Ring Of Action

Ring Of Action

Scenario: May 10th 2008. The biggest day in Ring Of Honor history, the debut at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Oh how great it will be. The sold out crowd, the livid fans, hopefully lots of merchandise sold and a great card. What could go wrong? Little did Cary Silkin and the rest of the Ring Of Honor roster know what they were in for. The building was packed, as expected, but not sold out. There were 3 open rows in the 2nd balcony, leading to a sold out look, but not quite. Ticket sales made decent money, but not anywhere near the amount that it cost to rent out the Hammerstein. Merchandise was key to ROH’s survival, and tonight it made considerable profit, but not enough to pay for Hammerstein. That is ok, though, a little lost, more for next time.

Over the next 2 months, Ring Of Honor had the same reoccurring theme over the shows. Little by little, withno sponsorship money or television deal coming, Ring Of Honor was struggling to survive. Out of the blue, Dixie Carter decided to call Ring Of Honor.

Over on the TNA side of things, everything appeared to be good from a casual viewers point of view. Television was solid. A network deal on Spike TV! Primetime! But behind the scenes, things weren’t shaping up so well. There was an ever increasing wall between the main event stars on their last days of glory such as Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash, and the guys who should be getting paid more, such as Kaz and Petey Williams. With increasing tensions backstage, and the booking becoming more confusing, Dixie Carter snapped when she read the latest finance report. Not only were television ratings down, but so were merchandise sales and house show attendance. Carter had a meeting with Dutch Mantell and Vince Russo. 3 hours later, Russo and Mantell found themselves without jobs. August 1st would go down as the day that Russo was no longer a wrestling writer.

Desperate for a buzz to her product, Carter called up Cary Silkin, asking for a meeting. On August 3rd 2008, Silkin and Carter met at the Marriot in New York City over lunch. Carter needed to rant, and Silkin was the next biggest competition. After Silkin shared the displeasure of the current situation of Ring of Honor, Carter thought of the merger. The plans were laid out on a few napkins, and Carter flew back to Florida, where she talked to Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett, although skeptical, agreed to the idea.

On August 4th 2008, a meeting was held in both locker rooms to tell the plans. Anyone who didn’t want part in the new company can leave. The more people that left, the fewer releases would come.

August 5th was perhaps the biggest decision making day. Carter informed Spike TV to change the program name to a name that Carter and Silkin had thought of together: Total Nonstop Honor. A combination of the two names sure to make good and attract viewers. Now, with Ring Of Honor finally being on television in some sort, and the TNA roster being rejuvenated, talent cuts needed to be made. A press conference was to be held later that day. Carter and Silkin announced the merger in Orlando, Florida at 7:30 P.M that night. Perhaps the biggest announcement, though, was that the merger would be effective immediately. Contracts were sent out, and morale was as high as could be. Finally, a chance for both companies to succeed in the wrestling world and bring some competition back. With the WWE going PG, TNH plans to bring more attitude back into the wrestling world. Fans will finally have an alternative.

There's aspects of TNA and ROH I don't like, so hopefully the merger will concentrate on getting over the best parts of both companies. A realistic scenario, I like it, and am intruiged to see where you take this..

Predictions:
Samoa Joe vs. Bryan Danielson

Petey Williams vs. AJ Styles

Age of the Fall vs. Motor City Machine Guns

ROA Presents Impact! Live August 7th 2008

A black screen comes over, then a slow, dictating voice begins to speak...
Throughout the course of time, man has wondered this earth with no apparent path..
Everything is seemingly endless until a revolution hits…
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is the revolution…
This….is….

Ring Of Action Wrestling.

The camera comes over the Impact zone in Orlando Florida, showing fans holding up signs and yelling as the show comes on the air. A small pyrotechnics display opens up the show as we are lead over to out newcommentary team of Mike Tenay, Dave Prazak and Lenny Leonard!
Tenay: Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to the first ever edition of Ring Of Action Wrestling! My name is Mike Tenay and I will be you're play-by-play commentator alongside my newest partners, Dave Prazak and Lenny Leonard!
Prazak: Certainly a big hello to all of the ROH fans tuning in for the first time tonight and the new ROA fans! I am Dave Prazak!
Leonard: Ladies and Gentlemen it is my honor to be here in Ring Of Action Wrestling. Hopefully we bring wrestling back to the way it should be!
Tenay: But, the director of authority of TNA is in the ring. Ladies and gentlemen without further ado, Jim Cornette!

