We open No Surrender live from Canada with a video package highlighting the events that brought us to tonight. When the video ends we go live to the General Motors Centre where a huge pyro display wakes the crowd into a frenzy. As the camera speeds around the arena Homicide makes his entrance as the first match of the evening is the four way for the TNA X-Division Championship. Homicide comes out to a negative reaction from the Canadians. Austin Creed is out next & his Red, White & Blue ring attire makes him public enemy number one. Austin Aries gets the usual reaction he gets no matter where in the world he is. The TNA X-Division Champion was last out & got by far & away the best reaction. Johnny Devine returns to his home land as the TNA X-Division Champion.

It didn’t seem to matter what Johnny Devine did, the fans cheered for him. Austin Aries took Devine down with a Brainbuster before getting a long two count much to the dismay of the fans. Homicide got a big cheer when he hit Creed with a Gringo Cutter to pretty much eliminate him from the match. Homicide attempted the Gringo Killa on Aries but Aries slipped out & drove his knee into the ribs of Homicide before hitting him with a Reverse Swinging DDT. Johnny Devine took advantage & kicked Aries smack in the face before going for the kill. The Devine Intervention brought everyone in attendance to their feet. Devine made the pin on Aries as the fans counted with Andrew Thomas for Devine to retain.
Result: Johnny Devine RETAINS via Pinfall.
The biggest cheer of the night thus far came when Devine was announced as the winner, but the celebrations were short lived as Jim Cornette interupted the proceedings. Cornette first congratulated Devine before telling him he has the next month off from in ring action. Cornette explains that starting on iMPACT! The Super X Cup will be making a return. The winner will face Johnny Devine at Bound for Glory in Chicago on October 12th. Cornette heads backstage again as Devine restarts his celebrations.
Devine continues to celebrate back up the ramp as we go to a split screen. On the left we see Raven coming out from the boiler room while on the left we see Alkatrazz being led by James Mitchell towards the entrance tunnel. We get a video package at this stage of how the following match came to be. We see Raven taking out RelliK & Vampiro before getting ambushed by Alkatrazz. This is the first chance Raven has had to get revenge on Alkatrazz. We all know about Raven’s sick mind so it wouldn’t be surprising if he has planned something special for tonight as the loser of this match will be hauled off to a local prison where he will spend some of the worst nights of his life.

Raven looked clam & collected but as soon as the bell rang he unleashed hell on Alkatrazz. Raven mounted Alkatrazz & laid into him with closed fists in this No Holds Barred match up. Wait Alkatrazz already bleeding from the nose, Mitchell called for re-enforcements. Abyss & Judas Mesias made their way to the ring on cue. Mesias climbed into the ring but got a low blow from Raven who was prepared for him. Raven took Mesias down with the Raven Effect. Abyss has gotten to ringside but stopped short of getting into the ring. Raven stares down Abyss as Mitchell screams at Abyss to get into the ring.
Abyss instead grabs Mitchell by the throat & squeezes much to the delight of the fans in attendance. Abyss shoves Mitchell backwards into the steel steps as Raven turns back to Alkatrazz. Raven gets a few kicks in on Alkatrazz before Abyss steps up beside him. Raven turns to Abyss & gets punched in the jaw. Raven stumbles back until Abyss grabs him by the arm & sends him off the ropes. Raven comes back towards Abyss & gets killed with the Black Hole Slam. By this time Alkatrazz is back on his feet & decides to pick a fight with Abyss.
Alkatrazz shoves Abyss twice before Abyss catches his arm & pulls him into a Black Hole Slam aswell. Abyss doesn’t seem to be finished yet though as he pulls some chain from under the ring. Abyss wraps one end of the chain around the neck of Raven, & the other end around Alkatrazz. Abyss proceeds to roll out of the ring before pulling both his victims behind him by the chains around each of their necks. Abyss drags them both backstage & towards the waiting police van. Abyss turns to his handiwork & picks Alkatrazz. Abyss hoists Alkatrazz to his feet before dumping him in the back of the van. Abyss then grabs Raven by the hair & sends him in also. Abyss dumps all the remaining chain in with them before slamming the doors shut. Abyss stands watching the police van drive off into the distance with both participants in the back.
As Abyss stands alone in the parking lot we get shown a video highlighting the issues between Jeff Jarrett & Sting, & how we go to the following match. The following match was scheduled to be a tag team match but Goldberg has not been seen in the last few weeks & it looks more & more like Sting will be going it alone against the twenty time tag team champions in Team 3D.

