In the world of professional wrestling, promotions and empires rise and fall. In the ring, behind the scenes, in front of the camera, and behind closed and secured doors, words are said, and actions are done that change the face of professional wrestling. After years of preparation and waiting, one small promotion hopes to make it into the big leagues and become a global establishment. It's name is StrikeForce Wrestling.
The original plan had been developed years ago. Two young guys, Aaron Wells and Matthew Carlo, had become sick of the current business of professional wrestling. From the stale and repetitive taste of World Wrestling Entertainment, to the exciting but often let down of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, the product had become stale and tiring. With the energy of two youths they devised a strategy of how they would change the face or wrestling forever. Together they went to various cities, states, and even countries, talking to former wrestlers, Indy promotion wrestlers, and younger guys looking to make it big. After conversing with various wrestlers and other personalities and individuals they decided it was time to put their plan to to action. But unfortunately almost all of that came to a sudden and complete halt. Matthew Carlo was involved in a serious and nearly deadly accident that left him in the hospital incapacitated. With only half the funds many of the formerly interested individuals backed off slightly not wanting to get involved in something they could not benefit from.
But six months later Matthew awoke. Being paralyzed from the waist down prevented him from doing many of the things he loved, unfortunately including wrestling. But after winning a major eighty million dollar lawsuit, they put their past behind them and focused on the future. StrikeForce Wrestling had begun.
Notice: The majority of this roster consists of wrestlers who either currently are, or were for a large part of their career on the independent circuit. As I write my shows I will be using very little of their non idy circuit wrestling past except for a few eg. Mr. Kennedy, for the sake of having a more original feel to this thread.
With the debut of the first ever episode of StrikeForce wrestling, former friends and past rivals will colide in an event that will be unlike any other ever witnessed before. With three new titles waiting to be given to an owner, you can guarantee that every wrestler will be putting on their best performance for the right to put that gold around their waist. Although little information has been released yet about StrikeForce wrestling, the management has released a statement with the following information regarding their first ever live airing.
StrikeForce Wrestling is not only a company but a ring where wrestlers from many nationalities, sizes, weights, and styles will meet. Below is a preview of our three main event matches of the evening.
For the most important title, the World Championship, a six man Round-Robin tournament will begin where over the course of the next three weeks, randomly selected wrestlers, will face off against each other with the victor of the deciding fall gaining a point for themselves. Whoever has accumulated the most points at the end of the three weeks will be declared the World Champion. Below are the listing of the first three matches announced for the Round-Robin tournament.
Kishi vs. John Walters Orlando Jordan vs. Mr. Kennedy Samoa Joe vs Low-Ki
Speaking of titles, the other singles title, the Lightweight Championship will be decided in a Fatal Four Way Elimination match. Eliminations will be counted by pin fall or submission only. There are no count outs or disqualifications. That match will consist of the following wrestlers.
Matt Sydal vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Alex Shelly vs. Jack Evans
And finally in a match up of former friends and enemies, The Phenomenal AJ Styles will take on C.M. Punk. What could be in store when these two meet? The only way to find out is to tune into StrikeForce Wrestling this Saturday night.
