Re: TNA 2008

I've only seen a few episodes of Impact! (the real one) so I don't have a ton to base my review on. But I do enjoy your writing. I like that it's in paragraph form, and the way you bold people's names makes it easier to read.

Plus, you do what I do and mix action with description, which I enjoy. It's one thing to just throw up results, but to paint a picture for the reader to try and get them to imagine what you're imagining is your biggest strength.

Good work, I enjoy reading these. Keep it up. And maybe it'll make me become a bigger TNA fan!

Re: TNA 2008

February 29th 2008

Austin Creed def. Cloudy via pin fall. Creed again impresses & it is only a matter of time before he is challenging for gold in TNA.

Senshi def. Sonjay Dutt via Submission. Senshi gets the win with an Octopus Stretch. After the match Team 3D jumped Senshi & put him through a table for good measure.

Johnny Devine def. Elix Skipper via DQ. Skipper gets DQed when he wraps a steel chair around the head of his opponent. Skipper did have to contend with Team 3D;s interference but he completely lost it at the end.

March 6th 2008

We open iMPACT! in similar fashion to last week, with Jim Cornette in the ring, mic in hand. Cornette tells us he has three more announcements to make this week, all regarding Destination X this Sunday. Cornette makes his first announcement. A Four Team Elimination Match for The Number one Contendership at Destination X. Cornette tells us he has been flooded with E-Mail's, Text Messages & Phone Calls from four teams, all claiming to be worthy of a title shot. Cornette tells us he has decided to let them prove they deserve it. At Destination X, it will be Ms. Brooks team of Andy Douglas & Chase Stevens, The Naturals facing off against Team 3D, Triple X & the team who lost the last tag team title match in TNA, The Outlaw & Kevin Nash. Cornette tells them to beat the hell out of each other.

Cornette then makes his second announcement, regarding the TNA Knockouts Championship. Cornette reminds us of what happened last week when Awesome Kong faced Velvet Sky in singles action. Cornette informs us that he has since been contacted by Angelina Love.

Angelina Love has asked for a chance at revenge. Cornette has agreed to give it to her but he wont be held responsible if she gets hurt. Love didn't mind so Cornette made the match. At Destination X Awesome Kong will defend her TNA Knockouts Title against Angelina Love.

Now we move onto the main event. Cornette tells us he wanted to do this last week but couldn't get it finalized in time. So it had to wait. Cornette tells us he is going to announce the teams for Elimination X. Cornette introduces the captain of Team Number One. He is the Current TNA X-Division Champion Black Machismo Jay Lethal. Machismo comes to the top of the ramp & does a couple of poses before his music dies down. The second member of his team is introduced as "The Guru" Sonjay Dutt. Sonjay comes out beside Lethal & hugs him, all the while with a huge smile on his face. The third member is introduced as The Cult Favourite, from the Deep Blue Sea, Shark Boy. Shark Boy comes onto the stage to quite a large reaction. Dutt gives Shark Boy a hug but Shark Boy doesn't return the gesture. Instead he shoves The Guru off him & starts mouthing off at him.

The fourth member is introduced as a Pioneer of the X-Division, he is the former TNA X-Division Champion, Jerry Lynn. Lynn comes onto the stage to an impressive pop. The fans have clearly missed the veteran. Member number five is introduced as an Indie Darling, he is Austin Aries. Aries comes onto the stage to a less favourable reaction & this seems to annoy him. He shoves Sonjay Dutt off him before mouthing off to the fans.

Back in the ring now & Jim Cornette looks pretty pleased with the reaction, most of the team got sans Austin Aries. Cornette goes on to Introduce the opposition. First, Representing the Latin American Xchange, Homicide. Homicide comes onto the stage to a nice pop. Homicide does a few LAX poses until Cornette begins to introduce the second member of the team. Representing Team 3D, he is "Hotshot" Johnny Devine. Devine comes onto the stage & is met by a chorus of boos. Homicide gets in his face, clearly not going to let his crusade against the X-Division go. Both men go nose to nose but not much else happens. Meanwhile Jim Cornette is introducing the third member. He is another former X-Division champion, he is Maverick Matt Bentley. Bentley comes out to a mixed reaction. Some fans are glad to see him back, others were glad to see the back of him.

