Re: WWE 2009

Quote:
Glad CC one, Kaz & Williams are betting fitting singles, tbh. Abyss winning is cool, Taker doesn't have much time left so he had to put over the similar chracter imo. I'm imagining old Abyss for you too lol, not the one from today. Gah I would have preferred Lesnae win, he's by far the better guy, but it's cool. Glad Punk won, he's a curreny favorite. Hey, I predicted every match right! lol. Go me =]. Kurt returning was fun. Nice read.
Yeah, the Abyss in this is the old Abyss not the new one.

I skimmed the show because I'm so confused.. one minute theres two brands.. then one.. then two.. Im so confused

Right now there is only Raw but on June 1st edition of Raw there will be a draft edition and June 5th will be the first Smackdown again. I know I brought back Smackdown once before already but this time it's staying for sure. I have big plans for it so it's not going to go away again.

Thank you both for the comments!

Re: WWE 2009

~News Update~
**Possible Spoilers**

WWE has announced that it has signed Japan and ROH star, KENTA to a part-time contract. KENTA will not be in any feuds but will purely wrestle matches, he wishes to not be apart of drama but just simply wrestle with some of the WWE talent such as CM Punk, Kurt Angle, MVP and RVD. No exact word on when he is supposed to make his debut. KENTA will still wrestle in Japan and ROH as well.

Kurt Angle is said to be very happy to be back in the WWE, he said it was great seeing some of his old friends again and being apart of the WWE product once again.

June 5th will be the first edition of Smackdown in the second return of Smackdown this year. As of right now, both the WWE and United States Champions will be crowned on June 5th. Up until then, there will be a tournament for the WWE Championship with the final two facing off on June 5th for the WWE Championship. June 1st edition of Raw is still scheduled to be the draft edition of Raw which will include four matches in which the winners of those special four matches will have the privilege to be inter-promotional wrestlers and will be able to travel between the two brands freely.

The overall feeling backstage is that Judgment Day was a very successful show and WWE is very happy with the way the show turned out.

Monday Night Raw - May 18th 2009

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Monday Night Raw; May 18th 2009; Providence, Rhode Island

We start off tonight's broadcast with a video package of the highlights from last night's Pay-Per-View, Judgment Day! After the highlights we fade into the arena, the camera pans around the arena showing all the fans on their feet. We then stop at the stage where a huge pyro display is set off. We do one more pan around the arena before stopping in front of Jim Ross and Jerry 'The King' Lawler!

Jim Ross: Welcome everyone to the May 18th edition of Monday Night Raw! We're one day removed from Judgment Day and what a show we have planned tonight folks!

The King: Oh that's right, JR and what a Pay-Per-View that was last night, JR.

Jim Ross: I agree with ya there, King. It was one hell of a show!

MVP's theme hits the arena and the crowd gives him a mixed reaction as he walks out onto the stage wearing a suit with a tie and has the World Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships around his waist. He begins walking down the ramp towards the ring as Lillian makes the official introduction.

Lillian: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome, the Intercontinental and World Heavyweight Champion, Montel Vontavious Porter, M-V-P!

MVP gets down to the ringside area, he walks up the ring steps up onto the apron and gets into the ring. Lillian hands the mic off to him as she gets out of the ring. MVP's theme fades away as half the crowd cheers and the other half boos.

MVP: Last night I defeated Triple H in the match of his choice, a No Holds Barred match, to retain MY World Heavyweight Championship and now tonight, I'm here to address the new number one contender for the World Heavyweight Championship, one CM Punk!

The crowd cheers at the mentioning of CM Punk.

MVP: CM Punk is a former world champion and at Vengeance, he's going to try and become a two time world champion just exactly a year after winning the world title for the first time. CM Punk, you may be a great wrestler and you may be the number one contender, but there's no way in hell you're taking my title from me. No one is ever going to take neither one of these championships from me. I'm the man who had the longest reign as United States Champion in WWE history and I plan on making that same record with both of these championships! Triple H couldn't take the title from me last night and CM Punk, you sure as hell aren't going to either!

~Crowd boos

John Cena's theme suddenly hits the arena and the crowd boos even more. MVP looks surprised as Cena lost the Number One Contenders match last night and MVP made no mention of Cena whatsoever. Cena walks out onto the stage with a mic in hand, he walks down the ramp and slides underneath the bottom rope into the ring. He stands up right in front of MVP and faces off with him as his theme fades away.

John Cena: Ya know MVP, I was just sitting in the back listening to you talk about how no one is going to take either of those championship belts away from you and it got me thinking, I lost the Number One Contenders match last night for the World Heavyweight Championship but I sure as hell didn't lose a match for the number one contender-ship of the Intercontinental Championship! Yeah, you know what I'm talking about. MVP, tonight, I want you to put your Intercontinental Championship on the line! I promised myself that I was going to get some sort of championship gold soon and dammit tonight I'm going to fulfill that promise tonight and become the Intercontinental Champion!

~Crowd boos

MVP: Now wait a minute, who do you think you are to come out here and start demanding title shots from me, the Intercontinental and World Champion? Huh? You can't just come out here and basically name yourself the number one contender for either one of my championships! If you want a match for my Intercontinental title, you need to prove yourself to me that you deserve to step into the ring with me for my title. If you want a shot you're going to have to win some sort of match to prove to me that you deserve a shot. Deal?

John Cena: Yeah sure, whatever you want. How bout this, I face the number one contender for your world title, CM Punk in a one on one match tonight to take my anger out on him for making me directly lose the match last night and if I beat him, next week you put your Intercontinental Championship on the line against me?

CM Punk's theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers as Punk makes his way out onto the stage with his wrestling gear on with a CM Punk T-Shirt on. Punk makes his way down the ramp, walks up the ring steps onto the apron and gets into the ring. He walks up to Cena and grabs the mic from him as his theme fades away and the crowd cheers for him.

CM Punk: Ya know John, I did exactly what I said I was going to do last night. I said I was going to pin you or make you submit and become the number one contender. But guess what, you didn't do what you said you were going to do and because of that now you're going to come out here and whine bout losing the match and wanting some sort of championship gold. John, I accept your challenge for a match later tonight, but let me assure you, you're not going to beat me and you're not going to get an Intercontinental Championship shot.

~Crowd cheers

Punk then turns to MVP.

