Re: TNA 2008

- The Dream Team is back for One Night Only! At the end of Last Week's show after AJ Styles had sealed qualification for the King of the Mountain match he was ambushed by Robert Roode. Roode had bad intentions as he looked to take out one of his opponents for June 8th in Memphis. Luckily for Styles his former partner was on hand to make the save.

Styles will be trying to rip the TNA World title away from Daniels at Slammiversary, but for now he has to trust him aswell as watch his back. Will they be able to co-exist for one more match?

- Also on iMPACT! we will find out who participant number four for King of the Mountain will be as Scott Steiner takes on Booker T. Vince Russo has one more slot open, but he has been keeping tight lipped about who he has chosen, will we find out on iMPACT! & complete the King of the Mountain line up?

- You will also see Samoa Joe, Jay Lethal, Kaz, Hernandez & many more this Thursday on iMPACT!

May 23rd 2008

Sonjay Dutt & Shark Boy def The Naturals via Pin fall.

Judas Mesias def Austin Creed via Submission.

Vampiro & Abyss def Triple xXx via Pin fall.

Eric Young def Jerry Lynn via Pin fall.

May 29th 2008

To open iMPACT! this week we are straight into the action with a match made last week. The Outlaw has been complaining about being on Xplosion & not iMPACT! It seems to have worked as he has another match on iMPACT! this week. The problem being its against Tomko.

Tomko

vs

The Outlaw

Much like two weeks ago when the Outlaw faced the Fallen Angel, he gets dominated. Tomko took less than three minutes to defeat the former Tag Team Champion with a Choke-Bomb.

Result: Tomko via Pin fall.

Despite winning without breaking a sweat Tomko isn't done & wants to send a message to his opponent at Slammiversary, Christian Cage. Tomko gives orders to the Giant Bloom before hitting the Outlaw with a second Choke Bomb. Bloom meanwhile has found a table under the ring & is in the process of bringing it into the ring. Tomko & Bloom set up the table before sending the Outlaw through it with a Tornado-Plex.

Tomko stands over the Outlaw & raises his arms in victory. It wont be this easy on June 8th.

We go backstage now where Leticia is standing by with Kaz & Jerry Lynn.

Leticia tells Kaz she is impressed by the turnaround in his team's fortunes. Only a few weeks ago Team Kaz were dead & buried, now out of nowhere they could end up winning. Leticia asks Kaz what he puts it down to. Kaz tells Leticia it was all because of him. Kaz says he was the one responsible for the victory that kicked off the revival so he rightfully deserves all the credit.

At that Jerry Lynn says he has had enough. Lynn tells Kaz it was a team effort & therefor the team deserves credit. Kaz asks Lynn how many matches he has won. Lynn asks Kaz how he became captain with such a poor & childish attitude before walking off the set leaving Kaz with Leticia. Kaz tells Leticia that Lynn is just a bitter old man these days before also walking off.

Up next we see a training video featuring the TNA Knockouts Champion, Awesome Kong.

Kong is seen facing several male opponents at once during a sparing session. Kong destroys them all. Despite having easily won Kong picks up the nearest poor man & delivers a bone crunching Awesome Bomb to show her dominance. As the ring clears quickly Kong goes to the corner & picks up a photograph. Kong stares at the photo to fire herself up. Kong drops the photo & hits a big splash on the victim of the Awesome Bomb.

Kong again picks up the photo but this time rolls it into a ball & shoves it down the man's troath. Kong gets back to her feet & leaves the ring as the trainer checks for a pulse on the decimated opponent.

After the Kong video we see her opponent for Slammiversary in action. Melissa takes on another Independent Wrestler in the form of Candice LaRae.

Melissa

vs

Candice LaRae

Just like last week Melissa again destroys her opponent. Melissa easily won with a modified Dragon Sleeper. Melissa took LaRae down & sat on her back before pulling the head back & locking in the Dragon Sleeper. Melissa viciously pulled back the head & neck of LaRae until she submitted.

Result: Melissa via Submission.

Melissa quickly lets go of her new hold but she isn't letting LaRae off that easy. Melissa pulls LaRae to her feet & hits an Awesome Bomb, clearly sending a message to the champion.