The fourth member is introduced as the notorious K.I.D., he is Kid Kash. Kash comes out to the worst reaction yet. Nearly the entire iMPACT! Zone is booing him, but Kash seems to enjoy it as the cocky smile on his face suggests. Cornette then tells us he has saved the biggest until last. The Captain of the team, he is a multi-time TNA Triple Crown Winner, he is The Phenomenal AJ Styles! Styles comes out to mostly cheers but with a few boos mixed in. He pushes his way past his team-mates to the front where he poses for the fans. AJ makes a title belt signal as we go the really late opening credits.

Back to iMPACT! & we are ready for our first match. Black machismo has remained at ringside while his opponent Jimmy Rave is making his entrance. Rave is accompanied by lance Hoyt & is being cheered on from the commentary booth by Christy Hemme.

A lot of back & forth action accompanied by several near falls for both men. The finish came when Jimmy Rave took a big chance & went for a moonsault. He missed. Machismo got a head of steam & it was all downhill from Rave from here on out. Machismo over whelmed Rave & hit the Lethal Combination for the win. After the match Lance Hoyt got involved.

Hoyt hit Machismo from behind with a high lariat. Hoyt proceeded to beat down the double champion while Rave struggled to his feet. Samoa Joe made the run in for the save before any more damage could be done. Hoyt drags the still woozy Rave back up the ramp as Joe checks on his beaten partner.

Backstage we see The Steiner Brothers exiting their car. Scott goes to the trunk while Rick pulls his jacket on. With Scott's head in the trunk Rick is attacked from behind. Rick gets his head smashed through the side window by the returning Tyson Dux. Dux has been a member of Team Canada just before the disbanded. Scott Steiner started to give chase but chose to tend to his brother instead. Scott is screaming for help as the camera zooms out.

In another area of the arena Velvet Sky is sitting in a wheelchair being pushed by Angelina Love. Velvet Sky is trying to convince Love to no-show the match at Destination X so she doesn't get hurt. Love is refusing & is instant on facing Kong. Sky says she wont see her friend hurt & will make sure of it. They go out of view before Sky can elaborate any more.

Next up is the Mix 'n' Match. Petey Williams is first to the ring accompanied by Robert Roode & Coach Scott D'Amore. His partner is "Wildcat" Chris Harris accompanied by "Cowboy" James Storm. The five men seem to be on the same page as they discuss tactics in the ring. Eric Young is next out but he is alone. The pyro as per usual nearly gives him a heart attack. Eric is anxious being alone at ringside but he is relieved when Scott Steiner's entrance music plays. However, it soon dies down with no sign of Big Poppa Pump. Steiner appears on the big screen. He is helping load Rick into an ambulance. Someone is heard telling him he has a match, to which Steiner replies with screw the match. Steiner gets into the ambulance with his brother. Back at ringside & Eric is looking more nervous than ever as Petey & Harris corner him. Both men grab Eric & throw him into the corner where they proceed to take turns in stomping him flat.

Petey then drags Eric to his feet & holds him in place. Harris connects with a super kick that knocks Eric out on his feet. Petey turns him & hits the Canadian Destroyer for the three count. Harris dumps Eric out of the ring as the five men celebrate a relatively easy nite.

We cut backstage now where Rhino is getting ready for his match up. Raven is also present but isn't saying or doing much. Raven eventually speaks. He tells Rhino he knows how James Mitchell works so he will arrange some back up for Destination X, just in case. Rhino doesn't seem to have heard him as he continues warming up.

Out in the parking lot Kevin Nash is heading home after doing... something to get a paycheck. He is surrounded by security guards. Its a good thing too as it isn't long before BG James tries to ambush him. The security grab him quickly & drag him away as Nash keeps walking. On the other side of the parking lot, Scott D'Amore has run to catch up with Johnny Devine. D'Amore congratulates Devine on being picked for Elimination X & wishes him all the luck. Devine says thanks & goes to leave. D'Amore pulls him back. D'Amore asks Devine to rejoin Team Canada. Devine doesn't hesitate in turning him down. Devine says he isn't going to stand in the background & be pushed around again, he's happy with his current position. Devine walks off again while D'Amore looks confused.

