Announcers: Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan

Saturday Night Main Event opening video

Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan welcome everyone to the show and go over what is scheduled to be on the show. McMahon promotes the Marty Jannetty/Shawn Michaels lumberjack match. Heenan says that finally Michaels will get his hands on Jannetty and Jannetty won’t be able to run. McMahon dismisses that and says it’s the other way around. McMahon also mentions the number one contenders match between Money Inc and the Natural Disasters. Heenan warns LOD that when Money Inc. wins they will capitalize on their second chance. McMahon lastly promotes the big tag team main event which will see Hulk Hogan team up with Roddy Piper to take on the WWF World Champion Ric Flair and Sid Justice. Heenan sides with the team of Ric Flair and Sid Justice. McMahon sends it over to the ring to start the show.

Opening Contest: Natural Disasters versus Money Inc (#1 Contenders Match)

Typhoon and IRS start the contest with IRS working on Typhoon with several right hands trying to knock the big man down. Typhoon shoves IRS into a corner and delivers a running body splash which causes IRS to bail to the floor. IRS eventually enters the ring again and gouges Typhoon’s eyes. IRS tags in DiBiase who drops a knee off the middle turnbuckle to the leg of Typhoon. DiBiase with a standing fist drop and gets a near fall. DiBiase works on the leg of Typhoon until Typhoon uses his leg strength to send DiBiase into a corner. Typhoon gets up and scoop slams DiBiase down and clutches his leg in pain. Typhoon tags Earthquake who slams DiBiase down and sends IRS to the floor. DiBiase works on Earthquake against the ropes and attempts to send Earthquake across the ring but Earthquake blocks and sends DiBiase into the ropes and connects with a backdrop. DiBiase backs off and tries to tag in IRS, who is still on the floor. Earthquake charges the corner and runs into the boots of DiBiase. DiBiase leaps off the middle rope looking for a double axe handle but is caught in midair and Earthquake locks in a bear hug. On the floor, IRS pulls Typhoon down and Typhoon hit’s the apron face first. Typhoon doesn’t like that, so he goes to grab a chair which gets the referee’s attention. IRS quickly goes to the other side of the ring and grabs his steel briefcase. IRS slides into the ring and nails Earthquake right in the head with the briefcase! DiBiase locks in the Million Dollar Dream as the referee turns around and sees that Earthquake is unconscious. The referee calls for the bell.
Winners and #1 Contenders to the WWF World Tag Team Championships: Money Inc. via TKO

After the match, Money Inc. quickly bail from the ring as Typhoon re-enters the ring to check on his partner.

Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan put over the contest with McMahon not happy the way it ended. Heenan says that the referee earned his paycheck tonight. McMahon believes that Heenan is saying the referee is “on the take”. Heenan avoids the question. McMahon hypes up the Repo Man/Tatanka match which has lead to a match tonight after Repo Man stole Tatanka’s war path feather.

Second Contest: Repo Man versus Tatanka

Tatanka with several chops and overhand chops early on but is stopped with a eye rake. Repo with a double leg takedown and delivers several right hands. Repo with a backbreaker and attempts a shoulder breaker but Tatanka slides off and plants Repo with a Samoan Drop to pick up the win.
Winner: Tatanka via pin fall
After the match, Tatanka gets his war path feather back and clotheslines Repo to the floor when Repo Man attempted to attack Tatanka.

Vince McMahon is happy for Tatanka to get his war path feather back. Heenan doesn’t get what is so great about a stupid feather. McMahon puts over the importance but Heenan doesn’t care. McMahon hypes up the match between The Mountie and Jim Duggan. Heenan believes that the taser will prevail over the 2x4 tonight.

Third Contest: “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan versus The Mountie w/Jimmy Hart

Duggan backs Mountie into a corner and delivers several right hands that actually send Mountie over the top to the floor. Duggan follows and sends Mountie head first into the ring steps and back first into the guard railing. Mountie stumbles around and is taken down with a clothesline. Duggan works on Mountie in the corner with right hands and powers Mountie down with a running power slam. Jimmy Hart gets on the apron and distracts Duggan as he goes for a three point stance clothesline. Duggan grabs Hart and is attacked form behind with the megaphone that Hart had thrown into the ring. The referee calls for the bell.
Winner: “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan via disqualification
After the match, Mountie grabs his taser and taunts the crowd as if he is going to taser Duggan. However, the crowd erupts as the British Bulldog runs down to the ring and nails Mountie with a clothesline. Mountie and Jimmy Hart quickly back peddle to the backstage area shocked to see the British Bulldog.

Vince McMahon is happy to see the British Bulldog return to the WWF and get his hands on the Mountie although it was very brief. Bobby Heenan calls Bulldog a coward for attacking Mountie when Mountie wasn’t paying attention. McMahon thinks that’s fine considering what Mountie did to Bulldog last month. Heenan doesn’t care and thinks that McMahon is a hypocrite. McMahon transitions to promote the “fighting champion” or simply the WWF Intercontinental Champion Bret Hart taking on the powerful Warlord. Heenan predicts that Warlord will separate the shoulders of Bret Hart when he locks in the full nelson and walks away with the Intercontinental Championship.

Fourth Contest: © Bret Hart versus The Warlord (WWF Intercontinental Championship)

Warlord controls Hart early on with a powerful scoop slam and a standing splash which gets a near fall. Warlord sends Hart into the ropes and powers Hart up connecting with a military press slam. Warlord sends Hart back first into the corner and rams his shoulder into the midsection of Hart. Warlord charges the corner but Hart avoids Warlord and takes Warlord down with a side Russian leg sweep. Hart ducks a clothesline and manages to take Warlord down with a side suplex. Hart leaps off the middle turnbuckle looking for a clothesline but Warlord catches Hart and slams Hart down in the middle of the ring. Warlord signals for the full nelson but Hart drops down and manages to roll Warlord up for the surprise win!
Winner and STILL WWF Intercontinental Champion: Bret Hart via pin fall
After the match, Warlord tries to attack Hart but is unable to as Hart fights him off with right hands and dropkicks Warlord to the floor.

Vince McMahon puts over the win by Bret Hart while Bobby Heenan is convinced that Hart had a hand full of tights. McMahon hypes up the lumberjack match between former tag team partners and best friends, Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty. McMahon goes over the lumberjacks for each men and predicts that Jannetty will finally get the revenge he seeks against Michaels. Heenan calls McMahon a “moron” and knows that Michaels will prove he is the better of the two and will walk away the winner tonight.

Fifth Contest: Shawn Michaels versus Marty Jannetty (Lumberjack match)
Michaels lumberjacks are the Beverly Brothers, Rick Martel, Barbarian and Haku. Jannetty’s lumberjacks are the Bushwhackers, Texas Tornado, Big Bossman and Tito Santana.
Jannetty works on Michaels in the corner until Michaels bails to the floor and runs away from the lumberjacks before being forced back into the ring by Bossman. Michaels doesn’t appreciate Bossman putting his hands on him but forgets about Jannetty. Jannetty sends Michaels into the ropes and connects with a spinning back elbow. Jannetty leaps up and takes Michaels down with a hurricanrana. Michaels stumbles around and backs into a corner. Jannetty with ten punches in the corner and plays to the crowd. Michaels manages to lift Jannetty up and drops Jannetty face first against the top turnbuckle. Michaels works on Jannetty in the corner for a few moments taunting the lumberjacks and hip tosses Jannetty to the center of the ring. Michaels attempts a super kick but Jannetty ducks and scoop slams Michaels down. Michaels backs up against the ropes and sends the charging Jannetty over the top to the floor. Jannetty lands right in front of Rick Martel who really goes to work on Jannetty and sends Jannetty into the guard railing. Bossman, Tornado and Santana head over and brawl with the other lumberjacks. Jannetty rolls back into the ring and Michaels continues to work on Jannetty with a side suplex. Michaels goes for the cover but Jannetty kicks out. Michaels goes for a shoulder breaker but Jannetty sends Michaels into the ropes and connects with a cross body for a near fall. Jannetty with a couple of Japanese arm drags and a vertical suplex. Michaels is seen going into his trunks and grabbing a chain, but Bossman sees this and grabs the arm of Michaels so that Michaels wouldn’t be able to hit Jannetty. Michaels spins around and hit with the Rocker Dropper by Jannetty. Jannetty goes for the cover and picks up the win as the lumberjacks brawl on the floor.
Winner: Marty Jannetty via pin fall

After the match, Jannetty is celebrating the win until Shawn Michaels super kicks Jannetty. Big Bossman rolls into the ring and chases Michaels to the floor. Michaels is not happy with Bossman getting directly involved with the contest.

