As the Pay-Per-View officially begin, we see and hear the fans cheering incredibly loudly. The pyro finishes and the smoke clears before we cut to the RAW announce table, showing the newly-constructed duo of Jerry Lawler and Michael Cole following the WWE draft the previous monday.
Jerry Lawler: Hello ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the second annual Night of Champions! This pay-per-view is extremely special because all of the matches are title matches, and every single title in the WWE today will be defended! We can pretty much guaran-damn-tee you that a title will change hands tonight, but you never know!
Michael Cole: RAW's side of the card alone is something to shout about too, King. Mickie James will be defending her Women's Championship against the British Vixen, Katie Lea Burchill. Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly will be defending their World Tag Team Championships against Ted DiBiase Jnr and a mystery partner. The Intercontinental Champion will be on the line when Chris Jericho faces a mystery opponent. And of course, Triple H will defend his WWE Championship against John Cena. However, last Monday night, Triple H was officially drafted to SmackDown, so this match determines which show the WWE Title will be on!
Jerry Lawler: The RAW side of the card is a pay-per-view in it's own, but let's go over to two legends that commentate Friday Night SmackDown, Mick Foley and my old co-commentator, Good Ol' Jim Ross!
Jim Ross: Thank you King, and boy oh boy, SmackDown has a whirlwind of a card for all of you tonight. Matt Hardy finally won the United States Championship from MVP, and now he has to defend against former ECW World Champion, Chavo Guerrero. Two of the best technical wrestlers in the world today going toe-to-toe for the US Belt! Matt Hardy was drafted to ECW on Monday Night, so if he retains, the United States Belt goes with him. John Morrison and the Miz are set to defend the WWE Tag Team Championships against Finlay and Hornswoggle. This is now an ECW match because both Finlay and Hornswoggle were drafted to ECW! And in SmackDown's Main Event, Edge defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Batista. Batista was drafted to RAW, so if he wins the title, then RAW will hold the World Heavyweight Championship!
Mick Foley: Seeing as the ECW commentators are too lazy to show up, I will tell you of the final unmentioned match of the card and that is the ECW World Championship match, and man, we are going to need a reinforced ring for this one! Kane defends his title against not only the Big Show, but Mark Henry too! That's over one ton jumping around in that ring! Of course, there is no forgetting that Vince McMahon will be making an earth-shattering statement here tonight, but no-one knows what it's about. People's breath will be baited, as no-one knows when Mr. McMahon will make this announcement, which he says will change the WWE forever...
Just as Mick finished talking, a storm-like noise sounded over the PA system, and most of the wrestling fans knew that this noise meant...
No chance! That's what you got!
Up against a machine too strong,

Mr. McMahon stepped out onto the stage with a microphone in his hand. He made his famous strut down the ramp and climbed the steel steps into the ring. His theme music faded and the fans quietened. They knew that the ground-breaking announcement was about to be made...
Vince McMahon: As most of you already know, on WWE.com this past week it was noted that tonight, on the Night of Champions, I would make the biggest announcement to ever rock the WWE. I said that this announcement would change the WWE forever, and by gawd, it will do!
The fans cheered, amazed that they were witnessing the "biggest" announcement in WWE history.
Vince McMahon: Now I know you are waiting for the action to begin, so I suppose I'll get on with it. On Monday, there was the WWE draft, that really shook up the rosters and changed things around. Well, this announcement null and voids everything. It doesn't matter that Triple H was drafted to SmackDown, or that Batista was drafted to RAW. Because tonight, I announce that all of the brands will be merged into one!
There was a mixed reaction to the announcement, but mostly cheers. The fans were left wondering about tonight's matches and how this announcement affected them.
Vince McMahon: Now, so that all of the legacy's are left behind and none are left to flourish, this new brand will not be SmackDown, RAW, or ECW. This show will be called "Massacre", and it will be held on a Monday Night. Of course, with this announcement comes a change for tonight's match card. Firstly, the Women's Title Match will remain the same. The tag title matches will be merged together to make a Tag Team Fatal Four-Way for the WWE Tag Team Championships. The Intercontinental Championship Match will merge with the United States Title Match to determine who will become our first ever Global Champion, and this match will be an elimination match.