Tag Team Action next as Black Reign & RelliK take on The Motor City Machine Guns. The Machine Guns bring Kaz with them to the ring while Booker T stays backstage out of harms way. RelliK was taken out of the match by the ASCS Combination attack. This left Black Reign to try & keep up with the super charged Machine Guns. Shelley & Sabin moved at lightening speed to disorientate Black Reign & finish him off with a double Super kick for the three count. After the match Kaz grabbed a mic & issued a challenge for Destination X. Kaz wants to end this thing with Booker & his cronies. Kaz proposes a 6 man tag match. Booker T, Black Reign & RelliK vs Kaz & The Machine Guns. Black Reign & RelliK seem to accept but will Booker T?

Jim Cornette is in his office relaxing & enjoying the quietness for a change. That is, until Ms. Brooks barges in accompanied by The Naturals. Brooks gets straight to the point. She tells Cornette that The Naturals will have their title match at Lockdown in April. Cornette tries to explain that they have to win the match first but Brooks isn't interested as she turns & walks away. The Naturals follow. Cornette shakes his head & sits back down to relax but is again interrupted. This time by Team 3D. Brother Ray says he wants to congratulate Jimbo. He wants to congratulate him on finally getting his head out of his ass & giving Team 3D a title opportunity. Ray tells Cornette to start promoting it now. At Lockdown, Team 3D become the TNA Tag team Champions again. Devon does his testify routine before they both leave.

Main Event time on iMPACT! now. "The War Machine" Rhino gets a second chance to make himself a title contender after Abyss & Judas Mesias cost him his last chance. "The Instant Classic" on the other hand is looking for some momentum going into his match at Destination X where he doesn't even know who he will be facing.

Christian Cage is first to the ring, he comes out alone & is checking the crowd for any sign of the masked man. Confidant he is not in the vicinity, cage gets into the ring & becomes his usual self. Rhino comes out alone also but again gets jumped by Mesias & Abyss. This time however, Rhino was ready. Rhino fights back until Raven comes to his aid. A four man brawl is about to break out when security move in & separate them. Rhino pulls his shirt off & charges to the ring for his match.

Cage & Rhino give us another great match that could have went either way. Cage took control when Rhino Gored the ring post. Cage worked on the shoulder of the War machine for the rest of the match. cage tried to get Rhino to submit using several arm holds but The War machine fought on. Rhino would get back on top when he hit Cage with a spine buster out of the blue. Rhino set up for another Gore but Cage again moved, sending Rhino shoulder first into the turnbuckles. Cage doesn't follow up as he has spotted the masked man on the stage. The masked man stays where he is & doesn't look like interfering but is ultimately the cause of the finish. Cage turns his attention back to Rhino & gets a Gore for taking his eye off the ball. Rhino covers the champ & gets the three count. Rhino falls out of the ring whilst holding his shoulder but satisfied with his work. Cage manages to crawl to the ropes to pull himself to his knees. Cage stares a hole through the masked man who is wearing a shirt that simply reads Who's Next?

Re: TNA 2008

Destination X opens with a video package highlighting the history of Elinination X. The video ends with the announcement from Jim Cornette a few weeks ago on iMPACT! when he announced it was returning & it was going to be the main event of the X-Division's Pay-Per-View, Destination X.

Due to the X-Division Champion being in the main event but also being in the tag team title match we open with Samoa Joe & Black Machismo defending Lance Hoyt & Jimmy Rave, The R0ock 'n' Rave Infection. The build up to the match is shown before hand. From Christy Hemme ordering the Rock 'n' Rave Infection to take out Don West, to Samoa Joe & Black Machismo saving Mike Tenay the next week from a similar fate & everything up to last week when Jimmy Rave took on Black Machismo in singles action on iMPACT!