Sting competed for much of the match on his own & managed to hold his own until the double teaming got the better of him. As Team 3D moved in for the kill with a fourth consecutive 3D, they got quite an unwelcome surprise. The big screens filled with a shot from the parking lot. A sports car speeds into the parking lot & slams on the breaks. After a couple of seconds Goldberg steps out & he looks pissed! Team 3D panic as Sting has rolled out of the ring. Brother Ray tries to lift his lifeless body back into the ring so 3D can get the win & get the hell out of there fast.
Brother Devon stands guard with a steel chair in hand. Devon is almost inviting Goldberg to come at him & he soon gets his wish. Goldberg’s entrance music plays & the man himself appears a top the stage as the fireworks go off beside him. Goldberg walks right through them & towards Brother Devon without hesitation. Goldberg starts to run as Devon prepares to swing. Devon backs out & drops the chair & runs. Devon runs past Brother Ray who seems to be taken by surprise. Ray turns around & gets ripped in two with a Spear from Goldberg.
Brother Devon continues running & is soon backstage to safety. Goldberg decides to take out his frustrations on Brother Ray as he lifts him back into the ring. Goldberg makes his way across the ring & prepares for a second Spear. With Goldberg in position he doesn’t notice Jeff Jarrett has made his appearance with a Guitar in hand. Goldberg proceeds to hit Brother Ray with a second Spear which gives Jarrett the chance to slide into the ring un noticed. As Goldberg gets back to his feet, Jarrett swings the guitar & smashes it across the head of Goldberg. Goldberg goes down to a knee before shaking it off & getting back to his feet.
Jarrett thinks he has taken Goldberg out so is playing to the crowd. Jarrett soon finds out that’s not the case as Goldberg takes him down with another Spear. Jarrett rolls out of the ring as Goldberg pulls poor Brother Ray back to his feet. Goldberg hoists Ray up into the air & delivers the Jackhammer. Goldberg makes the cover & picks up the three count.
Result: Goldberg & Sting via Pinfall.
As Goldberg gets back to his feet we see the image of Matt Morgan atop the ramp. Morgan doesn’t look like heading to the ring but has made eye contact with Goldberg. Both men stare each other down before Morgan turns & returns backstage.
Next is the TNA World Tag Team Championship match wherein the current champions, the Motor City Machine Guns, have set an open challenge. Before the match we see the highlights of the Machine Guns title run over the past few months. The Motor City Machine Guns are first to the ring as expected in an open challenge. The Guns receive quite a good reaction despite their American Passports. Alex Shelley grabs a mic en route to the ring. Shelley tells us that its time for another team to be added to the ever growing list of team that Sabin & Shelley have defeated in TNA.
Chris Sabin uses this time to point out that they are on an Eight Month winning streak that no-one has congratulated them on. Shelley says he has grown to expect being ignored by management. With that, their opponents are introduced. Sabin & Shelley sit back as the sound of Motor Cycles roaring can be heard but not seen. After a few seconds two bikes appear on stage as Jeremy Borash announced the challengers. Weighing in at a combined 600lbs, from Nashville, Tennessee, Ron Harris & Don Harris the Disciples of Destruction! Sabin & Shelley seem to realise this could be a mistake. The two near seven footers ride down to the ring to collect their title match.

