iMPACT! Preview
Feburary 28th 2008

- TNA Management Representative Jim Cornette has informed us he has a major announcement to make on iMPACT! regarding the March 9th Destination X PayPerView event. Cornette has been tight lipped about the announcement but we can confirm one rumour that has been doing the rounds. The TNA World Heavyweight Championship will not be the Main Event!

- Kaz got some revenge last week when he faced RelliK, this week he faces Black Reign. Can Kaz go two for two as he gets nearer to the man who betrayed him at Against All Odds in Booker T? Or will Kaz fall victim to the numbers game yet again.

- Robert Roode seems to have joined forces with the Maple Leaf Muscle Petey Williams again to take on The Steiner Brothers. This was confirmed last week when Scott D'Amore made his first appearance in TNA in well over a year. This week on iMPACT!, Robert Roode goes one-on-one with Big Poppa Pump, Scott Steiner.

- In the iMPACT! Main Event of the Evening, The Unbeaten Naturals, with Ms. Brooks no doubt at ringside, will face a steep jump in quality of opposition as they face the old rivals of Chris Harris & James Storm in tag team action. A win for the Naturals would surely put them in line for a TNA World Tag team title match, while Harris & Storm look to get match practice in before their tag team match at Destination X against Sting & Eric Young.

- Also on the broadcast will be Velvet Sky, Christian Cage, AJ Styles & many more.

Re: TNA 2008

Xplosion
Feburary 22nd 2008

Austin Creed & Homicide def. Shark Boy & Sonjay Dutt via pinfall. Newcomer Creed yet again looked impressive this time along side Homicide. While Homicide got the win after The Gringo Killa, no-one can deny Austin Creed looks to have a lot of potential.

Team 3D def. Triple XxX via Count out. Johnny Devine was almost constantly involved in this tag match, so much so that if you had just tuned in you would think it was a handicap match. the finish occurred when Senshi lost his cool & gave chase to Devine. Senshi chased Devine right out of the arena but unfortunately left his partner alone in the ring. Team 3D put Elix Skipper through a table after the match to end Xplosion.

iMPACT!
February 28th 2008

We open iMPACT! this week with Jim Cornette in the ring waiting to speak. Cornette tells us he has a few announcements to make, but he's keeping the big one until last. The first announcement is that Scott D'Amore came to him & requested a match. Cornette says he has agreed to it. At Destination X on March 9th it will be Petey Williams & Robert Roode vs The Steiner Brothers with the winners becoming holders of both Feast or fired briefcases. Cornette says this is the last time the briefcases will be contested.

Cornette's second announcement is in regards to Christian Cage & the masked man who has been attacking him. Cornette tells us he doesn't know who the masked man is & he doesn't really care but since no-one else has stepped up to the plate, he is getting a TNA World Heavyweight Championship match at Destination X. It will be Christian Cage vs The Masked Man.

Cornette also announces that after what happened last week on iMPACT! regarding Christy Hemme, Mike Tenay, Samoa Joe, Black Machismo & The Rock 'n' Rave Infection, he got an earful from an irate & high-pitched Christy Hemme. To get her to shut up he agreed to a match. Samoa Joe & Black machismo will defend the TNA World Tag Team titles against The Rock 'n' Rave Infection.

Now we come to the big one. Cornette first confirms that that match will not be the main event at Destination X but the following will be. The return of Elimination X! Cornette explains the rules. Their will be two teams made up of five. The match starts as a five-on-five elimination match but when one team is completely eliminated, the surviving members of the winning team will face each other in an elimination match. The last man standing at the end of the night will be the TNA X-Division Champion. This also means Black Machismo is pulling double duty.

We come back from the opening credits to Velvet Sky in ready for action. Her opponent is Awesome Kong.

Awesome Kong destroys Velvet Sky & could have pinned her in less than a minute but chose not to. Kong continued to inflict pain on the beauty who helped her keep the TNA Knockouts Championship at Against All Odds. Kong hits Sky with several Implant Busters, Choke-slams & Awesome Bombs before Angelina love literally throws in the towel to save her friend. Kong doesn't look pleased with her playtime being ended prematurely. Kong makes a beeline for Angelina Love but gets an eyeful of powder for her efforts. love quickly grabs a steel chair from ringside & smashes it into Kong's head, knocking her out of the ring. Angelina Love holds the Knockouts title in her hand before going back to Velvet Sky.

As Velvet Sky is being helped from the ring we cut backstage to James Mitchell with Abyss & Judas Mesias. Mitchell gladly accepts the death match proposed last week. Mitchell says it will be a delightful event for the kiddies to watch.

