Special note for W-D: This Book It is written in the style of another forum. Therefore, alot of this will seem a bit weird. Shows are booked in the game EWR (Extreme Warfare Revenge) for the purpose of getting ratings. No results are copied and pasted.

In this Book It, italicized text represents out of character stuff. I just wanted to let people know a few things first. This backstory is not intended to be everything, its purpose is to just explain the screwjob and how things got to WPW. I'll talk about my general plans for this Book It. I plan to do 2 shows a week with PPVs. The first show is Wasteland on the USA Network on Tuesdays in prime time. The other is Breakdown on NBC on Fridays in prime time. The more extreme stuff I plan to do will be on Wasteland (of course), but the rest will be on Breakdown. This Book It will be somewhat similar to WWE, but darker. I plan to write the shows with short match descriptions, but detailed storylines. I'm not going to give away TV matches prior to the show, like most people do (for dramatic effect), but I will write a preview. There will be color in the shows, but I don't think it would help out the backstory. Oh and in case you were wondering, WPW stands for Worldwide Pro Wrestling, though WPW is the main name used. With that out of the way, I'll get on with the backstory.

One night, Microsoft founder Bill Gates watched an episode of WWE Raw. He decided that what wrestling needed was a true Undisputed Champion. His efforts to get the promotions to air a joint show to determine an undisputed champion failed because all the promotions have their own goals. So, he decided that he had to buy the promotions. He was able to buy every North American indy and TNA, but Vince McMahon refused to sell his promotion. Right as Bill Gates decided to give up, he got a call.

Bill Gates: hello
Voice: Lets get right to the point. I'm not happy with WWE's plans to put the titles on Chris Jericho and Rob Van Dam @ Wrestlemania 22. Vince won't give in.
Bill Gates: Who is this?
Voice: Don't you recognize my voice, I'm Paul Levesque, but you probably know me as Triple H. Vince just left the company in my hands, since he is currently sidelined. Would you be willing to take this company off my hands. All you have to do is offer a booker job with absolute control of the company.
Bill Gates: What you are doing is wrong, but I'm more than willing to take the offer. We will own the name WWE and put all of WWE's trademarks that we don't want into the public domain.
Triple H: I knew you'd see things my way. I'll fly out to Seattle tomorrow to make the deal. But just one thing, I want the sale to take effect after Wrestlemania 21. I believe that my friend who wrestles by the name Batista should have his chance to win the title.
Bill Gates: Its a deal.

After the greatest Pay Per View in the history of wrestling (Wrestlemania 21), WPW was born. Triple H hired all of his friends and all top stars with decent ability. He also hired a bunch of undercard guys. There were also a large number of divas that got jobs. A tournament for the Undisputed Title was announced which will take place over 3 months (7 Breakdowns of 4 matches, the semi-finals on a PPV and then the final as the main event of the biggest PPV of the year).
