Backstory To McMahon's Revenge

The year is 2087. The one world government headed by the Illuminati has finally after years of research invented what is known as a time machine. The remarkable device would allow time travel to any period that has already happened. Unlike other retail time machines which are common place in almost every house hold, this is not a recreational device. Retail time machines allow users to experience the past without any consequence. The time machine just invented would completely alter every event known to man if just one small marginal detail was changed by whoever decided to travel with it.
The President of the world, and the person over seeing this project was none other than World President Vincent Kennedy the third. His daughter Stephanie Kennedy had recently married a young time travel scientist named Hunter Hearst Sparticus. Despite criticism that Hunter Hearst Sparticus was not fit to be the head scientist of the project, Vincent Kennedy appointed him.
Despite warnings from fellow scientists, Hunter Hearst Sparticus used the time machine for his own doings. He went back in time and was never seen again. Little did Hunter Hearst Sparticus know, the ramifications of his actions would forever change the course of time.

Back track to late 1997. In the world of Pro Wrestling the World Wrestling Federation was competing with WCW. After the hugely successful nWo angle WCW's popularity had sky rocketed. The WWF's roster was barren, and they were quickly spiraling into bankruptcy. Their top star and champion Bret Hart was getting ready to wrestle his last match for the WWF against Shawn Michaels at Survivor Series as he had signed with WCW.
Originally Vince had been adamant that Bret Hart would drop the championship to Shawn Michaels. Bret being highly patriotic refused to drop the title in Montreal, and in turn offered Vince to drop it the next night on Raw despite the fact that he was not contractually obligated to do so. Going against his gut feeling, Vince trusting Bret allowed him that accommodation.....one which would forever haunt Vince.

WCW Nitro-November 10th 1997
--WCW Nitro opens to a packed house. Eric Bischoff is in the center of the ring. The atmosphere is unreal.
BISCHOFF For a man who has been involved in this business one way or another for his whole life, Vince....you should have known better....For months, WCW has been building a coffin for the archaic WWF and tonight the final nail gets hammered in. Because you see, Vince is advertising WWF Champion Bret Hart to take on Shawn Michaels live on Raw. The only issue is.....Bret never showed up to the taping....Bret never dropped the belt....and Vince....this is giving me chills....I can't even.....
--A guitar riff kicks in, a familiar looking wrestling wearing pink tights and a leather jacket walks down the ramp. Once the fans recognize it is Bret Hart they go wild, as soon as the big screen zooms in at the belt around his waist a surreal hush fills the arena. Bret Hart is wearing the WWF Championship....on WCW Nitro....
--Bret Hart grabs a microphone.
BRET HART I got a call from Eric Bischoff the night after Survivor Series. Bischoff knew I hold my character in the highest regard. That is why it made me sick to my stomach when he offered me an extra 10 million dollars to come on WCW Nitro and smash the WWF championship to smithereens....I turned down that ten million.
This is the same belt that greats like Bruno Sammartino and Bob Backlund wore. At one time, wearing this belt meant you were the greatest in the world. Bischoff, there is a reason I refused that 10 million dollars....because it doesn't take that much money for me to realize the obvious fact that this belt no longer means sh*t.
--Bret Hart slowly unstraps the belt around his waist and slams it on the ground.
BRET HART The guy who made this belt mean so much are all in a nursing home somewhere, and the other half are here in the WCW roster. I was held hostage in that no competition joke of a wrestling promotion WWF for far too long. I forgot what it felt like to compete against the greatest talent the world has to offer, and I look forward to doing that here. The only belts worth fighting for are the ones with the WCW Logo branded on them. F*ck you Vince, f*ck you WWF. Thank you Eric.
--Bischoff and Bret Hart hug. They both spit on the WWF belt. Bischoff stops Hart and goes to the outside. He grabs a sledgehammer from under the ring. He lets Bret do the honors. Bret smashes the belt. The fans are going nuts.
-------
Shortly after these events, the WWF went out of business. Vince McMahon sold WWF's properties to WCW. Vince McMahon was forced to sign a 3 year ambassador deal with WCW. Vince did not have to actually do anything through the contract, it was simply a means of having a no compete clause.
WCW began releasing wrestlers in droves. Due to the lack of proper competition they no longer needed to monopolize the talent.

Despite Bischoff's persistence, Steve Austin refused to sign with WCW. Austin wrestled in Japan, and became the headlining star in ECW. ECW was thriving and well on its way to becoming a national entity until Paul Heyman died in a tragic car crash. Without it's true visionary, ECW lost it's way. WCW soon purchased the video library and trademarks. Wrestling was now truly monopolized.
Come 2001, the ambassador deal had run out. Vince was easily set for life. McMahon bitter and defeated uncharacteristically intended to lay back and relax for the rest of his days....until he got a call that would change his life....a call from the financial backers who intended to put together Pro Wrestling Alternative.