Black Machismo is the first man out. He does his now signature poses as he makes his way to the ring. His partner, "The Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe is next out. Their opponents are cheered on by their one & only fan, sitting at the commentary table, Christy Hemme. Hoyt & rave bring out their toy guitars but once they get to the ring, its all business.

Joe & Machismo seemingly had a plan, let Joe do the majority of the work so Machismo can conserve himself. It didn't work out that way as Hoyt & Rave isolated Machismo in their corner & made quick tags followed by double team moves. Rave & Hoyt got several near falls that got closer to three every time. Joe eventually lost patience & ran into the ring to clear house. he dragged the hurting Machismo to their corner before going back outside to legally tag himself in. Joe came in & dominated Rave & Hoyt who despite their quick tags were not nowhere near as fresh as the Samoan Submission machine. Joe hit both men with a double face wash in the corner. Hoyt fell out of the ring as a result of the impact. Joe hoisted Rave to the top rope & hit a Muscle Buster. Joe doesn't go for the pin, but instead locks in the Chiquita Clutch for the submission Victory.

Joe & Machismo stay in-ring to celebrate their hard fought victory when The Naturals jump the guard rails. Andy Douglas catches Samoa Joe with a dropkick to the back while Chase Stevens takes down Machismo with a chop lock. Joe is sent out of the ring as Lance Hoyt joins in the beating. Hoyt & the dazed Jimmy Rave assault Joe on the outside while the Naturals wear down Machismo in the ring. Sonjay Dutt makes the run-in in an attempt to save his partner later tonight in Elimination X. Dutt gets hit with The Natural Disaster before long. Shark Boy & Jerry Lynn are next out but are cut off by Matt Bentley & Kid Kash. Bentley & Kash brawl with Shark Boy & Jerry Lynn on the entrance ramp as all four men look to gain an early advantage for the main event. Austin Aries runs to the ring unnoticed by the other competitors. Aries gets to the ring but stops short of entering. Aries instead grabs a steel chair from ringside.

Aries climbs into the the ring as the Naturals back up a little. Aries hands the chair to Douglas & tells him to use it while he stands guard. The Naturals hit Machismo with The Natural Disaster onto the steel chair. Aries then gets a few shots in on his partner later tonight. The three men are then joined in the ring by Ms. Brooks. Ms. Brooks goes over & shakes the hand of Austin Aries signaling their alliance. Shark Boy, Lynn, Bentley & Kash have all disappeared backstage. Sonjay is being carried to the back half conscious by referees while security pulls Hoyt & rave off of Samoa Joe.

A video package airs highlighting the feud between The Steiner Brothers & the re-formed Team Canada. Footage is shown first of Rick Steiner making his return to cost Petey Williams a world title match as well as an X-Division title match. Next is A-1 attacking The Steiners on iMPACT!, the video finishes with footage of Tyson Dux smashing Rick Steiners head through a car window on Thursday.

Oh Canada! is first on he loudspeakers as Petey Williams & Robert Roode make their way to the ring with Coach Scott D'Amore waving the Canadian Flag high above his head. Tyson Dux & A-1 bring up the rear. Scott Steiner's entrance music plays but he comes out alone with a mic in hand. Scott tells us that Rick Steiner is still in the hospital after what happened on Thursday. Team Canada fake concern in the ring. Scott goes on to say that he doesn't have many friends in this industry but tonight he's going to need one. Steiner says he is throwing out an open invitation to anyone in the back who wants to step up & get one of the briefcases for winning. Steiner continues to the ring in the hopes that someone will show up.

Steiner is in the ring ready for action but still no-one has shown up. The match starts regardless. Petey Williams gets in Steiners face & mocks him over what happened to Rick. Steiner nearly takes Petey's head off with a clothesline as a result. Petey crawls over to his corner & tags in Roode. Roode comes in & goes nose to nose with Steiner. At that moment My World plays on the loudspeakers. The King of the Mountain comes out onto the ramp to a deafening ovation. Jeff Jarrett makes his way to the ring & climbs up onto the apron where Rick Steiner would have been. Jarrett immediately wants a tag in. Steiner gives him one. Jarrett tells Roode he hasn't forgotten about the last time they were in the same ring as the match kicks off.