CM Punk: MVP, I've got some news for you champ! I am going to take that world title from you next month at Vengeance whether you like it or not. I just thought of something by the way. How bout we change up the match tonight. How about, if I beat John Cena tonight, at Vengeance, you put BOTH your titles on the line against me in a Winner Take All Match! That way I can take both titles from you like you say no one will!

~Crowd cheers

MVP: Alright, yeah, that sounds perfectly fine to me. Infact, if you want, I'll even let you pick the match type!

CM Punk: I don't want to pick a match type, I'm not going to give you an easy way to hold onto your belts. I'm not going to make a dumb mistake like Triple H did, making it No Holds Barred match so you can use weapons to retain your title instead of your pure skill. Infact, actually , I'll make a stipulation, a Two Out Of Three Falls Match! A good old fashion pure wrestling match!

~Crowd cheers

MVP looks out into the crowd, thinks for a moment and then puts the mic back up to his mouth.

MVP: Alright, you're on! Vengeance, you and me, Two Out Of Three Falls Match!

MVP and CM Punk walk closer to eachother to go face to face. Triple H's theme suddenly hits the arena and the crowd boos as Triple H makes his way out onto the stage. Punk, MVP and Cena look towards the ramp but no one is there. All three men then look at eachother in a puzzled way. Suddenly Triple H slides under the bottom rope in street clothes with a sledgehammer in hand. All three men turn around, Triple H runs forward and hits MVP with the sledgehammer taking him down to the mat. Triple H looks at Punk and then at Cena. Triple H then hits Punk with the sledgehammer and then nails Cena with it as the crowd boos. Triple H does his pose in the ring with the sledgehammer. He drops the hammer, bends down and pulls both titles belts off of MVP's waist. Triple H holds them both up into the air. Triple H grabs a mic that one of the three men dropped on the ground and puts it up to his mouth.

Triple H: MVP, you must have forgotten about me, I told you I was coming to get my title back, I failed last night but I won't fail later on tonight! Because tonight you're putting the world title on the line against me!

Triple H laughs as Vince McMahon's theme hits the arena and the crowd gives a mixed reaction. Vince walks out onto the stage with a mic in hand and his theme quickly fades away.

Vince McMahon: Just who the hell do you think you are?!

~Crowd gives mixed reaction

Vince McMahon: Coming out here, attacking MVP, CM Punk and John Cena then saying that MVP WILL defend his world title against you tonight. Triple H, far as I'm concerned, you don't deserve another title shot. Triple H, I'm going to take actions against this outbreak tonight. Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the NEW General Manager of Monday Night Raw...John Bradshaw Layfield!

JBL's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos. JBL walks out onto the stage, suit and tie with cowboy hat on as well as mic in hand. His theme quickly fades away.

JBL: Triple H, as the new General Manager of Raw, my first action is to hereby, suspend you from the WWE for an entire month!

~Crowd gives a mixed reaction

Triple H drops the mic and begins to throw a fit. He drops the title belts, gets out of the ring and runs up the ramp towards JBL and Vince. JBL ducks out of the way from Triple H, Triple H turns around and JBL hits him with a clothesline from hell which sends Triple H down to the ground. JBL and Vince stand around Triple H laughing as Raw fades into a commercial.

**Commercial Break**

Jim Ross: Welcome back everyone and moments ago it was confirmed, tonight CM Punk will take on John Cena in one on one action and here are the stipulations. If John Cena wins, he faces MVP for the Intercontinental Championship next week here on Monday Night Raw but if CM Punk wins, MVP will put both his Intercontinental and World Heavyweight Championships on the line at Vengeance against CM Punk. CM Punk already has a guaranteed World Heavyweight Championship match at Vengeance but he could also get a guaranteed shot at the Intercontinental Championship, in the same match! That's going to be tonight's main event match!

King: Can't wait for that one, JR!

Jim Ross: Neither can I but up next we're going to kick off the matches tonight with the opening match!

*Entrances and Introductions*

James Gibson vs. Kofi Kingston

The final moments of the match see Kofi hitting Gibson with a springboard crossbody into a cover but Gibson kicks out. Kofi pulls Gibson up and hits him with a Russian Legsweep into another cover but again Gibson kicks out. Kofi pulls Gibson up to his feet, Kofi bounces off the ropes to go for the Trouble In Paradise but Gibson side steps out of the way and Kofi falls down the ground after going for the kick but no one was there to take it. The referee raises Gibson's arm up into the air signifying victory. James Gibson has won another match and possibly inches closer to getting a title around his waist. Possibly the United States Championship when it returns....

**Commercial Break**

Jim Ross: Ladies and Gentlemen, big news from the new General Manager of Raw, JBL's office, next week here on Raw there will be a Steel Cage match for the World Tag Team Championships! It will be The Carolina Connection defending their tag titles against the team of Kaz and Petey Williams! Apparently Kaz and Petey Williams asked for just one more match for the tag titles and JBL granted them their wish!

King: Oh wow, JBL is already making an impact here on Monday Night Raw, a good impact at that!

Jim Ross: I agree with you, King. I may not like the man for who he is or what he represents but he sure makes one hell of a General Manager! I'm getting word that tonight in a Judgment Day rematch, Brock Lesnar will go one on one with Batista!

*Entrances and Introductions*

Match #2 - Singles Match
Matt Hardy vs. Gregory Helms

Ending: A good technical wrestling match with a few high impact moves, at one point in the match we see Matt hit Helms with a Side Effect off the apron and then Matt doing a moonsault off the apron right onto Helms down on the ground. Final moments of the match we see Helms hit Matt with a Shining Wizard but Matt barely kicks out and Helms can't believe it. Matt has only used this on rare occasions and tonight just happens to be one of those times. Helms slowly falls down to his knees and eventually the referee calls for the bell as he could get no response whatsoever out of Helms. Matt's theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers as Matt breaks the hold and stands up.

Winner - Matt Hardy via submission @ 12:02

Lillian: Here is your winner by submission, Matt Hardy!

After the match, Shelton Benjamin walks out onto the stage with his world tag team championship belt draped over his shoulder. He walks down the ramp, gets into the ring, walks up to Matt and shakes his hand. Helms slowly gets back up to his feet and shakes Matt's hand as well. Matt calls for a mic and Lillian walks over to the ring and hands him one. Matt's theme fades away as the crowd doesn't know how to react.

Matt: Tonight, right here right now, you're seeing a beginning of a new era in the career of Matt Hardy! You're seeing The Carolina Connection becoming even more powerful here tonight, you are witnessing the creation of the most powerful stable in wrestling with the leading being me!

