Re: NLW - No Limit Wrestling

WrestleFest 08 Lineup

Six Man Scaffold Match NLW Television Title
Bret Hart (Champion) vs Shelton Benjamin vs Stevie Richards vs King Kong Bundy vs Edge vs Renee Dupree

Bret Hart has been the champion for nine shows, which is good considering the NLW Television Title gets tossed around between new comers and struggling wrestlers trying to get back into the limelight. Hart falls into catagory 2. Shelton Benjamin recently signed a contract extension and is looking to make huge waves by winning the scaffold match. Stevie Richards can have his impressive matches but when it comes down to winning a title, he just hasn't had what it took to get the strap. Will Wrestle Fest be different!? King Kong Bundy has always been dominant, will his dominance shine at Fest is the question! Edge is a former TNA champion but when TNA closed their doors, Edge faded away as well. Can Edge redeem some of the greatness he once had? Renee Dupree came to NLW to stop Rob Conway from winning the Intercontinental Title but has recently came into his own as a singles wrestler. Renee is one of the favorites in this scaffold match.

Steve Austin vs Joey Landis

Ever since Steve Austin signed to be the head man in charge of NLW, he has pushed who he thought deserved to be at the top. This caused resentment from Joey Landis as The Fabulous one decided to take matters into his own hand. On the 4-5-08 edition of NLW No Limit Warfare, Landis attacked Steve Austin in Austins return tag team match as Austin teamed with JBL taking on Rob Conway and Stevie Richards. Austin agreed to coincide with Landis's wishes and accepted a match at the grandest stage of them all! WrestleFest 08! If Joey Landis wins, he gets two guarenteed World Title Shots, NOT at any time he wants but it has to be fulfilled before 08 is over.

Legend Killer Match
Kurt Angle vs Randy Orton

Steve Austin was interested in seeing Kurt Angle and Randy Orton team and spoke on how to many fans, Angle and Ortons dominance in the past is very similar and these two competitors would be a dream team! Angle and Orton took on The Acolytes, Nathan Jones and Bradshaw and were successful! After Orton and Angle hugged in victory, Angle turned, posed to the crowd and turned back around only to be RKO'd in the middle of the ring! Orton spit in Angles face and challenged Angles career in a match at WrestleFest 08!

NLW Intercontinental Title Match
(Champion)"The Conman" Rob Conway vs " The Showstopper" Shawn Michaels

Ever since Rob Conway brought a new persona to the tables as he wanted to be known as The Conman, he has been nothing but successful. Taking out JBL, Edge and King Kong Bundy as challenges to take away his Intercontinental Title, finally, a challenger has risen from the rubble so to speak. Shawn Michaels was the runner up in this years No Limit Battle, therefore he was granted a match with The Conman at WrestleFest for the Intercontinental Title. Shawn Michaels one upped Conway at the press conference for WrestleFest but sucker punching Conway and giving him some sweet chin music. The Conman announced to the world in a sitdown interview with Steve Austin that he would not only successfully defend the Intercontinental title against Michaels, but it would be match of the night.

NLW World Title Elimination Match
Rey Mysterio (Champion) vs Mr. Kennedy vs John Bradshaw Layfield

Mr. Kennedy and John Bradshaw Layfield eliminated each other at the No Limit Battle. Therefore, Austin granted them both the title match at WrestleFest. JBL and Mr. Kennedy has totally disregarded Rey Mysterio and re-ignited their old feud, attacking each other during matches, cutting promos towards one another while Rey Mysterio hasn't appeared on NLW No Limit Warfare since he defeated Steve Blackman in a whopping 6 seconds. Rey announced that he would be training hard for the match in the Guerrero gym in Mexico.

Re: NLW - No Limit Wrestling

Yeah, in this diary, these two aren't the same people. Bradshaw is just a jobber to put over wrestlers. He's a powerhouse, nothing more. JBL on the other hand is great on the mic and while he has power, he has agility as well.

Like I said, this won't have anything to do with real life at all. I am trying to be very creative with this stuff. Nathan Jones and Bradshaw are known as the Acolytes.

Bret Hart by Shelton Benjamin. Shelton had gotten suplex by Renee Dupree before Renee took the three chair shots and Sheltons body slipped off of the scaffold but he caught the ledge and hung there and waited for either Shelton or Bret to be eliminated. Bret was celebrating as if he had won as Shelton drop kicked Brets back, sending Bret off the scaffold and into the crowd. Shelton held up the NLW Television Title while the camera panned his family celebrating as if Shelton just found out the cure to cancer.

Steve Austin vs Joey Landis; No Disqualification

The match began with Steve bombarding Joey with rights and lefts, sending Joey off the ropes and landing a lou thez press and throwing more punches. The crowd was exploding for Austin. Austin picked up Joey, kicked him in the gut and landed a stalling suplex which had the fans even more excited. Austin taunted to the ground, just long enough for Landis to get up and land a running knee to the face! This knocked Austin completely out. Landis picks up Austin and hits a deadly fisherman suplex for a one count. Landis stomps Austin to keep him on the ground. Landis goes to the top, MOONSAULT! Landis picks up Austin and throws him out of the ring. Landis reaches under the ring and grabs a chair. Landis lands a huge chairshot to Austins head. Landis through Austin up the rampway to the entrance. Landis hits a powerbomb on Austin on the stage. Austin looks like he's been broken in half!!! Landis picks up Austin. Landis hits the IT CAME FROM JAPAN 2(a modified suplex) off the stage, as Austin lands on the concrete on the outside! Austin isn't moving. Landis is laughing and throwing his hands up in the air. What the! A wrestlers comes from the stage and dropsault on Landis sending Landis flying down the rampway! The young guy runs down the ramp and lands a huge running forearm to Landis's face! The guy rolls Landis into the ring and as Joey stands up, the guy spring boards off the top rope and lands a hurricanrana! The guy goes to the top rope, SHOOTING STAR PRESS! He rolls out of the ring and grabs ahold of Steve Austin and rolls him into the ring and places him on top of Landis. 1...2...3!