Vince McMahon puts over the match just witnessed and really puts over Marty Jannetty’s win. Bobby Heenan believes that Jannetty didn’t win it himself, as Big Bossman got involved to help Jannetty get a tainted win. McMahon dismisses those claims saying that Jannetty was the one who pinned Michaels in the ring. Heenan gives up trying to persuade McMahon calling him a “hopeless cause”. McMahon hypes up the tag team main event which will see WWF World Champion Ric Flair and Sid Justice taking on the team of Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper.

Footage from WWF Royal Rumble 1992 is shown where Flair eliminated his tag team partner of the event, Sid Justice.

Main Event: WWF World Champion Ric Flair/Sid Justice versus Hulk Hogan/Roddy Piper

Hogan wants to get his hands on Flair, but Flair doesn’t start the match. Hogan and Justice lock up with Justice shoving Hogan down a couple of times. Sid sends Hogan into the ropes but Hogan avoids a big boot and clotheslines Sid over the top to the floor with Sid landing on his feet. Hogan knocks Flair off the apron with a right hand as well. Sid and Flair regroup on the floor with Flair distracting Hogan to allow Justice to attack Hogan in a corner. Sid with several overhand blows and a scoop slam to control Hogan. Sid with a knee drop and chokes Hogan before tagging in Flair. Flair leaps off the middle turnbuckle and connects with a knee drop of his own and struts towards Piper taunting him. Piper tries to get in the ring and that allows Sid and Flair to double team Hogan for a few moments. Flair chops Hogan several times until Hogan reverses and chops Flair in the corner several times. Hogan with a big boot and Flair bails to the floor. Hogan follows and attempts to clothesline Flair but misses and clotheslines the ring post. Flair sends Hogan back into the ring and works on Hogan’s arm with knee drops before tagging in Justice. Justice with a hammerlock scoop slam to control Hogan and drops a leg to the injured right arm of Hogan. Justice signals for a choke slam but Hogan blocks and scoop slams Justice down. Hogan manages to tag in Piper who delivers several right hands to the midsection of Justice. Piper works on Sid against the ropes and eventually manages to tangle Sid in the ropes. Piper delivers several right and left jabs and boots to the midsection. Piper chokes Sid with his wrist tape until Flair enters and brawls with Piper until Hogan enters. Sid gets out of the ropes and works on Hogan and all four men are going at it. The referee is forced to call for the bell as he is unable to regain control.
Winners: No Contest
After the match, Hogan and Piper send Flair and Justice to the floor and taunt them as the crowd cheers them on.

Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan go over the show. McMahon hypes up the Saturday Night Main Event taking place in March and the biggest event of the year, Wrestle Mania VIII taking place in April. Heenan goes on to say that only “real wrestling fans watch the WWF” and that is why Ric Flair is here and not some other champion. On that note, McMahon thanks everyone for tuning in and signs off.

End of show.

Re: Rewriting the Book

I really hope this makes it to the 96-00 period. The first half of the 90's doesn't hold my interest as I'm not a big fan of that era.

With that aside, this is a phenomenal idea. You've executed it extremely well and proficiently. It is extremely well written and right now I would dare to say is the best active BTB.

After the match, the Dangerous Alliance celebrate their win as the crowd jeers them to the back. Garvin helps Hayes up in the ring and although they are disappointed with the outcome they play to the crowd and head to the back.

Jim Ross puts over the hard fought contest that saw Dustin Rhodes prove that he can hang with the top tier talent in WCW. Ventura disagrees and says that Rhodes should have won the match to be considered a top contender. Ventura also finds it sick that Rhodes embraced Steamboat after losing. Jim Ross puts over the match and wonders if Badd hadn’t taken such a big risk perhaps he would have won the match. Ventura dismisses that idea putting Eaton over as a underrated wrestler and believes Eaton had the match in hand once the bell sounded. Ventura doesn’t appreciate Bagwell getting involved in something that clearly didn’t involve him. Ross tries to tell Ventura that Bagwell was looking out for Badd, but Ventura doesn’t care. Ross transitions to a match they both care about, Steve Austin defending the WCW Television Championship against Barry Windham, which is next!

After the match, Barry Windham is handed the championship belt and celebrates with the fans who are cheering Windham on. Paul E. Dangerously and Steve Austin are on the floor ripping up fans signs and throwing their drinks down in a tirade over the loss.

Jim Ross is very happy to see Barry Windham winning the WCW Television Championship while Jesse Ventura is convinced that Windham had a hand full of tights during the pin fall. Ross dismisses that and says that Windham won it fair and square and managed to avoid the interference by Paul E. Dangerously. Ventura demands that Austin must get a rematch because he isn’t convinced that Windham won this one the right way. Ross agrees as he would like to see them do battle some time down the line. Ross hypes up the much anticipated WCW United States Championship match that will see Rick Rude defending against Scott Steiner.

Rude goes for the cover and picks up the win.
Winner and STILL WCW United States Champion: Rick Rude via pin fall
After the match, Rick Rude is awarded the championship belt as Madusa enters the ring and looks at Rude. Rude and Madusa embrace and Dangerously is heard saying “we fooled everyone” and laughing afterwards. Madusa and Rude swerved Scott Steiner!

Jim Ross can’t believe that Madusa set Scott Steiner up to fail in the match. Ross truly thought that Madusa had feelings for Steiner but apparently used Scott Steiner to help Rude retain the championship. Ventura says it’s what a true champion does. Ventura thinks it great that Rude sent a “scout” of sorts to help him defeat Scott Steiner and doesn’t believe there is anything wrong with doing so. Ross finds the whole situation sickening. Ross and Ventura promote the six man tag team elimination match which is coming up next!

Seventh Contest: Ron Simmons/Junkyard Dog/Rick Steiner versus Vegas Connection (Elimination Match)
First Elimination: the Vegas Connection managed to control Junkyard Dog for several moments in the opening minutes of the contest. However, once Vegas plants JYD with a power bomb, it was all over for JYD and JYD is the first man eliminated from the contest.

Second Elimination:
Rick Steiner with several clotheslines on Vegas and a snap power slam on Diamond Studd who got the tag from Vegas. Steiner with a release German suplex and a overhead belly to belly suplex on Studd for a near fall. Steiner attempts the Steiner bulldog off the middle rope but Studd spins around and meets Steiner with a clothesline in midair. Studd with a fall away slam before tagging in Diamond Dallas Page. Page attempts a gut wrench power bomb but Steiner holds onto his legs and takes Page down and delivers right hands. Steiner avoids a clothesline and connects with a bridging German suplex and only gets a near fall as Vegas and Studd broke up the count. Simmons enters and brawls with Vegas but Studd comes from behind and stops Simmons. Page attempts to connect with the Diamond Cutter on Steiner, but Steiner hangs onto the ropes and plants Page with the Steiner bulldog off the middle turnbuckle to eliminate Page from the contest.