Mike Tenay & Kevin Nash quickly put over how dominating Melissa has been in recent weeks before sending us backstage to Crystal who is standing by with Rain.

Crystal asks Rain if she has any response to the comments made by her former friend Lacey last week. Rain keeps it short. She simply says Lacey has always been the one with the ego & now that she is associated with the bleached bimbo's its coming out more. Rain says she would be more than happy to teach her a lesson in respect. Rain says anytime Lacey wants to put her money where her mouth is, Rain will be ready.

Rain's short interview is cut short when Scott Steiner walks across the set. Steiner tells Crystal to come with him. Crystal isn't going to say no to Steiner so follows.

As Crystal tries to keep up with Steiner she asks where they are going. Steiner doesn't reply. Before long they arrive at an office that says Vince Russo on the door.

Steiner rams the door open & quickly corners Russo. Steiner is livid & demands to know why Rick Steiner was fired so publicly. Steiner says it wont get ratings if that's what the intention was.

Russo tells Steiner to relax & he will explain. Steiner says this better be good, because if it's not Russo's return will be short lived. Russo explains the situation to Steiner basically saying Rick was not able to keep up with the talent in TNA. If Rick Steiner had been kept on he would only end up holding Scott back. Russo tries to convince Scott that he would not have a shot at being in the King of the Mountain had Rick Steiner been involved. Russo says its for the best. Steiner says Russo better be telling the truth before leaving much calmer than he entered.

From one Russo made situation to another. Injured Team Canada members A-1 & Tyson Dux are fighting for their jobs next as they face The Rock 'n' Rave Infection. To ensure it's fair any interference from Team Canada will result in an automatic DQ, the firing of Dux & A-1 but also the firing of the interfering member.

The Rock 'n' Rave Infection
W/ Christy Hemme

vs

Team Canada

Hoyt & Rave easily picked apart the injured knee of Tyson Dux & prevented him from making a tag. Rave had Dux in a step-over toe hold but Dux refused to quit knowing his job was on the line. Rave lost patience & stomped on Dux chest. Rave made the tag to the big man & Lance Hoyt promptly took care of business. Hoyt dragged Dux to his feet before hitting a choke slam. Christy Hemme pulled A-1 off the apron so he landed hard on his injured ankle. Rave went to the top rope where Lance Hoyt launched him through the air & into a frog splash. Hoyt made the pin & got the three count.

Result: The Rock 'n' Rave Infection via Pin fall.

Vince Russo is quickly out to the top of the ramp when the match ends as he made the stipulation if Team Canada lose they are fired. Russo however, doesn't fire them! Russo says he will give Dux & A-1 another chance next week. Russo announces a triple chance match wherein Dux & A-1 will have three matches but only need to win once to keep their jobs. Russo then says since announcing the opposition didn't help them any, he will keep the opposition a secret until just before the match.

Once the ring clears the TNA World Tag Team Champions Samoa Joe & Jay Lethal make their way to the ring. Joe gets a mic & wastes no time in calling out the Motor City Machine Guns & Jimmy Jacobs in particular.

After a short delay the Guns make their way to the ring with Jacobs trailing behind. Shelley & Sabin get into the ring & offer a handshake. Joe doesn't accept. Jacobs is slow to get in the ring & understandably so. Would you want to face a pissed off Samoa Joe?

Once Jacobs gets in the ring Joe quickly corners him. Joe tells Jacobs he is going to let him live this time but if he ever again pulls anything like what he did last week, Joe wont be so forgiving. Joe tells Jacobs he needs to learn some respect & he is just the man to teach it to him. Joe challenges Jacobs to a match next week on iMPACT! Before Jacobs can answer Joe advises him to accept, because one way or another they are fighting next week. Joe tells Shelley & Sabin he'll see them at Slammiversary. Joe then slams the mic into the chest of Jacobs & stares a hole in him.

As Joe & Lethal make their exit we quickly cut backstage to the Ladies Room where Jazz has ambushed both Gail Kim & Jacqueline.