Steiner & Jarrett go through the match on crowd reaction alone. Every time Team Canada got any momentum they were cut off within seconds. Tyson Dux & A-1 got ejected from ringside after one to many attempts at interference. The fans sing them out of the arena. Steiner gets Petey & lifts him above his head & holds him there for what seems like an eternity. Steiner eventually drops Petey onto the outside. Roode doesnt make a tag before jumping into the ring & attacking Steiner from behind.

Roode pumbles Steiner in the corner until Jeff Jarrett grabs him by the hair. Jarrett drags Roode off of Steiner & the two proceed to punch each other as hard as they can. Roode comes off the better as he punches Jarrett out of the ring. Roode forgets about Steiner & pays for it. Steiner catches him with a high clothesline to the back of the head, eerily similar to Roode's former finishing maneuver, The Northern Lariat. With Roode down Steiner locks in the Steiner Recliner. Earl Hebner tries to tell Steiner that Roode isn't the legal man but is having no luck. Petey Williams gets back into the ring & breaks the hold with a missile dropkick from the top rope. Petey quickly grabs Steiner & somehow hits him with a Canadian Destroyer. Petey covers Steiner & gets the three count to claim both Briefcases for Team Canada.

Petey & Roode quickly exit the ring as Jeff Jarrett climbs back in to check on his partner for the evening. Jarrett tells Roode that this isn't over as he backs up the ramp with D'Amore & Petey.

We go backstage where Angelina Love is pushing Velvet Sky's wheelchair again. Sky seems much more confidant today than the last time we saw her. Love is asking her what has she done but Sky wont tell. A short video package airs next showing us Awesome Kong's reign of dominance up to & including Velvet Sky two weeks ago on iMPACT! Angelina Love is first out, she comes out alone. Velvet Sky is shown on the big screen watching backstage.

Awesome Kong comes out looking in a pretty foul mood as Raisha Saeed leads her to the ring. Love charges at Kong while she gets into the ring to jump start the match. Love's offence is however short lived as Kong soon hits a discus backhand to sends Love into the corner. Kong charges & crushes Love in the corner. Velvet Sky makes her way to the ringside area with a concerned look on her face. Kong makes eye contact with Sky before hitting Love with an Awesome Bomb for the three count.

Kong quickly exits the ring & heads for Velvet Sky. Sky tries to move away but Saeed cuts her off. Kong grabs Sky by the hair & throws her into the ring. Kong corners a terrified Velvet Sky until she is hit from behind with a steel chair. Angelina Love is still down & out however. Kong falls forward & out of the ring to the floor with a hard thud. Kong looks back to the ring to see her attacker. She See's Jazz standing in the middle of the ring holding the TNA Knockouts Championship in her hand & the steel chair in the other.

Jazz helps Velvet Sky back to her feet before tending to Angelina Love as Awesome Kong & Raisha Saeed make their way backstage still fuming & without the title belt. Next up is the four corners match to determine the Number one contenders for the TNA Tag team Championships.

The Naturals are first out, but not for the first time tonight. Footage is shown of them attacking Black Machismo earlier tonight after his successful Tag title defence. The Naturals are accompanied to the ring by Ms. Brooks. Next out is Elix Skipper & Senshi of Triple xXx. Team 3D follow along with Johnny Devine who will be competing later tonight in Elimination X. The last team out are also the least experienced as a team, Kevin Nash & The Outlaw. This match is single team elimination. Once you are pinned or submit you team has blown their shot at becoming number one contenders.

It isn't long before BG James once again tries to get revenge against Kevin Nash & The Outlaw. This time however, he was successful. BG James came to the ring & chased off the legal man The Outlaw. Rudy Charles had no choice other than to count him out & eliminate him & Nash from the match. Nash is irate & gives Elix Skipper a Jackknife despite just being an innocent bystander. Brother Ray takes advantage & quickly pins Skipper to eliminate Triple xXx. Two teams eliminated in the first two minutes.

