Re: WWE 2009

I hate to do this everyone but I will be posting Backlash in quick results. Rather than keep everyone waiting for another week or two I might as well go ahead and do this. I've been very busy with personal issues over the past couple weeks and haven't had much time to write the show. I will continue to be busy for a week or two more. PPV's take longer to write than Raw so I might still have time to write the April 20th edition of Raw. Here are the Backlash results...

Re: WWE 2009

~Wrestling Observer Report~
April 20th 2009

**Possible Spoilers**

On the official WWE website, WWE has announced the return of the United States Championship! A tournament will begin on tonight's edition of Raw and the new champion will be crowned at Judgment Day.

WWE is thinking about bringing Smackdown back once again. They got rid of it at the end of 2008, brought it back on February 13th, ran with it for a couple weeks but then canceled it again. If they do bring it back again, expect it to stay for good this time.

Expect The Undertaker and Chris Jericho to have one more match before their feud ends. It's possible that the final match could take place tonight on Raw with some sort of stipulation added to the match. Undertaker is currently not scheduled to wrestle at Judgment Day so this could indicate that he will be taking a bit of time off.

WWE has announced that on May 13th, WWE will be over in Japan and there will be a special WWE vs. Japan show which will include Japanese stars going against WWE stars. Matches are expected to be announced sometime within the next few days. This show will be taped but it will play no part in current WWE storylines, just a show all about wrestling. There is a slight chance that Ric Flair could be making his return to the ring. He promised HBK that their match would be his final but HBK reportedly has told Flair that Japan deserves a Flair retirement match as well since Flair often competed in Japan back in the day. If Flair were to wrestle at the show, he would most likely be in a tag match with HBK against two Japan stars.

JBL and Batista are expected to be returning to the ring sometime within the next couple of weeks. JBL took some time off after losing the world title due to back problems. He is said to be feeling better and is ready to return to the ring anytime soon however he might not wrestle very long before retiring sometime near the end of this year.

Hulk Hogan has again contacted WWE about wrestling a retirement match at SummerSlam and this time WWE has gone against the idea and feels it's best for him to have no official retirement match because they doubt they could get him to put anyone over in his final match. So don't expect Hogan to be anywhere near a WWE ring ever again.

Re: WWE 2009

MVP for champion? I don't know. I mean, one day, no doubt, but it seems like a jump. We'll see though. On the bright side, Carolina Connection keeping the gold is great. Any gold on Gregory Helms is, really.

I like the inury updates, kind of adds realism to it, as well as the other tidbits you do.

Well he's been champion since the April 13th edition of Raw so I'm surprised you didn't comment on it back when he won the title rather than when he retained it. I've got good plans for his reign, it won't disappoint. Yeah, I plan on having the Carolina Connection hold the belts for quite a long time. Thanks for the comment.

Re: WWE 2009

Again I will be posting a show in Quick Results. However the April 27th edition of Raw will be in full with the new match recap format I started a couple weeks back. After this week I will be out of the clear with being busy and will have time to do shows in full again. Instead of just stopping everything until I'm done with being busy, I decided just to keep production rolling.

Re: WWE 2009

~News Update~
**Possible Spoilers**

WWE has decided not to bring back the United States Championship; they decided to just stick with the current three championships. Although many people backstage do not like the fact that MVP is holding both the two main titles and that the tag titles are the only things not being held by MVP. WWE has good plans for MVP and he won't be losing either title anytime soon although when he does lose the Intercontinental Championship, he'll be losing it to someone who has yet to hold it.

The Undertaker has now been scheduled to compete at Judgment Day. As of right now it is unclear who his opponent will be although he is now appearing in commercials for the Pay-Per-View.

Chris Jericho, after losing to Undertaker last week in a Casket Match to end their feud, will be taking time off to heal up nagging injuries and spend time with his family. He isn't expected back for a few months.

Stone Cold will not be wrestling at Judgment Day although he will likely be on the SummerSlam card in August.

**Out Of Character**

The April 27th edition of Monday Night Raw will be posted within the next two days. I just have about half of the show left to write. It will be up in with all matches in recap format and promos in full. I'm sorry that the last few shows including Backlash were in quick results. Judgment Day will not be like that.

Monday Night Raw - April 27th 2009

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

April 27th 2009
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Mellon Arena

A video package plays which shows the highlights of Backlash as well as the highlight events on last week's edition of Monday Night Raw. We cut into the arena with the camera panning around the arena showing all the rabid fans on their feet. We then cut over to the stage where a pyro display is set off. We do another pan around the arena before stopping in front of JR and King at the announcer's table.

JR - Welcome everyone to the final April edition of Monday Night Raw! I'm Jim Ross here with my broadcast partner, Jerry 'The King' Lawler!

King - Thanks JR! Boy, what a show we have tonight!

JR - No doubt, King. Going to be a great night. Tonight we've got CM Punk going up against the World Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion, MVP in non-title action!

King - Oh wow, JR. I can't wait for that!