Winner. - Steve Austin

After the match, Austin grabs the microphone.

SA - And who the hell do you think you are? I have never needed any help from anyone and I clearly had that under control.
*The guy takes the mic.*

Mystery - Listen... I just a chance! I've sent in promo tape after promo tape and I decided what better way to get the NLW owners attention then by helping him defeat Joey Landis!

SA - You want a shot? A shot at being on the NLW roster!? First of all, what's your name kid?

Mystery - My name? Well, my name is Paul London. I've wrestled all over the world and I just want a...

SA - Okay, okay... tomorrow night on No Limit Warfare, you will wrestler... hmm... Joey Landis. If you happen to win, a contract will be waiting for you.

Paul London - Thank you! I'll get to preparing, thanks so much!

*London goes to shake Austins hand but Austin just stares at him pissed off. London runs off.*

Legend Killer Match
Kurt Angle vs Randy Orton

The match begins with Orton having the upperhand. A lot of reversals by Kurt Angle though. Angle went for the moonsault by Orton moved as Orton started taunting for the RKO. Orton jumped in the air for the RKO but Angle spears his back and locks on the ankle lock! Orton struggles to the ropes but gets the ropes. Angle took the straps down and yells. Orton goes for a clothesline, Angle ducks, ANGLE SLAM! Angle gets the pin 1, 2, 3.

Winner - Kurt Angle (Therefore, Angles career continues!)

NLW Intercontinental Title Match
"The Conman" Rob Conway vs " The Showstopper" Shawn Michaels

Fans were saying this was match of the night. Conway proved he can go toe to toe with the Showstopper. Michaels hit a moonsault to the outside on a standing Conway as the fans went nuts. Conway was the comeback wrestler in this match as Michaels beat him down most of the match. Michaels made one mistake by going for the sweet chin music too early as Conway caught the foot, spun him around and hit his finishing manuever, a modified neck breaker.

NLW World Title Elimination Match
Rey Mysterio (Champion) vs Mr. Kennedy vs John Bradshaw Layfield

Kennedy and JBL brawled at the beginning. John was landing clothesline from hell after clothesline from hell to each Kennedy and Rey. JBL looked to be the favorite of the match showing his dominance. JBL body pressed Rey into Kennedy twice. Kennedy finally cut off JBL by giving a huge shoulder to JBLs knee. Kennedy and JBL didn't pay much attention to Rey. Kennedy kept JBL isolated and any time Mysterio would come to help, Kennedy would big boot Mysterio. Finally, Kennedy hit his finisher the Nuff Said (razors edge) to JBL, Mysterio spring boarded off the top rope and landed a dropkick to Kennedy as Kennedy flew through the middle rope as Mysterio caught the pin on JBL for the 3 count.

Winner - Rey Mysterio

Re: NLW - No Limit Wrestling

No Limit Warfare Preview

Paul London, a wrestler that is hungry for an NLW contract will be fed to the lions! A wrestler trained by Triple H, Joey Landis will be stepping into the ring with Paul London. If London pulls the upset on former NLW World Champion Joey Landis, Steve Austin will come out and give a pen and contract to Paul London as the world will witness one of the indy wrestling scenes best wrestler get signed to a 12 month contract.

Rob Conway pulled one of the biggest upsets in the history of professional wrestler. Conway was part of the great tag team to ever be created next to The Hardy Boyz, that being La Resistance along side Renee Dupree. Conway still has a long way to go to become known as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. Conway is set to defend the NLW Intercontinental Title against former UFC competitor, Ken Shamrock! Shamrock has been in talks to return to NLW for close to a year and now that he is back, he looks to become the NLW Intercontinental Champion and in his words, "Restore greatness to a title that has been crapped on for months!". Shamrock plans on bringing intensity and honor back to the Intercontinental title division.

Steve Austin was very impressed with Shelton Benjamins NLW Television Title win so he wouldn't mind testing Sheltons skill against Ken Kennedy. Austin said that since Kennedy was upset at Wrestle Fest, Sheltons hard fought title win won't be put on the line. The match will be a non-title match.

Rey Mysterio has retained the NLW World Heavyweight Championship! In the biggest upset in NLW history, he defied ALL odds and defeated John Bradshaw Layfield and Ken Kennedy. No one believed in Rey, no one thought he could do it and now that he has... what's in store for Rey? Rey will be coming out to the ring for a short celebration ceremony and a speech on what he plans on doing next.

ALSO - A number 1 contenders fatal four way match for the NLW World Heavyweight Title. Three of the wrestlers in this match have been announced. It will be Bret The Hitman Hart, taking on Shawn Michaels taking on Kurt Angle who will be taking on one more mystery wrestler. Who could it possibly be?

Re: NLW - No Limit Wrestling

My Ratings:

Match Making: 7/10. I know you said its not realistic but im just having too much trouble picturing Bundy & Hart in a scaffold match.

Match Writing: 8/10. Not much wrong here, but a little on the sort side in some matches.

Promos: 4/10. All one of them was good. If you can add more it'll improve your show.

Spelling/Grammer: 7/10. Again not much wrong.

Flow: 5/10. You need something to go from match to match. It can be a segment or a simple one line to shift the focus.

Overall: 62%. A decent start but with more promos etc it will improve.
