GWF also announced two more talent's who up until late last night were a part of the TNA roster. BG James & Kip James, Probably Roaddogg & Billy Gunn again now, have jumped ship.

Jerry Jarrett announces more signings.

Jerry Jarrett has been very busy today and has just announced that Chuck Palumbo, David Flair, Johnny Stamboli, Justin Credible, Scott Taylor, Juventud Geurrera & The Sandman have all been signed up for EWA.

Orton makes decision

Randy Orton, who had been expected to sign for TNA has pulled out at the eleventh hour. Reports are that he got a phone call offering him a main event spot in GWF. With TNA refusing to give in to his guaranteed six month minium title reign demands it appears Randy will be joining his old running buddies once more.

Re: The fall & (re-)rise of pro-wrestling

Tournament Brackets leaked early!

Higher up's in EWA are said to be furious after they found out the tournament brackets had made it to the internet just days before the show. Jerry Jarrett was schedualed to open the show with a short speech in which he announced the tournament brackets.

It is confirmed that some of the entrants will be working double duty. All the winners in the first round will compete in the second round later on in the night. Leaving us with just two men by the end of the night.

The brackets are as follows:

Chris Jericho
vs
Shelton Benjamin

Monty Brown
vs
Jeff Hardy

Giant Bernard
vs
D'Lo Brown

Sean Waltman
vs
Rob Van Dam

The winner of Benjamin/Jericho will face the winner of Brown/Hardy to determine the first man in the title match. Also the winner of D'Lo/Bernard will face the winner of Waltman/RVD to determin the second.

Re: The fall & (re-)rise of pro-wrestling

THE PROMISE LAND
LIVE FROM NEW YORK CITY
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 28th 2007

The show opens with the firework display then the camera focus' on Jerry Jarrett in the middle of the ring with a mic in hand.

JJ: Five & a half years ago i had a vision for wrestling. A vision to make an alternative. A vision to be at the top. I half achieved it. I helped get TNA to the top but not with the style i wanted. That's why i have decided to give it one last shot.

My new vision becomes reality starting tonite here in New York City!

Tonite in this ring, Andy Douglas, Chase Stevens the Naturals will face Sylvan Grenier, Rene Dupree, La Resistance & The Team of Juventud Guerrera, Psicosis as well as Johnny Stamboli & Chuck Palumbo in a four corner's match for the EWA Tag Team Championships!

As well as that. The start of the 32 man tournament to crown an X-Fly champion. Only two match's tonite. Rob Conway against Billy Kidman. & Kid Kash taking on The Amazing Red.

Wait, there's more. The top eight guys on the roster will face off tonite. Four matches will cut that down to four guys. Those four will then wrestle again tonite. That will cut it down to two. We then know what our World title match will be!

Rob Van Dam will face Sean Waltman. The winner of that match will face the winner of Giant Bernard against D'Lo Brown! But before that The Alpha Male Monty Brown will face Jeff Hardy! In the upcoming match you will see Shelton Benjamin taking on none other than Lion heart Chris Jericho!

With that the light's go out & a countdown appears on the big screen signaling the arrival of Chris Jericho.

Jericho makes his way to the ring to a deafining reaction. Jericho takes his time as he soaks it all in.

Jericho climbs into the ring as Shelton Benjamin makes his entrance. Benjamin wastes little time in sprinting to the ring.

Benjamin starts like a house on fire as he catches Jericho off guard with a take down shoulder tackle. Benjamin controls the early part of the match's the ring rust of Jericho shows. Benjamin hits a Stinger Splash on Jericho in the corner but only gets a two count. Benjamin takes a risk and goes to the top rope. He comes off with a flying cross body but eats a dropkick from Jericho. Jericho quickly takes advantage with a series of kicks and elbow drops to the back of Benjamin.
Jericho works the back of Benjamin in preparation for the Walls of Jericho. Jericho comes off he ropes with a bulldog take down. The positioning of Benjamin gets a big cheer as he is perfectly placed for a Lionsault. Jericho soaks in the cheers before going for and missing the Lionsault. Benjamin moving at the last minute. Benjamin gets himself a breather with a Release German Suplex on Jericho.

Jericho regains control seconds later as he leap frog's Benjamin's spear. Benjamin hits the ring post hard & Jericho goes to work on the shoulder now.
Jericho is gaining momentum when he catches the super-kick attempt from Benjamin, spins him away and gets caught with a Dragon Whip. Benjamin goes for a pin but can only get two. Benjamin has had enough & he signals that its over. But instead of going for His T-Bone suplex he goes to the feet of Jericho & locks in the Walls of Jericho. Stuck in the middle of the ring Jericho is staring defeat in the face via his own move. Jericho pushes himself up as the fans get behind him. Benjamin leans his full weight back on Jericho sending him back down to his chest.

Benjamin leans back fully but losses his grip on Jericho. Jericho takes the slip up & grabs the ankle's of Benjamin then locks him in The Walls of Jericho. Benjamin fights & struggles but ends up tapping out.

Chris Jericho is announced as the winner via submission in 17:25.

