In a move between General Managers Vickie Guerrero and Mike Adamle, DH Smith has been moved to Raw in return for Raw star Paul Burchill. The move will take place immediately.

Monday Night Raw: October 13th 2008
Anaheim, California
Pyro explodes and breaks peoples eardrums. They cheer regardless as King and Michael Cole welcome us to the show.
Mike Adamle opens the show and says that due to Cyber Sunday being canceled, he needs a championship match before Survivor Series. Adamle says that tonight, Jericho will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Batista! Jericho comes out to confront Adamle, and he says that it isn't fair since he hasn't had enough time to prepare. Adamle says that he will defend the belt or will be striped of the World Heavyweight Championship.

Backstage, Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase are with Manu. Dibiase tells Manu he has yet to prove himself, and has actually been more trouble then he's been worth. Manu apologizes and promises to win tonight.
Santino Marella comes out and brings out the Honk-A-Meter. Val Venis interupts him.
1st Match: Non-Title Match: Val Venis Vs. Santino Marella w/ Beth Phoenix
Venis takes it to Santino early on, lighting him up with several forearm strikes before Marella reverses a suplex and rolls Val up, but only gets 2. Santino dictates Venis for a couple of minutes before Venis begins to get adrenaline going. Phoenix tries to distract Venis, but Venis ducks and Beth accidentally hits Santino! Venis rolls the IC champion up and gets the win! Winner: Val Venis(4:10)
Post match, Beth tends to Santino as Venis walks to the back a happy man.
Backstage, C.M Punk is interviewed by Todd Grisham. Punk says that tonight he will take one step closer to revenge when he goes against Manu.
Kane is backstage, and he says that at No Mercy, he had the opportunity to pull Rey's mask off, but it wasn't the right mood. Kane says that he wants to not only remove Rey's mask, but end his career.

2nd Match: Jillian Hall Vs. Kelly Kelly
Hall tried to keep Kelly down in this short match, but Kelly reversed a powerbomb into a Hurricanrana rollup for the win. Winner: Kelly Kelly(2:50)
Post match, Kelly says that she wants a shot at Beth Phoenix's title.
Backstage, Chris Jericho complains that management, like the fans, are corrupt. Jericho says he deserves better.
We cut back to the Raw ring, where Lillian Garcia is standing. She says the next contest is scheduled for one fall. Just then..
"If You Smell, What The Rock, Is Cooking~!"
The Rock's music hits, but Charlie Haas comes out dressed as The Rock! Haas gets massive heat as he comes to the ring dressed as The Rock. He announces himself as The Haas. This brings out Jack Swagger, the new face on Raw.
3rd Match: Jack Swagger Vs. The Haas
Haas starts out with a flurry of offense, but Swagger hits the Blue Thunder Bomb on Haas for the win, making easy work of him. Winner: Jack Swagger (1:01)

Backstage, Val Venis is backstage with Todd Grisham. Grisham asks Venis for a comment on his victory, and Venis says that he thinks he deserves a shot at the Intercontinental Championship next week.
Jamie Noble comes to the ring and says that he is going to try to win Layla's heart back.
4th Match: Jamie Noble Vs. Chavo Guerrero
Both men came out here with something to prove. Guerrero had the advantage, but Noble reversed one of the Three Amigo's suplex's into a small package for the win. Winner: Jamie Noble(4:19)
Post match, Layla comes out to the ramp with William Regal. Layla looks sympathetic toward Noble, but Regal laughs and tells Noble that he is a peasant in his books.

5th Match: C.M Punk w/ Kofi Kingston Vs. Manu w/ Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase
Manu brought the power game to Punk early on, but Punk's quickness soon overcame Manu. Punk was about to hit the GTW, but Cody came up on the apron. Manu went for the Suplex/Neckbreaker, but Punk slipped out and hit the GTS to put away Manu in a solid match. Winner: C.M Punk(7:05)
Punk and Kofi leave the ring as soon as Priceless enters. Rhodes and Dibiase look at Manu, shake their heads, and leave him in the ring.
Backstage, Mike Adamle announces that next week Kelly Kelly will take on Beth Phoenix for the Women's Title, and that Santino will defend the IC title against Val Venis.

Back from break, the announcers plug that Finlay, Matt Hardy and Ricky Ortiz will make their debut's next week.
Main Event:
World Heavyweight Championship: Chris Jericho(c) Vs. Batista
Batista mauls Jericho to start, jumping on him and taking him out with a flurry of punches. Jericho eventually rolls out of the ring, but Batista follows. Batista goes to throw Jericho into the ring post, but Jericho reverses the whip and sends Batista into the buckle.

