This week's scenerio: It's late March of 1996, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash have just commited to signing with WWF instead of leaving for WCW. Shawn Michaels is set to become WWF Champion in a few days at Wrestlemania which gives Bret Hart some much needed time off. However, just days before the big event, Shawn Michaels and other Kliq member Kevin Nash are hurt in a very bad car crash. Though not life or career threatening, both are out for a minimum of 9 months, Michaels likely not to return for a full year. Can the WWF survive?

The Job: Book the WWF main event scene from Wrestlemania 12 to Wrestlemania 13. You cannot use Bret Hart until October, Diesal until November, and Michaels, in a wrestling role, until Wrestlemania 13.

Rules: You may bring in one guy, but I don't advise it because this is all about working with what you have. No PPVs may be removed. At this point, 12 PPVs a year was a relatively new frontier, and Vince would not allow you to remove any. You can change the names though, as I will do.

Step One: Who are you building the Main Event around?

My Main Event Players:
The Undertaker
Owen Hart
Razor Ramon
British Bulldog
Vader
Diesal
HBK
Bret Hart

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step Two: Book Your Main Events.

Wrestlemania XII
The show opens with President Gorilla Monsoon coming out and announcing the car accident and states that Shawn Michaels will be unable to compete in the event and has to, unfortunately, give up his #1 contendership spot. He stresses that though he is still alive, his career is in serious jeopardy and he may never wrestle again. He then states that the WWF has been hard at work all weekend in determining the #1 contender for Bret Hart's title and the title will still be defended. He also stresses that Bret Hart was informed of the desicion as soon as it was made, in the intrest of fairness. During the event, announcers speculate as to who it could possibly be. They constantly state that the Undertaker is without an opponent as well, due to the car crash which also involved Diesal, and he seems the most likely candidate for the title. It is also worthy to note that earlier in the night, Owen Hart walked out on Camp Cornette during their match. Now, the time for the main event has come and after Bret Hart's entrance, Monsoon makes his way out and states that in his mind, there is only one man who can give the fans the show they deserve. He hints heavily at the Undertaker, but then says that he had his chance at the Royal Rumble and he's not getting another. He says the man was close to taking the spot off Michaels at In Your House, he is a man who Bret knows very, very well, and most importantly, he is a man who has changed. That man is none other than Bret's own brother, Owen.

Main Event: Bret Hart(c) vs. Owen Hart, for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. Iron Man rules do NOT apply.
I chose Owen because though they have met in the ring several times before, they have great chemistry, the story is there, and Owen has the chance to work as a face against his face brother. The match is as expected. Respectfully mostly, and it goes about 30 minutes and ends when Owen hits Bret with a springboard dropkick and quick, unexpected cover.

Owen Hart over Bret Hart via pin to become the new WWF World Heavyweight Champion.
After the match is over, Bret goes to the outside of the ring and grabs the belt. He hands the belt to his brother and the two tearfully embrace. Bret gets on the mic and he says that his time as the best Hart is over and he refers to Owen as the "heir to the Hart throne". He then hands the mic to Owen. Owen says that he didn't expect this and cuts a very emotional promo about the family and respect and honor and all that mularky. He then smirks, and says that he does agree with Bret. He IS the best Hart. And just like that, he turns back heel and whacks Bret with the title. The fans go crazy with boos and Owen leaves the ring, champion.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

In Your House: Heir to the Throne
The night after Wrestlemania, Owen Hart comes out and says that Bret is now gone from the WWF and with "those two cripples" out, no one can even compete for the title. He says he may be in a big pond, but he's a huge fish and no one is a threat. The lights then cut out and the Undertaker emerges from the back. In Undertaker slang, he says that Owen's shot last night belonged to him and there's no way he's gonna last as champion. He demands a title shot for tonight. Owen accepts and the match is set for the ME. The match ends with Owen hitting 'Taker with the belt behind the ref's back and winning. When Owen is celebrating, walking backwards into the set up, he is attacked from behind by, the only active Kliq member which should be noted, the returning Razor Ramon. The following week, Ramon cuts a promo about how the bad guy is back and at In Your House, he's taking the title from Owen. This brings out last weeks' challenger, The Undertaker, who thinks that Ramon has done nothing to earn a shot and that if anyone's getting a shot, it's him, as he was scewed the previous week. The two go back and forth, till Owen comes to the ring and says neither one of them are getting a title shot. Razor has earned nothing and he beat Taker last week. The three bicker back and fourth, then the following week, Gorilla Monsoon announces that the #1 contender for the title will be determined at In Your House: Heir to the Throne in a match between The Undertaker and Razor Ramon. However, Owen Hart is not forgetten as he will be taking on the recently face turned British Bulldog in the WWF Title match of the night. Note: Bulldog turned face after being fed up with Jim Cornette, who has left the WWF for WCW(see my previous Rebooking History). The feuds are feulded through interviews over the next two weeks.