Third Elimination:
Steiner is celebrating the elimination and is met with a clothesline to the back of the head by Diamond Studd. Studd places Steiner on the top turnbuckle and connects with a back suplex off the middle rope and gets a near fall. Studd grabs Steiner and delivers a backbreaker. Studd locks in a abdominal stretch and is knock down by Simmons with a clothesline. Simmons wants a tag but Steiner is unable to reach him as Studd pulls Steiner back to his corner. Vegas gets the tag and drops a series of elbows on Steiner. Vegas sends Steiner into the ropes and drops Steiner with a side walk slam for a near fall. Steiner avoids a big boot and knocks Vegas down after several clotheslines. Steiner finally tags in Simmons who powers Vegas down with a running power slam and nearly eliminates Vegas from the match. Simmons leaps off the middle rope and knocks Vegas down with a flying shoulder block. Simmons plays to the crowd and doesn’t realize that Studd has gotten the tag. Studd connects with a choke slam and sets Simmons up for the Diamond Death Drop and connects. Studd goes for the cover and gets the three as Steiner was just late trying to break up the win. This leaves just Rick Steiner taking on Diamond Studd and Vinnie Vegas!

Fourth Elimination:
Rick Steiner is cornered by both Studd and Vegas (who ignores the referees orders to leave the ring). Steiner avoids a right hand from Vegas and clotheslines Studd down. Vegas spins around and is taken down with a side belly to belly suplex. Vegas is clotheslined over the top to the floor. While Vegas is on the floor, he gets the referee’s attention to a possible injury and Steiner is trying to tell the referee that Vegas is faking. Studd low blows Steiner and rolls him up. The referee sees this and slides into the ring to make the count while Studd is holding the ropes for leverage. Studd picks up the win for his team!
Winners: The Vegas Connection via pin fall

After the match, Rick Steiner tries telling the referee that he was low blowed by Studd but the referee tells him he didn’t see it so he can’t call it. Vegas and Studd head up the ramp way with Diamond Dallas Page by their side mocking Rick Steiner.

Jim Ross is clearly not happy with the Vegas Connection continuing to cheat to win matches. Ross doesn’t believe that the Vegas Connection are as good as they claim they are and that they will never be the stars they want to be if they can’t win the right way. Jesse Ventura defends the Vegas Connection by saying that they simply out smarted Rick Steiner, JYD and Ron Simmons “which isn’t hard to do anyway”. Ross can’t believe Ventura would say that, but Ventura says he is saying the what he believes. Ross gives up on Ventura and begins to hype up the much anticipated WCW World Heavyweight Championship match with Lex Luger defending against former friend and tag team partner, Sting. Ross goes over the history between both men which included Luger turning on the fans in July of 1991 to win the championship belt and even putting a bounty on Sting to avoid having to face him here tonight. Ventura believes that Luger will get the job done tonight and will win his own bounty that was placed on Sting. Ross says it is time to find up as Lex Luger versus Sting for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, is next!

Main Event: © Lex Luger versus Sting (WCW World Heavyweight Championship)
Sting comes off the ropes and leaps over the top to attack Luger on the entrance ramp. Sting with several right hands and turns his attention to Harley Race. Sting sends Race off the elevated entrance ramp and plays to the crowd. Luger has gotten up and Sting clotheslines Luger into the ring. Sting gets some momentum and charges to the ring and leaps back over but Luger catches Sting and slams Sting down to stop the brief onslaught. Luger sends Sting into the corner and delivers several blows to the midsection of Sting. Luger sends Sting across the ring and nails Sting with a running forearm smash. Luger goes for the cover but only gets a two count. Luger grabs Sting and continues his offense with a vertical suplex. Luger comes off the ropes and delivers a swinging neck breaker and gets a near fall. Luger signals for the Torture Rack, but Sting slides off and delivers several back hand chops and backs Luger against the ropes. Sting sends Luger across the ring and connects with a leaping cross body for a near fall of his own. Sting connects with a one handed bulldog and Luger rolls to the floor to get some advice from Race. Sting doesn’t wait for Luger to come back into the ring and dives off the top turnbuckle diving into Luger and Race taking both men out. Sting sends Luger back into the ring and again heads to the top turnbuckle. Sting leaps off looking for a splash but Luger gets his knees up and Sting is in some pain. Luger with a scoop slam and backbreaker for a near fall. Luger sends Sting back first into the corner and places Sting on the top turnbuckle. Luger sets Sting up and connects with a superplex. Luger goes for the cover but Sting pops his shoulder up at two. Luger with a gut buster and a back suplex to continue his offense. Luger places Sting on the top turnbuckle again with his back facing the ring and goes for a back suplex from the middle rope but Sting elbows Luger several times. Luger falls down and Sting gains footing on the middle turnbuckle. Sting leaps off and plants Luger with a diving DDT. Sting goes for the cover and nearly picks up the win. Luger stumbles back into a corner and is met with a Stinger Splash. Luger falls down and Sting goes for the Scorpion Death Lock but Harley Race leaps on the apron and distracts Sting and the referee. Sting lets go of the hold and gets in Race’s face. At this time, the Vegas Connection is seen coming down to the ring and Diamond Dallas Page throws a pair of brass knuckles to Luger. Race, Vegas and Studd all distract the referee and Sting. Sting turns around and goes to work on Luger but is met with a shot with the brass knuckles. Sting is out cold. Luger signals for the pile driver and spikes Sting with a pile driver. Race allows the referee to do his job and sees Luger going for the cover. The referee counts and Luger picks up the win.
Winner and STILL WCW World Heavyweight Champion: Lex Luger via pin fall
After the match, Lex Luger celebrates the win with Harley Race and the Vegas Connection. Sting is up in the ring trying to figure out what happened. Jim Ross ends up telling Sting that Lex Luger had been given brass knuckles by Diamond Dallas Page which lead to the ending of the contest. Sting is furious.

Jim Ross is appalled that the Vegas Connection has ruined two matches. Jesse Ventura again disagrees and says that they made two of the best outcomes of the evening. Ross is strongly upset with the finish to the much anticipated main event of the evening and believes that Sting should be given another match but with the other wrestlers barred from ringside. Jim Ross can’t believe Jesse Ventura truly supports those actions and tells Ventura that he was better than that. Ventura says clearly he isn’t. Ross regains composure to plug the next time WCW will be live on pay per view in May with the event known as Wrestle War. In the meantime, Ross hypes up the Clash of the Champions taking place next month. Ross and Ventura sign off ending the broadcast.

End of Show

Re: Rewriting the Book

World Wrestling Federation March 1992

- With Wrestle Mania VIII just around the corner, WWF World Champion Ric Flair remains without a challenger for the biggest event of the year. Flair doesn’t mind that though, as he doesn’t believe there is anyone in the WWF that is worthy of a title shot. Jack Tunney, the WWF President, sees otherwise as he believes there are four men who are deserving a title shot and they will get a chance to fight for that right at Saturday Night Main Event. Jack Tunney announces that the four men will be Sid Justice, Roddy Piper, Jake Roberts and Hulk Hogan. Tunney explains his reasoning for each man. Sid Justice gets the opportunity because Sid was the last one eliminated from the Royal Rumble contest which Ric Flair won to win the championship. Roddy Piper has been given the chance because of the war of words that he has had with Ric Flair over the past several months. Tunney is willing to give Piper the chance to shut Flair up and win the championship at the biggest event of the year. Tunney has awarded Jake Roberts a chance because Jake Roberts was able to defeat a former WWF World Champion, Randy Savage at the Royal Rumble. Tunney makes it clear that he is not condoning the actions Roberts has done towards Elizabeth. Lastly, Tunney announces that Hulk Hogan will get the chance because Hogan was the last WWF World Champion before all of the controversy. Jack Tunney says their must be a winner and that Ric Flair will be defending the championship at the event, no matter what.