Back from break, Jericho has completely isolated Batista. During the break, Jericho sent Batista into the steel steps. Jericho now has a headlock wrenched in on Batista. Batista slowly fades, as the referee has to keep checking on him. Eventually, Batista gets to his feet and powers out. Batista hits a variety of power moves before nailing Jericho with a spear. Batista covers, but Jericho gets his foot on the bottom rope! Batista gets fired up and shakes the ropes. Batista goes to take Jericho up for the spinebuster, but Jericho plants Batista with a DDT, then hits a Lionsault! Batista kicks out at 2,, and Jericho goes for the Walls Of Jericho, but Batista pushes him back as he gets to his feet and hits a Spinebuster on Jericho! Batista takes Jericho up, and without hesitation hits the Batista Bomb! He covers, but Lance Cade runs from the back and breaks up the pinfall! Winner by DQ: Batista(12:42)
Post match, Jericho and Cade beat down on Batista for several minutes. Cade retrieves a chair for Jericho, but Shawn Michaels runs to the ring and cleans house before any damage can be done. HBK stands tall with Batista as the show ends.
The WWE has come to terms on the releases of Eve Torres, Maryse and Brie Bella. We wish them the best in their future endeavors.
Smackdown Preview:
What will Mr. Kennedy do when Smackdown returns to his hometown of Green Bay, Wisconsin? Vladimir Kozlov has dominated everyone that stands in his path, and has an inquenchable thirst for competition. Who will be his next victim? Friday Night Smackdown: October 17th 2008

Pyro goes off as the crowd cheers while JR and Tazz welcome us to the show.
*HHH makes his way to the ring as the crowd cheers*
HHH: Ladies and gentlemen, you are looking at the best wrestler in the WWE, bar none. I've showed that I'm better than Vladimir Kozlov, and I'm sure as hell better than Jeff Hardy. So on your knee's dog, I am the King of Kings, I am the World Heavyweight Champion, I am-
*Mr. Kennedy's music hits, interrupting HHH. His home town crowd errupts.*
HHH: Oh boy..can I help you? I'm not sure if you know, but you kinda interrupted me here. Kennedy: Triple H..you come out here, and talk about how you're the King of Kings, how you're the best wrestler here..blah blah blah! You see Hunter, the funny thing is, I don't seem to remember you ever beating me. So how about tonight..right here in my hometown..you and me, one on one. HHH: You know what Kennedy? You've got it. But don't come complaining to me after I humiliate you in your hometown.
*The two men have a stare down, HHH's music plays as he leaves*

*Shelton Benjamin makes his way to the ring for guest commentary. JR mentions that only two competitors in the fatal 4 way number one contender's match have been announced.
The Brian Kendrick makes his way to the ring, accompanied by Ezekiel.
R-Truth makes comes to the ring through the crowd, rapping.
After a moment of silence, MVP's music hits, as he makes his way to the ring.
Following MVP is the fourth competitor, Evan Bourne.
1st Match:- MVP vs. The Brian Kendrick vs. R-Truth vs. Evan Bourne
The match is underway, with MVP and R-Truth pairing off, aswell as Bourne and Kendrick. R-Truth hits MVP with a crisp running scissor kick. Kendrick plants Bourne with a spinning DDT. Kendrick begins to taunt Bourne, but is caught from behind with a punch from R-Truth. MVP and Kendrick double team R-Truth. Kendrick rolls out of the ring. Bourne then does a plancha onto both Kendrick and Ezekiel. Back in the ring MVP hit the playmaker on R-Truth. He gets the 2 count, but Bourne breaks it up. Bourne throws MVP to the outside. MVP and Kendrick begin to brawl on the outside, while R-Truth and Bourne do in the ring. Bourne hits a running head scissors on R-Truth, followed by a high knee. Bourne nails the standing moonsault, and makes his way to the top rope. MVP and Kendrick are too distracted brawling with eachother on the outside. Bourne hits the shooting star press, and gets the pin on R-Truth to become the number one contender for the US title. Winner- Evan Bourne(14:52)
Following the match Bourne and Benjamin have a stare down.

Back from commercial, Scotty Goldman is talking backstage.
Goldman: Smackdown viewers, I've been on Smackdown for a month or so now, and I can't help but notice..I'm just seen as the funny guy. Yes I crack jokes, but I'm not being seen as a competitor. I've had enough of being overlooked, and it's time for me to get the respect I deserve.
Funaki makes his way to the ring.
The newest addition to the Smackdown roster, Paul "The Ripper" Burchill comes out
2nd match- Paul Burchill vs. Funaki
Burchill dominates Funaki. Funaki gets in literally no offense. Burchill hits the C4 for the win. Winner-Paul Burchill(1:04)
Post match Burchill gives Funaki a curb stomp.