~Crowd boos

Matt: I suggest that Kaz and Petey Williams revoke their wish to get another shot at the World Tag Team Championships next week here on Raw because you're only asking to get beat again for the third time in a row! Not a wise choice if you ask me!

~Crowd boos

Matt: I've never been much in my career here in the WWE, my brother Jeff...

~Crowd cheers

Matt: ...My brother Jeff was always in the spotlight and I was just living in his shadow hoping to get a chance in the spotlight, well guess what...Jeff's gone now and has been gone for quite awhile now so it's my time to shine in the spotlight and with these guys by my side, I'm going to get all the way to the top, believe me!

Matt drops the mic and Matt's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos.

**Commercial Break**

*Entrances and Introductions*

Match #3 - Singles Match

Abyss vs. Rob Van Dam

Ending: RVD is wearing down Abyss with multiple kicks to the legs and multiple right hands. Abyss fires back with a hard right of his own, grabs RVD, irish whips him into the corner, Abyss runs at him but RVD jumps up onto the second ropes, jumps down to the mat, goes for a roll up on Abyss but Abyss kicks out at two. RVD gets up to his feet as does Abyss. RVD hits him with a roundhouse kick which sends Abyss into the corner. RVD runs at Abyss in the corner and goes for a monkey flip out of the corner but Abyss doesn't budge, Abyss grabs RVD, puts him up into a Torture Rack position, walks out of the corner and hits RVD with the shock treatment. Abyss goes for the cover but RVD amazingly kicks out. Abyss gets up to his feet, pulls RVD up, irish whips him into the ropes, RVD bounces off and Abyss hits RVD with a Blackhole Slam into the cover to earn the three count. Abyss's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as Abyss gets up to his feet and James Mitchell gets into the ring to celebrate the victory with Abyss.

Winner - Abyss via pinfall @ 10:10

Lillian: Here is your winner by pinfall, Abyss!

James Mitchell raises the arm of Abyss up into the air as the crowd boos. Abyss and Mitchell get out of the ring and head up the ramp towards the back.

Instead of going for the cover, Lesnar rolls Batista back over onto his stomach and locks in the Brock Lock. The referee gets down in Batista's face asking him if he wishes to give up. Batista denies. Eventually Batista gets to the bottom rope and the referee begins the five count for Lesnar to break the hold. We come back to commercial and Kurt Angle's theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers as Angle makes his way out onto the stage in his wrestling gear. He begins making his way down the ramp towards the ring.

Lillian: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome back, Kurt Angle!

Angle gets down to the ringside area, walks up the ring steps onto the apron and gets into the ring. He walks over to Lillian and she hands over the mic to Angle as his theme fades away. Lillian gets out of the ring to take her seat at ringside.

Kurt Angle: Last night I returned here to the WWE and boy it felt could to step into this ring again! It feels good tonight too! What didn't feel good was losing to Batista, by disqualification mind you, thanks to Brock Lesnar. I understand that Lesnar was angry from earlier in the night so I'm not mad at him for costing me the match. Tonight I'm here to make another challenge to anyone who wants to face me at Vengeance. I mean, it wouldn't be much of a return of I wasn't even on the next Pay-Per-View!

~Crowd cheers

Kurt Angle: Next week, I'm gonna be back and I'm going to be expecting my challenge to be answered!

Crowd cheers as Angle's theme hits the arena once again and he drops the mic. Suddenly Edge slides under the bottom rope on the backside of the ring, Angle turns around and Edge nails him with a spear. Edge: CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!

Edge's theme hits the arena as Raw fades into a commercial and the fans boo.

Monday Night Raw; May 25th 2009; Norfolk, Virginia

We start off tonight's broadcast with a video package of the highlights from last Sunday's, Judgment Day! After the highlights we fade into the arena, the camera pans around the arena showing all the fans on their feet. We then stop at the stage where a huge pyro display is set off. Jim Ross: Welcome everyone to a special three hour edition of Monday Night Raw! Tonight we're kicking off the Gold Rush Tournament to crown the first WWE Champion on the June 5th returning edition of Friday Night Smackdown! Now remember folks, when we say first WWE Champion, we're only talking about the first champion since the title is being brought out of retirement! How it's going to work is there will be eight matches tonight apart of the Gold Rush Tournament, then next week on the special Draft Edition there will be two Fatal Four Way Elimination Matches with the two winners of that facing off for the WWE Championship on the June 5th edition of Friday Night Smackdown!

King: Sounds exciting, JR! I can't wait to get this started!

*Entrances and Introductions*

Match #1 - Gold Rush Tournament - Round One

Ending: For this entire match, both men have showcased tremendous technical skills and this is just a pure wrestling match with a couple suplexes thrown by Regal but mostly technical wrestling at it's finest between these two masters of the ring. Final moments of the match saw Regal lock in the Regal Stretch on Finlay but Finlay somehow makes it to the ropes, Regal then grabs Finlay and hits him with the Regal-Plex into the cover and Regal gets the three count to advance in the Gold Rush Tournament! A very back and forth match with several high spots including Kendrick hitting London with Sliced Bread #2 off the ring apron. Back in the ring more technical ability is showcased, lots of back and forth moves being dished out on one another. Final moments of the match see London hit Kendrick with the Chickenwing Facebuster into a cover but Kendrick kicks out. London goes up top for the 450 splash, jumps off but Kendrick moves out of the way and London hits the mat with a thud. Kendrick quickly gets up to his feet, pulls London up, puts him in position for the Sliced Bread #2, runs into the corner, does the flip and hits the move right into a cover which he earns the three count. Because you see Punk, you may have won the Triple Threat Number One Contenders Match at Judgment Day, but that still isn't enough for me. So will CM Punk's opponent please come out here right now.

JBL: CM Punk, tonight, you're going to realize why I was the longest reigning WWE Champion in Smackdown history! Last year, you were a paper fluke champion and got by on cheap wins and cheap pops! I got by on hard wins and the will to be better than everyone else that stepped into the ring with me! You barely got by, son, I got by with alot to spare! While I was living the high life as WWE Champion, YOU were wrestling in warehouses across the country with a company that doesn't mean anything in the world of professional wrestling!

If I didn't need the money, I would still be wrestling in warehouses across the company because I loved that damn company, I loved wrestling in front of those fans and I loved my peers! There was no politicking like there is here in the WWE. JBL, as Paul Heyman said back in 2006, you were only champion because Triple H didn't want to work Tuesday nights!