Opening Segment: Jim Cornette's state of Ring Of Action Wrestling

The fans are rabid as Cornette is smiling in the middle of the ring, holding a microphone.

Jim Cornette: Welcome to the new era of professional wrestling, welcome to Ring Of Action! My name is Jim Cornette and I will be overseeing how things go around in these parts. For over a year I served as the Director of Authority in TNA, and I plan to continue my job here in ROA! Now, I have some announcements to make. First off, I feel we need to see who will be able to float and who will be able to swim here in ROA, that is why tonight I have assigned not one but two title matches!

The crowd applauds the announcement.

Jim Cornette: Second, I made a huge main event. The self proclaimed "Best In The World" Bryan Danielson will be taking on the TNA World Champion, Samoa Joe in a non-title match! However, if Dragon is to win this match, he will receive a title shot in the near future. Just to make it known not to mess with me in these parts, since we had a bit of a problem in TNA, I am going to be enforcing stricter rules and more importa---

Before Cornette can finish his sentence, "Sweet and Sour" Larry Sweeney's music hits the P.A system. Cornette is obviously displeased as Sweeney comes down to the ring, followed by Eddie Edwards, Chris Hero, "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce, Sara Del Ray and Bobby Dempsey. Sweeney has a large smile on his face as he takes a microphone from the announcers booth and climbs in the ring, Hero, Edwards, Pearce, Del Ray and Dempsey stand ringside.

Larry Sweeney: Woah, hold on there you ham and egger! You say you were in charge of TNA, well that is fine and dandy, but I was running things in Ring Of Honor! I wasn't the general manager, but with these array of talent, ROH was essentially mine! BAHAHAH! Sweet and Sour Inc. is the future of this buisness, and you have no right to be in this ring! You are worthless, nothing more than a washed up manager looking for one last grasp at glory! Now, please, step out of my ring and let me run things the way they should be run.

Cornette glares at Sweeney as the crowd gives Sweeney a mixed reaction.

Jim Cornette: You do NOT boss me aro--

Sweeney turns, ignoring Cornette, slapping each of the SNS members hands on the outside of the ring before turning around and facing Cornette.

Larry Sweeney: Sweet and Sour Inc. is about to begin a hostile takeover, Cornette, whether you like it or not!

Jim Cornette: You listen to me you arrogant punk! I ran things and I am still in charge. No one has told me otherwise so I am the Dire-

Sweeney shakes his head.

Larry Sweeney: No one has told you otherwise? Well, hate to break it to you, Jim, but no one has told me otherwise, either! BAHAHA, as far as I am concerned, you aren't worthy of Sweet and Sour's time. This is Sweet and Sour, Baby!

"The Final Countdown" by Europe hits over the P.A as "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson comes out onto the entrance ramp to a very warm reaction. Danielson comes down to ringside, grabs a microphone and enters the ring.

Bryan Danielson: I'm not necessarily one to step into someone's business, but this has got to stop. Jim, I apologize on the behalf of Mr. Sweeney over here, he tends to get like this. See, Larry Sweeney doesn't represent what Ring Of Honor is all about. If anyone represents Ring Of Honor, it is me! Since day 1 I have been in Ring Of Honor, and I am here to listen to a real authority figure, not an arrogant, ego-inflated man like Sweeney. So I am here to tell you, Jim, that I am on you're side. Sweeney has tried pulling this crap before, and I won't have it again.

Suddenly, Sweeney gets on the microphone.

Larry Sweeney: Bah, Dragon, you have to mess just about everything up, don't ya?! Well, Sweet and Sour isn't afraid of you or grandpa here, so if you want to argue, you will have to deal with the superior ability of Chris Hero or any member of Sweet and Sour! Got it?!

Bryan Danielson: Unfortunately for you, I have a match later tonight, but you can bet that one day, that challenge will be accepted.

Cornette is enraged over in the corner. He has finally had enough.

Jim Cornette: Enough you two! I am sick of this arguing! Thank you, Bryan, for being respectful, but I am going to do something about this. Sweeney, you want to run you're mouth? Do it, just let it be known that tonight, you're little running buddy Chris Hero will be in a match.