Main Event: Owen Hart(c) vs. the British Bulldog for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship
Semi-Main Event: Razor Ramon vs. The Undertaker for the #1 contendership.
In the Ramon/Taker match, the two go all out. Each reverse eachother's finisher, several near falls, both men are extremely tired when Ramon uses all his strength to muster out a Razor's Edge. However, he sends 'Taker to the outside of the ring and falls flat on his face himself. The ref counts 'Taker out and Razor is awarded the #1 contender's spot. Moving to the Main Event, after an extremely hard fought battle by the Bulldog, he can't quite over come Hart and he is forced to tap when Owen locks in the Sharpshooter.

Owen Hart retains over British Bulldog via submission
Razor Ramon over The Undertaker via countout

----------------------------------------------------------------------

In Your House: Camp Explosion!
The night after Heir to the Throne, Razor Ramon opens the show in the ring. He says that he's the #1 contender, but when he beats Owen Hart or whoever the champion is, he wants to know that he is the best man who could take it from him. He then calls out the Undertaker and challenges him to a rematch. 'Taker obviously accepts and the match is made for the next In Your House. Later on in the show, Bulldog and Owen are having another confrontation. Bulldog says that Owen got lucky when he locked in the Sharpshooter. Bulldog then says he wants another match, but just as Owen is about the respond, they are interupted by Vader! He runs out and attacks Bulldog intially and as he goes after Owen, Owen gets out of the way and scoots out of the ring. The following week, Vader debuts his new manager, Ted Dibiasi. Dibiasi states that he has the monster under control and that he's next in line for a shot at the Title. He talks about Bulldog as well and a triple threat match is hinted at. That Triple Match is booked for the next In Your House in what's being called the explosion of Camp Cornette. The three men face off in singles matches against each other over the next weeks, and 'Taker and Ramon, though they respect eachother, take eachother out on consecutive nights, until, the week before the PPV, Monsoon informs them that if they touch eachother before the bell rings on their match, they will both never get a shot while Owen is champion.

Main Event: Owen Hart (c) vs. Vader vs. British Buldog for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship
Semi-Main Event: Razor Ramon vs. the Undertaker II for the #1 contendership.

The Ramon/'Taker match goes back and fourth nearly the entire time. The match is better than their first, this time both kick out of eachother's finishers, though both semi-early in the match so the moves don't look weak. After Taker's irish whips Ramon into the ropes, about 20 minutes in, Razor counters and hits a closeline on 'Taker, sending him outside the ring. Because of the wear and tear, Ramon is down as well. History looks to be repeating itself when the ref gets to 9, until Ramon uses all his strength and flings himself outside the ring, breaking the count. Once they got in the ring, after fightong for a couple minutes, 'Taker hit a tombstone piledriver, finishing the match and giving Taker a title shot. In the main event, all three men go at it with eachother, most of the time, with all three fighting, not just different 1 one 1 fights. However, about 15 minutes in, Owen is tossed to the outside and it leaves just Bulldog and Vader. After a minutes or so, Vader gains the advantage and sets up a Vaderbomb to finish him off. He hits the huge Powerbomb and Hart rushes back into the ring. He runs, and springboards back off the ropes and hits the dropkick that he beat his brother with at Wrestlemania. This makes Vader fall to the floor outside the ring and Owen quickly covers Bulldog, who's still down from the Vaderbomb.

Owen Hart retains over Vader and British Bulldog and Vader via pin on Bulldog.

Undertaker over Razor Ramon via pin.
In the PPV Postshow, Gorilla Monsoon announces that The Undertaker is the #1 contender and will get his shot at the title, but it will be at King of the Ring, not In Your House, because a match of that magnitude must be at one of their grandest stages. However, the two will have a chance to get their hands on eachother next month, when they will have their choice for tag team partners and will face eachother in a Tag Team main event.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

In Your House: Tag Warfare
The RAW following Camp Explosion, the show opens with Owen Hart talking about how no matter what the Undertaker tries, he's not afraid. He's beaten bigger and badder and the Undertaker means nothing to him. And he certainly not afraid of whoever he wants to tag with. Just as Owen is about to say something else, the lights in the arena begin to flicker and Owen looks shook. He sets the mic down and begins to walk back up the ramp. Mind games like this take place throughout the night whenever Owen's around. 'Taker never makes an apperence though. Then, at the end of the night, Owen is in the ring and says he's tired of playing games and calls out 'Taker. The lights go out and when they come back on, 'Taker is in the ring and takes Owen down with a quick right hand, but before it gets and worse, Owen scoots out of the ring. The show fades with Taker rolling his eyes in the back of his head. The next week, Owen is in the ring again and says that he's still not afraid. This brings out the Undertaker yet again. He walks slowly down to the ring and Owen gets in his face. Owen claims he has his partner and 'Taker'll find out by the end of the night who it is. The end of the night comes and the main event is The Undertaker vs. Mankind. The match is barely underway when from the back comes the Million Dollar Man and his monster, Vader. Vader decimates 'Taker, which brings out Owen Hart who shakes hands with Ted Dibiasi, and says he's bought the best tag team partner money can buy. Owen orders Vader to hit a Vaderbomb but before he can, Razor Ramon comes from the back with a chair and clears the ring. Next week, Razor says that he may not be #1 contender, but he still wants the belt off Owen and 'Taker wants to get it, he needs back up. He says he wants to be 'Taker's partner. Taker comes out and gets on one knee and does that Taker kneel thing he always does, accepting.