All the sudden Triple H's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as Triple H makes his way out onto the stage in street clothes and a leather jacket. Triple H then begins making his way down the ramp towards the ring.

Lillian - Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome, Triple H!

The crowd once again boos as Triple H gets down to the ringside area, gets up onto the ring apron, looks out into the crowd and gets into the ring. He walks over to Lillian and grabs the mic from her hand before she gets out of the ring. After a few moments, his theme fades away and he begins to speak.

Triple H - Last week, I came out here to speak about my loss at Backlash; I called the champion, MVP, out here and demanded that I get a rematch at Judgment Day, he never answered. So tonight, right now, I'm again demanding my rematch, this time not for Judgment Day but for tonight! I don't want to wait any longer! So MVP, get out here and accept my challenge! And by the way, this time, I don't want just your World Heavyweight Championship! This time, I want both your titles!

After a few moments, MVP's theme hits the arena and the crowd gives a mixed reaction. MVP walks out onto the stage in a suit and tie. The World Heavyweight Championship around his waist and the Intercontinental title over his right shoulder. He walks down the ramp towards the ring, gets down to the ringside area and walks up the ring steps; he gets into the ring through the middle ropes. MVP walks over to the backside of the ring and asks for a mic; Lillian hands him a mic. MVP's theme fades away and he turns around to face Triple H.

MVP - You want a match here tonight for both of my titles? Did I hear that right?

Triple H - Yes, yes you did!

MVP - Well sorry, I've already got a match tonight against CM Punk, non-title by the way.

Triple H - I don't care, if you don't accept my demand, you will regret it!

MVP - Oh really? I don't think I'll be regretting anything when I've got the boss on my side.

Vince walks out onto the stage in a suit and tie, Triple H turns around to face him. Vince has a mic in hand.

Vince - That's right Triple H. Tonight, you're getting nothing! However, I will give you the match at Judgment Day, that way the champ can have time to prepare, you know how those goes.

MVP - Yeah! Yeah! I need time to prepare, you can't just come out here all impromptu and expect to get a title match that quickly.

Triple H - Well, as long as we're having the match at Judgment Day, I want to have the right to pick the stipulation!

MVP - Alright, that's cool with me.

Triple H - At Judgment Day, I want a No Holds Barred match for the World Heavyweight Championship!

Triple H drops the mic and then begins hitting right hands on MVP. MVP drops quickly throws the Intercontinental title over the top ropes to the floor on the outside. Triple H pushes MVP back into the ropes, detaches the world title from around his waist and hits MVP in the head with the title belt which sends MVP falling over the top rope to the floor on the outside. Triple H with the world title in hand, walks to the center of the ring and does his signature pose with the world title. The crowd gives a slight mixed reaction. MVP slowly gets back to his feet and begins making his way up the ramp to the back. We fade into a commercial with Triple H staring at the world title in his hands.

*Commercial*

JR - Welcome back everyone, moments ago it was confirmed that MVP will defend his world title against Triple H in a No Holds Barred match at Judgment Day!

King - Oh that's right, JR.

JR - Up next we've got the first match of the night, it's William Regal going one on one against Rob Van Dam!

*Entrances and Introductions*

~Match One~
William Regal vs. RVD
Both men start off the match with a bit of chain wrestling, kind of a rarity for RVD but when he does do it, he does it well. Both men trading off high impact moves, lots of stiff striking in this match. Mid match, Regal gets out of the ring to regain his composure and RVD hits him with a Plancha which sends him down to the ground. Near the final moments of the match we see RVD hit Regal a split-legged moonsault into the cover but Regal puts his foot on the rope. RVD goes up to the top for the Five Star Frog Splash, he jumps off but hits the mat with a thud as Regal moved away. Regal gets up, pulls RVD up and locks in the Regal Stretch. After a few moments, RVD calls for the bell to be rung and the referee calls for it.

Winner - William Regal via submission @ 8:45

Regal's theme hits the arena as he still has the hold locked in. The referee interferes and forces Regal to break the hold. The referee then raises Regal's arm in victory.

Lillian - Here is your winner by submission, William Regal!

JR - Well, Regal picking up the victory over RVD here tonight. Stay tuned, we'll be right back!

*Commercials*

We come back from commercials with the lights in the arena out, Abyss's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as the stage lights turn to a shade of right. Abyss and James Mitchell walk out onto the stage and begin to make the journey down the ramp to the ring. They get down to ringside, Mitchell walks up the steps into the ring first, followed by Abyss. Mitchell quickly grabs the mic from Lillian and she gets out of the ring. The ring lights turn to a shade of red while the rest of the lights remain off. The theme fades away.

