On March the seventh 2008, a video popped up on YouTube. The video highlighted some of the worst wrestling we have seen in a really long time. This wasn’t a backyard video, this was a video made entirely of clips from professional mainstream organisations. The video proved a huge success & even made the most viewed chart two days running. The Uploader of the video had the user name UWA. No-one paid any notice to it as a Google search only came up with University of Western Australia.
Three months would pass before another video appeared. On June twelfth, a video condemning the mainstream wrestling organizations was posted. It was a silent video that used only short sentences & images again showing ridiculous situations in wrestling. The video again proved to be a success but this time more for curiosity sake than for humours sake.
On August 29th 2008 we would finally get something we co
uld work with. A date & a name. Universal Wrestling Alliance was the name & October 15th 2008 was the date. A Google search of Universal Wrestling Alliance led to an image. An image that bore the UWA logo aswell as two images of wrestlers we all know. On the left was the somewhat insane Delirious, while on the right was former WWE United States champion Bobby Lashley.
On September 19th 2008, yet another video appeared. This time however, we got a press conference more than anything. A man who introduced himself as the saviour of professional wrestling announced that he has formed a company that would one day rival the mighty WWE & one day soon rival second placed TNA. The speaker then said his dream is becoming reality. On October 15th 2008, UWA will hold its first ever live event. In November their will be a second event, the date to be confirmed. In December, all the parts will fall into place with a third show.
On that first show, October 15th 2008, we will be treated to some of the best wrestlers not currently tied down to iron clad exclusive contracts. On that night we will see he first half of the tournament to determine the first ever UWA Heavyweight Champion. Eight men will arrive at the building, full of promise, six will be leaving dejected & beaten while the other two will have booker their place on December’s card. November will see the same format.
The video abruptly finishes after that announcement. We were left with only this image.

We open the show with a brief video package. The video explains that tonight we will see the beginning of something special. Something new & something fresh. By the end of tonight the fans in attendance will be eager to come back again for the second show, and the third show, and the fourth show, and every show after that. While the fans who bought the DVD will be eager to attend a future show. Once the video ends we are straight into the action with our first match of the evening.

The first show on Wednesday night exceeded our expectations by a lot. We are not talking about the talent that was on show as we know what they can do when they are given the freedom to go out there & entertain. We were however, surprised by the sheer amount of people who could not get into the building. The door’s were unlocked yes, but, we just could not physically fit anymore people inside. We apologize to all the fans who we had to turn away at the door. Sorry but you missed a great show. I have received literally hundreds of e-mails in regards to last night, about 99% of them have been positive. I would however, like to share one of the negative e-mails to hopefully get feedback as to weather or not these people are alone in their stance of if we have some problems that need to be sorted out ASAP.
This e-mail came to us from a well known retired wrestler.
Quote:
I want my money back! That show was absolutely woeful & made zero sense. Why on earth would Lashley use a Dominator? A classic example of Overbooking. I also don’t see why you felt the need to fill the card with gimmick matches. Why did we need two tag matches? Overkill in my professional opinion. And another thing, why did the Motor City Machine Guns & the Colony shake hands after the match? That swerve made no sense at all! The fans were too noisy & some wrestlers smiled on the way to the ring. That again was over booking. You need to sort out your booking team & fast.
L. Storm.

P.P.S. Please?
Our message board is open for you to share your opinions or call each other names or whatever it is you want to do.
Moving on to some positive news now. We can now confirm what we have been trying to wrap up for the past several weeks. We wanted it for the first show, but unfortunately it didn’t happen. It will however be happening on November 12th in Orlando, FL. I’m not going to actually tell you what it is, but instead let you ponder over it.

Opening - A very good opening to the show for the hype of it. Good start to a new promotion to kick off with a match.
Kid Kash vs. Delirious - A very good opening match to the show. Overall, the match was great and good to see Kash pick up the win and I see an expected push for Kash.
Vin Gerard vs. Matt Bentley - Good match but the ending was a bit bad. Matt Bentley getting the win was good though but bad ending.
Bobby Lashley vs. Chuck Taylor - Good squash match here and especially when it makes Lashley look strong. Good ending to the match as it will push Lashley to the main event of the show.
MCMG vs. The Colony - An alright tag team match here. MCMG getting the win was good as they really were the better team in the match.
Ending - A good ending to the show. Liked it a lot when both tag teams shook hands.
Notes - Overall, the first match of the show was better than the rest. MCMG - Colony match was an alright main event with the squah match between Bobby - Chuck also being good. Still thought the Bentley - Gerard match was a bad ending. Also no title? Anyways, that will maybe pay out but for the meantime, you're making this BTB so realistic with Lance Storm complaining and the arena sold out. Hopefully, this BTB will turn out successful for you as you have full potential after your last TNA BTB.
Total Rating - 7.5/10 (Yes, the show was good but now I'll rest with 7.5 as I am a harsh rater but the show was good and can't wait for the second show).