Main Event: Undertaker and Razor Ramon vs. Owen Hart and Vader
First, let me say that I know that both teams faced eachother at the last PPV, but Vader is like a hired gun, controlled by his manager, and Razor and 'Taker have mutual respect. Anyway, in this match, Owen doesn't get in the ring much. He mainly just let's Vader do all the work. That is, until Owen get frustrated with Vader for getting somewhat hurt. He goes to the outside of the ring and yells at Dibiasi and the two get in a confrontation, with Owen slapping Ted across the face. Ted instructs Vader to leave the ring, which he does, but not before getting in a few more shots on the Undertaker, including a huge lariet. Razor manages to tag himself in and it's him and Owen in the ring, both pretty fresh. They wrestle back and fourth, then Razor gets a pretty big advantage. He goes for a Razor's Edge, but Owen slides off his back and takes him out at the legs. He locks in the Sharpshooter. Razor is close to tapping until 'Taker runs in and boots Owen in the head. This stuns Owen, giving 'Taker time to drag Razor over and get the tag in. He looks down at Owen and the two go fist to fist. After awhile, Owen runs and goes for a crossbody but Taker catches and turns it into a Tombstone. He covers and wins the match.

Undertaker and Razor Ramon over Owen Hart and Vader via pin, when 'Taker covers Owen.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

King of the Ring
Over the following weeks, Owen claims that 'Taker's victory over him was a fluke. This feud is mainly just built up through promos and Taker mind games. Also, Razor Ramon announces that he will enter the KOTR tournament. He tears his way all the way to the finals, where he will face Intercontinental Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin. Nothing else really happens worth note, just building mostly.

Main Event: Owen Hart(c) vs. The Undertaker for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship
Tourney Finals: Razor Ramon vs. Steve Austin, winner recieves title shot at Summerslam.

In the Tourney Final, throughout most of the match, Austin seems the sure winner, but he surprised with a Fall Away slam in the late goings of the match. This sets up a Razor's Edge followed up by pin and win. Razor Ramon will face whoever the champion happens to be at Summerslam. In the Main Event, the two are pretty evenly matched, with 'Taker often overpoweing Owen and Owen often being able to use his speed to an advantage. However, about 18 minutes in, Owen makes a near-fatal mistake when he goes for a crossbody. 'Taker, again, catches him, but Owen uses his momemtum against him and turns 'Taker's tombstone into one of his own. He drills 'Taker down to the mat and covers for a two count. Owen can't beleive it and is even more shocked when 'Taker sits up. 'Taker gets up and grabs the stunned Hart by the throat and lifts him up for a chokeslam. Owen, however, manages to reverse it into a Crucifix and rolls 'Taker up for the 3 count.

Owen Hart retains over Undertaker via rollup pin.
Razor Ramon over Steve Austin for a title shot at Summerslam.

When the event is over, Gorillia Monsoon announces that the Main Event for the next In Your House PPV will be a double one, in which Razor Ramon and Owen Hart will handpick eachother's oppenents.

In Your House: Pick Your Poison
At RAW, Ramon and Owen are at eachother's throats. Nearly coming to blows, until Gorilla Monsoon emerges and tells them that if they touch eachother before Summerslam, Owen will be stripped of the title and Razor will not get another shot for 2 years. This leads to verbal attacks over the next week. Then, on the third week, Monsoon says they must announce who they have chosen for eachother to face at In Your House. As soon as this is made, Razor Ramon comes out and says that he made is decision and Owen Hart will face the British Bulldog at In Your House. The whole show goes by and Owen still has yet to reveal who he's chosen. Then finally at the end of the show, he calls out Razor and says that though he may have bulldog on his side, Owen Hart has requested the services of a psycho. He says that after Pick Your Poison, he won't even make it to Summerslam. Razor says that with all his talk, he still hasn't said who it is, but he can't finish when he's attacked from behind by his oppenent at In Your House, Sycho Sid!(I know he wasn't mentioned, but what's booking without some surprises.) With the two Main Events set, the main event on the last RAW is Sid vs. British Bulldog. The two can go blow for blow, but in the end Sid hits the powerbomb and pins Bulldog for the three count. He continues the attack and when Razor comes out, he gets a Big Boot and powerbomb as well. Owen comes out and the two raise hands over the fallen offense.