- With Jake Roberts in the fatal four way match at Saturday Night Main Event, Randy Savage was furious with that decision and is on a rampage. Savage has made it clear that he is livid with Roberts for what he continues to do to Elizabeth. Randy Savage has told Jack Tunney and Jake Roberts that they better watch out at Saturday Night Main Event, because Savage will be coming for both of them.

- Repo Man strikes again, but this time he steals some gold. Bret Hart was defending the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Virgil on Primetime Wrestling, when Repo Man came down to the ring and was able to steal the WWF Intercontinental Championship successfully. Over the course of several weeks, Bret Hart calls Repo Man a “coward” and a “snake” for sneaking around and stealing important items. Hart tells Repo that he is going to regret stealing something that Bret had fought so hard to get and keep. On a edition of Superstars, Repo Man has a camera man follow him as he goes to a pawn shop where he is trying to sell the WWF Intercontinental Championship. However, at this particular pawn shop there is a sketch of Repo Man saying “do not accept any merchandize from this man”. Repo Man attempts to convince the pawn shop owner he isn’t the same guy in the sketch. What Repo Man doesn’t know is that Bret Hart is at the pawn shop and Hart attacks Repo Man at the shop. A mysterious man has Repo Man’s back, however and helps Repo Man escape the pawn shop with the belt in hand. Jack Tunney announces that Repo Man will face the WWF Intercontinental Champion Bret Hart at the Saturday Night Main Event.

- Shawn Michaels feels that he was screwed out of his match against Marty Jannetty at the last Saturday Night Main Event. Michaels problem is with the Big Bossman who got physically involved in the contest. Bossman defends his actions saying that he was preventing Michaels from cheating, which Michaels denies. Michaels is extremely aggravated so he wants to fight both Big Bossman and Marty Jannetty. Jack Tunney says he will sign the match, only if Michaels is able to find a tag team partner. Michaels does some recruiting and manages to get Rick “The Model” Martel to be his partner. Martel reveals his reasoning that he is tagging with Michaels because he wants to put the “fat, out of shape pastry eating corrupt cop” Big Bossman out of the WWF and wants to help Michaels get the “drug abuser, womanizer” Marty Jannetty out as well. Over the course of several weeks, all four men get in physical altercations before their tag team bout at Saturday Night Main Event.

- Randy Savage may be furious about Jake Roberts getting a chance to get a title shot, but he needs to be focused on a certain “creature of the dark”. Randy Savage has to deal with the voodoo master Papa Shango and his now unwilling partner The Undertaker. Shango and Jake Roberts have made it clear that they want Randy Savage gone from the WWF forever. Shango, having stolen the urn from Paul Bearer, has control over the Undertaker and has directed the Undertaker to take Savage out. Shango is looking for another soul and that soul is Randy Savage. Savage will be taking on the Undertaker at the Saturday Night Main Event.

- Money Incorporated have another chance to win the WWF World Tag Team Championships at Wrestle Mania VIII. In the meantime, they need to get some kind of advantage over the Legion of Doom. Money Inc. have ended their brief business partnership with the Natural Disasters and are going to get the job done themselves. Money Inc. appear to have gotten that advantage by attacking the left knee of Hawk. The Legion of Doom had just gotten done competing in a squash match when Money Inc. snuck into the ring and DiBiase nails Hawk with the steel briefcase on the left knee. IRS tied Animal up in the ropes which allowed the attack. Jack Tunney these actions to be a cowardly act, and has said that Animal will get a small chance for revenge when he faces Ted DiBiase at the Saturday Night Main Event.

- With the British Bulldog returning at last months Saturday Night Main Event, The Mountie is quite worried about his Wrestle Mania VIII meeting against the British Bulldog. Mountie tries to convince Jack Tunney that he used his taser back in January because he was afraid for his safety. Tunney was able to dismiss that claim and makes it clear that British Bulldog will be given the chance to get his hands on the Mountie at Wrestle Mania VIII. Jack Tunney does however put Bulldog in a “warm up match” for the Saturday Night Main Event considering the Bulldog had been out of action for several weeks. The Mountie tells Tunney that he has gotten the best opponent for Bulldog. Tunney agrees with the choice of Mountie. British Bulldog will meet Greg “the Hammer” Valentine!

World Championship Wrestling March 1992

- Arn Anderson and Larry Zbyszko have gotten their cocky attitude back and they don’t care who they hurt and who they make angry. Anderson and Zbyszko defeat The Armstrong Brothers (Brad/Steve) w/ Bullet Bob Armstrong in their corner on a edition of WCW Saturday Night to retain their WCW World Tag Team Championships. Anderson attacks the elderly Bob Armstrong after the contest after Bob got in Anderson’s face as he and Zbyszko beat down Steve Armstrong. As the Dangerous Alliance beat down Bob, his son Brian Armstrong came from the backstage area with a chair and waffled both Anderson and Zbyszko with the chair to help protect his brothers and father. The following week, Brian Armstrong (who has signed with WCW) was attacked backstage by the Dangerous Alliance getting their payback. The Armstrong’s manage to get a series of wins to earn a title shot at the Clash of the Champions. Can the underdog Armstrong Brothers surprise the world and win the WCW World Tag Team Championships?

- Cactus Jack has found a new target, this time focusing on the Junkyard Dog. Cactus Jack viciously attacked JYD on a edition of the Power Hour. Jack took the beating to whole other level by tying JYD’s arms behind his back and planting JYD with several DDT’s on the concrete floor. Jack would eventually explain his actions as wanting to “take all the good guys out so the fans cheer for Cactus Jack“. Jack appears to be wanting to get the fans attention, but fails to realize he is doing it the wrong way. JYD would get some measure of revenge by slamming Jack on the concrete floor a couple of times on a edition of Saturday Night, but Jack appeared to have enjoyed the pain. Will JYD be able to overcome the deranged efforts of Cactus Jack to be approved by the fans, or will Cactus Jack prevail and be loved by the fans?

- The new WCW Television Champion already has a new challenger to deal with. Terrence Taylor, or also known as the Tailor Mad Man, has been vocal that he has everything it takes to be a champion. He dresses like a champion should, he wrestles like a champion, but he has not gotten the chance to be a singles champion. Over the course of several shows, Taylor would openly challenge Barry Windham to give him a WCW Television Championship shot and say that if Windham refused that Windham would forever be considered a “coward”. Windham would confront Taylor and accept the challenge. Taylor, seemingly be grateful, offers to shake Windham hand and Windham shakes Taylor’s hand only to be met with a cheap shot and sent hard shoulder first into the ring post. Taylor tells Windham that he has taken out his shoulder, and will take the WCW Television Championship at the Clash of Champions.

- Tully Blanchard blasted Dustin Rhodes during a interview segment claiming that Dustin is nothing like his father Dusty, which “wasn’t much to begin with” and that the Rhodes family should be ashamed Dustin for being a loser. Blanchard pokes fun at Dustin losing the tag team titles in January, and then losing to Ricky Steamboat at Super Brawl. Blanchard says that Dusty Rhodes was a NWA World Champion while Dustin would be lucky to “be the ring girl to hold that belt”. Blanchard says that a certain someone in the a rival company always had top priority back in the day for that belt, but he isn’t their anymore and Blanchard is seeking to become the WCW World Champion. Just as Blanchard finishes the interview segment Dustin Rhodes brawls with Blanchard clearly not happy with the remarks. Blanchard insults Rhodes during the scuffle. Rhodes would have his own interview time the following week and admit that he has been on a slight losing streak but believes that even at his worse he can beat the “old timer” Tully Blanchard. Rhodes and Blanchard will square off at the Clash of the Champions.