A lot of back & forth action between the two teams looking to get into the title picture. Johnny Devine tried to grope Ms. Brooks & got slapped for it. This resulted in both being ejected from ringside. Devine left without a fight but Brooks was refusing to leave. Rudy Charles was trying to lead Brooks up the ramp when Austin Aries came from the crowd with a lead pipe in his hand. Aries cracked Devon's ankle as he stood on the apron. Devon collapses in pain onto the floor as Aries slides the lead pipe across to Chase Stevens who was on the apron on the other side.

Stevens holds the pipe behind his back as Aries exits through the crowd. Rudy Charles has gotten rid of Brooks but See's Devon down & with his wrestling boot off holding his ankle. Rudy goes to check on him & calls for medics. Meanwhile Andy Douglas whips Brother Ray into the Naturals corner so Stevens can crack his skull with the pipe. Ray falls forwards & lands hard in the middle of the ring unconscious. Stevens quickly disposes of the pipe by dumping it under the ring. The Naturals drag Ray to his feet & hit him with the Natural Disaster. Rudy Charles See's the double team move & climbs back into the ring as Douglas makes the pin on Ray. Rudy Charles raises the hands of The Naturals in victory confirming them as Number one contenders for the TNA World Tag Team Championships.

While The Naturals celebrate their victory in ring we cut backstage where BG James has caught The Outlaw. BG is hitting The Outlaw with everything hat isn't nailed down & throwing him into everything that is. BG scoop slams The outlaw in the parking lot & then open his car door. BG is heard saying he's going to end it now. Kevin Nash is quickly on the scene as hits BG from behind with a trashcan. Nash then rams BG head first into a brick wall knocking him unconscious. Nash stands over BG & tells him he has crossed the line tonight. Nash challenges the unconscious BG to match at Lock down. Nash & The Outlaw vs BG & a partner, whoever loses, if fired from TNA.

A video package airs highlighting the events that have brought us to this six man tag match. It begins with Black Reign & RelliK beating down Kaz at Final Resolution, continues to show Kaz getting Booker T as his partner to fight the monsters. The video then turns dark as Booker T turns on Kaz at Against All Odds. We see Booker claiming Kaz was riding him to the top, Kaz trying to overcome the 3 on 1 odds before announcing his backup. The Motor City Machine Guns.

Black Reign, RelliK & Booker T all come out under Booker's entrance music. Booker is at the forefront as the two monsters trail behind him. Kaz & The Machine Guns have no such divide. The three men come out together & all share the spotlight.

Black Reign is again taken out of the match due to the speed advantage of the opposition. Kaz finishes Black Reign's night when he hits him with the Wave of the Future on the steel ramp way. Black Reign is lifeless while Kaz feels the pain. Back in the ring RelliK is also a victim of The speed of the Machine Guns. RelliK is swinging but is only catching empty air each time. The Machine Guns are hitting every time. RelliK is taken out of the ring after a ASCS Combination. RelliK stays on his feet for a few second before falling on his face & rolling out of the ring. Booker, seeing he is alone against three men pretends to be an honorable man by saying he has no beef with the Machine Guns & he wants to settle it with Kaz one-on-one. The Machine Guns don't bite & give him a double Super kick. Kaz, has recovered enough to hit another Wave of the Future & make the pin for the victory.

The Machine Guns & Kaz celebrate in the ring, Black Reign still hasn't moved on the ramp way, Booker is out in the ring whereas RelliK is now back on his feet. RelliK surveys the damage before shaking his head & walking backstage, stepping over Black Reign as he goes. Back in the ring, Booker T is starting to come to. Kaz pulls him to his feet before offering a handshake. Booker looks surprised by this but accepts it none the less. As Booker goes to walk away, Kaz pulls him back & hits another Wave of the Future much to the delight of the crowd. The Machine Guns then hoist Kaz up onto their shoulders as he soaks in the fans reaction.