James Mitchell - Last week, we came out here and declared that we would have a mighty challenge to be proposed here tonight. Tonight, we're out here to challenge a man who has been in this company for almost twenty years, a man who is undefeated at Wrestlemania and a man, who has finally met his match. For years, Undertaker merely tossed around everyone else, he won't be able to do that to Abyss. Indeed, Undertaker! You have finally met your match! Many times have people come out here much like this and challenged you, only to be defeated. That changes this time around because Abyss, doesn't like to lose and he refuses to lose! Undertaker! At Judgment Day, Abyss will put the final nail in your coffin and lay you to rest. You see Undertaker, you're time has come to disappear into the mist from which you came!

The crowd boos intensely.

James Mitchell - Undertaker, if you accept our challenge, play your tricks, just whatever you have to do, get down to his ring and face your match, face to face, monster to monster!

The lights turn out completely and come on after a few moments. In the middle of the ring, lay the body of The Undertaker with Abyss and James Mitchell standing on each side of him.

James Mitchell - Hahaha! Oh Undertaker, you think you can trick every fool that steps into this ring. Well not us! Undertaker, at Judgment Day, your judgment will be...CLICK! DOOMSDAY!

Mitchell begins to laugh as the lights turn completely off again, they come back on after a few moments; Abyss and James Mitchell are gone. Undertaker's body remains in the ring as we fade to a commercial.

*Commercial*

JR - Welcome back everyone! Up next we've got James Gibson going one on one against the former Intercontinental Champion, Elijah Burke! Should be a great pure wrestling match!

King - You said it, JR!

*Entrances and Introductions*

~Match Two~

Elijah Burke vs. James Gibson (Jamie Noble)
Burke picked up the win last week against one half of the current tag team champions, Gregory Helms; Burke hopes to get another win here tonight as he goes one on one against James Gibson who is a former Cruiserweight Champion as well as a former Ring of Honor World Champion! These two start the match off with a couple headlock/head scissors exchanges before hitting eachother with high impact moves. Mid match we see Burke hit his signature corner headstand elbow drop on Gibson into the cover but he kicks out. Final moments of the match we see Burke go for the Elijah Experience but Gibson gets out of it, kicks Burke in the gut and hits him with the Gibson Driver into the pinfall to pick up the victory!

Winner - James Gibson via pinfall @ 7:16

Gibson's theme hits the arena and the crowd gives a mild pop as the referee raises Gibson's hand in victory.

Lillian - Here is your winner by pinfall, James Gibson!

Gibson poses for the crowd in the corner as we then cut over to JR and King at the announcer's table.

JR - What a great match that was, King!

King - Short and sweet, just like Lillian!

JR - Actually, I think she's taller than you.

King - ...Well...you know what I mean

JR - Yeah, I do. We'll be right back!

*Commercial*

We come back from commercial with the camera fixed on the stage. Batista's theme hits the arena and the crowd explodes as Batista makes his way out onto the stage in a suit/tie with sunglasses on. He does his signature entrance theatrics as pyro shoots up from the stage behind him. He then begins to make his way down the ramp towards the ring.

Lillian - Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome, Batista!

Batista sprints up the ring steps onto the apron, looks out into the crowd and gets into the ring. He walks over and Lillian hands him the microphone before getting out of the ring. Batista's theme fades away as the crowd is cheering.

Batista - It's good to be back!

The crowd cheers

Batista - Last week, I defeated William Regal in my return match and tonight, I'm feeling good enough to talk about this. A couple months ago, a man by the name of Brock Lesnar returned here to the WWE. At the time, I wasn't feeling up to it to bring him up at all but ya know, it just bugs me that, when he left the WWE back in 2004, I basically took his place and I, became the next big thing. Now he comes back, just thinks he can be that big thing like he was for two years and get title shot after title shot, just like that. Brock, I took your spot and I'm not about to sit here and let you take it away from me! I was the big dominant guy here in the WWE after you left and it's going to stay that way!

The crowd boos

Batista - Haha, you fans are so fickle, it amazes me really. Interesting how both you and me, Brock, are three time world champions and now it seems we're in a race to see which of us can become that four time champion. Infact, do you remember Lesnar, back before you left the company, just before Wrestlemania 20, Vince was already making plans for Wrestlemania 21 and you, were going to face Triple H at Wrestlemania 21 for the World Heavyweight Championship...and I took your place! Now you want it back! Lesnar, I'm not going to give it back!

The crowd boos once again

Batista - Next week Lesnar, I want you in this ring, face to face with me! I want you to come out here and explain to me why all the sudden now, you want your spot back, that I have taken!

The crowd boos as Batista drops the mic and his theme hits the arena once again. Raw fades into another commercial.

*Commercial*

We come back from commercial with The Carolina Connection's theme playing and them in the ring holding their tag titles. Their theme then slowly fades away.

JR - The Carolina Connection going to be in tag team action here tonight against opponents at Judgment Day, Christian Cage and John Cena!