- Bobby Eaton did not appreciate the run in by Marcus Bagwell at Super Brawl that saved Johnny B. Badd from a post match beating. Eaton makes it known that he said he would beat the “flamboyant” Badd and now he is turning his attention to the “pretty boy punk” Marcus Bagwell. Eaton finds it sickening that the female fans cheer and whistle at Bagwell. Eaton is sick of it. Eaton hopes that the female fans will continue to do that when he “breaks every bone is face”. Bagwell believes that Eaton is just jealous of him and Johnny B. Badd. Eaton dismisses that claim as he is just annoyed and believes that wrestling needs to go back wrestling and not to the slogan of “sex sells”. Eaton doesn’t care if he is liked or not liked he is here in WCW to do business and help Paul E. Dangerously. He’d be helping both of them getting rid of another annoyance at the Clash of Champions when he faces Marcus Bagwell.

- After being betrayed by Madusa at Super Brawl and costing him the WCW United States Championship, Scott Steiner has to deal with a fellow Dangerous Alliance member in Steve Austin. Austin insults Steiner for several shows claiming that no one wants to “be around someone with a third grade intelligence level”. Austin tells Steiner that the Dangerous Alliance consists of the best looking and hardest working men in the business who will eventually take over WCW. Austin insults Steiner for even thinking that Madusa would want to associate herself with someone on the losing side of the battle. Steiner finds it funny that she went back to the Dangerous Alliance, then. Austin doesn’t like being called a loser and slaps Steiner in the face. That would lead to a pull apart brawl, and each man insulting the other for several shows. Steve Austin will take on Scott Steiner at the Clash of the Champions to see who the better man is and who is apart of the winning team.

- Speaking of Madusa, WCW United States Champion Rick Rude turns from facing one Steiner Brother to facing another one. Rick Steiner stands up for his brother and wants to get revenge for Scotty. Rick wants to “chew Rick Rude apart and spit him out piece by piece” and says that Rude will be so disfigured that Madusa will be crawling back to Scott Steiner hoping to be with a true man. Rick Rude tells Rick Steiner to wake up from his dream as nobody is better than Rick Rude and Madusa won’t find anyone better than him. Rick Rude makes it clear that he will face Rick Steiner, but refuses to put the WCW United States Championship on the line considering Rick Steiner hasn’t earned a shot. Rick Steiner says he isn’t seeking the belt, but is rather seeking to rearrange the face of Rick Rude and that “WCW won’t be able to recognize the WCW US Champion when I’m done with him!”

- Brian Pillman has been picking up several impressive wins over guys such as Tom Zenk, Richard Morton and Thomas Rich. Pillman managed earn a rematch against Jushin Liger at the Clash of the Champions for the WCW Lightweight Championship.

- The main event at Super Brawl between Sting and Lex Luger saw Sting get screwed over by the Vegas Connection and Luger cheating. Sting was seeking a rematch at the Clash of the Champions but will have to settle for a tag team match instead where if he wins, he will get a rematch against Lex Luger for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Lex Luger manages to find a partner, a man who helped Luger retain the championship at Super Brawl, Diamond Dallas Page. Sting also finds a partner who was involved in a match against Diamond Dallas Page at Super Brawl and also fought Lex Luger for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship at the Clash of the Champions in January. Will Ron Simmons be able to help Sting get a title shot, knowing he will not be getting one if the team wins? Will Lex Luger and Diamond Dallas Page find another cheap way to win and avoid Sting challenge?

Re: Rewriting the Book

I'm really enjoying reading these. I love Michaels and Martel teaming up due to how similar of a falling out they had with their partner and the gimmicks that were born. From recent storylines and matches, the one thing I don't like is the four way for SNME. I really hate when people writes BTB and suddenly older companies are doing triple threats or four ways when several years before the WWE would even do the first match of it's kind in their company.

Re: Rewriting the Book

World Wrestling Federation presents Saturday Night Main Event
Date: March 14th, 1992
From: Hartford, Connecticut
Arena: Hartford Civic Center
Announcers: Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan

Saturday Night Main Event opening video

Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan welcome everyone to Saturday Night Main Event and they promote what will be on the show. McMahon highly promotes the main event which will see Sid Justice, Roddy Piper, Jake Roberts and Hulk Hogan going to battle for a WWF World title match at Wrestle Mania VIII. Heenan goes on record saying that whomever wins the main event tonight, Ric Flair will defeat them at Wrestle Mania VIII. McMahon continues to promote the show which includes Randy Savage taking on The Undertaker, Bret Hart defending the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Repo Man, and Big Bossman teams up with Marty Jannetty to take on Shawn Michaels and Rick Martel. McMahon sends it over to the ring to get the show on the road.

Opening Contest: © Bret Hart versus Repo Man
(WWF Intercontinental Championship)

Repo Man nails Hart across the back of the head with the belt as Hart was on the floor giving fans his shades. Repo was smart enough to hit Hart before the bell, so the referee couldn’t disqualify him. Repo rams Hart back first into the guard railing a couple of times before sending Hart into the ring and getting a near fall. Repo works on the neck of Hart with a neck vice and delivering several knees. Repo connects with a vertical suplex and gets another near fall. Repo backs Hart against the ropes and tangles Hart in the ropes. Repo taunts the crowd as he delivers several boots to the midsection of Hart. Repo comes off the ropes and looks to go for a spear, but Hart manages to untangle himself and Repo crashes to the floor. Hart drops to the floor and sends Repo hard back first into the guard railing. Hart follows up with a side Russian leg sweep into the guard railing. Repo crawls away and rolls back into the ring. Hart re-enters as well and Repo backs off into a corner. Hart works on Repo with right ands and ducks a clothesline attempt by Repo and connects with a back suplex. Hart heads to the middle turnbuckle and leaps off driving Repo down with a diving bulldog. Hart follows up with a backbreaker and gets a near fall. Hart places Repo on the top turnbuckle and manages to connect with a superplex! Hart quickly transitions into the sharpshooter and Repo taps out after a brief attempt to reach the ropes.
Winner and STILL WWF Intercontinental Champion: Bret Hart via submission

After the match, Hart is awarded the championship and Repo Man attempts to attack Hart but Hart manages to backdrop Repo over the top to the floor. Bret Hart celebrates with his fans.

Vince McMahon puts over the win by Bret Hart to retain the WWF Intercontinental Championship. McMahon hopes that this beating will teach Repo Man a lesson on why not to steal from WWF wrestlers. Heenan chimes in and mentions that Repo Man has only stolen things from people who deserved it. McMahon doesn’t understand, so Heenan tells him that Repo Man has only stolen from a Canadian and a Native American (Tatanka). McMahon can’t believe Heenan would say such a thing, but Heenan maintains that Repo Man is a good American. McMahon ignores those comments and hypes up the voodoo master Papa Shango taking on “El Matador” Tito Santana coming up next!

Second Contest: Papa Shango versus Tito Santana

Santana with control early on working on Shango with right hands and avoiding clotheslines. Santana attempts a leaping cross body coming off the ropes but Shango side steps out of the way and Santana crashes to the mat hard. Shango sends Santana chest first into the corner and connects with a back suplex. Shango comes off the ropes and splashes Santana but only gets a near fall. Shango scoop slams Santana down but Santana gets up and battles back with a few right hands. Santana with a jaw breaker and a vertical suplex for a near fall of his own. Santana sends Shango across the ring into the corner but runs right into the boots of Shango. Santana stumbles around and is met with a big clotheslines. Shango grabs Santana and finishes him off with the shoulder breaker.
Winner: Papa Shango via pin fall
After the match, Shango grabs the skull he brings to the ring and proceeds to hit Santana several times until officials run down to the ring and protect Santana from any further damage.

Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan put over the actions of the voodoo master Papa Shango. Heenan thinks its great that The Undertaker now has a great leader in Papa Shango as compared to Paul Bearer. McMahon doesn’t agree and says that he is sure the Undertaker would go back to Paul Bearer, if and when Bearer were to return to the WWF. Heenan says that will never happen. McMahon admits that is a possibility and transitions to the return of the British Bulldog where the Bulldog will face Greg Valentine coming up next!