~Crowd cheers

CM Punk: What you got to say to that?! Huh?! EXACTLY! You don't have anything to say because you know I'm right!

JBL looks over at MVP and then both begin beating down CM Punk. They back Punk up into the corner and JBL begins hitting him with multiple right hands and knees to the gut. JBL grabs the left hand of Punk, pulls him out of the corner and hits him with a short range lariat which sends him down to the mat. JBL walks over and picks up the mic from the mat. MVP takes his title belts off from around his waist and sets them over in the corner.

**Commercial Break**

Jim Ross: Welcome back everyone and moments ago a horrific beat down on CM Punk occurred when MVP called out CM Punk's mystery opponent for tonight and then it escalated into an all out assault on CM Punk with the General Manager and the World Champion MVP beating the life out of CM Punk.

King: Wow, JR. MVP and CM Punk's match at Vengeance for the World Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships is going to be very heated!

Jim Ross: You're telling me! Alright ladies and gentlemen it's time for the Steel Cage match for the World Tag Team Championships! I can't wait for this match, King!

Both teams put up an amazing fight for the tag team championship but obviously only one team can come out the victors with the championship belts. Petey Williams was busted open fairly early on in the match. Lots of double team work and lots of high impact moves. At one point Kaz hit Helms with the Flux Capacitor from the top rope into the cover but Helms managed to kick out. Both teams gave it their all tonight in this match. Final moments of the match saw Matt Hardy run down the ramp with a pair of wire cutters, he started cutting away at the side of the cage as Kaz and Petey Williams dominated Shelton and Gregory. Now each team just needs either Gregory or Petey to get out of the ring to win the match. Petey is in the process of crawling out but Matt quickly recovers and grabs the leg of Petey. Matt quickly gets up, pulls Petey up and hits him with a Twist Of Fate. Gregory crawls out of the cage and touches the floor. Re: WWE 2009

~News Report~
**Possible Spoilers**

WWE plans on giving William Regal a run as WWE Champion sometime this year, however, we just don't know when. He is one of the participants in one of the two Fatal Four Way Matches scheduled for the June 1st edition of Raw so it's possible that we're talking very soon.

MVP is doing very well as champion, WWE officials feel. Don't expect him to drop the world title anytime soon although there have been rumbles of a title change at SummerSlam with one of the most unexpected people winning the belt.

Next year, Shawn Michaels is planning to retire and Wrestlemania 26 will be his last match. Expect something special to be planned and possibly even expect him to get one more run as a champion.

WWE plans on doing an overseas tour very soon sometime after Vengeance. The WWE plans on having a couple TV tapings over in England as well as possibly Germany.

Currently scheduled for SummerSlam are two elimination chamber matches, one for the World Heavyweight Championship and one for the WWE Championship. Expect these matches to have great participants and to be great matches. WWE already has booked the matches and has some great people in the match.

Expect Undertaker to start to wind down his career early next year although he doesn't plan on retiring until Survivor Series next year, he wants to do something special for his last year in the WWE.

**Out Of Character**

June 1st edition of Monday Night Raw will be posted sometime this week. I've been pretty busy this past week so haven't had time to do any work on it.

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Monday Night Raw; June 1st 2009; Miami, Florida

We start off tonight's show with a recap of what happened last week on Monday Night Raw as well as Judgment Day. After this is over, we pan into the arena and pan around the crowd with the rabid fans on their feet. A huge pyro display is set off from the main stage, we do one more pan and stop in front of Jim Ross and Jerry 'The King' Lawler at the announce table.

Jim Ross: Welcome everyone to the June 1st edition of Monday Night Raw! Tonight we will have Round Two of the Gold Rush Tournament to crown the new WWE Champion this Friday night on the return edition of Smackdown! Tonight we're going to see two Fatal Four Way Elimination matches which include the eight men that won their Round One matches last week.

The King: I can't wait for those two matches, JR! I hope they're as good as the Round One matches that took place last week! Those were fantastic!

Jim Ross: Oh I agree, King! Also tonight ladies and gentlemen, we have the contract singing between the World Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion, MVP and his challenger at Vengeance, CM Punk! I can't wait for this match at Vengeance. A classic Two Out Of Three Falls match for both the World Heavyweight and Intercontinental Championships, winner take all!

The King: That is surely going to be one of the best matches to ever be at a Vengeance Pay-Per-View!

Jim Ross: I agree, King! Let's get tonight's show started with the returning Jack Swagger!

*Entrances and Introductions*

Match #1 - Singles Match
Jack Swagger vs. Finlay

Ending: This is Jack Swagger's first match back here in the WWE and Finlay's second match back. Finlay lost a Round One Gold Rush Tournament match to William Regal last week and he hopes to pick up a victory tonight against the young Jack Swagger. A very back and forth match with lots of technical skill showcased by both men. Also a very stiff match with both men throwing hard right hands and lariats. Final moments of the match see Finlay put Swagger in position for the Celtic Cross but Swagger some how slides out of it, rolls up Finlay for the cover but Finlay kicks out at two. Swagger quickly gets back up to his feet, Finlay gets up, Swagger kicks Finlay in the gut, grabs him with a Gutwrench and hits him with the Gutwrench Powerbomb into the cover to pick up his first victory back here in the WWE. Swagger's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as Swagger gets up to have his arm raised by the referee.

Winner - Jack Swagger via pinfall @ 10:44

Lillian: Here is your winner by pinfall, Jack Swagger!

~Crowd boos

Jim Ross: Jack Swagger picking up his first victory here tonight in his WWE return! Remember ladies and gentlemen, tonight after Raw, on WWE.com the draft results will be posted! All throughout tonight's broadcast, backstage superstars will pick a piece of paper from a spinner. There are three different pieces of paper. One will say Raw, the other Smackdown and the third one will say Inter-Promotional which means the four superstars who pick the Inter-Promotional paper will be able to move between both brands freely!

King: I hope Jack Swagger picks Inter-Promotional! I'd love to see him face men from both brands! What an athlete this kid is!

**Commercial Break**

Jim Ross: Welcome back everyone and up next we've got the first of two Fatal Four Way Elimination Matches in the Gold Rush Tournament! The winner of the two Fatal Four Ways tonight will go on to face eachother this Friday Night on Smackdown for the WWE Championship!