*Entrances and Introductions*

~Match Three~

-Non Title-
The Carolina Connection vs. Christian Cage/John Cena
The Carolina Connection, coming off a successful title defense two weeks ago at Backlash hoping to pick up another victory here tonight. Shelton Benjamin and Christian are going to start off tonight's match. They lock up in the center of the ring and exchange in some good chain wrestling. Mid match we see Cena go for an FU but Helms gets out of it, Cena turns around, Helms kicks Cena in the gut who then drops to his knees and Helms hits him with a Shining Wizard into the pinfall but Cage surprisingly breaks it up. Final moments of the match, Cena crawls over to his corner, tags in Cage and Cage enters the match. Near the match ending Shelton goes for a T-Bone but Cage gets out of it, puts Shelton in position for the Unprettier and hits it. Instead of going for the cover, Cage climbs up to the top rope for a Frog Splash, he jumps off and suddenly Cena gets in the way, catches Cage on his shoulders and hits him with an FU right onto Shelton Benjamin which incidentally the referee begins the count and counts to three as Cage lay on top of him thanks to Cena.

Winners - Christian Cage/John Cena via pinfall @ 12:00

Christian's theme hits the arena and the crowd gives a mixed reaction as Cena gets out of the ring and makes his way up the ramp as Cage is stirring in the ring.

Lillian - Here are your winners by pinfall, Christian Cage and John Cena!

Cage begins pulling himself up with help from the ropes and staring at Cena at the top of the ramp. Cena points towards Cage and mouths the words "turn around" Cage turns around and Shelton hits Cage with one of the tag title belts. Cena laughs as Raw fades into a commercial. Shelton and Gregory get out of the ring with their tag belts.

*Commercial*

We come back from commercial with the camera fixed on the stage. Mist fills up the stage as Rated RKO's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as Edge and Randy Orton make their way out onto the stage in their ring gear but both with T-Shirts on. They both then begin to make their way down the ramp towards the ring. They get down to the ringside area and walk up the ring steps onto the apron into the ring one after the other. Edge walks up to Lillian and grabs the mic out of her hand before she gets out of the ring to take her seat at ringside. Their theme fades away as the crowd boos.

Edge - Last week, Randy and I came out here to this very ring to challenge Shawn Michaels and The Rock to a tag team match at Judgment Day because we just can't get enough of that thrill of killing the legends that came before us. It just gives us a feeling that none of you people could ever understand and that feeling is accomplishment!

The crowd boos

Edge - We also challenged them to the match because we know how much each of them would like to face eachother one more time in a Wrestlemania rematch so we thought that this would help get it going, you know. I'm sure all you people thought of us as very generous for that...

The crowd boos once again

Edge - Haha, good ole reliable fans! Shawn Michaels and The Rock came out here and accepted the challenge. Now we're out here tonight to just thank them because that means we will get another dose of accomplishment at Judgment Day. Because ya see, Shawn Michaels is breaking down, piece by piece everytime he steps into this ring he gets a little more beat down and closer to the day that he finally retires. Ya know, I was just thinking, how great would it be if Shawn Michaels retired this year after facing The Rock in their Wrestlemania rematch ?

The crowd boos again

Edge - Shawn Michaels nor The Rock are here tonight so we'd like to go ahead and take the liberty of making the match official for Judgment Day. Randy, if you will.

Randy walks over to the backside of the ring, leans over the top rope and Lillian hands Orton a clipboard and a pen. Orton walks back over to Edge and hands him both items.

Edge - Right here, in my hand I hold the official contract for the tag team match at Judgment Day and since Shawn and Rock aren't here, we'll just go ahead and sign the names.

Edge signs his name, hands it to Orton who then signs his name and hands it back to Edge. Edge then signs Shawn and Rock's names in their spots on the paper.

Edge - Now it's official. I have went ahead and signed the names of Shawn Michaels and The Rock, for them, now they can't back down or anything.

Shawn Michael's theme hits the arena and Edge looks at Orton in shock and then back at the stage. HBK's theme dies down after a few moments.

Edge - Haha, told yall he wasn't here tonight.

Edge hears a noise and turns around. There lays Orton on the ground. Edge turns back around and HBK nails him with a Sweet Chin Music! The crowd explodes as HBK poses for the crowd. Rock's theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers even more. Rock makes his way out onto the stage and then down to the ring. Rock slides under the bottom ropes and stands up in front of HBK. The crowd cheers as both men stand nose to nose. Raw fades into a commercial as both men stare eachother down.

*Commercial*

JR - Welcome back everyone to Monday Night Raw and up next we've got Kaz in one on one action against Brian Kendrick! What a match this should be, King!

King - Oh I totally agree, JR. Two fantastic young athletes who everytime they step into the ring give it their all, this is no doubt going to be a great match!

*Entrances and Introductions*

~Match Four~
Brian Kendrick vs. Kaz
Both men start the match off with some good headlock exchanges before going into more high impact stuff. Mid match we see Kaz hit Kendrick with a Cradle Suplex right off the ring apron down to the ground. Both men barely make it back into the ring before getting counted out. Later on in the match we see Kaz go for a German suplex on Kendrick from the second rope but Kendrick barely gets out of it and elbows Kaz in the side of the head which sends him down to the mat. Kendrick jumps off and hits his double stomp on Kaz's midsection. Final moments of the match we see Kendrick go for a superkick on Kaz but Kaz ducks out of the way and hits Kendrick with the Wave Of The Future into the pinfall to get the final three count to pick up the victory.