Jazz drives Gail head first into the wall before smashing Jacqueline off a sink. Jazz then shoves Jacqueline's head into the toilet bowl & flushes. Jazz continues trying to drown Jacqueline until Gail jumps on her back. Gail wraps her arms around the neck of Jazz & squeezes. Jazz stumbles backwards & falls to the floor while Gail holds on.

As Gail continues the choke Jacqueline recovers & grabs a bar of soap. Jacqueline shoves the bar of soap into the mouth of Jazz then puts her hand over Jazz's mouth before punching her in the ribs. Eventually security move in & rip the Knockouts apart.

Next up we will find out who the fourth man in King of the Mountain is going to be as Scott Steiner takes on Booker T.

Booker T

vs

Scott Steiner

Steiner took the advantage when he caught Booker in the air when he tried a jumping calf kick. Steiner slammed Booker down hard & keep the former six time world champion grounded. Booker did however get back into it when he caught Steiner unaware & hit the Book End. But with Booker hurting he couldn't make the cover. Both men were slow to their feet as a result. Booker went for a super kick but Steiner dodged it & Booker took out Andrew Thomas. Steiner took down Booker with a short arm clothesline before quickly locking in a Steiner Recliner.

Booker is tapping but their is no ref. Steiner doesn't care & is just enjoying hurting someone. Steiner keeps his submission hold locked in. Eventually someone does come down the ramp but its not a ref.

Robert Roode who is already in King of the Mountain comes to the ring with a steel chair in hand. Jeff Jarrett quickly comes from the other side of the arena to cut off the Canadian before he can break the hold. Jarrett hits Roode with a low blow before picking up his guitar. Andrew Thomas is starting to revive himself so Jarrett has a decision to make.

Jarrett takes aim & smashes the guitar across the skull of Scott Steiner! Jarrett drapes Booker' arm across the unconscious Steiner before exiting the ring just before Andrew Thomas seen him. Thomas makes the pin & Booker gets the three count.

Result: Booker T via Pin fall.

With both Booker & Steiner out cold & Roode unsure as to Jarrett's motives it leaves the self proclaimed King of the Mountain unopposed in re-entering the ring. Jarrett gets in the unconscious Steiner;s face & asks him if he (Jarrett) cant be in the King of the Mountain, they why the hell should Steiner be. Jarrett slaps Steiner before leaving the ring amidst controversy.

As Mike Tenay complains about Jarrett screwing Steiner over, Kevin Nash sends us backstage to Crystal with the Beautiful People.

Crystal blanks Velvet Sky & Angelina Love & just asks Lacey if she is up for a match with Rain. Lacey laughs at the question before asking Crystal if she is serious. Lacey says she is more than willing to end the miserable existance of Rain. Lacey says she will do it next week if Rain is brave enough to show up. Crystal asks Lacey if she would be so confidant if she didn't have Sky & Love watching her back. Lacey seems insulted & tells Crystal she will do it alone. Lacey turns to Sky & Love & asks them to stay backstage next week so she can finish this once & for all. Sky & Love have no objections.

Lacey asks Crystal if she has anything else to ask or if that's too hard of a question for her. Crystal tells Lacey that she doesn't have any more questions but does say she hopes Rain beats some sense into her next week. Velvet Sky steps in front of Lacey & asks Crystal if she has a problem with the Beautiful People. Crystal says she has a major problem with their attitude but will let it go for now. Velvet Sky tells Crystal to let it go for her own well being. Velvet & Crystal go face to face until Angelina Love & Lacey step beside Sky making it three on one. Crystal turns & walks away as the Beautiful People mock her.

Next up is Crystal's backstage partner Leticia with Hector Guerrero & Hernandez.

Leticia asks Hector why Hernandez was willing to face his partner & best friend at Slammiversary. Hector cuts Leticia off at that & tells her Hernandez was not willing to face Homicide. Hernandez is only doing it because he was asked to. Hector says if it was up to Hernandez this match would be a tag match against Jay Lethal & Samoa Joe for the TNA World Tag Team Championships. Hector tells Leticia Homicide better be for real & not planning something sneaky. Hector finishes with a warning for Homicide.