As The Machine Guns & Kaz leave the ring, the camera cuts backstage where Eric Young is knocking on Sting's locker-room door but isn't getting an answer. Eric tries the door but it's locked. Jeremy Borash reminds Eric he has a match next & Sting is a pro, he wont be late for it. Eric agrees then heads off towards the arena.

Chris Harris & James Storm are out first, both with beers in hand. Eric Young is next, he looks a little nervous however as he still hasn't heard from Sting. The lights go out as Sting descends from the rafter much to the amazement of Eric Young.

Harris & Storm keep Sting out of the match for as long as they can as they focus on Eric Young. Young eventually blocks yet another double team move with a double clothesline. Young slowly crawls across to Sting who has had very little ring time until now. Sting comes in all fired up as he dumps Storm out of the ring within seconds. Harris clubs Sting in the back but it has no effect. Sting turns to face Harris who then tries a right hand to Sting, it also has no effect. Sting gets himself fired up & blocks another right hand attempt with one of his own.

Sting hits Harris with a series of chops that send him back into the corner. Sting hits a few more chops before going to the far side of the ring. Sting gets up a head of steam & hits the Stinger Splash on Harris. Harris stumbles out & Sting hits him with a Scorpion Death Drop. Sting grabs the legs of Harris & locks in the Scorpion Death Lock. Harris screams in pain as he desperately tries to reach the ropes but Sting pulls him back to the centre of the ring each time. After the third near rope break Sting leans back fully, Harris cant go anywhere as he raises his hand to tap out. But he gets saved at the last second. James Storm hits Sting with The Last Call to the back of the head. Storm makes the cover as Harris grabs the leg of Eric Young to avoid the pin being broken up.

Eric Young kicks away at the floored Chris Harris until James Storm hits him from behind. Storm & Young trade shots until Harris hits Young with a low blow. Storm quickly hits Young with The Last Call before leaving the ring as Sting gets back to his feet. Harris & Storm celebrate the stolen victory as they head backstage.

A video package next airs the brutality that has become Abyss & Judas Mesias facing Raven & Rhino in a death match tonight. We see Rhino saving Abyss, Abyss turning on Rhino on iMPACT!, Raven stepping up to help Rhino, Abyss & Mesias costing Rhino a potential World Title Match.

Judas Mesias & Abyss come out together accompanied by James Mitchell who is barking orders at both of his men. Raven is next out as he brings a shopping cart overflowing with weapons to the ring with him. Raven tosses the weapons into the ring as Mesias & Abyss try to avoid them. Rhino is last out. As soon as he comes onto the stage The War machine charges to the ring.

With all four men down & Abyss busted open thanks to a bowling ball to the head from Raven, RelliK makes his way to the ring. Mitchell looks confused by this but it soon turns to delight as RelliK throws Raven into the corner & starts to beat him down. Unbeknown to RelliK however, Rhino is back on his feet & stalking his pray. RelliK turns, Rhino charges, RelliK sidesteps, Rhino hits his partner with a Gore. Raven rolls out of he ring in pain as RelliK smashes a flower pot over the head of Rhino. Judas Mesias meets RelliK eye to eye before dropping & pinning the unconscious Rhino.

James Mitchell grabs a bag from under the ring & hands it to Abyss inside the ring. Mitchell tells him to finish Rhino. Abyss opens the bag & pours the mixture of broken glass & thumbtacks onto the canvas. Mesias & RelliK leave the ring to allow Abyss room to do the deed. However, Raven climbs back into the ring with a chair in hand. Raven cracks Abyss across the spine with the chair sending him out of the ring. Mitchell is furious with Abyss & begins to scream at him. Raven helps Rhino back to his feet in the ring. Raven then turns on Rhino & hits him with The Raven Effect on the tacks & glass. Rhino rolls around screaming in pain whilst holding his head as Raven exits the ring & stands beside James Mitchell on the ramp way. They look each other in the eye before smiling. James Mitchell has just assembled a savage team of monsters & outcasts.

