatal Four Way Match to decide who will face JBL for the World Heavyweight Championship at the Royal Rumble. It's CM Punk vs RVD vs Edge vs Randy Orton !! Should be great !!
King - No doubt JR and I'm willing to go out on a limb and say that his is going to be a match of the year candidate !!
JBL's theme suddenly hits the arena and the crowd boos. JBL walks out onto the stage with his World Heavyweight Championship in his hand, his suit and cowboy hat on. JBL walks down the ramp, walks around the ring to the commentator's table. JBL pulls up a chair and sits down. He grabs a headset and puts them on as he lays out the world title on the table in front of him.
JR - The champ joining us at commentary.
King - This is great, JR !! Welcome !!
JBL - Yeah well atleast one of you welcomed me to the table. Where's your welcome barbecue boy ? Huh ? Cough it up fat slob !!
JR - I'm sorry ah welcome..welcome.
JBL - Thank You !!
CM Punk's theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers as CM Punk walks out onto the stage and walks down the ramp.
Lillian - This match is a Fatal Four Way match which the winner will go on to face JBL for the World Heavyweight Championship at the Royal Rumble !! First making his way to the ring, weighing in at 222 pounds, CM Punk !!
CM Punk runs up the ring steps onto the ring apron, climbs up onto the second rope and rests his right foot on the top turnbuckle as he does raises his arms up in the air. He jumps over the top rope into the ring as the crowd cheers and his theme fades away.
JR - CM Punk, the last World Heavyweight Champion would love to get his title back at the rumble.
JBL - Yeah well he can just keep on dreaming because a real champion is now holding the title. CM Punk was noting more than a paper champion who got by on fluke wins !!
RVD's theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers as RVD walks out onto the stage and a small amount of pyro shoots up from the stage. RVD begins to walk down the ramp as the crowd cheers. RVD slides under the bottom rope into the ring as his theme fades away and prepares for the match.
JBL - And Rob Van Dam, well he's never been anything of importance in this business except for his three week WWE Championship reign which was a laughing stock !!
Rated RKO's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as mist fills up the stage area. Edge and Orton walk out onto the stage both wearing the same attire from earlier in the night. Edge has his tag title belt around his waist and Orton has it in his right hand. Orton holds it up in the air as Edge does his signature taunt. Both men begin to walk down the ramp as the crowd boos. Both men get into the ring, get up on the second ropes in two separate corners and hold up their title belts. Their theme fades away as they get down from the corners and hand their titles to the referee.
4 - *Winner faces JBL for the title at the Royal Rumble* CM Punk vs RVD vs Edge vs Randy Orton *JBL on commentary*
This is a solid action packed match with all four men putting it all on the line. Alot of high impact moves executed in this match. During the match CM Punk is put through the spanish announce table after Edge hit him with an Edgecution through the table. The final moments of the match see Edge hit RVD with a spear. Orton hits Edge with an RKO and CM Punk hits Orton with a GTS. Punk goes for the cover, JBL throws down his headset, climbs into the ring and breaks up the count. JBL begins to beat down CM Punk but there are no DQ's in a Fatal Four Way Match. JBL hits CM Punk with a clothesline from hell. Vince walks out onto the stage with a mic in hand as JBL has an angry look on his face once he sees Vince. JBL gets out of the ring, grabs his title belt and gets back into the ring.
Winner - No Contest at 30:45
JBL is mouthing words to Vince before Vince begins to speak.
Vince - Whoa whoa whoa. Hold on a minute there champ. Since you decided to interfere in the match. I have an idea. At the Royal Rumble. You won't be facing just one man but twenty-nine other men for the World Heavyweight Championship !!
The crowd cheers as JBL begins to throw a fit.
Vince - So good luck champ, you're gonna need it. Oh by the way, Edge, you get your wish, you will be facing CM Punk in a Street Fight at the Royal Rumble !!
Vince turns around and walks backstage as JBL turns around and Edge hits JBL with a spear. Edge's theme hits the arena, he grabs the world title and holds it up in the air as Raw fades off the air.