Winner - Kaz via pinfall @ 9:39

Kaz's theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers as Kaz gets his hand raised by the referee.

Lillian - Here is your winner by pinfall, Kaz!

The crowd cheers once again as Kaz celebrates his victory. We then quickly cut to backstage where we see Vince sitting at his desk. Triple H walks in and Vince suddenly stands up.

Vince - What do you want?

Triple H - I want in that match tonight!

Vince - You want me to make MVP vs CM Punk a Triple Threat match with you in it?

Triple H - No! I want to be the special guest referee!

Vince - Ah...okay...I guess so, I don't see anything wrong with that. I mean it's not like the match is for the title or anything so you wouldn't be able to screw MVP out of the championship.

Triple H - Yeah...haha.

Triple H turns around to walk away, Vince looks puzzled as Raw fades into a commercial.

*Commercial*

JR - Welcome back everyone and it's main event time! It's CM Punk going up against MVP in a non-title match!

*Entrances and Introductions*

~Main Event~
-Non Title-
MVP (c) vs. CM Punk w/Triple H as Special Guest Referee
Both men start the match off with some good technical wrestling and then they brawl back and forth. Mid match we see Punk hit MVP with his signature springboard flying clothesline which takes MVP down to the mat. Punk pulls MVP up and hits him with the Devil Lock DDT into a cover, Triple H makes a fast two count before MVP kicks out. Later on in the match MVP hits Punk with a superplex into a cover but Triple H makes a very slow two count before Punk kicks out. MVP gets in Triple H about making slow counts but Triple H quickly points at his shirt signifying he's referee and MVP can't touch him and if he does, he'll get disqualified. A little while later Punk and MVP are fighting on the outside, Punk slides MVP back into the ring and locks on the Devil Lock submission hold. Trile H is all ready to ring the bell all he needs is the slighest sign of MVP wanting to give up. After a few moments, Punk breaks the hold which makes Triple H angry. Triple H gets in Punk's face about breaking the hold. Triple H kicks CM Punk in the gut and hits him with a Pedigree. MVP is getting back to his feet slowly. MVP stumbles forward a bit, Triple H kicks him in the gut and hits him with a Pedigree too. Triple H then begins the double count for both men to get to their feet. After a few moments, Punk slowly gets back up to his feet with help from the ropes. MVP does the same. Triple H looks frustrated as both men make the count. Punk and MVP begin to brawl again. After a few moments, Punk hits MVP with a side slam right into the Anaconda Vice. Without too much hesitation, Triple H calls for the bell.

Winner - CM Punk via submission @ 15:10

Punk's theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers as Punk is declared the winner. Punk breaks the hold and stands up.

JR - Triple H just screwed MVP!

Punk and Triple H are standing face to face as Punk is questioning Triple H's call. Punk hoists Triple H up on his shoulders and hits him with the Go To Sleep and the crowd cheers. Punk walks over to the backside of the ring and calls for Lillian to hand him both of the title belts. She does and Punk walks to the center of the ring holding both. MVP begins to pull himself up with help from the ropes. MVP gets up and is leaning in the corner. MVP is looking at Punk. Punk drops the title belts and gets out of the ring as Raw fades off the air with MVP looking puzzled.

~Quick Results~

William Regal defeated RVD via pinfall

James Gibson defeated Elijah Burke via pinfall

Christian Cage/John Cena defeated The Carolina Connection via pinfall

Re: WWE 2009

MVP and Triple H interaction is good, it's what he needs for solidification. CM Punk also being involved, though in a small way could be great. I want an epic Triple H and CM Punk feud, with both as Heels.

Anyways, overall very good show man.

Re: WWE 2009

~News Report~
**Possible Spoilers**

It is being reported that Kurt Angle's TNA contract expires on May 16th and WWE is trying to work a deal with Angle to get him back into a WWE ring as soon as possible. Word is that things between the two are going very well and it's a big possibility that Angle will be coming back to work for the WWE.

WWE has announced that it has canceled the May 13th show in Japan that would feature Japan stars going up against WWE stars. No word on why it was canceled.

MVP is expected to be having a feud with Shawn Michaels at some point within the next couple of months. Shawn Michaels is said to be retiring sometime within the next year so it's possible he could get one more reign as World Heavyweight Champion and get a good reign as champion as he's winding down his career.

Judgment Day is now fully sold out and will take place from the Hartford Civic Center in Hartford, Connecticut on May 17th!

Monday Night Raw - May 4th 2009

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

May 4th 2009
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Wachovia Center

A video package is shown which shows the highlights from Backlash as well as the past two weeks on Raw. We cut into the arena with the camera panning around the arena showing all the rabid fans on their feet. We then cut over to the stage where a pyro display is set off. We do another pan around the arena before stopping in front of JR and King at the announcer's table.