The King: I can't wait to see the Fatal Four Ways. I have high hopes for both matches!

*Entrances and Introductions*

Match #2 - Fatal Four Way Elimination - Gold Rush Tournament
William Regal vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Matt Hardy vs. Brian Kendrick

Ending: The final two left are Rob Van Dam and William Regal. These two showcase some good technical wrestling against eachother, some stiff kicks by RVD and stiff forearm shots from Regal. Regal throws a couple signature suplexes on RVD and makes several pinfall attempts on RVD but RVD kicks out. Regal is getting frustrated no doubt. Final moments of the match see RVD hit Regal with a roundhouse kick that sends Regal down to the mat, RVD goes up to the top turnbuckle, jumps off and connects with the Five Star Frog Splash. RVD crawls over Regal for the cover but Regal reaches out and grabs onto the bottom rope. The referee informs RVD and RVD looks angry. RVD pulls Regal up, Regal pushes RVD away and connects with a hard right hand. Regal quickly covers from the Frog Splash, grabs RVD and hits him with a Regal-Plex into the cover and earns the three count. Regal's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as Regal slowly gets up to his feet.

~Order Of Elimination~
Brian Kendrick @ 15:03
Matt Hardy @ 20:45
Rob Van Dam @ 27:12

Winner - William Regal via pinfall @ 27:12

Lillian: Here is your winner and advancing to the final round of the Gold Rush Tournament, William Regal!

Regal motions for the belt around his waist as the crowd boos at him. Raw fades into a commercial with Regal celebrating his hard fought victory.

**Commercial Break**

Jim Ross: Welcome back everyone and wow, what a great Fatal Four Way that was!

The King: I agree with ya there, JR.

Jim Ross: I'm very much so looking forward to the second one later on tonight!

The King: Oh no doubt, JR!

Rated RKO's theme hits the arena, the crowd boos as Edge and Randy Orton make their way out onto the stage in street clothes. Both men stop at the top of the ramp, do their theatrics and pyro shoots up from the stage. Both men then begin walking down the ramp towards the ring. They get down to the ringside area and slide under the bottom rope then pop back up onto their feet. Edge grabs the mic from Lillian and Lillian gets out of the ring quickly. Rated RKO's theme fades away as the crowd boos at them.

Edge: In twenty days at Vengeance...Randy and I will embark on a journey to finally lay Stone Cold Steve Austin's career to rest!

~Crowd boos

Edge: Ya see, Stone Cold wrestled his quote "last man" at Wrestlemania 19 in 2003 but then suddenly this year, he decides to come back just in time for Wrestlemania 25! He comes back here like he owns the place, he thinks he's going to get the spot back that he once had...sorry Steve, that's not happening! We know Steve, we know that you have a hope to become world champion just one more time here in the WWE but Steve, you're not going to get that far because at Vengeance. Your career is going to be over!

~Crowd boos

Edge: Sure, this isn't a "Retirement" match per say but mark my words, when you get pinned in that ring...one...two...three, you're going to be sad, take your ball and go home just like you did back in 2002. You threw a temper tantrum and left! That's exactly what's going to happen this time except this time...you're not coming back!

~Crowd boos

Edge: Kurt Angle, you do the same thing! You come back here after an almost three year absence and then just act like it's as if you never left! You and your buddy, old Stone Cold, are going to get what's coming to you at Vengeance and lay both your careers to rest. Let's face it, both of you are out of your prime and aren't worth a damn anymore!

~Crowd boos

Edge: See, Randy Orton and I, we're not washed up still trying to live off of stuff that happened almost ten years ago! We are the future and we will remain the future for many years to come! We are multi-time world champions and we will continue to get world titles! While Stone Cold and Kurt Angle still hope to be world champions again. Stone Cold, at Vengeance...you're finished! You take one more major hit to your neck and you're done for and let us assure you, that major hit to your neck, will come at Vengeance!

Edge drops the mic and Rated RKO's theme hits the arena. The crowd boos as Raw fades into a commercial with Edge and Orton taunting the crowd.

**Commercial Break**

Jim Ross: Welcome back folks and up next we're going to have our third match of the evening!

The King:
Hope it's a good one!

*Entrances and Introductions*

Match #3 - Singles Match
James Gibson vs. Shelton Benjamin

Ending:
Both men showcase their skills to the fullest in this match. A good mixture of technical wrestling, suplexes and other high impact moves. At one point during the match we saw Shelton hit Gibson with a T-Bone suplex off the apron down to the ground on the outside of the ring. Final moments of the match see Shelton and James engage in a trade of right hands. We then see Shelton bounce off the ropes but Gibson kicks Shelton in the gut, butterflies his arms but Shelton quickly gets out of the predicament, pushes Gibson away, Gibson walks back forward and Shelton connects with a clothesline on James. Shelton goes for the cover but James kicks out. Shelton pulls James up, they trade right hands, Gibson then quickly grabs Shelton, butterflies the arms and hits him with the Gibson driver right into the pinfall to pick up the victory. Gibson's theme hits the arena as the crowd gives a mild pop. The referee raises Gibson's arm in victory.

Winner - James Gibson via pinfall @ 13:25

Lillian: Here is your winner by pinfall, James Gibson!

Gibson celebrates his victory in the middle of the ring as Shelton grabs his world tag team title belt and begins to walk up the ramp towards the back. Raw fades into another commercial as Gibson continues to celebrate his victory.

**Commercial Break**

Jim Ross: Welcome back everyone and up next we have the second Fatal Four Way Elimination match here tonight to determine who will go on to face William Regal this Friday on Smackdown for the vacant WWE Championship!

The King:
I have high hopes for this one, JR.