Sweeney laughs sadistically.

Larry Sweeney: How did I know that was coming? You are too predictable, Jim! Come on, hit me with you're best shot, who is the superior athlete going to be facing?

Jim Cornette: Chris Hero will be going one-on-one with none other than...."The Monster" Abyss! Good luck, Hero, I am going to my office.

Dragon and Sweeney look at each other with hatred as Chris Hero has a small grin on his face on the outside. Sweeney leaves with the rest of Sweet and Sour up the ramp, Dragon going the other way.

-------------------------Break------------------------

" I Am" Hits the speakers as AJ Styles comes down to ringside. He slaps a few fands hands before he enters the ring and does his trademark pose.

Petey Williams entrance music hits over the P.A as Williams comes down to the ring in his old attire, not Little Petey Punk. Williams draws a lot of heat as he enters the ring and poses with the title.

X-Division Title: Petey Williams(c) Vs. AJ Styles
Beginning: The bell sounds as the two technically sound competitors circle each other in the ring. The two dive at each other and lock up before Williams quickly grabs a headlock. Styles pushes him forward into an armbar. Williams trips Styles with a drop toe hold. Williams floats over and holds A.J's head. A.J gets to a vertical base but Petey hops over and goes for a sunset flip but AJ rolls back, gets to his feet and bounces off the ropes. He comes back with an attempted dropkick but Williams rolls out of the way. While A.J is still on the ground, Williams goes for a baseball slide but AJ moves out of the way. Both men get back to their feet at a standoff.

End: Williams runs at AJ as AJ catches him in a sidewalk slam position. As Williams comes around he lands on his feet and hits a Russian Leg Sweep. Petey gets to his feet and taunts for the Canadian Destroyer. AJ gets up as Petey lands a kick to the gut of AJ Petey pushes AJ between his legs and goes for the destroyer but Styles backdrops him! Williams gets to his feet as AJ is on one knee. AJ then hits the Pele kick out of no where! AJ goes up top and hits the Spinal Tap, but Petey kicks out! AJ is in disbelief as he gets to his feet. He stalks for the Styles Clash. Petey gets to his feet as Styles takes him up, but Petey goes up and over with a sunset flip, stealing a win!

Winner and STILL X-Division Champion: Petey Williams

Post match, Williams grabs his title belt and begins to walk up the ramp. As he reaches the top of the ramp, he looks back at AJ, who is frustrated in the ring. Petey turns around and is face-to-face with Jay Lethal! Lethal eyes the X-Division title as Williams walks backstage.

We cut backstage, Crystal is with ROH World Champion Nigel McGuinness.

Crystal: Welcome to Ring Of Action, Nigel. My name is Crystal and I have a few questions I would like to ask.

Nigel
: Go right ahead, sunshine.

Crystal: Well, considering you are Ring Of Honor Champion and we are now in the ROA, how do you feel about that?

Nigel: How do I feel, eh? Well, i'll bloody tell you how I feel, I feel great. It is a travesty I am not in the main event, but that is alright.

Crystal: What are you're thoughts on the other world champion, Samoa Joe?

Nigel: I am the only real world champion around here! Samoa Joe turned his back on Ring Of Honor 1 year ago when he decided to leave ROH for TNA. If I could get my hands on that little bloody bastard I would.

Crystal: So there is obviously some bad blood..

Nigel: Absolutely. Joe should have quit ROA when he had the chance. I know a lot of guys who are disappointed in Joe. I may not like him, but I hope Danielson kicks that fat wankers head in tonight.

Crystal: So do you plan on doing anything about it/

Nigel: We'll just have to wait and see, sunshine.

Crystal: Thank you for you're time

------------------------------------Break-----------------------------------

Back from break, Jeremy Borash is in the center of the ring.

Jeremy Borash: Ladies and Gentlemen the following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, "The Monster" Abyss!

Abyss's music hits over the P.A system as "The Monster" Abyss comes down to the ring to a nice ovation. Abyss hops in the ring with his straight jacket.

Jeremy Borash: And introducing next, being accompanied to the ring by Larry Sweeney, Sara Del Ray, Eddie Edwards and Bobby Dempsey, Chris Hero!