From evil to sinister next as Black Reign is introduced for his one-on-one match next. Reign, as expected, is not alone. He is accompanied by Booker T & RelliK. His opponent is Kaz. Kaz comes onto the stage but stops suddenly. Kaz motions for someone to come from the back. Kaz' entrance music is stopped & replaced by The Motor City Machine Guns. Kaz has brought back up of his own. A Six man brawl ensues before the match actually starts. The Machine Guns takes RelliK & Booker T to the back to leave Kaz & Black Reign in the ring. Without the numbers advantage Black Reign is constantly jumping out of the ring & slowing the match right down. Kaz didn't lose his patience & it paid off for him. Black Reign jumped out of the ring yet again but turned his back on Kaz.

Kaz took a running start & hit Black Reign hard in the back of the head with a Baseball Slide. From here on Kaz took his time in beating Black Reign senseless. Kaz threw Reign into the ring steps & the ring post before dumping him back in the ring. Kaz came off the top rope with a perfect missile dropkick to the face of Black Reign. Reign stumbles backwards & into the ropes. Reign tries to shake the cobwebs but ends up walking in The Wave of the Future from Kaz. Kaz gains another victory as he looks to get his hands on Booker T.

Kaz celebrates in ring as we go backstage where Christian Cage & AJ Styles are walking & talking. Cage says their is no point in avoiding it any longer. Cage then accuses Styles of being the masked man because he is too cowardly to get a title match. Cage goes on to say Styles is content with waiting until he's told he can have a title match. Cage says he should take it before telling Styles he is ashamed of him for hiding behind a mask. Styles tells Cage he would never stab him in the back like that. Cage seems content with this & starts to walk away when Styles grabs his arm & pulls him back. Styles then tells Cage he'll shoot him in the face instead. Styles walks off as Cage is left stunned.

Our next match is ready to get underway. Robert Roode with Petey Williams & Scott D'Amore at ringside against the current holder of the briefcases that will be on the line at Destination X, Scott Steiner with his brother Rick Steiner.

The two powerhouses go hold for hold early on & it looks like Steiner is gaining the advantage, until Petey Williams tries to hook his leg. Petey only gets a little & the miss gives Steiner time to stamp on Petey's fingers. Petey drops to his knees claiming his hand is broken. Earl Hebner shows concern for the young man & calls for medics to come out. With Hebner out of position the back door was left open. A-1 made his return to TNA as he came from the crowd & cracked Steiner in the head with a steel chair. Rick Steiner tried to save his brother but suffered the same fate. A-1, looking to be in great shape proceeded to beat down the Steiners. Roode joined in then eventually Petey Williams. The referee has thrown the match out & is now more focused on regaining some order in the iMPACT! Zone.

As security move in to the ring the camera moves backstage where Black Reign & RelliK are arguing about something. They come to shoving before Booker T steps in to try & calm them both down. He tells them to focus on the task at hand. When Kaz & now the Machine Guns are taken care of, then they can go at each other. Reign & RelliK agree to put their differences aside, for now.

Back to ringside & its main event time.

The Naturals make their way to the ring first accompanied as usual by the lovely Ms. Brooks. Ms. Brooks goes over to Christy Hemme at the commentary table & thanks her for the great commentary she has provided for The Naturals since their return.

Chris Harris & James Storm are out next. Harris & Storm are introduced as America's Most Wanted for the first time since reforming nearly two months ago.

Harris & Storm are slow to start while The Naturals are fast & furious. Harris is isolated for long periods of time in The Naturals half of the ring. Douglas & Stevens both hit Harris with everything they have but cant keep him down. The Naturals attempt The Natural Disaster but Harris squirms out of it & makes the tag to the fresh James Storm. Storm comes in all guns blazing after having to watch his partner get beat down for several minutes. Storm hits Douglas with The Eye of the Storm then hits Stevens with The Last Call but only gets a two count on each.

Storm goes for another Super kick but gets hit with a low blow from Stevens that Rudy Charles somehow missed. The Naturals recover enough to hit Storm with The Natural Disaster for the three count.

After the match Eric Young makes his way to the ring with a beer bottle in his hand. Young takes aim at the slowly recovering Chris Harris. Just as Young is about to get a measure of revenge for the unprovoked attack a few months ago at Final Resolution, Ms. Brooks hits with with a low blow from behind. The Naturals then hit Eric Young with a Natural Disaster for seemingly no reason. The Naturals & Ms. Brooks leave the ring as Chris Harris picks up the beer bottle.

Harris bearly has time to look at the bottle before the lights go out in the iMPACT! Zone. When the lights come back on Sting is in the ring, baseball bat in hand. Harris makes a run for it but James Storm gets caught by Sting. Sting drives the bat into the ribs of Storm then across the back. With Storm down, Sting locks in the Scorpion Death lock. We see Storm screaming in pain & tapping out in the middle of the ring as we go off the air.