*Entrances and Introductions*

Match #4 - Fatal Four Way Elimination - Gold Rush Tournament
The Undertaker vs. Christian Cage vs. John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar

Ending: The final two men left in this match are Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker. The crowd behind both men and these two just give it their all to make it to Smackdown this Friday. Both men engaged in a back and forth brawl. Lots of power moves used by both men, especially Lesnar. At one point we see Undertaker standing on the second ropes in the corner getting ready to jump off with a diving clothesline but Lesnar quickly runs up, grabs Undertaker and hits him with an Overhead Release Belly to Belly suplex off the second ropes. Lesnar goes for the cover but Undertaker kicks out and the crowd roars in cheers. Then suddenly Batista runs down the ramp towards the ring, he slides under the bottom rope, pops up and begins brawling with Lesnar. Remember, there are no disqualifications or count outs in this match! Lesnar and Batista trade stiff right hands. Batista kicks Lesnar in the gut, hoists him up and connects with the Batista Bomb. Batista then walks over to Undertaker who is pulling himself up with help from the ropes, Undertaker turns around, Batista kicks him in the gut, hoists him up and connects with a Batista Bomb on Undertaker. Batista then gets out of the ring and runs up the ramp as the crowd boos. The referee begins the ten count as both men are down. We get to the count of six as Lesnar begins to stir, as does Undertaker. Both men barely make it up to their feet at the count of nine. Undertaker connects with a right hand, Lesnar fires back with a right hand of his own, Undertaker goes for another right but Lesnar side steps, hoists Undertaker up onto his shoulders and nails the F5. Lesnar goes for the cover but Undertaker kicks out and the crowd lets out a collective gasp as Lesnar can't believe it. Lesnar gets up to his feet, pulls Undertaker up but Undertaker connects with a right hand to Lesnar's skull. Lesnar stumbles back a bit, he stumbles forward, Undertaker grabs him by the throat, hoists him up and slams him down with the Chokeslam. Undertaker drops down to his knees, goes for a cover but Lesnar kicks out. Undertaker slowly gets back up to his feet, Undertaker a bit shaky as he grabs at his knee, possibly having some problems with it. Lesnar slowly gets up to his feet, Lesnar stumbles towards Undertaker, Undertaker grabs him, turns him around into the Tombstone position, walks to the center of the ring and connects with the Tombstone. Undertaker instead of going for the cover right away, rolls away slightly and grabs at his knee again. After a few moments, Undertaker rolls back over, does his signature pinfall theatrics and gets the three count. The crowd explodes into a chorus of cheers as the bell tolls and Undertaker's theme hits the arena.

~Order Of Elimination~
John Cena @ 14:42
Christian Cage @ 26:19
Brock Lesnar @ 31:00

Winner - The Undertaker via pinfall @ 31:00

Lillian: Here is your winner and advancing to the final round of the Gold Rush Tournament, The Undertaker!

The Undertaker gets up to his feet as Lesnar rolls out of the ring. The lights turn to a shade of purple around the ring, Undertaker gets down on one knee as a spotlight shines down on him. Undertaker does his theatrics before getting up and motioning for the belt around his waist. Raw fades into a commercial with Undertaker beginning to get out of the ring.

**Commercial Break**

Jim Ross: Welcome back everyone and moments ago, The Undertaker won the second Fatal Four Way Elimination Match to claim the right to face William Regal this Friday on Smackdown for the vacant WWE Championship!

The King: What a great match it was, JR!

Jim Ross: I agree with ya there! Well up next folks, it's time for the contract singing between the World Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion, MVP and his challenger for both championships at Vengeance, CM Punk!

The ring has a table set up in the middle with a leather chair on each side of the table. The Raw General Manager, JBL is already standing in the ring at one end of the table. CM Punk's theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers as Punk makes his way out onto the stage with a suit and tie on. He walks down the ramp towards the ringside area, he walks up the ring steps onto the apron and gets into the ring. He steps right up to JBL and exchanges some words with him. JBL points to one of the chairs and CM Punk takes a seat as his theme fades away.

Jim Ross: CM Punk and the Raw General Manager, JBL, exchanging some words there, no doubt trash talking.

MVP's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as MVP makes his way out onto the stage in a suit and tie. He has the World Heavyweight Championship in one hand and the Intercontinental Championship in the other hand. He walks down the ramp to the ringside area, he walks up the ring steps onto the apron and gets into the ring. He takes a seat on the other side of the table then he lays both title belts out on the table. His theme fades away as the crowd boos. JBL has a mic in hand ready to start the contract singing.

JBL: Gentlemen, here is the contract and if you would please sign your name on the dotted line to make the match at Vengeance...official...

JBL sets down the clipboard in front of CM Punk with a pen. Punk grabs the pen and clipboard, sifts through the papers until he gets to the final page, he signs his name then slides the clipboard over to MVP then hands MVP the pen. MVP sifts through the papers until he gets to the final page and signs his name as well. MVP then slides the clipboard over to JBL at the end of the table. JBL picks it up, looks at it and puts the mic up to his mouth.

JBL: Well, it's official.

CM Punk quickly gets up and grabs the mic from JBL and JBL looks shocked as he looks over at MVP then back at Punk.

CM Punk: Your damn right it's official, it's official that at Vengeance, MVP...I'm taking both your title belts and then they're going to be around the waist of someone who truly deserves them, unlike yourself. Because ya see MVP, if you really think about it, you didn't really work that hard to get either of those title belts. You had your buddy Matt Hardy help you win the Intercontinental Championship as well as the money in the bank briefcase then you cashed that in to get the World Heavyweight Championship. So technically, you really didn't do any work. See, back at Ring Of Honor, people actually worked for title shots and worked to become champion. And when I beat you at Vengeance...I'm bringing honor to those two titles and I'm bringing hard work back to this company like it used to be!

~Crowd cheers

CM Punk: You've worked to remain champion yes...but that's the easy part. Because as champion, you can simply get yourself counted out or disqualified to hang on to your title but when I'm champion, that doesnt' happen! I work and hold the title with honor!

~Crowd cheers

MVP stands up and grabs the mic from CM Punk. MVP grabs his world title in the other hand.

MVP: You're wrong! I have worked for these two belts, did you see that match at Wrestlemania? I worked so hard in that match that only me deserved to walk out the champion and Mr.Money In The Bank!

~Crowd boos

MVP: So you're gonna bring honor to these titles when you win at Vengeance huh? There will be honor alright when I beat you in a match that you feel so confident of winning.

MVP lays the mic down on the table and walks around the other side of the table as he grabs the Intercontinental Championship. He walks up to CM Punk and holds up both title belts in the air. Punk reaches up and pulls the world title away from MVP, he looks at it and holds it up into the air himself and the crowd cheers. He lowers the belt and hands it back to MVP. Punk turns away to get out of the ring but quickly turns around, hoists MVP up onto his shoulders goes for the GTS but MVP quickly elbows Punk in the side of the head and slides out of the ring without his belts as he dropped them. Punk and MVP face off as MVP backs up the ramp. Punk is now holding both title belts as Raw fades off the air.