Coming back from commercial a carnival is shown.
The camera pans into a tent. In the tent are cells of sorts. A voice is heard, as moving down the row of cells, the voice narrates. Voice: The freak..*Snitsky is seen in a cell*
The miniature man..*Hornswoggle is seen in a cell*
The monster..*The Boogeyman is seen in a cell*
And of course..the ringleader.*the camera pans to the man talking*
My name is Kizarny..and wizelcome to the cizarnival.
Back in the arena, Vladimir Kozlov comes to the ring with a microphone. Kozlov: I have beaten all challenge. Is there no competion? America has nothing to offer to the best of Mother Russia?
*An unknown music hits, as someone makes their entrance*
Mystery man: Kozlov, my name is Mike Kruel. They call me the American Shooter, and you're about to learn why.

3rd match- Vladimir Kozlov vs. "The American Shooter" Mike Kruel
Kozlov comes out of the gate going for a headbutt, but Kruel dodges it. Kruel takes Kozlov to the mat and puts him in an arm bar. Kozlov lifts him up and turns it into a powerbomb. Kozlov lifts up Kruel onto his shoulders, but Kruel is able to hop off and put Kozlov into a sleeper hold, but Kozlov powers out of it. He kicks Kruel in the stomach and he falls to the mat. Kozlov picks him up, and goes to knee him in the head, but Kruel reverses out of it and gives Kozlov a stiff shot to the jaw. Kozlov stumbles back, but comes back at Kruel with a belly to belly suplex. He picks him up, headbutts Kruel, and covers him for the pin. Winner-Vladimir Kozlov(7:28)
As Kozlov is leaving, Kruel asks for a microphone, and musters up the strength to stand. Kruel: I'm still standing Kozlov. How's that for competion?
An infuriated Kozlove storms to the back.
Backstage, Jeff Hardy is seen wishing Mr. Kennedy luck in his match against HHH.

4th Match- Curt Hawkins and Zach Ryder vs. Primo Colon and Carlito
Match starts out with Curt Hawkins and Carlito. Hawkins puts Carlito in a headlock. Carlito gets out of it and nails Hawkins with a DDT. Carlito proceeds to beat down Hawkins. Carlito tags in Primo. Primo hits Hawkins with a hurricanrana. Hawkins ducks a clothesline and nails Primo with one of his own. Hawkins tags in Ryder and they double team Primo. As Primo is finally able to go for the tag, The Miz and John Morrison take out Carlito. Hawkins and Ryder hit a Russian Leg Sweep/STO combo on Primo for the win. Winners-Curt Hawkins and Zach Ryder(10:05)

Back from commercial, it's time for the main event. The announcers put over that Kennedy is the hometown hero.
Mr Kennedy makes his way to the ring, getting a huge pop. A microphone is lowered, and Kennedy introduces himself.
Kennedy: Tonight I weigh in at an astounding 243 pounds, and stand 6feet, two inches...from Green Bay, Wisconsin, the man that is about to become World Heavyweight Champion...MR. KENNEDY!.......KENNEDY!
The World Heavyweight Champion HHH comes out to a chorus of boo's.
5th Match- Mr. Kennedy vs. HHH
The match begins with a lockup. HHH puts Kennedy in a headlock. Kennedy powers out and nails Hunter with a Russian Leg Sweep. Kennedy picks him up and hits him with an enziguiri. Kennedy goes for a clothesline, but HHH ducks, and comes off the ropes with a high knee strike. He picks up Kennedy and puts him in an abdominal stretch. He releases the hold, and begins to work on the leg of Kennedy. HHH goes to drop his knee's on Kennedy's leg, but Kennedy rolls out of the way. He begins hitting Triple H with a flury of punches, before irish whipping him into the corner. Kennedy runs towards HHH, but HHH comes out of the corner going for a running clothesline. Kennedy dodges it, and HHH nails the ref. Hunter rolls out of the ring, and grabs a chair. He rolls back in the ring, but Kennedy gets right at him, Kennedy takes the chair, and DDT's HHH onto it. As the ref is regaining consciousness, Kennedy gets HHH on his shoulders for the Green Bay Plunge, but HHH reverses it into pedigree postition. Kennedy flips HHH over his back, picks him up, and hits the Mic Check. He covers HHH.
1...2...3. Winner-Mr. Kennedy(17:36)
The crowd errupts, and Kennedy is ecstatic.
HHH rolls out of the ring, visibly in pain, and grabs a microphone. HHH: Hey, too bad I never said that was a title match, ay kid?
HHH laughs, and leaves with his title.
Kennedy looks on angrily, but then celebrates his victory with his hometown fans to end the show.