Sweet and Sour Inc's. music hits as Chris Hero comes down to the ring with a cocky grin on his face. Hero gets to the ring, slides in the ring and waits in his corner, doing jumping jacks. Larry Sweeney enters the ring with a microphone.

Larry Sweeney: Hold on, big guy!

Abyss isn't pleased as he looks as Sweeney.

Larry Sweeney: Abyss, don't hurt me..it's ok. Why don't we make a deal? Why don't you leave Hero alone and join Sweet and Sour Inc.! I see a winner in you and a lot of money can be made on both of our parts. What do you say?

Abyss takes a step forward and snatches the microphone from Sweeney. Abyss thinks for a second before throwing the microphone down and hitting the Black Hole Slam on Sweeney! Sweeney rolls out of the ring to the outside as the bell rings.

Singles Match: Chris Hero Vs. Abyss
Beginning: Hero jumps Abyss before he can get back up from the Black Hole Slam. Abyss shoves Hero out of the way. Hero comes back with hard shots and forearms. Abyss keeps trying to shove Hero off, but his speed is too much. Hero hits a big boot to Abyss in the center of the ring, which doesn't take him down. Hero bounces off the ropes and goes for a roaring elbow, but Abyss takes him up over his head for a Gorilla Press and drops him down on his stomach!

End: Hero has isolated the big man for the past 4 minutes or so of the match when Abyss missed a big splash. Hero tries to lift Abyss but Abyss is too heavy as he falls on top of Hero for a 2 count. Abyss takes Hero up and hits the Shock Treatment for 2. Abyss begins to stalk Hero to get to his feet. As he does, Eddie Edwards hops up on the apron. Abyss sends a big boot to his skull. To the right, Sweeney is back up. Abyss takes Sweeney and throws him in the ring. From out of no where, Hero comes from behind with the roll up and the victory over the big man.
Winner: Chris Hero

Post match, all of Sweet and Sour come into the ring. They exchange moves on the monster until Sweet and Sour's arch enemy in Ring Of Honor, Brent Albright comes out with Roderick Strong for the save! Swee tnad Sour leave before Strong and Albright get down to the ring. Albright and Strong go to pick Abyss up to see if he is ok, but as they do, Abyss hits the Black Hole Slam onto Roderick! Albright runs at Abyss but is caught with a chokeslam! Abyss leaves the ring muttering something to himself, getting a mixed reaction.

Backstage Segment: Jim Cornette in office

Backstage, Jim Cornette is going through some papers and rubbing his head in annoyance. As he does, Kurt Angle comes in without knocking.

Jim Cornette: Oh great, what the hell do you want, Angle?!

Angle is livid.

Kurt Angle: What do I want?! I want to know a few things! I am a former 2 time TNA world champion and I'm not even on the freakin' card tonight?! Are you kidding me? You know I won a gold medal with a broken freaking neck in 1996, right? Is this the type of respect I have earned? Huh? Cornette, answer me damnit!

Cornette is shaking his head.

Jim Cornette: Angle, I have enough things to worry about. If you want a match so bad, go out to the ring and make an open challenge for all I care. What I need right now is peace and quiet. Now will you leave me alone?!

Angle chuckles.

Kurt Angle: Leave you alone? Are you kidding me? You disrespect me and you want me to leave you alone? Cornette, you are lower than I thought. At least 3D treats me with respect. We are all scum bags, Cornette. Remember that.

----------------------------Break-------------------------------

Kurt Angle is in the ring being accompanied at ringside by Team 3D and Johnny Devine. Angle has a microphone in hand.

Kurt Angle: According to Jim Cornette, who has no respect for me, I am another bystandard here in TNA. Well, I won't let that happen. Right now, in case any of you haven't seen me, now you will. I am issuing an open challenge to any male in the back. Awesome Kong, that doesn't include you.

Jeremny Borash: From the Outer Banks of Switzerland, weighing in at 240 pounds, Claudio Castagnoli!

Claudio Castagnoli's music comes over the arena sound system. Angle throws the microphone out of the ring as Claudio Castagnoli makes his way down to the ring. Claudio throws his arms up in the air, which elicits a "Hey!" from the crowd. Claudio removes his suit to reveal his wrestling tights. He leaves his suit on the side of the ring, but as he does, Angle jump him from behind.