Jericho is given no time to celebrate as Monty Brown makes his way to the ring & stares down Jericho. Monty tells Jericho he'll be seeing him later tonite while Jericho mimics Monty's Pounce pose.

Jeff Hardy makes his way to the ring & gets in the face of Jericho before offering him a handshake. Jericho accepts & wishes him luck.

Hardy slides into the ring & ducks a clothesline from Brown & connects with a dropkick sending Brown to the floor outside the ring. Monty gets to his feet then kicks the ring steps in anger. Brown turns to get back into the ring but gets Jeff Hardy diving thru the ropes at him instead. Both men crash to the floor. Hardy is first to his feet. Hardy gets up onto the ring apron & takes a run towards Monty. Hardy comes off with a clothesline. Hardy then takes this time to pose for the crowd.

Brown is back to his knee's before Hardy pulls him to his feet. Hardy goes for an Irish Whip but Brown reverses & sends hardy into the steel security rail.
Hardy holds his spine in pain but that's the least of his problems. Monty Brown is in the three point stance ready for Hardy. Hardy stumbles away from the rail & Brown charges. Brown hits Hardy full force in the chest with a modified Pounce. Hardy flies backwards & again crashes into the security rail. Brown climbs back into the ring as the ref unwillingly counts Jeff Hardy out.

Monty Brown is announced the winner via Count Out in 4:02.

Monty Brown heads back outside the ring & picks up a steel chair. Brown smashes Hardy across the back with the chair before putting Hardy's head on the ring steps & taking aim. D'Lo Brown run down to the ring before Monty can crush Hardy's skull. Brown backs up & leaves as D'Lo checks on Hardy. Hardy is helped back up the aisle but is met by the Giant Bernard who hits a big boot & keeps walking towards the ring. D'lo gets the match started with a dive from the ring steps onto the advancing Bernard.

D'lo lays into Bernard with rights & lefts on the floor outside knowing his best chance is to keep the big man down. D'lo's offence is short lived as Bernard soon fights back to his feet & clotheslines D'lo. Bernard climbs back into the ring & waits for D'lo. D'lo foolishly slides into the ring & Bernard drops all his weight on the back him. Bernard dominates D'lo for most of the match hitting several back-breakers & bear-hugs.

Bernard goes for a splash in the corner but D'lo drops out of the ring. D'lo sensing his opportunity climbs to the top rope & hits a flying cross body but only gets a two. D'lo goes off the ropes & hits Bernard in the knee with a dropkick. Bernard grabs his knee & rolls out of the ring in agony. D'lo doesn't buy in & continues the assault on the outside being sure to break the count every few seconds. D'lo wraps Bernard's knee around the ring post & climbs back into the ring.

Bernard slowly limps back into the ring & D'lo drops all of his weight onto his back as revenge. D'lo spends the next few minutes working over the knee until Bernard counters a leg lock by kicking D'lo in the head. D'lo stumbles backwards into the corner. Bernard charges but again misses the splash. D'lo connects with a spinning heel kick that floors Bernard. D'lo quickly gets to the top rope & hits the frog splash for the three count.

D'lo Brown is announced the winner via pin-fall in 12:36.

D'lo quickly leaves the ring not wanting to risk the wrath of a pissed off Giant.
Sean Waltman makes his way to the ring for his match next. When he gets to the ring he offers a hand shake to his former tag team partner. Bernard shakes but then takes Waltman's head off with a clothesline. Bernard goes off the ropes & hits a big splash on the prone Waltman.

RVD makes his way to the ring & is also greeted by Bernard. Bernard hits a big boot on RVD then a dominator. Bernard leaves the ring as the next match starts with both men down & out.

The ref doesn't start a count like he should but instead gives them both a minute to recover. Waltman is first to recover as he crawls over to Van Dam & goes for a pin. Van Dam kicks out at two. Waltman drags Van Dam to his feet & attempts an X-Factor but Van Dam kicks his way out. Van Dam hits a roundhouse kick that knocks Waltman to the mat. Van Dam, with a burst of Adrenaline, goes off the ropes & hits some Rolling Thunder before falling in a heap again. Van Dam crawls to the corner then manages to get to the top rope. Van Dam comes off & connects with a Five-Star Frog Splash to the back of Sean Waltman. Van Dam slowly rolls Waltman over & gets the three count to advance.

Rob Van Dam is announced the winner via pin-fall in 3:59.

Waltman & Van Dam slowly make their way backstage with a little assistance after Bernard vicious attack. Rob Conway makes his way to the ring & he taunts Waltman on his loss. Waltman reacts by giving him the one fingered salute. Billy Kidman then makes his way to the ring completely ignoring Waltman as they pass in the entrance tunnel.

Conway lets us know his game plan by starting with a thumb to the eye of Kidman. Conway takes Kidman down with a suplex then begins to choke him. The next few minutes consist of Kidman trying to gain an advantage only for Conway to cheat to regain his.

Conway locks a sleeper in on Kidman but it turns into more of a choke without the ref noticing. Eventually the ref notices Kidman turning purple & checks Conway's arm. Conway quickly re-adjusts it to a sleeper hold. The ref says it's legal. Conway slowly moves his arm back into a choking position but the ref sees what he is doing & calls for a break. Conway refuses as the ref starts to count. Conway breaks just before he gets DQ'ed.