The Rock VS Goldberg in jeopardy? Press conference to be held next week to announce the first PWA show. Plus, this weeks Nitro ratings.
-The Rock is said to have possibly been injured in last Mondays Nitro rematch against Hulk Hogan. WCW has been keeping the details under wraps, but many speculate that this could put the WCW WrestleMania Main Event with The Rock challenging Goldberg for the belt in jeopardy. It has been rumored for months that The Rock was going to win his first WCW World Championship at this event. We'll have to wait and see how this unfolds.
-Pro Wrestling Alternative has sent out press kits advertising a conference next Monday headed by Vince McMahon. It was advertised that McMahon will be sharing the details on what will become of the first PWA event.
-WCW Nitro this week drew a 4.9. This was the go home Nitro for the highly important WCW WrestleMania PPV this weekend. With that in mind the rating is some what disappointing.

That is one hell of a backstory, you have a very creative mind i would say. If you have the time check out my GWO Are Time BTB and tell me what you think if you cant no biggie. Again nic work man.
Earlier today Vince McMahon headed the PWA press conference. It was revealed that PWA will be running one 3 hour special a month exclusively on the Showtime network.
PWA's goal is to eventually work their way into becoming a full time travelling promotion with a weekly TV deal, but until then they will run a weekly half hour show from their website. This show will be completely segment based and will center around the matches taking place on their monthly special.
PWA's first monthly special will be an eight man tournament for the PWA Alternative World Championship. A promotion poster along with a event card was unveiled.

Chris Jericho VS Sexton Hardcastle
I think the tournament has a large amount of potential, especially considering we have a very young Adam Copeland involved. A needed push, but an inevitable loss none the same. Steven Regal maybe slightly out of place, but then again that could be said about the likes of Foley and Jericho also. Hopefully its The American Dragon vs. Steve Austin, in the final.
As always you have my full support, even if the post was too yellow.
PWA Alternative World Championship Tournament First of I'm liking the idea of a tournament and although it is used numerous times to start a newborn promotion it is very effective to establish feuds and champions. So you have my full support on this creative promotion, hopefully you stick to it.
Quarter Finals: Raven VS Mick Foley
Just Because I don't like Foley I will be going for Raven. Both men are great though and I just realized that I think you're planning on makin a feud between them and maybe you're going to end up having a hardcore match in the end of it to see whos the most hardcore wrestler. Though I also have this feeling that you might have some sort of Double that will results that the other three winners will have a triple threat but thats just some guesses on what I'd probably do, hopefully you do something amazing with these two men in the future and with this match.
Steven Regal VS The American Dragon Am Dragon for sure, I don't really like Regalthough again we have a possible feud their because both men are great submissionist... wait not a feud but they will make a tremendous and a feud would only work in the future I don't want it to happen now.
Steve Austin VS Eddie Guerrero I'm pulling for Eddie Guerrero he's my favorite wrestlerall-time and I think he deserves one run as he is a tremendous wrestler and entertainer. We also have Steve Austin who I suppose your going to win and he's also a great entertainer and wrestler and probably the greatest ever though I just don't think he should win as he isn't the same guy he is in real life since he had never gone to WCW nor WWF so honestly he isn't as great as he is supposed to be.
Chris Jericho VS Sexton Hardcastle I wasn't sure to who to pick for this match, Sexton Hardcastle I suppose is Edge though I just don't think he is an established star to win this match while we have Jericho who isn't as great as he should've been since he hasn't been an Undisputed champion nor a nine time IC champ, I think he's won the WCW title not too good on my history. Though I'll have to go with Jericho since he'sa bit more popular, maybe use this as a means to get Sexton some popularity.
Now in the end I'm thinking two things for the finals: Jericho Vs. Am Dragon Vs. Eddie Guerrero or Jericho Vs. Eddie Guerrero and Am Drag Vs. Raven and in the end Eddie Guerrero Vs. Raven

