Re: WWE RAW: Bringing Back The War

OK, good start so far but I'm just saying this for you to improve but don't edit it or anything, the Backstory could've been better.

The Roster looks good and as a word of advice, maybe just post some SD! or ECW Quick Results to let people know what's going on but that's YOUR choice.

The PPV was alright and I like how you're involving this HHH-Taker feud.

I will be reviewing.

WWE RAW: Bringing Back The War
September, Chapter 1: New Foes

WWE Monday Night RAW
Duluth, Minnesota
DECC Arena
September 8th

-After a recap from WWE Unforgiven last night, we open up with a huge pyro set that wows the crowd. After we settle down “This Fire Burns” plays on the P.A System and the World Heavyweight Champion comes out to the ring. CM Punk grabs a microphone and tells the crowd how good it feels to be champion for another day. Punk states that 80% of the odds were against him but when the time came, CM Punk won once again. Guys like JBL, Edge and most recently, Randy Orton have stated that CM Punk isn’t worthy to be a champion. But all those men have been proven wrong over and over again and CM Punk stands in the ring as RAW’s World Heavyweight Champion!

-Santino’s music hits on the P.A system and the crowd doesn’t seem very happy. Santino steps into the ring with his Intercontinental Championship and takes a microphone. Santino tells CM Punk that the way CM Punk won the World Heavyweight Championship was disgusting and unprofessional. Santino says that CM Punk will never be a champion like The Milan Miracle, Santino Marella! CM Punk smirks and says that Santino wasn’t even at Unforgiven, which shows how much of a fighting champion Santino is. Santino flares up and looks like he’s ready to go until Mike Adamle comes out to address the two men in the ring.

-Adamle states that unfortunately, Santino could not defend the IC title at Unforgiven due to booking problems. The Intercontinental title is a sacred and valuable title to the WWE and it will not be ignored. Which is why Adamle has already handed in a match for No Mercy. At No Mercy it shall be Santino Marella going one on one with Kofi Kingston! Marella does not look happy at all but Adamle continues to talk. Seeing as Punk defeated 4 other men at Unforgiven last night, Adamle isn’t sure on who to pick for his next opponent. Which is why he has decided that tonight, there will be a 15 Man Battle Royal to determine the number one contender at No Mercy! However, Adamle says that we still have a night of action to go through, so lets start off with our Champion vs. Champion bout. Adamle rushes a referee in the ring and we go to a commercial break before the match starts.

Commercial Break

Champion vs. Champion Match
Santino Marella vs. CM Punk

Match Overview: Santino surprisingly put up a good fight against Punk, proving that he can dance with the best. It started off with Santino trying to get the upper hand through cheating but Santino was brought down by Punk’s highly skilled Martial Arts Kicks. In the end, Santino fell prey to the Go To Sleep from Punk but he certainly wowed the crowd. Punk celebrated up the ramp as Santino slowly came to.

Winner: CM Punk

-We go to the back now where we see Chris Jericho walking down the hallway with many bruises and cuts across his body. Jericho is accompanied by Lance Cade and Michael Cole tells us that we’ll hear from Jericho tonight.

-The cameras cut to Paul London who’s stood in Mike Adamle’s office. London states that now he’s in singles competition London has had his eye on the Intercontinental title. Adamle thinks about it for a second but he says that unfortunately, Adamle has already booked a match at No Mercy for the Intercontinental Title. London starts to convince Adamle to change his mind and give London a chance. Adamle decides to compromise and says that if London can beat Santino in a non title match next week, he’ll reconsider. London looks pleased and is about to leave until Adamle tells him that London has a match up next. London looks ready and leaves the room.

Singles Match

Paul London vs. Snitsky

Match Overview: London failed to overpower Snitsky throughout the match, but he was able to outrun him. Snitsky was leaning on the ropes until London knocked him over. London followed him out with a huge senton splash which wowed the crowd. Towards the end of the match, Snitsky looked like he was in the drivers seat as he loaded up London for a power bomb. Suddenly, London dropped down and rolled up Snitsky for the three count! London ran up the ramp and celebrated with the crowd as Snitsky looked furious. Maybe London can make it in singles competition…

Winner: Paul London

Commercial Break

-We cut to the interview section with Todd Grisham as he interviews “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels. Michaels looks ecstatic as the crowd scream. Michaels states that in the past few months he was considering retirement but after his bout with Chris Jericho last night, Michaels has remembered what it’s like to feel the electricity in Sports Entertainment. Now, Michaels warns CM Punk that HBK is back in the World Title hunt, and nothing will stop him from winning the World Heavyweight Championship. In fact, Michaels has decided to announce that he will be participating in the 15 Man Battle Royal later on tonight.