Third Contest: British Bulldog versus Greg Valentine

Valentine tries to get the early advantage with several right hands and knee lifts in the corner but Bulldog stops Valentine with a clothesline and a back body drop. Bulldog connects with a belly to belly suplex and a side slam for a near fall. Valentine gouges the eyes of Bulldog and scoop slams Bulldog down. Valentine comes off the ropes and connects with a swinging neck breaker and drops several knees to the chest of Bulldog. Valentine with a snap suplex for a near fall again. Valentine signals for the figure four but Bulldog kicks Valentine off and Valentine goes chest first into the corner. Valentine spins around and is planted by Bulldog with the running power slam. Bulldog goes for the cover and picks up the three.
Winner: British Bulldog via pin fall
After the match, Bulldog celebrates the win until the Mountie comes running in from behind and nails Bulldog with the megaphone that he manager Jimmy Hart uses. Mountie hits Bulldog while he is celebrating the win on the middle turnbuckle. Mountie leaps off the middle turnbuckle and drives the megaphone right across the face of Bulldog. Mountie bails from the ring as Jim Duggan charges the ring.

Vince McMahon puts over British Bulldog successful in-ring return to the WWF. Heenan doesn’t believe that Bulldog will have the same success when he faces the Mountie in the near future. McMahon thinks that the British Bulldog will get revenge against the cowardly Mountie. Heenan dismisses that thought. McMahon turns his attention to the tag team match which will see Marty Jannetty and Big Bossman taking on Shawn Michaels and Rick Martel and says that the contest is coming up next!

Fourth Contest: Marty Jannetty/Big Bossman versus Shawn Michaels/Rick Martel
Bossman and Martel start the contest. Bossman with a series of right hands and a discus clothesline to control Martel. Martel with a questionable kick which appears to barely hit Bossman in the midsection. Martel follows up with a knee lift and a knee drop off the ropes. Martel with a scoop slam and sends Bossman into the ropes where Martel dropkicks Bossman down. Martel sends Bossman into the ropes again, but drops his head to soon looking for a back drop and Bossman manages to nail Martel with a uppercut. Bossman with a running clothesline in the corner and tags in Jannetty. Jannetty leaps off the top and takes Martel down with a missile dropkick for a near fall. Jannetty tries to hit Michaels off the apron but Michaels drops off and distracts Jannetty which allows Martel to deliver a running knee to the back of Jannetty. Martel takes Jannetty down with a snap suplex and a back suplex before tagging in Michaels. Michaels tries to go for the quick cover but Jannetty kicks out. Michaels goes for a vertical suplex, but Jannetty knees Michaels in the head and rolls Michaels up for a near fall. Jannetty charges towards Michaels but Michaels lifts Jannetty up and drops him face first across the top turnbuckle. Jannetty stumbles out of the corner and is met with a super kick to the back of the head and Jannetty is hurting. Michaels spits on Bossman which allows Michaels and Martel to work on Jannetty behind the referees back. Michaels attempts a side suplex but Jannetty delivers several right hands to stop Michaels and plants Michaels with a running bulldog. Jannetty gets to his feet and nails Michaels with a spinning back elbow. Jannetty tags in Bossman who drives Michaels down to the mat with a sickening spine buster and gets a near fall. Michaels manages to avoid a running splash in the corner and takes Bossman down with a side suplex. Michaels works on Bossman in the corner and begins to deliver ten punches in the corner but Bossman drops Michaels chest first across the top rope. Bossman comes off the ropes and drops a leg across Michaels who is hunched over the middle rope. Bossman follows up with a side walk slam and gets a near fall. Michaels is sent into the ropes and manages to plant Bossman with a DDT and both men are down. Bossman manages to tag in Jannetty as Michaels was unable to stop him. Jannetty with several right hands, hip tosses and a couple of dropkicks. Jannetty goes up top but Martel grabs the foot of Jannetty and crotches him on the top. Bossman runs over and begins to brawl with Martel on the floor. Jannetty flips into the ring and walks right into a super kick by Michaels who goes for the cover and picks up the win.
Winners: Shawn Michaels and Rick Martel via pin fall

After the match, Bossman rolls back into the ring to check on Jannetty while telling the referee that Martel and Michaels had cheated. Martel and Michaels head to the backstage area taunting the fans and their opponents.

Bobby Heenan is very happy to see Michaels get some measure of revenge by evening the score with Jannetty, McMahon mentions that Michaels would have never pinned Jannetty had it not been Martel who illegally got involved. Heenan reminds McMahon that last month, Big Bossman cost Michaels against Jannetty and that its only fair. McMahon doesn’t have anything to say after that. McMahon brings up the Ted DiBiase/Animal match which is coming up next. Heenan believes that DiBiase will show the world that one half of Money Inc. is better than one half of Legion of Doom.

Fifth Contest: Animal versus Ted DiBiase

Animal uses his power early on to control the match. Animal with a shoulder block and a power slam for a near fall. Animal sends DiBiase back first into the corner and back drops DiBiase down as DiBiase stumbles out of the corner. Animal clotheslines DiBiase over the top to the floor and DiBiase is not happy with the lack of offense early on. DiBiase gets on the apron and taunts the crowd. Animal attempts a vertical suplex into the ring but DiBiase blocks and drops Animal throat first across the top rope. DiBiase enters the ring and connects with a standing fist drop for a near fall. DiBiase mounts Animal and delivers several right hands. DiBiase sends Animal into the ropes and connects with a high knee lift. DiBiase continues his offense with a swinging neck breaker for another near fall. DiBiase with several boots and knees to the head of Animal. DiBiase goes for the Million Dollar Dream but Animal powers out of the move and connects with a spine buster for a near fall. Animal with a standing dropkick and DiBiase stumbles back into a corner. Animal with several shoulder rams in the corner and places DiBiase on the top turnbuckle. Animal goes for a superplex off the top but IRS runs down to the ring and distracts the referee which gets Animal’s attention as well. IRS slides the briefcase into the ring as Hawk runs down and brawls with IRS. Animal turns around and is nailed with the briefcase. DiBiase tosses the briefcase out of the ring and goes for the cover. DiBiase picks up the win.
Winner: Ted DiBiase via pin fall
After the match, DiBiase rolls to the floor and nails Hawk with the briefcase who was still brawling with IRS. Money Inc. head to the backstage area taunting the fans and signaling that they will be the new WWF World Tag Team Champions at Wrestle Mania VIII.

Bobby Heenan is overly happy to see Animal lose to Ted DiBiase. McMahon is disgusted at just how happy Heenan is to see the underhanded tactics by DiBiase. Heenan tells McMahon that he appreciates guys who will do “whatever it takes to get the job done”. McMahon finds that logic to be horrible. Heenan doesn’t care. McMahon mentions another horrible situation where Papa Shango has control over The Undertaker and has Undertaker under a spell to do whatever he wants him to do. Tonight, the Undertaker will be facing Randy Savage who has been in a heated feud with Jake Roberts who has an alliance with Shango and Undertaker. Randy Savage versus Undertaker is up next!