He says if Homicide tries to cheat or gain an unfair advantage, all bets are off & Hernandez will end up doing some serious damage to LAX.

Main Event time now on iMPACT! as the TNA Dream Team Re-unite for One Night Only!

Christopher Daniels & AJ Styles

vs

Robert Roode & Petey Williams

Roode & Petey quickly found out why Styles & Daniels are former Tag Team Champions as it took them minimal time to get back in sync. Petey tried to match the pace but fell to a Hi-Lo from both men. Roode on the other hand tried to slow the pace & did so when Daniels missed a B.M.E. Roode hit a running knee lift to the fallen angel as he struggled to his feet after the miss. Roode then sent Daniels into Team Canada's corner shoulder first. Roode & Williams kept Daniels in their corner as long as they could but ultimately, the champion fought out of it. Daniels got both feet up as Petey tried a running corner splash. Daniels then elbowed Roode on the apron & started crawling to Styles.

Roode slid back into the ring & grabbed the foot of Daniels to prevent the tag being made. Daniels however was determined & kicked off Roode before diving the last few feet to tag in Styles. Styles came in fully fresh & ready to go. Styles took Roode down with a standing dropkick before hitting a second on Petey. Styles sent Petey off the ropes & hit a follow in basement dropkick to the knee of Maple Leaf Muscle. With Petey down Styles went high risk & went for the Spiral Tap. Roode pulled Petey out of harms way so Styles crashed & burned. As Styles stumbled around Roode went to get back on the offensive but Daniels hit him with a clothesline.

Daniels then brought Petey back to his feet & went for the Angel Wings. Petey was fighting & ended up hitting Styles in the back. Unbeknown to Styles he flipped backwards & hit a Pay Lay on instinct. Daniels fell backwards & out of the ring as a result of the miscommunication. Styles seeing the mistake quickly grabbed Petey & delivered a Styles Clash. Styles turned Petey over but was pulled backwards by Roode. Roode caught Styles in a School Boy & grabbed hold of the tights to steal the victory.

Result: Robert Roode & Petey Williams via Pin fall.

Roode quickly exits the ring & heads back up the ramp without Petey. Roode doesn't get away that easy as Booker T grabs him by the hair & pulls him back to the ring.

Booker dumps Roode back into the lions den where Styles is waiting. Styles hits Roode with a Styles Clash before Booker hits an Axe Kick. Styles & Booker go face to face until Daniels separates them & complains about Styles hitting him. Styles apologizes but the three men continue to argue.

Just as its about to break down again Vince Russo makes his way onto the stage. Russo congratulates Booker on gaining a spot in King of the Mountain. Russo then tells us its time to meet entrant number five. As Russo steps to one side all eyes are on the entrance tunnel. With the attention diverted Daniels is hit in the back with a television camera by the cameraman. Booker turns & gets the same camera in the face. Styles tries a clothesline but the camera man ducks & hits an Olympic Slam!

The camera man pulls off his bandanna, glasses & what turns out to b fake facial hair to reveal none other than Kurt Angle. Russo applauds from the top of the ramp & we go off the air with Kurt Angle holding the TNA World Heavyweight Championship above his head.

Re: TNA 2008

- Last week at the end of iMPACT! Kurt Angle shocked the world when he made a suprise return to TNA Wrestling. This week, he has asked for some ring time to make his intentions clear. One thing we do know however, Kurt Angle is in King of the Mountain as Vince Russo's second of two entrants. Can Angle pick up where he left off & regain the TNA World Championship? The odd's are in his favour as the champion has never retained his title in King of the Mountain & Angle won the TNA World title in King of the Mountain in 2007! Will history repeat itself?

- Also on iMPACT!, rivals will have to be friends even if only for one match as the main event pits Christian Cage teaming with his opponent on Sunday, Tomko against Christoper Daniels, teaming with one of his opponents in Robert Roode against Homicide & his opponent Hernandez. Homicide & Hernandez clearly have the advantage but are they really back on the same page?

- Plus, Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner, AJ Styles & many more, this Thursday on iMPACT!