-Suddenly, John Bradshaw Layfield walks into the scene and stares down Shawn Michaels. JBL tells Michaels that there was nothing good about what happened last night between HBK and Chris Jericho. JBL states that Beating Jericho to senseless pulp made Michaels no better than an unprofessional barbarian. Last night, HBK spit in the face of what is supposed to be a sport of respect. JBL also announces that he will be in the Battle Royal, and it will be JBL’s pleasure of throwing Michaels out of the ring and out of the competition.

-Michaels tells JBL that HBK has fought many respected battles and there is a reason why Shawn Michaels will go down as one of the greatest professionals in this business. And if JBL wants to talk about being professional, he shouldn’t be whining week after week about losing his shots week after week. JBL has had his chance, and tonight Shawn Michaels guarantees that he will be walking out of Duluth the number one contender. Michaels walks off leaving JBL in an angry state.
Singles Match
Ted DiBiase Jr. (w/ Cody Rhodes) vs. D’Lo Brown

Match Overview: Like it or not, Ted Jr. is the next big thing on RAW. Ted mainly kept control in the match, but D’ Lo was able to get some offence in the match. Rhodes just watched at ringside with a cold stare. D’ Lo went up top for the Frogsplash, but DiBiase managed to roll out of the way. At the end, DiBiase hit the Cobra Clutch Legsweep for the three count. DiBiase celebrated over D’Lo until Rhodes joined in for a beating.

Winner:
Ted DiBiase Jr.
-Team Priceless begin to beat down on D’Lo until Cryme Tyme come in to save the day. Priceless quickly vacate the ring and proceed up the ramp. Cryme Tyme certainly don’t look happy as Priceless gloat their gold at the top of the ramp.

-We cut to the locker room where Rey Mysterio is warming up for the Battle Royal tonight. Batista walks in and greets Rey. Batista would like to know if everything is OK with Rey and that there’s no hard feelings about Unforgiven. Rey says that it was every man for himself and there’s no problem in going to win the World Title. However, Rey says that it’s the same thing tonight, and that nothing will stop Rey from going to No Mercy. Batista respects that and exclaims may the best main win. Rey asks Batista if everything’s been going well. Batista says that it’s been OK, but there’s one man that he needs to have a few words with. Rey asks Batista who’s that, and Batista says that Rey will find out later. Batista leaves to go sort out his “problem”.

Commercial Break

SAVE_ME

BOOM!

-”Break the Walls Down” blasts through the P.A as Chris Jericho comes down to the ring with Lance Cade. Jericho looks like he’s having trouble getting into the ring as Lance opens the ropes for him. Jericho takes a microphone as Cade stands behind him. Jericho claims that last night at Unforgiven he was abused, humiliated and treated like an animal. Jericho says that Shawn Michaels is an animal who doesn’t even deserve to step within Jericho’s presence. Jericho isn’t even medically cleared to compete. The crowd gives Jericho a “You Suck” chant which enrages Jericho. Jericho states that he can’t sleep at night with the injuries he’s been suffering. He starts to take off his jacket and shirt and shows the crowd the welts and bruises he’s developed after last night. The camera closes in on them but the crowd mock Jericho. Jericho starts to take out a slip of paper and begins to read out. It appears to be a restraining order from Shawn Michaels. Michaels cannot step 300 feet within Jericho and if he does Michaels will be charged on the spot.

-Batista’s music hits on the speakers as The Animal begins to walk down to the ring. Jericho doesn’t look very happy and it seems that Jericho is the guy that Batista has a problem with. Batista takes a microphone and tells Jericho that he’s pathetic. Jericho begins to talk but Batista interrupts and continues. Batista states that Jericho came back one year ago to “Save Us” but to be honest, we didn’t need Jericho in the first place. Then Jericho decided to “Save himself” and got in the way of Batista’s business with Shawn Michaels. And now, Jericho is complaining about getting the beating that he deserved last night. Well it stops here. Jericho begins to argue with Batista but the Animal quickly snatches the restraining order and rips it in half. Jericho looks shocked and begins ranting on the mike. Jericho tells Batista that he has every right to destroy him right here right now. Batista smiles and looks like he’s ready to go. Jericho hesitates for a minute and says that it won’t be tonight. However, one day, Batista will regret what he’s done. Jericho is about to leave the ring and says that you should fear what you don’t understand; and Batista doesn’t understand Y2J. Jericho and Cade leave the ring as Batista stares down Jericho from a distance.