Kid Kash makes his way to the ring next despite not having a scheduled match tonight. Kash rolls into the ring and takes a mic from the ring announcer. Kash seems disgusted at the Orlando fans as he prepares to speak. Amidst the boo’s from the fans Kash begins.
“Don’t worry, I wont be long.”
This gets a big cheer from the fans.
“I’m just here to inform you people, Matt Bentley will not be competing in the UWA Title tournament anymore. UWA management neglected to tell the public this, but I felt it was my duty to. Last month I ripped his knee ligaments off of the bone. Doctors says he cant wrestler any more. UWA management say it was my fault. I say, you damn right it was!”
“The amount of attention that he was getting was ridiculous. Really what has he done to deserve so much attention? What has he done to even enter the tournament in the first place? I tell you what he has done, nothing! The only reason, and I mean only reason, he was even considered, is because he was trained by Shawn Michaels.”
The mention of Michaels gets a huge reaction from the crowd.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah, he aint here so don’t get over excited.”
“Now, as I was saying, Matt Bentley is no longer able to wrestle. You know what that means? It means I get a bye to the next round. You people thought I lost my cool when I got disqualified last month, not true, I know well what I was doing. I killed two birds with one stone. I took out the egomaniac Matt Bentley, and I advanced to the final four next month. If your wondering who my next target is, its none other than the bald muscle bound freak, Bobby Lashley.”
Another cheer from the fans as its clear who’s side they will be on.
“Bobby, i’m coming for you, Punk.”
Kash drops the mic and heads backstage after delivering his message.

Lawler makes his way to the ring with a mic in hand signalling his intent. Lawler climbs into the rings as the fans show their respect for the legend. Lawler soaks in the applause before speaking.
“While I appreciate your response to me... it means absolutely nothing. It means nothing because I got tricked. I got tricked into showing up here tonight. I was told, that this was a great upstart company who I would be very impressed by. Well, i’m not. And quite frankly, I cant wait to leave this piss poor excuse for a wrestling company and never look back. I don’t care what you think about me personally, but, you all know i’m speaking the truth. Since i’m here, I may aswell give some one the rub as they say in the business, but you people probably don’t even know what that means. So, to all the nobodies in the back, this is your chance. Somebody step up and prove me wrong.”
Lawler steps back and leans on the ropes as he waits for someone to take him up on the offer. After a few second Chuck Taylor is surprisingly the man to do so. Taylor comes to the ring and takes a mic with him.
“You want someone to step up Lawler? Well i’m stepping up. I’m stepping up and letting the whole world know what I think of your opinions.”
The fans get behind Taylor, which has to be a first!
“I agree with you 110%. You couldn’t be more right!”
The cheers quickly turn to jeers as the Chuck Taylor we all know shines through.
“I mean, look at this place. We got what? 200 people if even? Half of them probably got in for free just to fill the place up. This company, is pathetic.”
“At least not everyone in this dump is an idiot. Pleased to meet you Chuck, now, let me give you a word of advice.” Replies Lawler.
“I consider it an honour to get advice from a legend like yourself Mr. Lawler.”
“I knew you were smart when I first saw you. Now, you have just proved me right. Anyway, the advice, get out. Get out now. You’re bigger then this. You’re better than this. Don’t let this pathetic excuse for a company hold you down. You could achieve so much more in wrestling. Believe me on that.”
Lawler holds out his hand for Taylor to shake. Taylor accepts it without delay. Lawler raises the arm of Taylor but they are interupted by Tim Donst. Donst makes his way to the ring with a look of disbelief on his face. Donst grabs the mic off of Taylor.
“Chuck Taylor, you’re pathetic!”
A big cheer comes from the fans who clearly agree with Donst.
“Chuck, if you believe anything that fat pig beside you just said, you’re dumber than you look.”
“Now listen here..”
Lawler interrupts with.
“No you listen! You have had your time to talk, now its my turn. I am sick of the crap that you have been spouting and you have been here less than ten minutes! Chuck Taylor, a word of advice that you can actually use, grow a set. If your not happy here then why don’t you do something about it?”
Taylor seems taken aback but replies anyway.
“You want me to do something? Alright, I will.”
With that Taylor drives the mic into the forehead of Donst catching him off guard. Taylor clubs the back of Donst but Donst soon fights back and hit’s a belly-to-belly suplex. Donst turns his attention to Lawler but Lawler bails out. Donst turns back to Taylor but he has also slipped out of the ring and escaped.