JR - Welcome everyone to Monday Night Raw! I'm JR here with my broadcast partner, Jerry 'The King' Lawler!

King - That's right, JR. What a great show we're going to have here tonight!

JR - No doubt about that, King! Also tonight folks we're going to have a Number One Contenders Match for the World Tag Team Championship! The winning team will face the champions for the titles at Judgment Day! It's Kaz and Petey Williams going up against The Hooligans! Also tonight folks, we're going to see Triple H take on CM Punk in one on one action! Up next we have our first match of the night, James Gibson going up against William Regal!

*Entrances and Introductions*

**Match One**
James Gibson vs. William Regal
Both Gibson and Regal won their respective singles matches last week on Raw and both of them hope to pick up another victory here tonight. The match starts off with a fantastic exchange of technical ability into some signature suplexes and slams by Regal. Mid match both men are fighting on the outside and Regal slams Gibson right into the steel steps shoulder first. Near the end of the match we see both men fighting up on the top ropes, Gibson going for a superplex but decides to put Regal in position for the Gibson Driver. After a few moments Gibson hits Regal with a Gibson driver right off the top rope. Regal's back slams into the mat and he grabs at his back in pain as he yells out. Gibson goes for the cover on Regal and gets the three count to pick up his second victory in a row.

Winner - James Gibson via pinfall @ 8:00

Gibson's theme hits the arena as the crowd gives a slight pop. The referee raises Gibson's hand in victory as another referee comes down to check on Regal.

JR - I think Regal may have hurt his back on that one!

Lillian - Here is your winner by pinfall, James Gibson!

King - I wouldn't doubt that, JR!

Raw fades into a commercial with the referees down by Regal checking on his condition and Gibson celebrating his victory over the fallen William Regal.

*Commercial*

We come back from commercial with the camera fixed on the stage. Lesnar's theme suddenly hits the arena and the crowd cheers as Lesnar makes his way out onto the stage and begins to make his way down the ramp towards the ring. Lesnar gets down to ringside, he hops up onto the apron and pyro shoots up from all four corners of the ring. Lesnar then gets into the ring, Lillian hands him a mic and gets out of the ring. Lesnar's theme fades away as the crowd cheers.

Brock Lesnar - I'm here tonight to accept the challenge that Batista laid out to me last week. I'm accepting because I know that I am the superior athlete, I am the better wrestler and I have the rightful spot in his company as the big man who dominates everyone. Not some no name guy named Batista who has no athletic background in his life, is all roided up and has no wrestling ability whatsoever. I mean, look at your match with John Cena at SummerSlam last year, Batista. You looked funny trying to do submission holds. You fail at wrestling ability. I actually have a background in wrestling and know how to wrestle, Batista, at Judgment Day, you will be taken to school by the man who you supposedly replaced!

Batista's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as Batista makes his way out onto the stage. Batista then begins to walk down the ramp, he gets up onto the ring apron and climbs into the ring. His theme fades away as he steps up face to face with Lesnar. Batista grabs the mic from Lesnar and the crowd once again boos as well as begins a 'Lesnar' chant.

Batista - Lesnar, you're right, I have no athletic background like yourself, I don't know how to do technical wrestling and I have no technical ability. But I can destroy anyone who steps into this ring, including you!

Lesnar points at himself and tells Batista 'So can I'

Batista - You won't be able to destroy me when we go face to face at Judgment Day because I am better than you!

Batista drops the mic, kicks Lesnar in the gut and puts him in position for the Batista Bomb but Lesnar quickly backs out of it, hoists Batista up on his shoulders but Batista quickly slides out behind Lesnar and gets out of the ring. Both men make gestures showing how close they were to hitting their respective finishers on one another. Lesnar's theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers for Lesnar as Batista backs up the rampway. Raw fades into a commercial.

*Commercial*

JR - Welcome back everyone and up next we've got the former Intercontinental Champion, Elijah Burke going one on one against another former Intercontinental Champion, Rob Van Dam!

King - This should no doubt be a great match.

JR - Their first meeting if my knowledge serves me correct!

*Entrances and Introductions*

**Match Two**
Elijah Burke vs. RVD

Both men, former Intercontinental Champions; no doubt they would like to one day hold championship gold again. Match starts off with some good back and forth technical wrestling ability being showcased. After the first few moments of the match are shed, RVD hits Burke with his signature shoulder thrusts in the corner, a back handspring into a monkey flip on Burke. Mid match we see Burke hit RVD with a stinger splash in the corner, a scoop slam and then does a headstand on the top turnbuckle into an elbow drop on RVD right into the cover but RVD kicks out at two. Near the end of the match we see RVD go for a split legged moonsault on Burke but Burke quickly rolls out of the way and RVD hits the mat face down with a thud. Burke gets up, RVD slowly gets up, turns around and Burke hits him with the Elijah Experience into the cover to get the desired three count to gain a victory over RVD.