Promo For No Mercy

-We get a video from Randy Orton, who states that CM Punk made the biggest mistake in his life when he decided to disrespect Randy Orton. Now, Orton isn’t ready to get back into the ring but in the near future, Punk will regret his actions. It’s too late to apologize, and Orton’s revenge can come at anytime. It might be today, tomorrow, or any other day of the week. Orton warns Punk to watch his back.

Smackdown Rebound

-”This Fire Burns” plays on the P.A System as CM Punk comes down the ramp with his World Heavyweight Championship. Punk walks past the ring and sits down at the announcer table with Cole and Lawler. Punk tells the team that he wants to watch the competition in the best seat in the house, so he can see who he’s up against. We go to our last commercial break before the match.

Commercial Break

Main Event
15 Man Battle Royal
Number One Contender For the World Heavyweight Championship
Winner goes to No Mercy

Contestants:

Shawn Michaels, JBL, Rey Mysterio, Kane, Batista, Kofi Kingston, Charlie Haas, Paul Burchall, Hardcore Holly, Chuck Palumbo, Jamie Noble, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase Jr., JTG, Shad

Match Overview: This was certainly an exciting match that got the crowd into it. Some guys found themselves quickly eliminated such as Chuck Palumbo and Hardcore Holly. Team Priceless got too cocky when they eliminated JTG. They began to taunt until they found themselves thrown over the top by Shad. Towards the middle of the match, Shad was knocked over the top by a Clothesline from Hell by JBL. Paul Burchall and Jamie Noble fought on the apron after both men pushed each other over the top rope. Rey Mysterio leap frogged over JBL and dropkicked both of them off the apron! Charlie Haas found himself eliminated by Kofi Kingston who proves to be a dominating factor in the business. We came down to the final six between JBL, HBK, Kane, Rey, Kofi and Batista. Kofi was choke slammed over the top by Kane which made the crowd turn away from its brutal impact. JBL looked like he was aiming to plant Batista with the Clothesline from Hell but Michaels came out of nowhere and kicked JBL over the top with the Sweet Chin Music! JBL looked furious as Michaels laughed. JBL kicked the steps in anger as the crowd mocked JBL. Michaels went to work on Kane until JBL ran back into the ring and gave Shawn Michaels the clothesline from hell! JBL threw Michaels over the top rope and celebrated. JBL didn’t stop there however, he carried on the assault and whacked Michaels with the steel steps! Referees and Officials drove JBL away as Michaels was busted wide open. The match carried on in the ring as we were down to Rey, Batista and Kane. Rey nailed Batista with the 619 and Batista stumbled back. Kane walked over to get Rey but Rey flew off the ropes with a west coast pop except Kane grabbed Rey and chucked him over the top with a power bomb! We came down to the final two as Batista charged up for Kane. The battle between the two was insane and we looked to come to the end where Batista was setting up Kane for the Batista Bomb. Batista attempted to lift Kane but Kane quickly reversed and threw Batista over the top rope for the win! Kane celebrated in the ring as his music played.

Winner: Kane (Number One Contender)

-Kane stands victorious in the ring with his hand in the air as CM Punk stood up and held the World title. Punk shakes his head and tells Kane that he won’t be getting near this title. Kane laughs evilly and makes a sign for the gold around his waist. We come to an end as Kane continues to celebrate.

Opening - Very good opening here between Punk and Marella, kinda gives Marella some good quality TV Time

I like how Adamle books the match and the main event should be good. Not really sure on the IC Title match for No Mercy but I'll give it a chance. 4/5

Punk vs. Marella - Very good match here. Glad that Punk picked up the win. 3/5

Jericho and Cade Backstage -
Nice way to show that Jericho will be speaking later on. 1/5

London/Adamle - Nice to see that you're pushing London to the IC Division. Like how he'll be facing Santino next week and if he wins, he's added to the IC Title match at No Mercy. 3/5

London vs. Snitsky - Like how you're continuing to push London here and what a way to do it by firstly beating Snitsky. Hope to see London get a good push in the IC Division. Match was good to but not too good. 2.5/5