Singles Match: Claudio Castagnoli Vs. Kurt Angle
Beginning: Kurt Angle takes on Claudio, applying a gut wrench. Claudio quickly reverses and goes behind with one of his own. Angle sits up into a sitting position, then grabs Claudio's arm and wrench's it down. Angle keeps control of the arm, stomping away. Claudio manages to roll through, get to his feet and hit a European Uppercut, knocking Kurt to the outside. Kurt staggers on the outside as Claudio runs and dives over the top rope, but Kurt manages to move out of the way, sending Claudio to eat the mat on the outside.

End: Kurt has maintained control for the majority of the match, working over Claudio's arm. Claudio works his way out of an armbar and gets to his feet. Claudio hits several uppercuts with his good arm, the final one knocking Kurt to the mat. Claudio backs up into the corner as Kurt gets to his feet. Claudio runs at Kurt with a Bicycle Kick, but Kurt sneaks behind and takes Claudio up for the Angle Slam! Claudio somehow managed to reverse it into an arm drag! Kurt and Claudio both wearily get to their feet as Kurt runs at Claudio, but Claudio hits an Uppercut! Kurt staggers back as Claudio hits a kick to the gut, then hits the Ricolla Bomb! Claudio covers Kurt, but Team 3D run in before Claudio can pick up the win, signaling the DQ.
Winner by DQ: Claudio Castagnoli

Johnny Devine brings a table into the ring as Team 3D takes Claudio up. They bring Angle to his feet and allow him to hit the Angle Slam through the table. Angle looks down at Claudio, laughing.

Backstage Segment: Motor City Machine Guns

Fade into the Motor City Machine Guns locker room. Chris Sabin and Alex Shelly are preparing for their Ring Of Honor World Tag Team Championship match, up next.

Chris Sabin: Hey, Alex?

Alex Shelly: Yeah?

Chris Sabin: Thinking back, we were the only guys in TNA to visit Ring Of Honor on a normal basis ever since TNA stopped most guys from going to Ring Of Honor.

Alex Shelly: Continue..

Chris Sabin: And we are getting ROH tag title shots. You see a connection here?

Alex Shelly: Obviously, just why are you bringing it up?

Chris Sabin: We never turned our backs on Ring Of Honor. Listen, what I am trying to say is that hopefully the other guys give us more respect than they are giving Joe.

Alex Shelly: Whatever..

-------Break-------

Jeremy Borash: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the ROH World Tag Team Championships! Introducing first, the team of Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black, The Age of The Fall!

The Age of The Fall come to the ring. Jacobs comes out first with a cane, holding it over his shoulder. Tons of boo's come from the crowd as Jacobs gets into the ring with a microphone.

Jimmy Jacobs: Ladies and Gentlemen, the revolution is here. No, I am not talking about the merging of TNA and ROH, I am talking about the Age Of The Fall. See, me and Tyler were social outcasts as kids. We were the ones never given a chance in society. We weren't rich, and aren't rich. We don't have glittery tights or are proud of where we came from. We aren't the best in the world, or were given a chance to compete with them. We are simply a message that is the best kept secret in wrestling, until now. Now, a national scale of people will get to witness the Age...of the Fall..

The MCMG's music comes over the P.A as they rush down to the ring and pose on the turnbuckles, ready for the title match.

Ring Of Honor World Tag Team Championship:
The Age Of The Fall [Jimmy Jacobs and Tyler Black] Vs. The Motor City Machine Guns [Chris Sabin and Alex Shelly]

Beginning: Shelly and Black start off with a Greco Roman Knuckle Lock. Black gets the advantage with his strength before Shelly pops up and hits a dropkick, sending Black flying back to his corner. Shelly makes the tag to Sabin, as he enters the ring. Sabin and Black tie up as Black sends a knee to the gut of Sabin. Tyler sends Sabin across the ropes. Tyler ducks down but Sabin hops over Tyler. Sabin bounces off the opposite side, comes back and hits a beautiful leg lariat to the head of Tyler! Tyler goes down to the mat as Sabin continues to work over Tyler. Sabin goes up top for a missile dropkick, but Tyler swipes his legs off and Sabin hits the mat hard.