Sixth Contest: Randy Savage versus The Undertaker w/Papa Shango

Savage with a several right jabs to the face and a few boots to the knee to try to knock Taker down but to no avail. Taker sends Savage into the ropes and nails Savage with a big boot. Taker sends Savage into the ropes and connects with a leaping clothesline. Taker looks at Shango is enjoying the beating while raising the urn. Taker backs Savage into a corner and works on Savage with several throat thrusts. Taker goes to walk the ropes but Savage manages to hit the ropes and Taker is crotched on the ropes. Savage comes off the ropes and dropkicks Taker off the ropes and stumbles to the floor where he lands on his feet. Savage climbs to the top turnbuckle and leaps off connecting with a double axe handle which sends Taker into Shango who is rammed back first into the guard railing. Savage goes after Shango until Taker grabs Savage and sends Savage hard shoulder first into the ring post. Taker enters the ring and takes Savage down with a hammerlock scoop slam. Undertaker continues with a backbreaker and chokes Savage as the referee tries to tell Taker to stop. Taker stalks the referee who bails from the ring. Taker grabs Savage and sends Savage back first into the corner. Taker stalks towards the corner but Savage comes back with a few boots and leaps off the middle rope with a clothesline which staggers Taker. Savage attempts a power slam but Taker clubs Savage across the back. Taker takes Savage down with a side slam. Papa Shango gets on the ring apron with the urn and directs Taker to send Savage into the ropes. Taker grabs Savage but Savage reverses and sends Taker into the ropes and Shango accidentally hits Taker with the urn. Taker drops falls down to the mat. Savage heads to the top turnbuckle but Shango recovers and hits Savage with the urn on the leg which causes the referee to call for the bell.
Winner: Randy Savage via disqualification

After the match, Taker gets up and looks like he is going to go after Shango. However, Shango uses the urn to control Taker and orders Taker to go after Savage. Taker grabs Savage and plants Savage with a tombstone. Jake Roberts is seen backstage smirking at what has just happened.

Vince McMahon thought that the Undertaker was finally going to put up a fight against Papa Shango but the urn continues to control Taker. Heenan believes that if Taker knew what was best for him, he wouldn’t try to ruin it. McMahon strongly believes that Undertaker needs Paul Bearer to overcome the mind control that Papa Shango currently has over Undertaker. Heenan doesn’t believe that Bearer would be able to help. Heenan thinks that Shango will forever have control over Undertaker and thinks that is great. McMahon mentions that main event which is the fatal four way match to determine the number one contender to the WWF World Championship. Heenan thinks this is a waste of time as no one is at the level of current WWF World Champion, Ric Flair. McMahon disagrees and believes that all four men in the main event are all worthy of a title shot and we will soon find out who will get the title shot at Wrestle Mania VIII.

Main Event: Sid Justice versus Jake Roberts versus Roddy Piper versus Hulk Hogan
(#1 Contender WWF World Championship)

All four men will be in the ring at the same time. Sid and Hogan got at it while Roberts and Piper roll around on the mat before going to the floor and brawling. Sid blocks Hogan’s punch and sends Hogan into the corner. Sid begins to work on Hogan with right hands and boots. Sid begins to choke Hogan as well. On the floor, Piper scoop slams Roberts on the concrete floor. Piper tries to send Roberts into the ring steps, but Roberts reverses and sends Piper shoulder first into the steps. Roberts rolls back into the ring and that is where Hogan is working on Sid in the corner. Roberts slithers from behind and chop blocks the knee of Hogan. Sid and Roberts double team Hogan with both men working on the knee of Hogan. Piper eventually comes back into the ring and tackles Sid down and delivers right hands until Roberts grabs Piper and connects with a back suplex. Roberts knocks Piper down with a short arm clothesline and gets a near fall as Sid breaks up the pin attempt. Roberts shoves Sid who comes back with big boot that backs Roberts against the ropes. Sid clotheslines Roberts over the top to the floor. Sid turns around is met with right hands from Hogan. Hogan sends Sid into corner and connects with a running clothesline. Sid comes out of the corner and is met with a dropkick by Piper which causes Sid to stumble back into the corner. Hogan and Piper send Sid into the ropes and take Sid down with a double clothesline. Hogan plays to the crowd and is met with a clothesline from Piper who signals that he wants the title shot. Piper works on Hogan until Roberts clubs Piper across the back. Roberts attempts a short arm clothesline but Piper ducks but walks right into a choke slam from Sid. Roberts is tripped up by the injured Randy Savage who pulls Roberts to the floor and delivers several right hands until several officials run down to break up the brawl. Sid is taunting the crowd when Hogan clothesline Sid to the floor and comes off the ropes connecting with a leg drop on Piper. Hogan goes for the cover but Sid manages to re enter and drops a leg across the neck of Hogan to break up the cover. Sid sends Hogan to the floor and grabs Piper. Sid signals for the power bomb but takes his time. Piper drops down and sneaks in a low blow and leaps onto the back of Sid locking in a sleeper hold which drops Sid down to one knee. Roberts rolls back into the ring and gouges the eyes of Piper and viciously plants Piper with a DDT. Roberts goes for the cover but Hogan pulls Roberts out at the last second to the floor and sends Roberts back first into the guard railing. Hogan rolls back into the ring but is met with several boots from Sid. Sid sends Hogan into the ropes and drops Hogan with a side slam for a near fall. Sid catches Piper who tried leaping off the top turnbuckle but is slammed down. Roberts re-enters the ring and chop blocks the knee of Sid. Roberts works on the knee of Sid until Sid kicks Roberts back into the corner. Hogan is back on his feet and delivers several right hands on Roberts in the corner. Piper comes from behind and rams a knee to the back of Hogan. Piper signals that he is going for the sleeper on Hogan but is met with a big boot by Sid which knocks Piper down. Hogan avoids a DDT by Roberts and backdrops Roberts to the floor. Hogan manages to power slam Sid down and clotheslines Sid over the top to the floor. Hogan turns around and connects with the leg drop on Piper to pick up the win.
Winner: Hulk Hogan via pin fall

After the match, the crowd is going wild while Hogan celebrates the victory as he will be now facing Ric Flair at Wrestle Mania VIII for the WWF World Championship. Vince McMahon and Bobby Heenan hype up the victory before signing off.

End of show

Re: Rewriting the Book

World Wrestling Federation April 1992
- The biggest match in WWF history will be taking place at Wrestle Mania VIII. WWF World Champion and self proclaimed “real world’s champion” Ric Flair will defend his championship against former four time WWF World Champion, Hulk Hogan. Fans have been waiting years for this dream match and on April 5th, 1992 they will get what they have dreamt about. Flair, being a former rival’s top champion, had claimed to be “the man” and having beaten everyone in the rival company, he was. However, now he is in the WWF where he has a new challenger in Hulk Hogan. Hogan has made it known that he doesn’t care what Flair had done in the a lesser company. Hogan told Flair that he is the top competitor in WWF, and that Flair hasn’t proven anything until he has beaten Hogan. Hogan doesn’t believe Flair can over come the millions of Hulkamaniacs at Wrestle Mania VIII. Flair responds by saying that Hogan and all of his fans are living in a delusional world. Flair will make them all realize that he is the man, and that he is the one person that Hulk Hogan simply can not defeat. Flair doesn’t care that Hogan has the fans, because all that matters is that Flair is far better than Hulk Hogan and he will prove it on WWF’s biggest stage, Wrestle Mania.

- Former tag team partners will do battle in WWF’s most gruesome match. Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty have been in a wild feud ever since the new year. Having competed at the Royal Rumble, and fighting to a double count-out their second match took place with lumberjacks surrounding the ring. However, the lumberjacks got involved in the match and didn’t settle anything. Michaels was furious over how the WWF could allow Jannetty to be awarded the match at the last SNME considering the Big Bossman got involved. Michaels wants to get rid of his former friend once and for all but in a match that would determine just who the better man is. Michaels challenges Marty Jannetty to a Steel Cage match at Wrestle Mania VIII. Jannetty quickly accepts and makes it clear that is going to scar the pretty boy face of Shawn Michaels and take away his sexy boy image. Michaels responds by tells Jannetty that Michaels will force Jannetty to become a rejected rock star and not a wrestling superstar.