HBK/JBL - A great segment here and look what both men said to each other and makes the main event of Raw more interesting. Nice work. 4.5/5

DiBiase vs. D'Lo - Alright match and nice to see DiBiase pick up the win. 2.5/5

Cryme Tyme/Priceless - Nice way to make Priceless get more heat after the match and what better way to do it than attack D'Lo. Nice to see Cryme Tyme make the save and hopefully an upcoming match between the two. 3/5

Rey/Batista - A good way to show these two that they still have friendship but I wonder what could be the "problem". 3.5/5

Batista/Y2J - What a brilliant segment you have produced. Loved every minute of it and was at the edge of my seat the whole time with it. 5/5

No Mercy Video - Good way to hype up No Mercy. 1/5

Orton Video - Very good interview here. Like how Orton might feud with Punk soon. 3/5

SmackDown! Rebound - Also like the No Mercy video, a very good way to hype up this weeks SD! 1.5/5

Punk/Commentary - Nice way to involve Punk into this match. 2/5
Main Event - Brilliant match. Love how you made such feuds as HBK/JBL, and Priceless/Cryme Tyme involved in this match. Nice to see Kane pick up the win which makes Kane vs. Punk at the PPV. 4.5/5

Ending -
Like how Kane and Punk were involved in this. Makes the match seem good for No Mercy. 3/5

Total Rating: 8/10

Thanks for reviewing. Don't expect many 5 star matches because Im more of a "Promo/Entertainment" writer when it comes to BTBs. I only write good matches for PPVs or big RAW matches

Re: WWE RAW: Bringing Back The War

RatedDCA's Review for RAW

Santino/Punk/Adamle Promo
: I must say, you did a good job on keeping Santino and Punk in character, Good start for the show. I'm not sure if they will mention the word "book" on air. but this is probably intentional on your part because Adamle said it and it may be part of the storyline of how much Adamle sucks at the mic. and you took the opportunity to make the most out of this promo by setting up the Punk/Marrela match. Solid 4/5.

Santino vs. Punk: LOL at Santino on having a good match. on real life even if he's a champion he'll job to Snitsky. but i see your giving him a chance in your BTB which is good. Good choice on having Punk get over. but could you increase the details about the match?. So the readers have an idea on the action. but it's good. 3.5/5

London/Adamle: Great to see your doing something with Paul London rather than just a glorified jobber to Jericho or Cade. I'll love to see him have a PPV match with Santino and Kofi. 3/5

London vs. Snitsky: Good length on this match. and great to see London winning over Snitsky. good way to make him over with the crowd... again. LOL. 3/5

HBK Interview Segment: You wrote up promo's pretty good. Even though your match writing is mediocore. Promo's are top-notch. Nice to see HBK owning JBL on this one. Hmm. I am looking forward to see if you will continue the epic HBK vs. Y2 -err Jericho feud. just like in the WWE. Extra props for being the best Promo. 4.5/5

DiBiase vs. Brown: Hmm. No Manu? LOL. It's a meh match. because mainly it was a squash to make DiBiase look better. the preceding beatdown was a plus however. and Cryme Tyme saving the day. Hmm. who knows. maybe we'll get to see a NOD 2008 with Cryme Tyme and Brown. LOL. :P 3.5/5

Mysterio/Tista Promo: Ha. even your filler promos are good. LOL. nothing much to say here. but it does make sense. so i'll give props for that. 2.5/5

Y2-err Jericho/Batista Promo: Solid promo. everyone was in-character. and LOL at Jericho calling HBK an animal. did he already forget GAB?. Ha. Tista interupting him was unexpected. i thought the "problem" was Kane. but what good Batista will get for this.. Hmm. i'll see what you can do... 4/5

Orton Promo: Hell yeah! Punk better watch out. great promo with Orton. i see you are preparing for a Orton/Punk feud. 3.5/5

15 Man Battle Royal: Great main event. star studded. i have no clue on who's gonna win it though. and Kane winning was unexpected cause i thought he'll feud with Mysterio. so much for that. >.>
but it's good, i see your setting up a JBL/Michaels feud. and not continuing the epic HBK/Jericho feud. >.> but it's fine. looking forward on how you will write this up.
To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
4.5/5

RatedDCA's Thoughts: Your promo's are solid. but your match writing could improve. you can give it a little life with it's length. but as i said. your promos make it up for your match writing skills. Overall i'll give this show a 3.5/5. You definitely have some potential and i'm looking forward for next week's show.