Co-Main Event: Owen Hart vs. British Bulldog
Co-Main Event: Razor Ramon vs. Sycho Sid

In the first of the two, Razor takes a pretty bad beating. After about 10 minutes, he is busted open and it looks bad. It appears over when 12 minutes in, Sid hits a Powerbomb. But at the last milisecond, Razor manages to get his shoulder up. Sid just gives a sick smile and picks Razor up for another Powerbomb, however, this backfires when Razor reverses it into a face buster. After this, Razor mounts a huge comeback and ends up getting Sid up for a Razor's Edge for the victory. Then, in the final match, after a very evenly matched contest, with Bulldog clearly realizing the mistakes he made in their previous meetings, he goes for a running powerslam, but Owen slips back and pushes Bulldog into the ref. This buys Owen enough time to run out and grab the title belt. With the ref blatantly looking, he whacks Davey Boy with it and is disqualified.

British Bulldog over Owen Hart via DQ when Owen used the belt as a weapon
Razor Ramon over Sid via pin

Summerslam

The next night, Owen says that he's smart and that he got out of his match as soon as he could, and even though Razor managed a win, he still got the beating of his life and would be no competition at Summerslam. On the undercard, Austin has been complaining about not getting a chance to shine and demands a high profile match and receieves one against Owen Hart. The two are both playing heels, and the match ends with Owen using his belt to get him DQed again. The next week, Gorilla Monsoon announces two things. Number one being that after the Summerslam PPV, he will stepping down as President of WWF. However, for his final act, he says that Owen Hart will not be allowed to DQ himself at Summerslam to retain the title. Not because it'll lose him the title, but because it'll hanging 30 feet in the air, because the title match at Summerslam will be a Ladder Match!!! This is meant with praise from Ladder Match pioneer Razor Ramon, but with distain from Owen Hart.

Main Event: Razor Ramon vs. Owen Hart(c) in a ladder match for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship
This match is a classic. It includes some great spots, but is also a great wrestling match. At different points in the match, both men would have lost in a regular match, with Razor tapping to the Sharpshooter and Owen falling victim to a Razor's Edge. After 20 minutes, Razor can't get Owen up for another Razor's Edge because his legs have been worked on so much, so instead throws Owen to the outside of the ring with a Fall Away Slam. He slowly then climbs the ladder, barely making it because of his legs, as he had fallen off several times already because of the injuries, and retrieves the belt, becoming the NEW WWF World Heavyweight Champion!

Razor Ramon over Owen Hart by grabbing the belt to become the new WWF World Heavyweight Champion
After the event is over, Gorilla Monsoon comes out and congradulates Ramon on his victory. He then says that he lied about that match being his final act. He then says that immediatly following this announcement, he will step down as President. He says that he can't simply leave the WWF without a President. The new president of the WWF is

Shawn Michaels!! HBK comes out, confined to a wheel chair and Ramon walks up the ramp and the two hug and walk to the back, celebrating his victory.

In Your House: New Set of Laws
Following the shocking announcement of his return as president, The Heartbreak Kid opens the following night's show in the ring. He says that after his car crash in March, he may never be able to wrestle again. He said waking up every day and realizing that he may not be able to be in the business he loves anymore was the hardest thing in the world for him. But, there's always a silver lining and when Gorilla Monsoon approached him about the President's job, he jumped, while not actually because of his present condition, but he took it as quick as possible. He says he doesn't know if he can ever wrestle again, but you can be sure to see him on your TV screen every week. Then, Owen Hart and his new bodyguard Sid come out, he complains about Gorilla's mistakes and says that he deserves another match, because there's no way Razor can beat him one on one. Michaels said that he doesn't deserve anything and with him in charge, no one does, but as far as he can see it, there's two men who aren't tied up at the moment who are next in line for a title shot. One is infact, Owen Hart. The other, however, is his bodyguard Sid. He says that the two will face eachother in the Main Event tonight and the winner will get their title shot at In Your House. And if he feels either one didn't put up a good enough fight, they're both suspended. The two are very angry at this, but have no choice. The Main Event ends with Sid going for a chokeslam, but getting kicked in the gut by Owen, who then hits the Springboard Dropkick on Sid and then covers for the win. With the no touching rule being lifted after Monsoon stepped down, over the next weeks, Owen does everything he can to get an unfair advantage on Razor, but they are faltered by friends of Ramon, Bulldog and 'Taker, and at a later point, Razor himself. However, at one point, he does manage to make Razor tap to the sharpshooter. Going into the PPV, the two are ready to tear eachother apart, and to make things fair, President Michaels bans 'Taker, Bulldog, and Sid from the ring. He also claims he has an announcement to make after the show concludes.

Main Event: Razor Ramon(c) vs. Owen Hart for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship
This is a very technical match, with lots of mat wrestling. However, about midway through, Owen begins using fists and brawling, causing Ramon to do the same. Then, realizing that he can't out wrestle or out strike the Bad Guy, he uses his speed to an advantage and begins to pull out ahead. Owen looks ready to put Razor away when he hits a tombstone piledriver, however, instead of going for the pin, he waits for Razor to get up and goes for a springboard crossbody, but instead dives right into a desperation Fall Away slam. Razor covers, but only gets a two count, but he has taken the momentum away from Owen. The two slowly get up, and again begin to trade blows. Owen hits him a couple more punches, then runs to the ropes and springboards off looking for the dropkick, but Razor moves, Owen lands in his feet, but is kneed in the stomach by Razor, who lifts him up into a crucifix on his shoulders and falls completing the Razor's Edge and then covers, for the three count.

