Friday Night Smackdown Preview

Friday 18th September

Last Sunday at Breaking Point, a lot things changed with the news of a immediate complete roster draft that saw Randy Orton and his WWE Championship drafted to Smackdown. Joining him are the likes of Triple H, Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels. With all four men now property of Smackdown one has to wonder what is going to happen in the next few weeks leading up to No Mercy.

Another memorable moment at Breaking Point, was when The Miz went on to beat Kofi Kingston to begin his first ever reign as United States Champion. Victory celebrations may be short lived however as it has been confirmed that Kingston will be having a re-match for the title this Friday. Can Miz hold on the title or will he become just another transitional champion?

Also with Benjamin and Haas on Smackdown once more, it has become known that “The World's Greatest Tag Team” has re-formed and will be competing against a team of Kung Fu Naki and Jimmy Wang Yang.

Glad you had Punk retain his championship. This could be decent although it would be nice if you would have scraped the stupid guest host stuff. I'll be reading through this from time to time. Good luck.

Boris Alexiev def. Jamie Noble

{Anthony Carelli formely “Santino Marella” re-debuted under previous gimmick of his Russian shoot fighter gimmick Boris Alexiev (wearing a mask). Alexiev was met by a good reaction from the crowd, after a months of misdirection with the Marella character. Although the match was short, there was definitely a feeling of things to come. Noble also put on a good show, but has become accustomed to playing out the role of jobbing to put over new/reconstructed talent}

The Hart Dynasty (DH Smith & Tyson Kidd) def. The American Wolves (Davey Richards & Eddie Edwards)

{The Hart Dynasty re-united after the draft, with both Smith and Kidd now on the same brand once more saw the two men trained in the Hart Dungeon step up to the plate and prove their worth. With this being said, the American Wolves could have easily have walked away from this match with a win and so it is clear that Richards and Edwards have a lot more to offer in the weeks to come}

WWE Women's Championship

Mickie James def. Katie Lea Burchill

{Current Women's Champion Mickie James defended her Women's Championship against a resolute and determined but not quite good enough Katie Lea Burchill. A match that arguably could have been part of the main Smackdown card, solely on what Mickie James had to offer}

I'm sorry but Raw was absolutely horrible. Take the time to proof read your show. Make sure everything is formatted properly and separately so that the reader doesn't get a headache after the first paragraph. I understand doing short recaps for matches as opposed to each move script for script, but there is no excuse for having absolutely no dialogue or detail in segments. Also write your show in word pad or note pad. I had that same problem with the smiley faces a while back, that is how I got rid of it.

Velocity was well written for what it was, a short show with three matches. If this along with WCW 2001 is an indication of what I should expect from Millar13's format and writing it should be perfectly fine.

My main gripe with Velocity comes in the form of Santino. I understand the Russian shoot fighting gimmick is a lot more effective in making Santino a serious competitor, but it would be like repackaging CM Punk as a beer drinking rebel. Unless Santino was under a mask, nobody would buy the guy who for the last year or two has been the comedy midcarder on Raw as a completely different fictional character. He has been around too long and has cemented himself as Santino Marella.

I look forward to reading Smackdown. Raw at this point is an abomination, but I will reserve judgment until after the first few shows to see if it improves.

also, the show did seemed rushed out because of it, important bits got lost in the suffle, so nobody seems to know whats happening an where, but when one does find it, there are some good nuggets of potential.

Like before Goldie, just format and present nicely, dont rush it all out, if u need ta recap, make it short but informative, but again, as always, gd luck