End: After being isolated the better part of 10 minutes, Sabin finally manages to makes the hot tag to Shelly. Shelly comes in hot, knocking Jacobs over with a huge running boot. Tyler comes in but Shelly side steps Tyler, sending him to the outside. Shelly sets up Jacobs for the Shell Shock, but Black comes into the ring. As Black knocks Shelly over with a huge boot, Sabin comes in and clotheslines Black over the top rope! Shelly sets up for the Shell Shock, but Jacobs prevents it and hits the Contra Code(Sliced Bread #2) to pick up the victory!
Winners..and STILL ROH World Tag Team Champions: The Age Of The Fall [Tyler Black and Jimmy Jacobs]

Post match, the Latin American Exchange come out on the ramp with the TNA world tag team championship. Homicide taunts the AOTF to come after them, but AOTF exit the opposite way.

Backstage Segment: Taylor Wilde interview

Backstage, Crystal is with the TNA Knockouts Champion, Taylor Wilde

Crystal: Ladies and Gentlemen my guest at this time is the TNA Knockouts Champion, Taylor Wilde! Taylor, how are you feeling with all the commotion happening tonight?

Taylor Wilde: I feel better than ever. Life is great, for the first time in my life I am a champion. So, things couldn't be better!

Crystal: That is good to hear, but who do you plan to defend the belt against next?

Taylor Wilde: Any and all comers, as long as I feel they deserve it. I am going to be a fighting champion, and no matter what, this belt is staying with me.

Crystal: Well, thank you for you'r----

Before Crystal can finish her sentence, Taylor Wilde is jumped from behind by none other than Sweet and Sour Inc. member Sara Del Ray! Del ray kicks Wilde in the gut, then slams her head into the crate below the television monitor. Del Ray pulls Taylors hair back, then slaps her across the face! Del Ray sends a boot to the chest of Wild, then takes the Knockouts Championship belt and holds it over her head. Del Ray drops it over Wilde, screaming "It's mine!"

Jeremy Borash: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following contest is you're main event of the evening! Introducing first, "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson!

"The Final Countdown" - Europe hits over the speakers as Bryan Danielson comes out to a nice pop from the crowd. Dragon removes his rob and hops to the second turnbuckle just as "The Final Countdown's" chorus plays. Dragon steps down, awaiting Joe.

Jeremy Borash: And introducing his opponent, from the isle of Samoa, he is the TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Samoa Joe!

Joe's music hits and he doesn't waste any time coming down to the ring. Before the match starts, he grabs a microphone.

Samoa Joe: So, from what I understand, a certain champion is upset with me for leaving Ring Of Honor over a year ago.

A mixed reaction from the crowd.

Samoa Joe: Well, I have one thing to tell him. I made the ROH belt a world title, and I am doing that with the TNA belt right now. So, watch and learn, you slimy Brit!

Main Event: Non-Title:
Samoa Joe Vs. Bryan Danielson

Beginning: Joe and Danielson lock up. Joe backs Dragon into the corner and connects with stiff chops. Dragon turns him around and hits a forearm, followed by several chops. The two brawl around the ring until Dragon connects with an Arm Drag. Dragon tries to keep Joe down, at one point even hitting a Bow and Arrow. Joe manages to get out of that by falling back on Dragon for a 2.

End: Joe hits a running big boot, throwing himself in mid-air, but only gets 2. Joe takes Dragon up for the Muscle Buster, but Dragon escapes and lands on his feet. He trips Joe and locks in Cattle Mutilation! Joe manages to break free, but Dragon connects with MMA Elbows to the side of the head! The referee checks on Samoa Joe to see if he is ok, which he is. Joe, out of no where, sends his knee into the skull of Drago. Dragon bounces back as Joe gets to his feet. As Joe is about to run at Dragon, the ROH world champion Nigel McGuinness appears at the top of the ramp. Dragon turns Joe around and hits a knee to his face. Joe goes down as Bryan applies Cattle Mutilation again. Joe has no choice but to tap.
Winner: Bryan Danielson

After the match, Nigel McGuinness comes down to the ring with the ROH World Title. Nigel takes the TNA World Championship belt from ringside and brings it into the ring. He waits for Joe to get up. Joe shoves Nigel, but Nigel drops the TNA Championship on the ground! Joe is livid as he thorws Nigel into the corner and connects with the Muscle Buster! Joe takes both belts and holds them over his head as the show comes to a close.