Razor Ramon retains over Owen Hart via pin
In the post show, Shawn Michaels says that after officially working out the details, returning to the WWF tommorow night on RAW is none other than Bret "The Hitman" Hart!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

In Your House: The Best There Is...
The night following New Set of Laws, President Michaels announces that before the night is over, Bret Hart will speak for the first time since losing his title at Wrestlemania 12. He also announces that over the next three weeks, a new #1 contender will be announced made after a series of matches. The wrestler who he personally thinks performed the best in his matches will be granted a title shot. He says the first of these matches will take place tonight when The Undertaker takes on Vader, and Sid will take on British Bulldog. In the first ME, Taker pins Vader after a hard fought battle on both sides. Vader nearly won the match, but his momentum was lost when he missed the Vadersault. Vader went apeshit after the match was over, destroying everything in his path, 'Taker narrowly escapes. In the other ME, Bulldog pins Sid after a running powerslam that Sid fell into. Owen Hart comes out after that match is over. He screams about not being in the series of matches or being in contention for the #1 contendership. He calls out Shawn Michaels. Instead of Shawn Michaels, he gets his brother, Bret Hart! The crowd goes crazy for the Hitman and he grabs a mic as soon as he gets in the ring. He says that he will never forgive Owen for what he did at Wrestlemania and that after that PPV, he contemplated retiring for a long time. But then something happened that changed his mind. Owen thought he was the best around. He claims that he was now back to prove to his younger brother that Bret Hart is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be! And he's gonna prove it to him at In Your House, when he faces his brother one on one. He also says that Razor Ramon or whoever the champion may be come Survivor Series better watch out, cause the Hitman is coming. Before Owen can talk, Bret walks out, and the show ends. Over the next weeks, Owen and Bret go back and fourth, and Vader is named #1 contender after winning two more matches, and costing Taker one of his. Vader then lays Ramon out and says he's the next WWF Champion, well, Ted Dibiasi says that at least.

Main Event: Razor Ramon(c) vs. Vader w/Ted Dibiasi for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship
Semi Main Event: Owen Hart vs. Bret Hart

In the Hart match, Owen works the flying style he has over Bret when Bret edges him out technically, but the match ends in draw when the 20 minutes time limit runs out. Bret almost finished the match, but time just ran out. In the ME, Vader looks to be the next Champion and is ready to hit the Vader bomb, but is distracted when the ring fills with smoke. This allows Ramon to gain some momentum and after trying several times, and failing, to execute the Razor's Edge, he finally hits it from the corner, letting Vader fall with him to the ground and pins to secure the victory.

Razor Ramon retains over Vader via pin
Bret Hart draws Owen Hart in a time limit draw.

When the match is over, backstage, President Michaels announces that the Main Event for Surivivor Series will not feature a World Title Match, but will instead see Razor Ramon and Bret Hart captain a team of 4 to take on an Owen Hart team of 4 in an elimination match.

Survivior Series
The following night, the show opens with Shawn Michaels saying that Bret and Razor must find 2 more members or their team and Owen must find three before the PPV. Owen comes out and says that the first member of his team is his bodyguard, Sid. Michaels says that if there's two members of each team, why not have a tag match. The main event is set t be Bret Hart and Razor Ramon vs. Owen Hart and Sid. When the match gets under way, Razor takes most of the punishment and can't get Bret in. That is, until after being tired of being isolated, Bret snaps and grabs a chair from the outside of the ring. He nails the ref first and the bell is immediatly rung. He then clears the ring of Sid and Owen. Once Ramon gets up, he turns and helps him up, which is only followed by a chair shot to him. The show then cuts with Bret standing over a fallen Ramon with his head hung looking down at him. The show next week with Bret in the ring with a mic. He says he's gonna explain his actions from last week. He says that he's not gonna be pushed around any more. He says there's a group of guys backstage who are only looking out for themselves and their friends, he says it's Razor Ramon and the newly crowned face IC Champion, Hunter Hearst Helmsley. he then says that the worst of them all if the President of the WWF Shawn Michaels and he won't stand for it anymore. He calls out his brother Owen. He tells Owen that he may not agree with everything he's done in the past, but he knows that Owen has fell victim to the Kliq too. He then says that come Survivor Series, he won't be teaming with Razor Ramon, he's teaming with his brother, Owen, and the Kliq can find their owen team. Later on in the show, HBK and Razor say that the Harts don't know what their messing with when they rattle the Kliq's cage. Michaels says he will back whatever team Razor brings into Survivior Series down to the ring. Razor announces his first teammate as Hunter Hearst Helmsley. The next week, Bret, Owen, and Sid said they have their final member. This brings out Chris Candido(Note: I realize this may seem like some strange booking, but everything that isn't explained during this will be explained at the end, I promise. I'll just say that Chris Candido had real life problems with the Kliq and is using a no gimmick needed type gimmick since splitting with Zip.) Candido claims he's been the #1 contender for the IC Title for months, but because of the Kliq's power in the President's office, Hunter caught the title shot first. He then says that the Kliq can't dodge him anymore now that he has his time to shine in the Main Event. That same night, Razor Ramon recruits the Undertaker for his team. The week before Survivor Series, the two teams meet in the ring. Team Hart, Bret, Owen, Sid, and Candido, and Team Ramom, Ramon, Hunter, 'Taker, and Shawn Michaels. Bret makes a comment about how he doesn't know how they plan on winning with only three guys on their team, cause he doesn't know how Michaels is gonna wrestle while in a wheelchair. Michaels smiles at Bret and says that he never planned on wrestling at Survivor Series. He tells him he should have never messed with the Kliq and now he's gonna pay the price. He tells Bret to turn around and he gets nailed in the face by a big boot when the final member of Razor Ramon's team if s revealed as none other than Diesal! Hunter, 'Taker, Ramon, and Diesal clear the ring of Team Hart and raise their hands in the middle of the ring.

