The date is December 14<SUP>th</SUP> 2008. The event is Armageddon and Stephanie McMahon is standing in the ring with a smirk on her face. Not scheduled to be in the ring Stephanie has the fans watching and waiting in confuse-meant. Eventually Stephanie raises the microphone to her mouth and speaks. What Stephanie says shocks everyone in attendance. At the conclusion of Armageddon tonight the World Heavyweight Champion, whoever that may be, John Cena or Chris Jericho will go to hell and back to prove they deserve the title belt. At Midnight tonight, all bets are off. All the rules go out the window. For Twenty Four hours, the World Champion will be a marked man. Anybody, at anytime, and anywhere, can try and win the title from the Champion.

By the time Raw comes around tomorrow night, we will have a worthy Champion. Stephanie insured us that it was not all for the title as whoever is the Champion when the time limit expires, will be handed a cheque for an unprecedented Twenty Million Dollars. Stephanie exit’s the ring content with the reaction her announcement has created. Complete and Utter disbelief.

The Main Event at Armageddon had suddenly taken on a much bigger interest. As if John Cena vs. Chris Jericho wasn’t enough for you, the winner will have the toughest twenty four hours of there entire life. Can Cena or Jericho make it to Raw still the World Champion and collect the twenty million dollars on offer from Stephanie McMahon?

John Cena stands victorious in the ring at the end of Armageddon. Cena, having just made Chris Jericho submit in the STFU, seems subdued, perhaps he realises that he has just booked himself a one way ticket to hell. Armageddon goes off the air with John Cena saluting the fans from atop the entrance ramp.

After the event John Cena is seen running to his locker-room, grabbing his bag and running to his car. Cena has a quick glance at his wristwatch that now reads 11:47 PM. 13 Minutes until it all kicks off. Cena seems to be in a rush to get to his hotel room and to some safety wherein he can at least make a defence.

John Cena arrives at his hotel at 11:58 PM. Cena slams on the breaks at the front door, exits and leaves the car blocking everyone else. At this point, Cena is only focused on himself and his precious World Championship. Cena sprints into the hotel and up the stairs to his hotel room. Cena reaches his hotel room and slams the door shut behind him before locking it. Cena glances at his wrist watch just in time to see it tick over to 12:00 AM.

John Cena places his title on the bed before grabbing a towel to have a shower since he didn’t have time to do so at the arena. Cena has just pulled his shirt off and turned on the shower when there is a knock on the door.

Cena hesitantly heads to the hotel door where he demands to know who is there. A simple announcement of room service puts Cena’s mind at ease. Cena puts his hand on the door handle but then remembers he didn’t order any room service. The voice on the other side claims it comes compliments of Ms. McMahon. Cena tells the hotel staff member to leave it there and he will get it in a few minutes. The staff member protests saying he needs a signature or his ass is on the line if it goes missing. Cena reluctantly opens the door a crack and has a glance outside. Once he is sure it is safe, Cena opens the door for the staff member. Cena slams the door closed behind the staff member so as to not leave himself exposed.

Cena has a look at his food before asking for a pen to sign for it. The staff member obliges but once Cena isn’t looking he hits him in the head with a baking tray sending the Champion to the floor. The staff member quickly opens the door and exits. Upon his exit a smug and now extra confidant John Morrison and The Miz enter, slow motion and all. The Miz and Morrison crack jokes as they take turns in hitting Cena with baking trays and kicks. Eventually they beat Cena down to his back, but, then argue over who is going to make the Pinfall and become champion.

A shoving match ensues between the Tag Team Champions which gives Cena enough time to recover and take out the first challenge to his gold. Morrison shoves Miz up against a wall before Cena charges into the back of Morrison sending him crashing into the Miz. Miz and Morrison crack heads before both men fall to the floor. Miz holds the top of his head while Morrison complains about his beautiful face being ruined. Cena gets another kick in on each man before grabbing his title belt and heading for higher, and safer, ground.

12:21 AM

As Cena exits his hotel room and heads for the elevator he stops dead and turns around heading back the way he came. Cena looks around and ducks in behind a pillar. After a few seconds the sun is blocked out as the World’s Strongest Man Mark Henry walks past without seeing Cena. Tony Atlas is jabbering on but Henry isn’t paying any attention to him. Henry and Atlas reach the door of Cena’s hotel room which was slammed closed by Cena as he left. Henry takes a few steps back before charging through the door into the room. Henry spots the Miz and Morrison still down against the wall complaining. Henry turns the hotel room upside down just in case Cena hadn’t actually left.

Meanwhile, John Cena was in the elevator making his way down to the basement car park. Cena steps out of the elevator and sots his car, but, its surrounded by WWE Superstars who want to try their luck against Cena. Cena ducks behind a nearby dumpster and counts his obstacles. M.V.P., Bam Neeley, Chavo Guerrero, Kurt Hawkins and Zack Ryder patiently await the champion. Hawkins and Ryder play cards on the hood of Cena ride while Chavo gives orders to Bam. M.V.P. meanwhile is telling anyone who will listen about how great he is. Not liking the odds Cena decides to do something he would rather avoid. Cena quickly makes his way to the nearest car and checks the door. Luckily, its open.

Cena crawls in an reaches down to try and hotwire the car. Cena finally gets it running and sits back up to make his exit. As Cena plans his route smoke begins to fill the car. Cena rolls down the window to let the smoke out when he gets tapped on the shoulder. Cena turns and realises he wasn’t alone in the car. The Boogeyman was asleep on the back seat. Cena picks up his title belt and hit’s the Boogeyman in the skull with it to put him back asleep. Cena reaches into the back and opens the side door before shoving the Boogeyman out. The smoke has drawn the attention of Chavo who bravely sent Bam to check it out. Cena sees Bam coming and slams on the gas to get away just in time.