Winner - Elijah Burke via pinfall @ 10:14

Burke's theme hits the arena and the crowd gives a mild pop as Burke's arm is raised in victory by the referee.

Lillian - Here is your winner by pinfall, Elijah Burke!

Burke gets up onto the second ropes and celebrates his victory as Raw fades into a commercial.

*Commercial*

We come back from commercial with the camera fixed on the stage. The lights suddenly go out and the bell tolls as the crowd explodes into a chorus of cheers. Mist fills up the stage and the rampway as Undertaker's theme fades into the arena. A spotlight is fixed on the center of the stage as the other lights surrounding the stage are turned on to a shade of purple. Undertaker slowly walks out onto the stage and walks into the spotlight. Undertaker then begins to slowly walk down the ramp. After a few moments he gets down to the ringside area, stops in front of the ring, turns left and makes his way up the ring steps. He gets to the top of the steps and slowly raises his arms up. He lowers his arms and steps up onto the ring apron before climbing into the ring. He walks over to the backside of the ring, leans over the top rope and a microphone is handed to him by Lillian. Undertaker turns around and walks to the center of the ring as all the arena lights remain off and a spotlight is fixed on Undertaker in the middle of the ring.

The Undertaker - Abyss...you come out here last week and have your handler challenge me to a match for Judgment Day with the arrogance that you will defeat me like very few men have. You may have come from a place where you were the biggest of all men there but here in the WWE, you are all but dwarfed by myself and a select few others. You are not the biggest man anymore and you are not the strongest man anymore. Many men have stepped before me in this ring and many men have laid at my feet before me in this ring after a long and slow passageway to defeat. Abyss...your plan here in the WWE is to remain undefeated for your time being here but those hopes and dreams will be taken away from you at Judgment Day. I am the ruler of these lands, the keeper of souls and The Undertaker of corpses. Abyss you like many men before you...you will Rest In Peace!

The lights flicker, the bell tolls, the ring fills up with mist and Undertaker gets down on his knee and does his signature pose before mist shoots up from the center of the ring and Undertaker disappears. Raw fades into a commercial.

*Commercial*

JR - Welcome back everyone to Monday Night Raw and up next we have the monster Abyss in one on one action!

*Entrances and Introductions*

**Match Three**

Abyss vs. Matt Hardy

Both men start the match up by locking up in the center of the ring. Abyss overpowers Matt and pushes him back into the corner to begin nailing him with right hands to the head. Abyss grabs the hand of Matt and irish whips him into the opposite corner. Matt hits the turnbuckles, grabs at his back and stumbles out of the corner only to get hit with a big boot from Abyss. Mid match we see Matt getting some offense in on Abyss with multiple right hands, kicks to the legs and lariats but Abyss doesn't go down. Later on, Abyss throws Matt to the outside, gets out of the ring and slams Matt into the steps multiple times. Final moments of the match we again see Matt hitting Abyss with some offense, Matt after hitting Abyss with multiple right hands, backs into the corner and pulls himself up to the second ropes, Matt jumps off but Abyss catches him, spins around and hits him with a Blackhole Slam right down to the mat into the cover and gets the three count.

Winner - Abyss via pinfall @ 7:55

Abyss's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as Mitchell quickly gets into the ring with a steel chair in hand. Mitchell hands the chair to Abyss and gives him orders. Abyss with his free hand pulls Matt up to his feet, pushes him against the ropes and nails him right in the head with the steel chair. Matt falls down to his knees and is dazed. Abyss nails Matt in the head again with the chair and Matt falls backwards down into the mat. Abyss drops the chair, gets out of the ring, grabs the top layer of the steel steps and throws them up the ramp. He grabs the bottom layer of the steps and tosses them over the top rope into the ring. Abyss slides under the bottom rope, stands up and positions the bottom layer of the steps in the center of the ring. Abyss pulls Matt up, bounces him off the ropes, grabs him and hits him with a Blackhole Slam right onto the steps. Abyss then quickly grabs the chair again and hits Matt in the head with the chair again this time now busting Matt open. Abyss drops the chair and does his pose in the ring, making an example out of Matt Hardy. Raw fades into a commercial with Abyss and James Mitchell standing in the ring, Mitchell is taking trash about Undertaker while taunting Matt.

*Commercial*

JR - Welcome back everyone! Up next we've got a number one contenders match for the World Tag Team Championship! The winners will face The Carolina Connection at Judgment Day for the World Tag Team Championships! And here to join us on commentary, the tag team champions themselves, The Carolina Connection!