Main Event: Team Hart (Bret and Owen Hart, Sid, and Chris Candido) vs. Team Kliq (Razor Ramon, Undertaker ,Hunter Hearst Helmsley, and Diesal, accompanied by Shawn Michaels)
The match starts off quick, lots of brawling, truely capturing the hate the two factions have against each other. The first person eliminated is Hunter, when Candido pins him. After that, sides are made even when Sid is eliminated by Diesal. Razor hits a Razor's Edge on a battered Candido to eliminate him. So it's down to the Hart Brothers vs. 'Taker, Diesal and Razor. With Razor in the ring against Owen, 'Taker is standing on the apron when he is attacked by Vader! Vader beats the hell out of 'Taker, ramming him into the corner post before being taken out by security. 'Taker, however, is hurt bad and forced out of the match. Owen is then eliminated, but not before he scores a Piledriver on Diesal that allows him to be eliminated by Bret. The final two are Bret and Razor and after a pretty long fight, Bret ends up hitting Razor with a closed fist and scores a roll up and a victory for Team Hart.

Team Hart over Team Kliq, when Bret rolls up WWF Champion, Razor Ramon.

The Magic Rat is the European Champion
In Your House: Roadblock
After Survivor Series, Bret Hart is sure he is the Number 1 contender and makes no doubt of this. He states openly on the RAW after SS that he will take out Razor and take back his title at In Your House. Being that HBK is not at the show, this goes unchallenged. Until the following week when Bret is in Razor's face about taking the title from him until HBK wheels himself from the back and says that Bret isn't getting a title shot until he's earned one. Bret says that he pinned the champion and Michaels says that meant nothing because of the circumstances. Bret calls bull and says it's just Kliq games again. HBK says he's tired of Bret's bitching and at In Your House, he's gonna have to prove his worth against fellow Kliq member Diesel! Bret says it's not fair and whines some more but says it's just a detour and he's still gonna win the title at Royal Rumble. Bret and Diesel attack eachother in the following weeks and such. HBK announces that at In Your House, Razor Ramon will still have to defend his title, friend or not. He does say that he can choose his own oppenent. Razor says that he doesn't care what Vader has to think about, and he wants The Undertaker for a rubber match. He says he wants to know he can beat him. HBK books the match and says that if Vader interferes, then he will be fired. That's basically all that needs to be done.

Main Event: Razor Ramon(c) vs. Undertaker III for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship
Semi-Main Event: Bret Hart vs. Diesel

The first of the two, Hart/Diesel, goes about 13 minutes. Diesel tries to use the power game on Bret, but Bret manages to outsmart Diesel and makes him tap to the Sharpshooter after a Piledriver. Diesel is very angered afterward. In the Main Event, the two play off their previous two matches and though they've respected eachother alot, there seems to be alot of anger and frustration between them. In the end, Razor hits the Razor's Edge and pins 'Taker after about 24 minutes. The two stare down a bit before shaking hands when the match is over.

Razor Ramon retains over Undertaker via pin
Bret Hart over Diesel via submission

When the ME is over, Bret Hart is shown backstage. He says that the whole thing is touching and he would go down and beat the hell out of both of them, but he knows Michaels will do anything to get his title shot taken away, so he doesn't. He also says he's taking his title back at Royal Rumble. Cut to President Michael's office where HBK states that is Bret really wants Razor and 'Taker, he'll get his chance. Cause he's facing Razor at Royal Rumble and tommorrow night on RAW, he's got the Undertaker!