Steve Austin VS Eddie Guerrero
Eddie Guerrero had already made his name as a star in both Mexico and Japan before crossing the border into the land of extreme. Shortly after debuting on American soil for the ECW promotion, Guerrero was signed to a big money contract by WCW. In early 1998 WCW heavily restructured it's roster after purchasing and raiding the WWF. A catastrophic amount of talent was released, Guerrero being one of them. Guerrero would continue to become a big name internationally after his release. The one thing that would allude Guerrero would be stardom in the USA.
Steve Austin's story is significantly different. In late 1997 Steve Austin was Pro Wrestling's brightest rising stars. Many Pro Wrestling experts predicted that Austin would be the biggest star in the wrestling world upon getting his chance to carry the ball. Those predictions were validated when a red hot Steve Austin won the 1998 Royal Rumble thus setting up Austin to face HBK for the WWF World Championship at WrestleMania. Unfortunately for both the WWF and Steve Austin, the WWF went out of business in February of 1998. WrestleMania was cancelled, and Vince would soon sell the WWF to Ted Turner and WCW. WCW had the chance to purchase any wrestlers contracts (assuming the wrestlers consented) for the salary and terms which the wrestlers were signed for. WCW saw Austin's momentum and attempted to persuade him to join WCW. Despite being offered an astronomical seven figure deal, Austin decided to wrestle primarily for ECW for much less money.
--Steve Austin is being interviewed in front of a plain backdrop.
NARRATOR Why did you turn down a seven figure deal from WCW?
AUSTIN Because I know, everybody knows, Eric Bischoff is a piece of trash. Good old Stone Cold puts his pride well before his wallet. Some might accuse me of being stupid, but I thought that ECW was the place for Steve Austin. I still believe had it not been for Heyman's untimely death, we'd be right up there with WCW in a new wrestling war right now.
--Guerrero is being interviewed in front of a plain backdrop.
GUERRERO
Austin makes me absolutely sick. I come from a long line of Pro Wrestlers. When Austin turned down that multi million dollar deal with WCW to go wrestle in some rat infested bingo hall, he spat in each and every one of our faces. Every one of us would have loved to be in his position, and he took it for granted. That same year I got released from WCW and instead had to wrestle overseas away from my wife, away from my little girls, just so I could provide for my family. Austin doesn't want it bad enough. Any person who'd turn down a shot to headline the biggest wrestling promotion in the world doesn't want it bad enough. That is why I will defeat him at PWA 1 and capture my first World Championship.
--Austin once again is interviewed.
AUSTIN Guerrero says I don't want it bad enough? Make no mistake, look into these eyes. I've had countless injuries, I've almost paralyzed myself by having my neck broken, yet I still have the desire to go out there each and every night and tear apart pieces of trash like Eddie Guerrero. Why? Because I want to be World Champion. From what I have seen Eddie Guerrero is a great competitor, but I am the best wrestler to never win the World Championship, and Eddie Guerrero's sob story about working in a Taco Bell after being fired from WCW doesn't change that. He's in my way, so I'm going to stomp a hole in his ass.
--Guerrero once again is interviewed.
GUERRERO Austin made a Taco Bell joke?
--Guerrero gets up and throws his chair. He is now red in the face. Sweat dripping from his mullet. His veins have doubled in vascularity. Guerrero pulls the camera close in to his face.
GUERRERO AUSTIN, YOU THINK IT'S FUNNY TO DISRESPECT ME? YOU THINK IT'S OKAY TO DISRESPECT MY FAMILIES LEGACY? COME THE ALTERNATIVE TITLE TOURNAMENT I WILL BEAT YOU, I WILL DESTROY YOU, HELL I WILL BREAK YOUR NECK ONCE AGAIN SO THAT THERE IS ONE LESS DISRESPECTFUL PIECE OF TRASH POLLUTING THE WRESTLING WORLD. I DON'T CARE IF THESE FANS ARE DUMB ENOUGH TO CHEER YOUR IGNORANT REDNECK BEHAVIOUR. I DON'T NEED THESE FANS, ALL I NEED IS THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP AND YOU'RE THE FIRST PERSON STANDING BETWEEN THAT BELT AND MY WAIST.
--We cut back to Austin for his final thoughts on the match.
AUSTIN Guerrero, I don't give two shits about your legacy, I don't give two shits about your family, and I certainly don't give two shits about that stupid mullet of yours. You want to try to break my neck? You want to try to end my career---nah uh. That ain't happenin. What's gonna happen come PWA 1 is Stone Cold is going to walk in, drink some beer, whoop your sorry hispanic ass, drink some more beer, whoop a little more ass, and celebrate with his PWA Alternative World Championship. That's the bottom line….cause Stone Cold said so!
--The scene fades out to the PWA logo.

First off you play Stone Cold really well and I always loved your WWE 2K9 though I never commented on it. Though I didn't think Stone Cold would have the same personality he has in reality with all those changes and he hasn't had time to build it as much. Still it don't matter, as for the part of Eddie Guerrero, I think it would be wicked if you would've decided to do his Latino Heat, Lie, Cheat and Steal gimmick becauswe that's the Guerrero we all know and love and seeing that you might not be portraying that gimmick, I can easily predict that Stone Cold is going to woop some ass, drink some bear and woop a little more ass.

Good luck on this you've got my support!
Austin was still doing Stone Cold and his catch phrases well into 97. He was well into the rebellion gimmick as well stunning people for shits and giggles leading up to the 97 Rumble is a perfect example of this. Of course it didn't reach it's potential until he became champion and found the perfect foil in Vince McMahon's corporate heel character....but it was still there.
So far I've established that the WWF ended shortly before WrestleMania 14 was able to go down, which in turn makes sense for Austin to be the rebellious redneck type.
As always, thank you for the comment. It is much appreciated.