**Off Air**

Re: WWE 2009

Okay I've read a loooot today, lol. This is very good man, and I have very few bones to pick with it overall. You have some nice feuds and stoylines going on and I'm interested enough to keep on reading from here on out. Here's some thoughts.

1) I've been feeling like RAW has needed a bit of a shake-up, and with the draft coming up, I think it's going to be just the thing it needs. I'm liking the look of both rosters, but I'm looking forward to Smackdown a bit more just so we can see who will become the established stars when the first show gets put up.

2) Few angles I'm liking right now:

--Angle's return to WWE and how guys like Edge and Orton, who replaced him in the main event scene when he left, are saying he doesn't deserve all this hype he's getting & whatnot. Not so sure I like Stone Cold (or the Rock either) wrestling quite a bit, but I guess that's nit-picking a little. I think I would have rather had Kurt try to take Edge and Orton on one on one with maybe Austin helping out at some point. We'll see though, this could be pretty good. I loved Angle near the end of his run, because while he was breaking down personally & physically, he actually did seem like the greatest wrestler in the world at that point, and since you're booking him similarly it's nice.

--Surprisingly I like Batista vs Lesnar. The way you've booked it so far is making me want Lesnar to murder Batista, so that's good.

--Not so sure if I like James Gibson getting a lot of wins. Maybe if they advanced onto some storyline or feud, or even a push up the card, I could understand but right now he's just dwelling there on the lower card despite quite a few wins.

--The MVP/Punk feud, as it's replacing RAW's main event scene with some fresh faces. Some of Punk's comments directed at JBL seemed a little unrealistic, but I think with what JBL did to Punk and then Triple H earlier that night, you're making him into an even bigger ass hole then he comes off as on TV, so nice job.

3) Really hope that Regal can get that World Title reign as mentioned in one of the reports.

4) I think you should hype matches that have stipulations more, as in particular, the cage match on RAW involving the Carolina Connection seemed to come from out of nowhere.

5) All in all though, nice job man. It's amazing that you've been able to keep this going for so long. I've seen that you've mentioned that sometimes you've dealt with Writer's Block, or that the shows have been too long/too short, etc.---I'd say just stick with what you're comfortable with. No need to live up to anyone else's expectations or push yourself too far... After all, this is supposed to be for fun. Keep up the good work and I'll be reading and giving you some feedback from here on out.

Thanks for your feedback. Really interesting read and I'm glad you put it into such detail. Smackdown will be up tomorrow or so, I've got one more match to write then I'm done. Yeah I plan for The Rock to stop wrestling soon. Stone Cold however will be wrestling through the end of this year and I've got big plans for him in the upcoming couple of months. I think with having both Raw and Smackdown, it will be better for me writing wise. Thanks again man, appreciate it.

Friday Night Smackdown; June 5th 2009; Fort Lauderdale, Florida

A video package airs which shows the highlights of the June 1st edition of Monday Night Raw. After the video package, we fade into the arena as the rabid crowd is on their feet ready for the return of Friday Night Smackdown! The camera pans around the arena as the crowd is cheering. The camera focuses on the stage as a huge pyro display is set off from the main stage. After this we do one more pan around the arena and stop in front of Jim Ross and Jerry 'The King' Lawler at the announce table.

Jim Ross: Welcome everyone to the return edition of Friday Night Smackdown! Tonight we have a very special show for you as the first United States and WWE Champions will be crowned tonight since the titles are being brought back! For the WWE Championship it's going to be the two finalists in the Gold Rush Tournament, William Regal and the former four time WWE Champion, The Undertaker! Also tonight we will have a special Triple Threat Match to crown the new United States Champion!

The King: Wow, JR! I can't wait for tonight's matches. I'm hoping tonight is going to be a good night!

Jim Ross: Me too, King! First let's kick it off with the Chairman of the WWE, Vince McMahon!

Vince McMahon's theme hits the arena and the crowd gives a mixed reaction as Vince walks out onto the stage in his usual suit and tie. He begins to walk down the ramp towards the ring as Lillian makes the official introduction.

Lillian: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the Chairman of the WWE, Vince McMahon!

Vince gets down to ringside, walks up the ring steps onto the apron and gets into the ring. He grabs the microphone from Lillian and waits until his theme fades away to begin speaking.

Vince McMahon: Welcome everyone to the return edition of Friday Night Smackdown!

~Crowd cheers

Vince McMahon: Tonight I would like to announce that the first United States Champion and WWE Champion will be crowned here tonight! As will a General Manager of Smackdown!

~Crowd cheers

Vince McMahon: Which I would like to congratulate The Undertaker and William Regal for making it this far into the tournament and good luck in tonight's final match. Now onto the Smackdown General Manager, it is my privilege to introduce the new General Manager of Smackdown...John Bradshaw Layfield!

JBL's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as JBL makes his way out onto the stage in his traditional cowboy, cowboy boots as well as a suit and tie. JBL walks down the ramp, walks up the ring steps onto the apron and gets into the ring. Vince hands off the microphone to JBL as JBL's theme fades away and the crowd boos.

JBL: Now that I am running both Raw and Smackdown, I can say that I am the second most powerful man in the WWE and it will stay that way for a very very long time. Get used to seeing me!

~Crowd boos

JBL: Mark my words, whoever wins that WWE Championship here tonight, I'm coming for that title and I'm taking it! I will then break my own record as longest reigning WWE Champion in Smackdown history because I AM A WRESTLING...GOD!

~Crowd boos

Smackdown fades into a commercial with JBL posing in the middle of the ring and his theme playing as the crowd boos.

**Commercial Break**

Jim Ross: Welcome back everyone and up next we've got the first match here on Smackdown!

The King: Oh boy, JR! Can't wait to see this one!

*Entrances and Introductions*

Match #1 - Singles Match
Gregory Helms vs. Ted Dibiase Jr.

Ending: Opening match for the returning edition of Friday Night Smackdown and both men have the role of kicking off the show with a bang! Both men start the match off with some headlock exchanges then flow over into the middle of the match with high impact moves connected by both men. A good brawl back and forth with some technical skill involved. Final moments of the match see Dibiase hit Helms with a vertical suplex floated over into a pinfall attempt but Helms kicks out at two. Dibiase gets up to his feet, pulls Helms up but Helms connects with a right hand, a kick to the gut which sends Dibiase down to his knees. Helms steps back a little bit, runs at Dibiase and hits him with the Shining Wizard into the pinfall to earn in the pinfall victory. Helm's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as Helms gets up to his feet. The referee walks over and raises his arm in victory as the crowd boos. The referee then hands Helms his World Tag Team Championship title belt. Helms holds it up into the air and taunts the crowd.