----------------------------------------------------

Royal Rumble
The following night, with the Main Event set already, HBK announces that if 'Taker can beat Hart tonight, he will get the number 30 entry in the upcoming Royal Rumble. Bret complains openly, but not directly to Michaels, knowing it can only hurt him. Michaels catches wind of these complaints and makes the match no DQ. Bret again goes crazy. In the actual match, 'Taker is about to finish off Bret, but is taken out by Vader, who hasn't been seen since the night after Survivor Series when he was bloodied and beaten worse than he had ever been. Vader hits two huge Vaderbombs on the Deadman and then covers him with Bret. The ref counts to three. Taker's out of the Rumble. The following weeks, Bret talks about reclaiming the glory of the Title it hasn't had since his brother, Owen, lost it. At one point, Bret is hit with a Razor's Edge and at one point, Razor is piledriven on the cement outside the ring. Also, The Undertaker vows to destroy Vader once and for all, but Vader's manager, Ted Dibiasi claims that Vader is more of a monster now than he ever has been and he claims 'Taker is no match for him. The match is set for Royal Rumble. Also, in the Royal Rumble Match itself, favorites to win include Owen Hart, Diesel, Steve Austin, Hunter Hearst Helmsley, Davey Boy Smith etc...

Main Event: Razor Ramon (c) vs. Bret Hart for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship
Royal Rumble Match
Semi-Main Event: Vader vs. Undertaker

In the first big match of the night, Vader and 'Taker go all out on eachother. In the end, however, Vader's brute force is far too much for the Undertaker at this point, and after a huge Vadersault, 'Taker is down for the count and very hurt. In the Royal Rumble Match itself, the final three are Owen Hart who entered at number 13, Diesel(27), and Steve Austin. The three battle, and Owen hits a low blow of Austin and throws him out of the ring. Austin needs to be restrained outside while Diesel and Owen battle it out, but Austin breaks free and gets back in the ring and stuns Owen, who had gained an advantage on Big Daddy Cool. Diesel slowly recovers and see Owen out, he picks him up, but Owen fights him off slowly. They end up on the apron, with Diesel going for a big boot to knock Owen out, but Owen ducks and Diesel winds up on the apron himself. Looking for the win, Owen springboards off the near ropes and goes for a dropkick, but Diesel moves and Owen catches himself on the ropes. Diesel then picks Owen up and throws him over the ropes for the win. The Kliq come out to celebrate with Diesel. With Razor already in the ring, Bret comes out and says he wants the match right now and he wants the Kliq nowhere near the ring. Razor tells them all to leave. They all exchange words with Hart on the way out, but HBK makes sure that HHH and Diesel don't attack. This match is surprisingly technical for the most part. After about 15 minutes, Hart slaps Razor across the face and the match changes to a brawl. In the end, both men battered, Bret locks in the Sharpshooter and Razor has no choice but to tap out.

The Magic Rat is the European Champion
In Your House: Precursor
The following night, Vader is going berserk. He tears apart three jobbers in a handicap match and Ted Dibiasi claims that Diesal has earned nothing until he's beaten his monster. He claims that he ended the Undertaker's career and he's the rightful #1 contender and Diesel would have never won if Vader was participating in the Rumble. HBK comes out and says that he's gonna face Diesel, but it's next week, as Diesel deserves the right to prepare. Diesel says he's not scared of Vader and such. Meanwhile, Bret Hart is gloating and celebrating his victory and he says he's beat out the games of the Kliq this time and no one can do anything about it. Then, come the next week, before the bell rings on the ME, the lights go out and when the come back on, a casket is in the aisle way. Vader looks at it in shock and is visibly both angry and shook. About 5 minutes in, the casket door is opened and the Undertaker emerges from it. Vader tries to attack, but 'Taker no sells and ends up taking Vader down. The match is called a no contest and 'Taker leaves with Dibiasi. The following week, Diesel and Bret finally meet in the ring and before it can come to blows, HBK announces that the Main Event for the next IYH will be Diesel and a partner of his choosing taking on Bret Hart and a partner of his choosing. Over the next week, Bret chooses his brother, Owen and Diesel chooses the man Owen has had recent problems with since he claims he cost him the Royal Rumble, Steve Austin. Also, HBK books a casket match between 'Taker and Vader, with Dibiasi still missing after being taken by Undertaker.

Main Event: Diesel and Steve Austin vs. Bret and Owen Hart
Semi-Main Event: Vader vs. Undertaker in a casket match

In the casket match, Vader puts on a good fight, but nothing he does works on 'Taker after a few seconds. In the end, Vader Vaderbombs 'Taker into the casket, but before he can shut it, 'Taker grabs him by the throat and gets up and tosses him in, for the win. In the ME, it's basically just a normal tag. Diesel and Bret don't get much one on one and it mostly Owen and Diesel. The pin is made when Diesel pins Owen after a jack knife powerbomb.

Diesel and Steve Austin over Bret and Owen Hart via pin, when Diesel pins Owen
Undertaker over Vader via shutting the casket on him

When the actual show is over, 'Taker meets Diesel backstage. The two stare eachother down and 'Taker makes sure to note that they still have unfinished business and to also note that he was not in the Royal Rumble. Diesel doesn't respond.

