In ring segment with Edge
Edge is backstage. I'm actually looking forward to this and you should too! He was out there to tell Triple H that he was going to discombobulate him. Great, now I've got to look that word up. Time to sit back and watch.
Jeff Hardy vs Carlito.
Match Background: None.
The Match: J. Hardy just WAFFLES Carlito with a STIFF chop that hurt ME to watch! J. Hardy just WAFFLES Carlito with a STIFF chop that hurt ME to watch! Implant DDT by Jeff Hardy! I will always and forever mark out for that move. Hard back suplex on Carlito. Come to think of it, that move had WAY too much power in No Mercy for N64. Carlito pulls a mule kick out of nowhere. Carlito slams Jeff Hardy down and motions to the crowd. Carlito hits a bulldog off the ropes. Covers for a quick two count. J. Hardy reverses a Carlito hammerlock. Carlito takes a NICE hurrancarana from Jeff Hardy. Covers for a quick two count. Back heel kick off the second rope, Carlito goes down. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! I would have bought that as the finish! Carlito comes up with a right hand out of nowhere. Carlito gets up and gives a Belly to belly suplex to Carlito. J. Hardy reverses a Carlito hammerlock. Jeff Hardy hits a rolling kick on Carlito. Konnan has ruined any chance for me ever enjoying this maneuver again with his shitty execution of it. Carlito gets knocked to the ground by J. Hardy, who is already climbing the turnbuckle. Swanton Bomb!!! 1....2....3!! It's all over.
My Opinion: Usually, this is designated for good matches that were usually way too short for some reason. What's your excuse? *3/4
Segment with Kennedy and MVP
Mr. Kennedy is in the ring. Montel Vontavious Porter comes out, and challenges him to a match at SummerSlam for the #1 contender's spot for the WWE Title. The challenge is accepted.
Jesse and Festus vs Hawkins and Ryder.
Match Background: This match is for the WWE Tag Team titles.
The Match: Ryder receives some punishment by Festus Dalton but with that horrid offense, we're the only ones truly being punished. Festus Dalton strikes Zack Ryder with a hard blow. Hooks the leg for a two count. Tag between Festus Dalton and Jesse Dalton. Festus Dalton scoops up Ryder. Jesse bounces off the ropes and hits a flying Hart Attack clothesline. Covers for a quick two count. Second rope flying axe handle, Ryder goes down. One day, Jesse might even consider coming off the top with that. You know...for more impact and stuff. Zack Ryder elbows Jesse Dalton in the face to break a hammerlock. Flying elbow off the top rope by Zack Ryder, getting as close to zero air as possible. Covers for a quick two count. Tag between Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins. Hawkins crushes Jesse with a huge legdrop. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! I would have bought that as the finish! Hawkins uses a basement dropkick to the knee and it looks like it might be TIME TO GO TO SCHOOL~! Hawkins walks into a drop toe hold. THERE IT IS! A legdrop to the BACK OF THE HEAD! I swear, that makes any match just a little bit better. I don't mind telling you that every time I see it, that's for sure. Tag to Festus Dalton. Festus strikes away at Curt Hawkins, not doing much damage at all. Hawkins tags out to Zack Ryder. Festus slams Zack Ryder down. Ryder is sure in trouble now. As Jesse and Ryder get into a brawl on the outside, Gregory Helms comes running down into the ring! Festus Dalton gets grabbed, and they start brawling. Ryder takes some shots at Festus as well. The referee, seeing the chaos, calls for a no contest ruling. We have a three-way stand off in the ring, as Jesse and Festus, Hawkins and Ryder and 3 Count look at each other. They all charge forward, and a three-way brawl erupts in the ring! This is chaos! After a few minutes of fast and furious action, a motley crew of referees and stagehands hit the ring to break it up.
My Opinion: Sadly, a 1\2* match.
Segment with Triple H
Triple H is backstage. I'm actually looking forward to this and you should too! He was on Hype Central (HYPE CENTRAL!!!) tonight, this time for a match with Edge. Can you believe that I just marked out for Lance Wright? How many people even remember that guy?
