WCW News:
-WCW WrestleMania 17 was considered a massive success. Despite injuring himself on Nitro, The Rock competed in the Main Event. The Rock went over Goldberg for the WCW Championship and ended what has been an almost three year world title reign. The semi-main event saw the reunited red and yellow Mega Powers Hogan and Savage go over Sixx and Scott Hall. In the third main event Bret Hart was retired by United States Champion Hunter Hearst Helmsley. PWA News:
-Puerto Rican mainstay Sean Morley announced during an interview with Figure Four Radio that he has signed a contract with Vince McMahon's PWA. He wouldn't give any details regarding how and when he'd debut, but he said that his character would be "shocking'."
-Expect the PWA roster to expand to 16 people in the very near future. PWA currently has a three show deal with Showtime. Logically this extra talent will be brought in to buffer up the card for PWA 2.
-A press release was sent out today from the desk of Vince McMahon. An excerpt from the release reads "When running a wrestling company it is very important to prepare for the long haul. With that in mind, Pro Wrestling Alternative is proud to announce a partnership has been formed with Shawn Michael's Texas Wrestling Academy. Texas Wrestling Academy will now be PWA's first development territory'."

-PWA has confirmed through a news article on their website that Sean Morley has in fact been signed. They also have announced the signing of former WWF Intercontinental Champion Goldust.
-There are rumours that Canadian Indie Star Joe E. Legend is in heavy negotiations with PWA. PWA is interested in bringing in Joe E. Legend to reform Sex and Violence with his former partner Adam Copeland.
-As previously stated PWA has signed a deal with Showtime which entitles them to three shows in a Prime Time Sunday time slot. Bell Express Vu's advance programming guide has "leaked" previews of Pro Wrestling Alternative 2 and 3 on Showtime. Pro Wrestling Alternative on Showtime 2 is entitled "Fallout", where as 3 is entitled "The Resurrection Of Tag Team Wrestling".

BREAKING NEWS!!!
-Vince McMahon held an impromptu Press Conference today to announce the signing of a major international wrestling star. He claims this star has never wrestled for a promotion in North America and that he had made an agreement with his home wrestling promotion to allow him to wrestle for PWA so long as it doesn't conflict with his commitments to said home promotion.
The star will be revealed live at Pro Wrestling Alternative 1 on Showtime.
-PWA part 2/4 Preshow episode is set to debut on PWA's website later tonight.
-PWA has announced the signing of Dean Malenko. It has been rumoured that Eddie Guerrero played a major role in getting the signing done.

Lord Steven Regal is commonly referred to as one of the best all around talents to fall under the radar. Despite past stints in World Championship Wrestling, Steven Regal has claimed to that he has never reached his full potential as a superstar. Much of that can be blamed on past demons such as Alcoholism, which he is currently conquering. For Steven Regal, the PWA Alternative World Championship tournament is not only about fame and glory, but also redemption.
The American Dragon made his pro wrestling debut in 1999 after being trained by former WWF Champion Shawn Michaels and Steven Regal. In his short career, The American Dragon has travelled across the globe exposing himself to a multitude of wrestling styles. The obvious backstory to the American Dragon's first match here in PWA is whether or not he can beat his trainer and mentor Steven Regal.

NARRATOR What are your thoughts on your opponent, Lord Steven Regal?
AMERICAN DRAGON Despite what others may think, he's a very kind man. He's always been respectful to me, and without him I don't think I would have made it in this business thus far. He has lent me a lot of support which has gone a long way for me.
--Regal is now being interviewed.
NARRATOR What are your thoughts on Dragon as a student, and how far has he come since his training?
LORD STEVEN REGAL Dragon was by far the best student to come out of the Texas Wrestling Academy. The instant he walked in both Shawn and I knew that he would amount to greatness. I think he has come quite far in learning a vast amounts of styles, but one thing he doesn't have is over a decade of experience in this business. I think this will be a great learning experience for him, and I think him and I can put on a great match.
--We flip back to Danielson.
NARRATOR Regal questioned your experience. Despite thinking you are great, he thinks experience might be the x factor.
AMERICAN DRAGON In some ways, Regal is right. He does have the edge when it comes to experience. But I've been training hard. Where he beats me in experience, I beat him in agility and youthfulness. I respect Regal very much, but I think he will be in for a surprise come PWA 1. Win or lose, I will give him a run for his money.
NARRATOR Do you think either you or Regal could possibly come out as champion?
AMERICAN DRAGON There is some phenomenal talent in the tournament. With that said, none have the pedigree that Regal has. I understand that that's a strong statement, but I really do believe it. Regal going against me might not be the Main Event match, and it might fly under certain fan's radars because I have never wrestled on National Television. I can guarantee that we will have the match of the night, and that whoever wins our match could very well go on and surprise the millions who will tune in.
--Regal is interviewed once again.
LORD STEVEN REGAL I've seen what Danielson can do…and he's right he could very well beat any of those other 6 men listed for this tournament. He is one of the few who will inherit this business when his time comes. Emphasize that….when his time comes. What Danielson fails to realize, is despite how fond I might be of the boy I have no reservations about breaking every bone in his body to get to that title. For him, I'm the gatekeeper and he must defeat me to get any further in this tournament or his career for that matter. Not to say that he won't give me a great match….but I really don't see a defeat being in my future.
-Danielson is flipped back to.
AMERICAN DRAGON Regal is a very proud man, I understand that….but if there was one thing that Regal taught me in training is to never underestimate your opponent. That one thing is what Regal is forgetting. I think it will be the one thing that could lead to me defeating him come PWA 1.