Winner - Gregory Helms via pinfall @ 10:42

Lillian: Here is your winner by pinfall, Gregory Helms!

Helms gets out of the ring with his world tag title belt and begins to walk up the ramp towards the back with the tag belt over his shoulder. Smackdown fades into a commercial with Dibiase rolling out of the ring and stumbling up the ramp behind Helms a little ways.

**Commercial Break**

Jim Ross: Welcome back everyone and up next we have the second match of the evening and boy is it a big one!

The King: The last match was good, hopefully this one can follow!

Jim Ross: I hope so too, King!

*Entrances and Introductions*

Match #2 - Singles Match
Brent Albright vs. Rob Van Dam

Ending: First time these two have ever faced off before and what a way to do it, on the return edition of Friday Night Smackdown. These two have sort of a tough act to follow as the opening bout between one half of the World Tag Team Champions, Gregory Helms battled Ted Dibiase Jr. in a good match that set the standard for tonight's matches although at some point that standard will most likely be broken by the upcoming WWE Championship match between William Regal and The Undertaker. Brent Albright making his debut here in the WWE and he hopes to start off his WWE debut in a good way. Both men start the match off with some stiff forearm and right hand exchanges before trading headlocks and headlock take downs into leg scissors for a few moments. Mid match we see RVD hit Brent with a Rolling Thunder into a somersault senton right into a pinfall attempt but Brent Albright kicks out at two. RVD pulls Brent up, hits him with a stiff forearm to the forehead, pushes Brent back into the ropes, bounces him off the ropes but Brent reverses the momentum mid-ring, turns RVD around and quickly hits him with a Half Nelson Suplex into a cover but RVD kicks out. Brent then quickly rolls RVD over onto his stomach and locks in the CROWBAR! After a few moments of hesitation and trying to slowly inch his way to the ropes, RVD tapes out at the mercy of Brent Albright. Brent's theme hits the arena as the crowd gives him a mild pop. He gets up to his feet and the referee raises his arm in victory.

Winner - Brent Albright via submission @ 13:09

Lillian: Here is your winner by submission, Brent Albright!

Brent celebrates his victory before getting out of the ring and making his way up the ramp towards the back. RVD getting out of the ring as Smackdown fades into another commercial.

**Commercial Break**

Jim Ross: Welcome back everyone and what two matches we have had so far here on Smackdown!

The King: I agree with ya there, JR. I can't wait to see what else is in store for us here tonight!

Jim Ross: Oh me neither, King. I've got a feeling that the rest of the matches tonight are going to be good ones! Up next ladies and gentlemen we have the Triple Threat Match to determine the new United States Champion!

The King: Oh wow, I have no doubt that this is gonna be good, JR!

*Entrances and Introductions*

Match #3 - Triple Threat Match ~ United States Championship
Rey Mysterio vs. James Gibson vs. Kofi Kingston

Ending: The United States Championship is on the line and none of these three men have ever held the United States Championship at any point in their career so tonight whoever wins this, it will be a very special night for. Beginning moments of the match we see Gibson and Kingston begin to work away at Mysterio. The crowd is behind all three men and can't really decide who to cheer for. After a few moments Mysterio begins to fight back. Mid match we see some high impact moves hit such as Kingston hitting Mysterio with Trouble In Paradise into the cover but Gibson breaks up the pinfall attempt, barely breaks it up would be a better choice of words. Final moments of the match we see Mysterio hit Kingston with the 619, Mysterio then gets out of the ring onto the apron, Gibson is on the outside after being thrown out by Mysterio moments ago. Mysterio jumps up to the top rope as Kingston gets up to his feet in the middle of the ring, Gibson quickly gets up onto the apron, grabs the leg of Mysterio and makes Mysterio slip up causing him to fall off the top rope down to the mat. Gibson quickly slides into the ring, kicks the groggy Kofi Kingston in the gut, butterflies his arms, hoists him up and hits him with the Gibson Driver into the pinfall and earns the three count as well as the United States Championship! Gibson's theme hits the arena and the crowd gives him a mild pop as he pops up to his feet in disbelief. The referee quickly hands him the United States Championship title belt and Gibson holds it up into the air. The championship belt is designed exactly like the Intercontinental Championship but with the American Flag and markings just like the old WWE United States Championship design.

Winner and NEW WWE United States Champion - James Gibson via pinfall @ 20:38

Lillian: Here is your winner and NEW WWE United States Champion, James Gibson!

Gibson continues to celebrate his title win in the ring. He hands the belt back to the referee who then proceeds to put the belt around Gibson's waist. Gibson climbs up onto the second ropes in a corner and shows off the belt around his waist. Smackdown fades into a commercial with Gibson continuing to celebrate his championship win.

**Commercial Break**

Jim Ross: Welcome back everyone and moments ago James Gibson was crowned the new United States Champion in what was a grueling twenty minute match that was damn good in my book!

The King: I agree with ya there, JR. That was a good match. I can't wait to see James Gibson's first title defense, I think he's gonna be a good champion, how about you, JR?

Jim Ross: I think so too which I wouldn't be surprised if he defended the title at Vengeance this month!

*Entrances and Introductions*

Match #4 - Tag Team Match
The Hooligans vs. The Carolina Connection (Shelton Benjamin & Matt Hardy)

Ending: Matt Hardy having his first match as the leader of The Carolina Connection stable. Earlier tonight one half of the World Tag Team Champions, Gregory Helms picked up a victory in a one on one match. The Undertaker vs. William Regal

Ending: William Regal has never been a world champion before and tonight he would love to make that dream of being a world champion, come true. The Undertaker has not been a world champion since last year and needless to say, it was not a good reign at all. He was stripped of the title by the then Smackdown General Manager, Vickie Guerrero. With her now gone from the WWE, The Undertaker has hopes to actually have a long and meaningful title reign. After a few seconds, Undertaker connects with the Tombstone into the trademark post-Tombstone cover and Undertaker gets the three count. The crowd explodes as Undertaker's theme hits the arena and he quickly stands up to his feet. The referee quickly walks over and hands him the WWE Championship belt. Undertaker holds it in his hands looking at it before holding it up into the air as a pyro display is set off from the rafter design similar to his post Wrestlemania 23 World Heavyweight Championship victory.