Sabin & Shelley both tried to wear down the legs of The Harris Brothers but both Ron & Don looked to be in great shape & really up for the fight. Nothing Sabin & Shelley tried seem to come off & resulted in them suffering their first lost of 2008. Thanks to Chris Sabin for pointing that out. Ron Harris & Don Harris took Sabin out of the match with a Double Choke slam before taking Shelley out with an assisted Power bomb that damn near put Shelley through the ring. Ron Harris made the cover on Alex Shelley to pick up the three count.
Result: The Disciples of Destruction BECOME NEW TNA World Tag Tea Champions Via Pinfall.
The Disciples raise their newly won title belts above their heads before exiting the ring & then the arena via their motorcycles. Sabin & Shelley remain out cold in the ring.
The next match at No Surrender see’s TNA Knockouts Champion Christy Hemme teaming with Lance Hoyt to face Jimmy Rave & recently debuted Vixen. If Rave & Vixen win the following match, then Vixen will get a TNA Knockouts Championship match on a future edition of iMPACT!

Hemme was full of confidence after he cheap shot on iMPACT! Left Vixen out cold, tonight was a different story as Vixen came prepared & ducked the attempt to blindside her before the match started. Rave & Hoyt were peripheral figures for much of the match with neither man really wanting to fight the other. Eventually Rave drew first blood when he offered Hoyt a handshake but poked him in the eye instead. Rave took Hoyt down with a Double Underhook face buster before tagging Vixen back in, meaning an Automatic tag for Hemme.
Hemme took control & went for the kill. Hemme climbed to the second rope before going for the FFG. Vixen rolled out of the way before wrapping her legs around the neck of Hemme & locking in the Figure Four Neck Lock. Jimmy Rave charged across the ring & took Hoyt off the apron with a baseball slide. Vixen squeezes tightly & Hemme taps out.
Result: Vixen & Jimmy Rave via Submission.
Even after the match Vixen kept the Choke in but eventually broke once Rave re-entered the ring. Vixen & Rave stand tall looking down on the beaten TNA Knockouts Champion Christy Hemme.
Next we see a short history of America’s Most Wanted, from the night they were thrown together to fill in for the team of Stan Dupp & Bo Dupp all the way back in 2002, through their epic encounters with The Naturals & Triple xXx, through the break up & re-formation early in the year. The video ends with the miscommunication between the two on iMPACT!

Chris Harris offered to start the match with a handshake but James Storm wasn’t having any of it, clearly still upset after what happened on iMPACT! Neither man was willing to let the other gain the win & it resulted in plenty of near falls. At one point Chris Harris kicked out of the Eye of the Storm. Not to be outdone, Storm kicked out of the Cat Attack. After nearly twenty minutes of near falls & back & forth action, James Storm connected with the Last Call. Storm covered Harris but could not believe it when he kicked out at two! Storm argued with Slick Johnson before setting up for a second Last Call. Storm went with the kick but Harris ducked it & lifted Storm off the ground, Harris spun Storm around in the Catatonic before making the cover & picking up the three count. Storm kicked out a second too late.
Result: Chris Harris BECOMES THE FIRST TNA Internet Champion
After the final bell, Harris is presented with his newly won title. Harris looks at the belt before dropping it & shaking his head. Harris asks for a mic & is granted one. Harris takes a moment to get his breath back before he begins to talk. Harris says he told the world that when he won tonight, he would give the belt a credible name. Not the Internet Champion which sounds like a PCW title. Harris motions from someone to come from the back. After a short delay two security guards bring a metal briefcase to the ring. The case is set up on a small stand in the ring as Chris Harris opens it. A smile comes across the face of Harris as he lifts a brand new title belt out & places it over his shoulder. Harris proudly announces himself as the first TNA International Champion.
As Harris leaves the ring we jump backstage where Robert Roode is going through his final preparations ahead of his Last Man Standing match with Kurt Angle tonight. Just as Roode finishes, Team Canada make an appearance. Scott D’Amore asks Roode if he is ready to go. Roode says he is, but, Team Canada will be staying in the back. All the members of Team Canada protest but Roode insists that he is doing this alone. Roode leaves his team mates in stunned silence as he heads for the ring.