This brings many cheers from the audience, excited that they will see some great action on tonight's card, even if there are less matches. But they were looking forward to what would happen for the main events...
Vince McMahon: We are left, of course, with the three main events. Seven men are fighting for three separate titles, Triple H versus Cena, Edge versus Batista and Kane versus Big Show versus Mark Henry. These matches... will still happen. The three winners, however, will meet in the ultimate Main Event to determine who will be the WWE World Champion! Ladies and gentlemen, enjoy the rest of the show!
Vince then left the ring to thunderous cheering.
Jerry Lawler: And it looks like all four of us will be re-united too!
Jim Ross: Thank bah gawd for that!
MATCH ONE: WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP Mickie James (c) vs. Katie Lea Burchill
For the starting minutes of the match, this was a very even contest. Both women were on the offense, but both women kept coming out with counter after counter and reverse after reverse. Paul Burchill had accompanied his sister to the ring, and Mickie kept on giving him awkward sidewards glances. These glances inevitably allowed Katie to gain the upperhand. She stayed in control for the remainder of the match. However, Katie proved to be too arrogant for Mickie's liking, and whilst Katie took the time to gloat to the fans, Mickie recuperated, and when Katie turned around she was met by a swift kick to the face with a Mick Kick! Mickie made the cover and retained the belt, with Paul Burchill looking on in shock.
Winner: Mickie James after 8:25 (still champion)
The camera cuts backstage where Chris Jericho is sitting in his locker room, staring at his Intercontinental Champion. The United States Champion, Matt Hardy then walks in, his belt hanging over his shoulder.
Matt Hardy: Hey Chris man, I guess you've been thinking the same way I have.
Chris Jericho: How d'ya mean?
Matt Hardy: I mean that we are both the last champions of our kind. I'm the last ever United States Champion, and you're the last ever Intercontinental Champion. I don't think either of us realize just how epic this night is.
Chris Jericho: Yeah, I guess I am the last Intercontinental Champion. That's pretty cool. But I guess we have to put these belts behind us and focus on our match tonight for the Global Title. Me, you, Chavo and a mystery guy. It'll be a tough one, and it's elimination too.
Matt Hardy:Yep, good luck to you man, and may the best man become the Global Champion.
Chris Jericho: He will do, don't worry...
The camera fades with both men staring at each other intensely. The cameras then cut to ringside and to what would have been the RAW commentary table consisting of Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler and that irritating guy Michael Cole.
Michael Cole: A great match from Mickie James and Katie Lea Burchill, and strong words from Matt Hardy and Chris Jericho. But folks, now it's time for the most-manned match on this evenings card, with eight people participating for the new WWE World Tag Team Championships. Ladies and gentlemen, if you're just joining us, Vince McMahon has announced the end of the brand split, with all three rosters being merged into one, and so the tag-team title matches have also been merged into one another. Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly versus Ted DiBiase Jnr and his mystery partner versus John Morrison and the Miz versus father-son team of Finlay and Hornswoggle!
Jerry Lawler: And to top it all off, I have just received word that this match will follow Tornado Tag Elimination Rules! This means that all eight men will be participating at the same time, and teams will be eliminated until one team is standing! Wow!