We see a video now showing how Christian Cage got to tonight. It starts with his victory over Kurt Angle at Against All Odds & finishes with the masked man wearing the Who's Next Shirt on iMPACT!

Christian is first to the ring but he isn't his usual self. Cage looks quite nervous as he should be if the masked man is who we suspect. The lights dim as Christians Entrance music dies down & is replaced by silence. A dull blue spotlight shines at the entrance tunnel as the masked man comes onto the stage. He stops atop the stage & rips off the who's next shirt before throwing it to the ground. The masked man looks towards Cage in the ring as he opens the back of his mask. The masked man pulls the chin strap open & grabs hold ready to pull it off as the lights dim some more. The mask is pulled off to reveal The Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels!

Cage is in shock as he prepared for a polar opposite. He prepared for a big power based wrestler with no talent but he has gotten a quick technical based wrestler who has tons of talent. Daniels makes his way to the ring never taking his eyes off of Cage. Daniels slides into the ring. The bell rings to start the match. Cage charges at Daniels who ducks down as Cage crashes into the turnbuckles. cage stumbles back, Daniels kicks Cage in the ribs & hits The Angel Wings! Daniels turns over Cage & gets the three count in record quick time! Daniels takes his belt & celebrates into the crowd. Who are chanting Welcome Back to the new Triple Crown Winner & more importantly, the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

After a replay of the entire match, Jeremy Borash is in the ring ready to introduce the main event. Team Machismo is first out. Black Machismo comes to the ring & is met by Shark Boy, Jerry Lynn & Sonjay Dutt. Austin Aries stays on the outside. Team Styles is out next. AJ Styles leads Johnny Devin, Matt Bentley & Kid Kash to ring while Homicide as per usual comes from the crowd with Shelley Martinez. Aries demands that he start the match & his team mates let him. Homicide starts for Team Styles.

The first elimination was that of Johnny Devine. Devine was in trouble when his team mates refused to tag & leaving him alone against five men. Black machismo got the pin after The Lethal Combination. Team Styles even the score next when Kid Kash hits The Dead level on Sonjay Dutt before Matt Bentley hits a Frog Splash for the three count. Team Styles go a man up when the captain eliminates Shark Boy with the Spiral Tap. Machismo leads by example with two quick eliminations next. First is Kid Kash after a diving elbow drop from the top rope. Matt Bentley jumped into the ring as the next man & was immediatly eliminated after The Lethal Combination. Team Styles level it again when Homicide hits The Gringo Killa on Jerry Lynn for the three count.

Two against two now as Austin Aries & Black Machismo take on Homicide & AJ Styles. The champion is next to go when his own partner hits him with a low blow from the outside. Machismo stumbles forwards & into a Gringo Killa from Homicide who then tags in Styles. Styles goes to the top & gets the elimination after another Spiral Tap. Aries comes in & tries a sunset flip for a quick pin on Styles, Styles doesnt go back & instead sits down & grabs the legs of Aries to eliminate him aswell. Down to AJ Styles & Homicide the match now becomes a one-on-one match.

AJ Styles takes the advantage by hitting a dropkick on Homicide as he enters the ring. Styles drags Homicide to the centre of the ring & sets up for a Styles Clash. Styles wastes time posing & this allows Homicide to pulls the legs from Under Styles & flip over into a pin. Styles kicks out at two. Both men get back to their when AJ hits a paylay out of nowhere. Homicide is down. Styles goes to the top rope & goes for a third Spiral Tap. This time however, Homicide moves & AJ crashes & burns. Homicide pulls Styles to his feet & quickly hits a Gringo Killa. Homicide makes the cover & gets the three count! Homicide become the new TNA X-Division Champion by surviving Elimination X. Homicide is joined in ring by Shelley Martinez for post match celebrations.

Re: TNA 2008

The way you write can make it a little hard to read everything in my opinion. Maybe try to add some colours or space things out more? Just a thought.

Anyways, I'm in agreement with Mikk that Daniels winning the title should have been the Main Event, and in agreement with Jay that the match should have been a lot longer!

That match was my main downfall though, rest of the PPV was very well done. Nice work.