-----------------------------------------------------------

Wrestlemania 13
With Wrestlemania now less than 5 weeks away, the time to sign the contract is here. Diesel and Bret Hart meet in the ring. The two exchange words, but then, just before Diesel signs, The Undertaker comes out. He says that Diesel can't claim to be world champion without beating him, or facing him, neither of which has he ever done. This angers Diesel. Diesel goes to attack 'Taker for these comments, but is calmed by HBK who says that if he attacks, he'll lose his title shot. While this is going on, Bret sits with a smirk on his face, sensing it won't end well. Diesel calms himself down and again goes to sign the contract. 'Taker again claims that he better think hard. Is he really a rightful #1 contender? Diesel stands and pushes Michaels' chair out of the way. He gets in 'Taker's face and says that if 'Taker doesn't beleive he's the #1 contender he should prove it and beat him. 'Taker says he wants him at Wrestlemania, when he was suppose to face him last year. Michaels cuts in and says that Diesel would never give up his title shot. Diesel tells Shawn not to talk for him and in a move that shocks nearly everyone in the crowd, hits 'Taker in the mouth with a big boot. He tells 'Taker that it's on, and he'll beat Hart after Wrestlemania whenever he wants to. This makes Hart almost gitty and he scoots out of the ring with his belt in hand before Diesel can get him. HBK looks up at Diesel in disgust as the show cuts. HBK opens the next week stating that he doesn't have a #1 contender, but Bret is NOT getting out without a title shot. He says he'll have one before the night is over. Finally, at the end of the show, he calls Bret out and has the half signed contract in hand. He says that he's found his #1 contender and the man who will take the title off of Bret. He says that it's a man Bret has a history with. A man who is a former Royal Rumble winner. A man who has NEVER held the WWF Championship. And most importantly, a man who is coming out of retirement!!! At that, Bret looks almost sick, when suddenly, HBK hops out of his wheelchair and superkicks the Hitman directly in the chin. Finally, he says it's a man who had his title shot stolen from him by a car accident, and the #1 contender for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship is himself, Shawn Michaels!!!! Basically, the next few weeks book themselves, with Diesel angered at the blow to his ego 'Taker promises to deliver. And Bret doing everything he can to get back at HBK. Bret says that he knows that HBK isn't fully healed and if he's really a man, he'll face him in the match that was suppose to happen last year, a 60 minute Iron Man match. Despite not wrestling for an entire year, HBK accepts these stips and the match is set.

Main Event: Bret Hart(c) vs. Shawn Michaels in a 60 Minute Iron Man Match for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship
Semi-Main Event: Undertaker vs. Diesel for the #1 contendership for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship

--------------------------------------------------------

Results/aftermath/notable happenings not already mentioned throughout the year coming very soon, though it seems no one really cares about this anymore.

I gotta admit, after a strong start, I think this has really slipped from Survivor Series and on. Just some of my issues:

Diesel giving up a title shot at Wrestlemania to face The Undertaker? It just doesn't seem realistic

Shawn Michaels may of been the number 1 contender before the accident, but how can he be in the main event of WM when he hasn't wrestled in a full year? Where's Owen, Bulldog, Razor, Austin, Sid, Vader, or others? Or what about the man that seemingly just disappeared, Mankind?

I haven't really enjoyed The Undertaker's booking the entire time. It seemed like you turned him into just another wrestler with wrestlers kicking out of his finisher and talking a lot. He also seemed to really get his ass kicked a lot.

Are Shawn and the Kliq faces or heels? It seems like you're trying to have them be faces, but they scream heels to me. Especially with Shawn naming himself as number 1 contender.
--

Some things I did like though was Owen Hart. Although I find it a bit unrealistic for him to be World Champion, his reign was great. That entire run was booked very well. So kudos for that.

Speaking of Owen, I really dug your last minute changes to Wrestlemania 12. The main event was perfect in getting Owen over while also giving Bret an instant feud for when he came back.

Bulldog is another guy I feel you used very well. Although I never thought of him as a possible World Champion, he was always a guy who I felt fit in the main event as the jobber, who while looking good, could never win the big prize.

Up until his In Your House: Precursor loss, Vader was booked very well too. You made him look like a monster that the WWE kinda gave up on in the middle of 1996.

I can defend everything I've done, but I actually won't right now. I'm going to admit, I liked everything I did after Survivor Series, but after actual writing it, I saw lots of flaws. When I was making the Royal Rumble I ran out of ideas and I went with my original plan of just giving it to HBK.

I really appreciate you reading this and giving me feedback along the way, thanks alot. This was a very good scenario and I feel that if I wouldn't have gotten carried away with people returning, (Hart, Diesel, HBK) it would have been much better.

Looking back, it really did start going downhill once the stars started returning. Surprisingly, your main events actually hurt you more than help you.

Being an epic Undertaker mark, I cannot stand your booking of him. I understand if you want him to do a few more promos, but his promos are not the Undertaker character. Supposing you wanted a character change, having him look weak is not the way to go about it otherwise it hurts him much more than helps him.

I really just put the general feel of the promos down. They would be delivered in an Undertaker-like style.

'Takers promo when he got Diesel to forfeit his title shot sounded more like American Badass Taker than Deadman Taker.