MATCH TWO: WWE WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Cody Rhodes/Hardcore Holly vs. John Morrison/The Miz vs. Ted DiBiase Jnr/Mystery Partner vs. Finlay/Hornswoggle
This match was pure excitement from the get go, but of course it was rather confusing what with there being seven men in the ring (DiBiase's partner was yet to show up). As you may well have guessed, the first elimination of the match was the Little Bastard (literally) Hornswoggle. He got inadvertently knocked down by John Morrison, flattening him. The referee counted a pin whilst Morrison was still on Hornswoggle, and thus Horny was eliminated and Finlay was left to fend for himself. The next elimination came after Finlay managed to deliver the Celtic Cross to The Miz in the crowded ring space. With Morrison distracted by Cody Rhodes, The Miz was pinned and eliminated from the match, so we are down to five men. DiBiase looks strong as he fends for himself. The only remaining tag-team in the match is the team of Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly, but not for long, oh no! Rhodes and Holly whipped DiBiase to the ropes together, but DiBiase ran back. He clotheslined Rhodes over the top rope and delivered a stunning move to Holly. He locked in the Million Dollar Dream before delivering a cobra clutch legsweep taking Holly to the mat. He hooked Holly's legs, and then he was eliminated. We are down to Rhodes, DiBiase, Morrison and Finlay, with DiBiase's partner still yet to show. With DiBiase tackling Cody Rhodes, Morrison and Finlay did battle. Finlay lifted Morrison up for the Celtic Cross...! But Morrison wriggled free and grabbed Finlay in a side headlock. He then performed the Moonlight Drive, twisting Finlay's neck and temporarily incapacitating him. He went for the cover, and the team of Finlay and Hornswoggle are done for, totally out of the match. We are down to three men. DiBiase and Rhodes then stop fighting, smirking at eachother. They charge at Morrison and start beating down on him, the fans booing as they realize what is happening. DiBiase laughs and taunts the crowd as Rhodes pretty much knocks Morrison out with a flowing snap DDT. Rhodes goes for the cover and Morrison is eliminated. DiBiase and Rhodes raise their arms as the crowd boos. DiBiase grabs a microphone. "Please allow me to introduce to you, my tag team partner..." Before he can finish however, someone slides into the ring underneath the bottom rope. He leaps up and... RKO to Cody Rhodes! It's Randy Orton! Orton goes for the cover, 1...2...3! DiBiase manages to finish his sentence. "My tag team partner, Randy Orton!" The two superstars celebrate in the middle of the ring as the titles are handed to them.
WINNER(S): Ted DiBiase Jnr. and Randy Orton after 17:36 (new WWE World Tag Team Champions)
After the match, and all the men have returned backstage, the cameras cut to Mike Adamle standing backstage, that robotic smile on his face with a microphone up by his face.
Mike Adamle: Hello ladies and gentlemen, I am currently standing backstage with Cody Road, who just seemingly got screwed by Ted DiBiase a few minutes ago. Cody, what are your reactions?
Cody Rhodes: It's Rhodes you idiot, and I am pissed off! DiBiase, you are going to regret this. How DARE you betray like that? How DARE you screw me over for Randy Orton? You just made the biggest mistake of your life. NOBODY screws over Cody Rhodes!
Mike Adamle: But Cody, you yourself screwed Hardcore Bob, so really you only have yourself to blame.
Cody Rhodes: Shut up Adamle! You can even say anyone's name right, your opinion counts for nothing! DiBiase, this isn't over. I'm coming for the Tag Titles, and I will find someone who is ten times better than you or Orton, mark my words!
With that, Cody storms away, leaving Adamle looking as oblivious as ever. He shrugs, and with his patent smirk, the camera faded to ringside, more directly so on the Mick Foley and Jim Ross table.
Jim Ross: What a match we have just witnessed, and what a shock too: We all thought that Cody had betrayed his partner Bob Holly for Ted DiBaise Jnr, when in fact Ted Jnr had something up his sleeve, betraying Cody Rhodes with Orton! This is confusing stuff Mick.
Mick Foley: You bet, and I'm interested in what will be happening in the coming weeks with these men. We also saw a spat of sorts between the teams of Finlay and his son Hornswoggle and The Miz and John Morrison. I guess it's all the more reason to watch the inaugral "WWE Massacre" show tomorrow night!
Jim Ross: The night is not over yet folks, as coming up next we have a huge fatal four-way between 3 very ahtletic men and their mystery opponent. The original matches scheduled were Matt Hardy defending his United States Championship against former ECW Champion, Chavo Guerrero, and Chris Jericho defending the Intercontinental Championship against a mystery opponent, but of course, as all three brands were merged together, these matches were merged together, and now they will be fighting for the Global Championship - it is NOT one that you will want to miss.