Conway stamps on Kidman's head then argues with the ref. Kidman gets enough about him in order to roll up Conway but cant hold him for the three. Conway quickly elbow's Kidman in the back of the head after the kick out.
Conway goes outside his comfort zone & to the top rope. He comes off with a frog splash attempt but Kidman moves at the last second. Conway stumbles back to his feet holding his ribs & Kidman hits the BK Bomb for a two count. Kidman pulls Conway to his feet & gets a thumb in his eye for it. Conway hits a DDT then slides out of the ring.

Conway grabs two steel chairs, puts one on the ring steps then goes around the other side to get back in wit the second chair in hand. The ref stops Conway at the ropes & an argument follows. Conway eventually gives it up & gives the chair to the ref. The ref goes to get rid of the chair as Conway goes for the other. Kidman gives the Chair to Conway's Skull then tosses it out of the ring. Kidman climbs to the top rope & hits a shooting star press for the three count.

Billy Kidman is announced the winner via pin-fall in 8:27.

Kidman goes outside & celebrates with some fans. In the ring Conway has come to & is talking to the ref. Conway shows the ref the chair Kidman used then tossed away. Kidman makes his way back up the aisle as the ref reverses his decision & DQ's Billy Kidman.

Rob Conway is announced the winner via DQ after a decision reverse.

Kidman can't believe it but he takes the high road & just leaves while shaking his head. Conway meanwhile is celebrating back up the aisle as Amazing Red comes out for his match.

Conway & Red come face to face until Red's opponent Kid Kash attacks him with a steel chair. Conway gets a few shots in then leaves. Kash drags Red to the ring & lays into him with steel chair shots. Kash finishes his assault with a Dead level on a chair. Kash covers Red & tells the ref to count. The ref does & unsurprisingly Red doesn't kick out.

Kid Kash is announced the winner via pin-fall.

Kid Kash takes a few more shots then leaves as Red is attended to. Red needs to be helped back up the aisle.

Juvi, Psicoisis, La Resistance, Chuck Palumbo & Johnny Stamboli are in the ring as The Natuals make their entrance.

All eight men are in the ring & trading insults when the bell rings.
Douglas drops Dupree with a leg sweep on the mat. Stamboli gets nailed with a charging body block from Psicosis, both men fall to the outside. Stevens gets nailed with a clothesline from Palumbo. Juvi hits Douglas from behind then places Douglas on the turnbuckle and hits a superplex.
Both men get back to their feet. Juvi hits a short forearm smash to Douglas. Douglas stumbles backwards & Stevens is tagged in by Douglas. Palumbo clotheslines Juvi from behind. Stevens hits Super-Kick on Palumbo sending him out to the floor. Stevens then Irish Whips Juvi to the corner of the ring. Douglas punches Juvi repeatedly from the outside.

Dupree comes into the ring & stomps Juvi in the ribs repeatedly. Juvi eye rakes Dupree. Juvi hits a hurracanrana out of no where then elbows Douglas off the apron to the floor. Juvi gets to the top rope & Dupree gets hit with the shooting star press from Juvi. Ref counts the pin but Stevens breaks it. Stevens attempts a suplex but Juvi counters with one of his own.
Dupree gets back on his feet but Juvi spins aroround Dupree's back and reverse DDTs him into the mat. Juvi chants start. Dupree is dragged to his feet by Juvi who then places Dupree on the turnbuckle and executes the belly-to-back superplex. Juvi climbs to his feet. Juvi leg drops Dupree then goes for a pin & gets a two count.

Dupree is back on his feet. Juvi picks up Dupree and delivers a tilt-a-whirl suplex. Another pin & another kick out. Juvi climbs to the top of the turnbuckle and hits a diving headbutt on Dupree. Juvi then hits an elbow drop on Dupree.
Douglas & Stevens move silently back into the ring & Douglas hits a back neck-breaker on Juvi. Stevens throws Juvi over the top rope onto Stamboli & Grenier.
Douglas moves back to his feet as Dupree is up again. Douglas throws Dupree off the ropes and hits him with a flying forearm. Douglas gets back to his feet again. Douglas thrust kicks Dupree in the side of the head stunning him head. Stevens lifts Dupree up as The Naturals hit the Natural Disaster for the three count.

The Naturals are announced the winners & new EWA Tag Team Champions in 26:51.

D'Lo Brown makes his way to the ring next & congratulates The Naturals on the way. Van Dam then walks to the ring. D'Lo Brown jumps out of the ring. Then D'Lo Brown gets nailed with a suicide dive from Van Dam!

D'Lo Brown recovers quicker and kicks Van Dam in the face. D'Lo throws Van Dam back into the ring. Van Dam gets up to his feet then takes a shortcut & gouges D'Lo Brown's eyes out. D'Lo Brown gets hit with a Split Legged Moonsault from Van Dam. Referee makes the count. D'Lo kicks out at two.Now D'Lo Brown standing. Van Dam grabs D'Lo Brown by the arm and breaks it over his shoulder. Van Dam drives a forearm into the head of D'Lo Brown.