Note: This is my first show I did not writing summaries of everything. I hope you enjoyed!

Nice opening video, short, crisp and to the point. Last company I remember announcing a revolution was ECW, so this can only be good.

Liked the Nigel interview, keeping him in character as a up himself cocky dude.

Matches:

Styles vs. Williams: Nice quick paced action to start things off for the night. Some random spots but a good opener.

Abyss vs. Chris Hero: Good match getting AByss over as a monster dominating with Hero not being able to take him down. I jsut can't see a roll up pin happening on a big guy like Abyss, but whatever, the match was a good underdog/monster match.

Angle vs. Claudo: Awesome Kong

. Anyhow, a nice technical match, and I'm sure your going somewhere with the whole 'respect' biz.

AOF vs. MCMG: I liked the Jacobs promo to introduce us into the bout. Followed by a good one at that.

Overall all your matches were nicely written for summaries. I suppose your going to write up in full for PPVs. And I like the segments, which is one thing I dislike about ROH, the lack of segments.

Best Match: Samoa Joe vs. Bryan Danielson
Worst Match: Abyss vs. Chris Hero

Best Promo:
Jimmy Jacobs'
Worst Promo: MCMG, good promo but I just can't see that sort of dialogue being used with those wrestlers.

Overall a good first show. I see some interesting storylines developing, keep it up.

Thanks so much for the feedback 3:16!

Ring Of Action News And Notes: From the Wrestling Observer. August 8th 2008

-The first edition of ROA drew an impressive 1.3 rating, which is up from the 1.1 rating TNA had been getting. With the impressive first show, I don't see how it could get any worse.

-ROA will be moving out of the Impact! Zone very shortly. It is said they will be following the circuit Ring Of Honor used to follow, eventually hoping to go into larger arenas.

-Spike TV is interested in moving ROA to a Tuesday night timeslot. More as we get it.

-The locker room was actually a very nice place. Without Nash, Booker T and the other older guys, the environment was said to be a much happier place.

-The idea behind Abyss beating down Albright and Roderick following the save from them is that Abyss is a loner and doesn't want anyone's help.

-Expect ROA to make a few announcements regarding the first PPV on September 5th, which is titled "Unified".

-It is expected that a few more releases may be on the way. Christian and Rhino missed a flight, and were unable to appear at the tapings.

Ring Of Action: Impact Preview
August 14th 2008

With a great opening edition of Impact for Ring Of Action, one can only expect yet another great show.

First off, for the first time ever, the co-owner of Ring Of Action, Dixie Carter will make an on-screen appearance! She will be opening up the show, so we know it will be big!

Also, Sweet and Sour Inc. made clear not to mess with them at the last show. Chris Hero picked up a cheap win over Abyss, and Abyss is fuming, as evidenced by the beatdown on Albright and Strong after the match. This week, Abyss will go one-on-one with Sweet and Sour Inc. member "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce, to hopefully pick up a measure of revenge.

Also, after almost being pinned by Claudio Castagnoli, Kurt Angle relied on Team 3D to help him and prevent him from getting pinned. Following the match, Claudio was put through a table following a vicious Angle Slam. Will Claudio be out for revenge, or will Angle beat him to the punch, literally?

Sara Del Ray put herself into the Knockouts title picture, making a statement over Taylor Wilde by beating her down during an interview. Taylor wants revenge, so Taylor Wilde Vs. Sara Del Ray will happen in a non-title contest! If Del Ray can pick up the win, she will have earned a title shot at Unified!

Also, with some distraction from Nigel McGuinness, Bryan Danielson was able to make the TNA World Champion Samoa Joe tap out! This week, it has been announced that Danielson will team up with McGuinness to take on Samoa Joe and a partner of his choosing in the main event!

All of this plus so much more this Thursday night on Impact!

Very good show. The promos captured the wrestlers perfectly and the summaries were nice. I'm loving the backstory and although the roster is pretty huge, I love it.

Loving your show.

Abyss def. Adam Pearce

Sara Del Ray def. Taylor Wilde