Segment with Vickie Guerrero
Vickie Guerrero is backstage, and announces that tonight we will see Edge and Triple H fight one on one. The winner of the match will get to keep their title on Smackdown!
Maria Kanellis vs Maryse Ouellet vs Victoria.
Match Background: This will be a triangle bout.
The Match: Victoria hits a right hand on Maria Kanellis and follows it up with a couple more. BORING ass brawling from Maryse. Maria Kanellis powers out of a Maryse Ouellet headlock. Maria hits a stump piledriver on Maryse Ouellet. BIG clothesline from Maria. 'BIG' because it missed by a mile! Hooks the leg for a two count. Maryse Ouellet connects with a crappy looking standing spinebuster. Does everyone use that move these days? Hooks the leg! ONE...TWO...NO! Maria kicks Maryse Ouellet in the gut to reverse the momentum. BIG clothesline from Maria. 'BIG' because it missed by a mile! Victoria DDTs Maria Kanellis. Maria Kanellis is in trouble. Black Widow! 1....2....3.
John Morrison vs Matt Hardy.
Match Background: This match is for the WWE United States title.
The Match: John Morrison strikes M. Hardy. John Morrison misses a clothesline. Morrison walks into a high dropkick from Matt Hardy, almost losing several teeth in the process. M. Hardy whips Morrison into the turnbuckles...and the ref is crushed! Diamond Dust from Matt Hardy and Morrison is out! Pinfall attempt, but the ref is out and can't count to three! Morrison blocks a kick from Matt Hardy. Morrison hits a dropkick on Matt Hardy and gets right back up. Super kick by John Morrison. Hooks the leg for a two count. Springboard dropkick from John Morrison. Nicely done. Hooks the leg! ONE...TWO...NO! Matt Hardy reverses a hip toss. Lightning kick by M. Hardy on Morrison. Cover, ONE...TWO...NO! I honestly thought that match was going to end right then and there. Matt Hardy misses a clothesline. The Miz comes running down the aisle and into the ring! Matt Hardy turns around. The Miz spins M. Hardy around. The Miz hits the Reality Check! The Miz leaves the ring, the damage done! Cover gets three for John Morrison, M. Hardy got pinned. Morrison and The Miz beat away on Matt Hardy, leaving him spread-eagled on the canvas.
My Opinion: Solid bout, but they could do a lot better. ***

Edge vs Triple H.
Match Background: Triple H is the reigning WWE champion.
The Match: Fallaway slam by Triple H puts down Edge. Big piledriver on Edge. Covers for a quick two count. Edge flips out of a Triple H bodyslam attempt. HHH takes a headbutt from Edge. Rude Awakening neckbreaker on Triple H by Edge. Remember when that was a legit finish? There's a two count on the pin. Powerbomb on HHH. Cover, ONE...TWO...NO! I honestly thought that match was going to end right then and there. Triple H charges into the corner, but EATS BOOT and staggers backward. HHH blocks the suplex attempt and is able to hit the suplex instead! Massive backbreaker on Edge and I get happy flashbacks to Bret Hart's Five Moves of DOOM. Hooks the leg for a two count. High Angle DDT by Triple H just SPIKES Edge down! Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! I would have bought that as the finish! Running knee lift from Triple H. Triple H connects with rights and lefts and Edge is down! Triple H misses a clothesline. Edge with a spinning neckbreaker on HHH. Massive lariat! Stan Hansen would approve. Triple H grabs Edge from behind and shoves him into the ropes, then scores with a roll-up...but Edge rolls through with the move! He used a pull of the tights to get HHH over! 1....2...3! The referee was out of position and didn't see it! The fight has started up again! Edge attacks HHH, and they brawl all around ringside, then into the crowd! They eventually disappear backstage, still fighting.
My Opinion: I really shouldn't drink when I'm reviewing matches. Especially with Scotsman, I can't drink nearly as much, so I try too hard. It was either ** or ****, but I guess I'll have to compromise and say ***.