*Entrances and Introductions*

**Match Four**

-Number One Contenders Match-
The Hooligans vs. Kaz/Petey Williams (Carolina Connection on commentary)

Brian Kendrick and Paul London have held tag team gold together as a team before and they would no doubt love to regain some championship gold. Kaz and Petey Williams have yet to hold any gold here in the WWE but are hopeful for it one day. Tonight both teams will get a chance to compete for the tag titles at Judgment Day. No matter which teams wins, it will for sure be a stellar match at Judgment Day. We start off the match with London and Williams. Both men tie up in the center of the ring and exchange some good technical wrestling ability. Mid match we see Kaz and Kendrick as the legal men. Both men are fighting on the top ropes and Kendrick eventually hits Kaz with a hurricanrana off the top ropes down to the mat. Final moments of the match we see Kendrick hit Kaz with Sliced Bread #2 into the cover but Williams gets into the ring and breaks up the pinfall. Here comes London into the ring but Williams fights him off and hits him with a Canadian Destroyer which London then slides out of the ring. Kendrick goes to fight off Williams but Williams quickly gets out of the ring. Kaz gets up, Kendrick turns around and Kaz hits him with the Wave Of The Future into the cover to get the pinfall.

Winners - Kaz/Petey Williams via pinfall @ 14:01

Kaz and Petey William's theme hits the arena and the crowd cheers as the referee raises their arms in victory. Shelton and Gregory stand up at the announcers table and hold up their tag titles. Kaz and Petey point at them while the Carolina Connection taunts them. Kaz and Petey motion for the belts around their waists as Raw fades into another commercial.

*Commercial*

JR - Welcome back everyone, moments ago we had a fantastic tag team match between The Hooligans and the team of Kaz and Petey Williams to determine who the number one contenders for the World Tag Team Championships would be and after a grueling match, Kaz and Petey Williams became the number one contenders and will face The Carolina Connection at Judgment Day.

King - Oh wow, JR. Carolina Connection has had a dominate reign as tag champions and we could be seeing it end at Judgment Day.

JR - I'm being told right now that the match at Judgment Day will be a Tables Match with elimination rules!

King - Oh boy! I can't wait until Judgment Day! What a show it's being shaped up to be, JR!

JR - No doubt about that King! Well ladies and gentlemen, it's time for the main event and it has been changed from Triple H going one on one with CM Punk to now being a tag team match. It's going to be, Triple H teaming up with John Cena to take on Christian Cage and CM Punk with the World Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion, MVP, here with us on commentary.

*Entrances and Introductions*

**Main Event**
Triple H/John Cena vs. CM Punk/Christian Cage (MVP on commentary)

Triple H will be taking on MVP for the World Heavyweight Championship in a No Holds Barred match at Judgment Day and he hopes to pick up a victory here tonight to keep his confidence at a high peak going into his match at Judgment Day barely less than two weeks away on Sunday the 17th. John Cena, Christian Cage and CM Punk will meet in a Triple Threat Match at Judgment Day and the winner will be named new number one contender and will get a title match at Vengeance agianst whoever the World Heavyweight Champion is at that time. We start the match off with Cena and Christian who have had a little history together. Most recently, last week during a tag team match against The Carolina Connection, Cena FUed Christian right on top of Benjamin; winning the match but no doubt sending a message. These two start the match off by locking up in the center of the ring and exchanging some right hands. Mid match we see Cena and Cage tag in Triple H and CM Punk. CM Punk enters the match by springboarding off the top rope and hitting Triple H with his signature diving clothesline ino a cover but Triple H kicks out at one. Final moments of the match we see Cena and Cage brawling on the outside of the ring. Punk had just hit Triple H with a Devil Lock DDT. Punk and Triple H are slowly getting up to their feet, both men get up and turn to face eachother. Triple H and Punk begin to trade right hands, Punk irish whips Triple H into the corner, runs at him and hits him with his signature knee strike to the face. Instead of Punk hitting Triple H with the bulldog out of the corner for a second time in the match, he jumps down and hoists Triple H up onto the top rope. The crowd cheers because they know what is coming next. Punk climbs up to the top ropes, butterflies the arms of Triple H and puts his head between his legs. Punk jumps backwards to hit the Pepsi Plunge but Triple H pushes Punk off and Punk hits the mat as Triple H remains on the top ropes. Triple H jumps down and leans against the ropes for a moment. Punk gets up to his feet, runs at Triple H with a clothesline attempt, Triple H moves out of the way and Punk runs right into the ropes. Punk turns around, bounces off the ropes and Triple H hits Punk with the Double A spinebuster. Triple H does his signature taunt as the crowd boos. Punk slowly gets back to his feet, Triple H kicks him in the gut, in position for the Pedigree and hits it. Triple H goes for the cover and gets the pinfall.

Winners - Triple H/John Cena via pinfall @ 22:35

Triple H's theme hits the arena and the crowd boos as Triple H walks to the backside of the ring and points at MVP at the commentator's desk. MVP stands up and taunts Triple H back. Triple H motions for the world title belt around his waist. MVP holds up his world title and points at it then points back at himself. After a couple minutes of exchanging taunts. Punk gets back up to his feet, comes up behind Triple H, turns him around, hoists him up on his shoulders and hits Triple H with the Go To Sleep. Punk then walks to where Triple H was standing and points at the world title as Raw fades off the air.