Mick Foley: And of course, we've already had our fair share of mystery opponents... Will this match's mystery opponent snatch the victory? Let's find out.
MATCH THREE: WWE GLOBAL CHAMPIONSHIP Chris Jericho vs. Matt Hardy vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Mystery Opponent
The men made their respective ways to the ring in the order that they appear above. Jericho, Hardy and Guerrero stood in the ring, staring blankly up at the stage as they waited for their mystery opponent. Suddenly, the phrase "La Vittoria E Mia" was shouted out, and the crowd burst into choruses of jeers as Santino Marella walked out to the ring in his usual cocky and smug way. He was made a target right from the start, and as soon as he entered the ring, Matt Hardy, Chris Jericho and Chavo Guerrero all started stomping on his back so he couldn't even stand. Eventually, after a good ten seconds of stomping, Santino grabbed Chavo's legs and took them out from underneath him, allowing him to get up. He then did a somersault still holding Chavo's legs, landing ontop of him in a cover. Hardy and Jericho stood on and watched, as any elimination would be helpful. Chavo kicked out at 2, though he was close to being taken out by surprise. After that, Hardy and Jericho started battling it out in the lower left corner of the ring (according to the screen), and Santino fought Chavo in the upper right corner. In the lower left corner, Jericho was standing inside the corner as Hardy punched him in the stomach. Hardy took a step back and ran at Jericho going for a turnbuckle clothesline, but Jericho ducked and ran out the way causing Hardy to run into the corner. Jericho then grabbed Hardy by the midsection and planted him with a German suplex that he rolled into a pin. However, before the referee could start a count, Jericho kept the momentum going, rolling away from the pin and hitting a Northern Lights suplex! Hardy kicked out barely at 2, and the match continued. In the other corner, after this pin attempt, Chavo had lifted Santino onto the top rope. Chavo climbed up to the second rope and grabbed a hold of Santino's tights. He put Santino's arm around his neck and then leant backwards, planting Santino to the mat in a superplex. Santino arched his back in pain before Chavo pulled him up to his feet. Chavo then set Santino up for the Gory Bomb, however Santino go his feet free and hit Chavo with an inverse DDT. Santino then turns around and realizes that Chavo is down. Realizing his opportunity, he leaps to the second rope and climbs to the top rope. He then leaps off with his arms tucked in looking for the diving headbutt on Chavo, and it connects. Santino goes for the cover, and gets the all important three count. Chavo is eliminated and we are down to three men. Santino helps Jericho beat down Matt Hardy in the cneter of the ring. They pull Hardy to his feet and whip him towards the ropes, and as he comes back they deliver a double clothesline... or so they thought. Matt ducked and bounced off the opposite ropes, before drop-kicking both men's knees simultaneously! He then leaps to his feet and grabs Santino's head, delivering the Twist of Fate! He covers Santino, and yep, Santino is eliminated! We are down to the two title holders. Who will become the first ever Global Champion? Just as Matt gets up from the pinning predicament, Jericho runs at him and tackles him to the ground. He was going to make sure that he was the first Global Champion. Santino rolled out of the ring at this point. Jericho pulled Hardy to his feet and went for the Codebreaker, but Hardy pushed him away. Jericho went skidding across the ring, smacking his head into the steel post underneath the bottom rope. The referee rushed over to check on him as the crowd looked on in wonder and horror. Suddenly, Santino slid into the ring under the bottom rope with a steel chair in his hand. He proceeded to whack Hardy over the head with it twice before disappearing from the ring. The referee turned at the sound of the chair shots, but saw no chair or no culprit. He walked to the side of the ring, but saw no-one as Santino had crawled underneath. With this, Jericho pulled Hardy to his feet and nailed him with a perfect Codebreaker! He went for the cover. 1...2...3! Santino helped Jericho to victory!
WINNER: Chris Jericho after 19:21 (new WWE Global Champion