A hard hitting encounter was expected & neither man disappointed as each seemed to be out to cripple the other. Angle got dropped on his head early but managed to get back to his feet. Angle thought he has won when he sent Roode crashing to the outside with an Olympic Slam from the top rope. Roode somehow got back to his feet on nine. An irate Angle refused to believe that Roode was still alive & went for a steel chair. Angle stalked Roode only to get smashed in the face with a chair Roode pulled from under the ring.
A dazed Angle stumbled backwards but stayed on his feet & charged at Roode again. Roode swung the chair & connected with the skull of Angle at the same time as Angle connected with the back of Roode. Both men fell to the ground, Angle unconscious, Roode not far behind him. Earl Hebner counted the ten as neither man was able to recover, leaving this match to end in a draw.
Result: Double Count Down.
Both men needed medical attention after the match as they came damn close to killing each other in a war that is no longer about getting the win, its now just about hurting your opponent. Nothing was settled tonight, as the war continues between the two.

We get a surprise next as Mick Foley makes an unannounced appearance at No Surrender. Foley makes his way to the ring with a smile on his face & a mic in his hand. Once in the ring, Foley informs us all that he has signed a deal with TNA Wrestling. Foley is however, careful to state that it is not a wrestling contract but a staff contract. Foley says his plan is to make sporadic appearances & is here to help TNA grow to the next level in any way he can.

As Foley soaks in the fans reaction he gets interupted by Samoa Joe. Joe makes his way to the ring with his now usual scowl on his face. Joe snatches the mic from Foley, which prompts Foley to get a new mic & tell Joe all he had to do was ask for the mic. Foley thinks that Joe could do with learning some manners. Joe isn’t amused & tells Foley to shut the hell up.
Joe describes his current situation as pathetic. Joe says he gets left off No Surrender so that another fat out of shape past his prime no-body can come in & take all the headlines. Joe says he put Goldberg in his place last month verbally, & will put him in his place physically when the time is right. Joe says right now feels like a good time to physically put Foley in his place. Joe drops his mic & backs Foley into a corner. Foley tells Joe to hold on a second, that he has something to say to Joe. Joe stops & appears to be willing to listen.
Foley tells Joe that he was hoping he would come out tonight & try to humiliate him. Foley says he has even planned a little surprise for Joe tonight. Joe seems confused but Foley keeps talking. Foley says he has signed a staff contract with TNA & that the role of manager falls under staff. Mick Foley says he has come to No Surrender, but he has not come alone. A smile comes across the face of Foley as Joe is cracked in the spine with a lead pipe. Joe is hoisted up onto his attackers shoulders before getting dropped to the mat with authority.
Mick Foley lies down beside Joe & gets in his face. Foley tells Joe that he is not going to be disrespected or pushed around by anybody. Foley says he has gone out & hired the best money can buy. Foley says he has brought the absolute best to TNA. Foley has brought Brock Lesnar to TNA!
Joe lays motionless in the ring as Foley raises Lesnar’s arm much to the surprise of everyone in attendance. As Foley & Lesnar leave the ring, we are shown a video package highlighting the main event.

Christian Cage & Rob Van Dam pretty much froze out AJ Styles for the entire match, refusing to take tags from him or even give them to him. Booker T meanwhile refused to tag Christian Cage which all together led to some less than impressive team work from the four men. Cage & Van Dam seemed to be the only two willing to work together. Their opponents on the other hand were fluid & as a result controlled large portions of the match.
With eight men with such big ego’s in the same ring at the same time, a mass brawl was just waiting to happen. When Kazarian hit AJ Styles with the Wave of the Future, all hell broke loose. Tomko & Van Dam traded kicks inside & then outside the ring until Van Dam gained the upper hand & sent Tomko into the ring post. The Giant Bloom & Booker T fought into the crowd where Booker T accidentally took out a fan with a mis timed super kick.
Daniels took the Champion out of contention with the Angel Wings before Cage took Daniels out with a reverse DDT followed by a Frog Splash. Cage stalked Kazarian but then surprised some but not all by turning on his partner & hitting Styles with the Unprettier. Cage got back to his feet afterwards & walked into the Wave of the Future from Kazarian. Kazarian pinned Cage & picked up the three count.
Result: Kazarian, Christopher Daniels, Tomko & the Giant Bloom via Pinfall.
Kazarian is left as the only man standing in the ring as he grabs the TNA World Championship from Dave Penzer. Kazarian posed with the belt on the middle rope to end No Surrender.