- In what has to be the most dramatic and brutal rivalry in WWF history, Jake Roberts and Randy Savage will do battle at Wrestle Mania VIII. Jack Tunney has made it clear that these two men do not abide by the rules considering what has transpired between the two men. Savage has been on a mission to get his hands on Roberts for stalking his wife Miss Elizabeth over the past several weeks. Roberts has been trying to plant the seed of poison inside of Elizabeth’s soul. Savage has attacked Roberts several times after Roberts’s wins several squash matches. Roberts usually makes an appearance while Savage wrestles slowly stalking Elizabeth but never touching her. Savage demands Jack Tunney make their match at Wrestle Mania a no disqualification match, and surprisingly Jake Roberts is in favor of that. Roberts wants to show Elizabeth that her man can not stand up for her the way that she deserves. Roberts and Savage will surely be a wild brawl with one career may be coming to an end. Will Roberts be able to win over Elizabeth by destroying Randy Savage or will Savage defend the honor of his wife?

- Bret Hart has a another new challenger for Wrestle Mania, but it is someone he never expected. The Texas Tornado, aka Kerry Von Erich made a innocent challenge to Bret Hart for a title match at Wrestle Mania. The challenge was innocent, at first. Tornado and Hart had a confrontation on the Brother Love segment where Tornado attacked Bret Hart after shaking his hand. Tornado told the world that he is the best who has never gotten a fair chance. Over the course of the several weeks, Tornado reminds everyone that he defeated Mr. Perfect just like Bret Hart has done. Tornado knows that he can defeat Bret Hart and he will walk away with the championship at Wrestle Mania. Bret Hart responds to the claims saying that he always respected Von Erich, until he did the cowardly act of attacking him. Bret Hart has thrown the friendship aside and will do everything he can to make Tornado wish that he never stepped up to be the champion.

- Sid Justice has been able to intimidate everyone since he arrived to the WWF. However, recently Justice has stumbled upon someone who doesn’t step down from anyone. Rowdy Roddy Piper has been on commentary and was heard saying that Justice isn’t that big and bad. Justice heard this and confronted Piper to step in the ring with him. Justice didn’t even wait for a response as he slapped the headset off of Piper and choke slammed Piper on the concrete floor. Justice thought that Piper had smarten up, but a couple of weeks later, Piper came back and attacked Justice during a squash match. Piper challenges Justice to a match at Wrestle Mania VIII. Justice accepts the match and makes the prediction will be staying at home with his family wearing a dress for the rest of his life. Justice is going to make Piper a househusband when he gets done with him. Piper says that he will prove to the world that Justice is not as big and bad as he presents himself and that no one can control the Hot Rod.

- Papa Shango has issued a open challenge for “any poor soul” who would want to try and beat the Undertaker at Wrestle Mania VIII. Hacksaw Jim Duggan steps up to the plate and believes that he has the ability to beat the Undertaker. Duggan knows that Undertaker doesn’t want to be controlled by Papa Shango, and he hopes that he can provide Undertaker the knowledge that he doesn’t need Shango. Duggan is not afraid of the Undertaker and he will beat the Undertaker and help him at the same time. Shango disregards that and says that his creature will bury Duggan with his American flag on April 5th, 1992.

- Money Incorporated have invested some much time and money on winning the WWF World Tag Team Championships from the Legion of Doom, so much that they are running out of options. Money Inc. has paid off several teams to weaken the Legion of Doom before their big match. Legion of Doom have managed to win all of those matches, but they could be weaken down enough to be vulnerable to lose the titles. Legion of Doom have said that no amount of money will be able to take the tag titles away from them. They know that they are the best tag team in the WWF and will continue to prove that when they beat Money Incorporated. DiBiase and IRS have said that they have a surprise for the Legion Doom that guarantees them victory at Wrestle Mania VIII.

- For months the Mountie had zapped several wrestlers, most notably the British Bulldog. Mountie continued to zap people with his taser which included several of the British Bulldog’s allies. Mountie zapped Sgt. Slaughter and Jim Duggan, two guys that had tried to fight Mountie for their friend. Bulldog returned at the last SNME and surprised the Mountie. Jack Tunney announced that the Mountie would have to face the British Bulldog at Wrestle Mania VIII. Mountie at first didn’t like the announcement, but after a few weeks began to embrace the idea of “putting the dog to sleep for good”. Bulldog says that he has been waiting months to get his hands on the Mountie and that he can’t wait to know the feeling of beating the Mountie in the center of the ring. Bulldog even hints at the possibility of zapping the Mountie at Wrestle Mania VIII.

- A big eight man tag team match has been signed for Wrestle Mania VIII. Three different feuds look to be settled in one explosive match. Big Bossman, Natural Disasters and Tatanka will take on the Repo Man, Nasty Boys and Rick Martel. Bossman is fed up with Repo Man stealing various items from wrestlers and is on a mission to have the Repo Man serve hard time. Nasty Boys have been poking fun of the Natural Disasters weight even mocking them during a Disasters match that led to the Disasters losing to the Beverly Brothers by count-out. Lastly, Rick Martel had smelled a disgusting scent and came to the conclusion that it was the feathers that Tatanka wears to the ring. So, Martel sprayed the feathers with his fragrance which according to Tatanka “soiled the feathers”. Tatanka looks to get revenge at Wrestle Mania VIII with his team.

Card for Wrestle Mania VIII

- Tatanka/Big Bossman/Natural Disasters versus Rick Martel/Repo Man/Nasty Boys
- British Bulldog versus The Mountie
- Bret Hart versus Texas Tornado for the WWF Intercontinental Championship
- Legion of Doom versus Money Inc for the WWF World Tag Team Championships
- Marty Jannetty versus Shawn Michaels in a Steel Cage match
- Roddy Piper versus Sid Justice
- Jim Duggan versus The Undertaker
- Randy Savage versus Jake Roberts in a No Disqualification match
- Ric Flair versus Hulk Hogan for the WWF World Championship

World Championship Wrestling April 1992

- With the WWF holding their biggest show of the year, WCW has signed perhaps the biggest rematch is recent history for the April edition of Clash of the Champions. After making Lex Luger submit at the March Clash of the Champions Sting has earned a another shot to take the WCW World Championship from Lex Luger. Luger obviously was not happy about hearing this news as Sting had only beaten him in a tag team match. However, WCW officials would not back down and have made the match. Sting has made it clear that he has only given Luger a taste as to what he is really capable of doing. Sting promises Luger and the fans that once he gets the Scorpion death lock locked in, he will not let go until he feels the bones in Luger’s legs breaking and even then he may not let go. Lex Luger reminds the fans that Sting had made similar threats going into Super Brawl II and couldn’t get the job done. Luger expects the same to happen at the Clash of Champions as he shows the world why he is indeed the “total package”.

- Ron Simmons was viciously attacked before a match against Diamond Dallas Page on a edition of Saturday Night. Simmons was attacked Vinnie Vegas and Diamond Studd which would allow Page to easily pin Simmons and taunt him by pinning him with one foot on his chest. The following week, Simmons would return the favor by attacking Diamond Dallas Page in a hotel parking lot. Page would seek that Simmons be arrested for assault, and Simmons was. DDP thought he was in the clear of having to deal with Ron Simmons, but apparently their wasn’t enough evidence to hold Simmons in jail! Simmons has threatened WCW that if he doesn’t get a fight with DDP, he will take out everyone until he gets it. WCW, wanting to avoid any employees getting hurt, signed the match for the Clash of the Champions. Can DDP beat a healthy and angry Ron Simmons one on one?

- The Dangerous Alliance have been on quite a roll as of late. Holding the WCW United States and WCW World Tag Team Championships they have a lot of power. However, they don’t believe they have any worthy competition. Rick Rude, the WCW United States Champion, and the WCW World Tag Team Champions Larry Zbyszko and Arn Anderson have said that they have beaten all the top wrestlers or tag teams that WCW has to offer. WCW officials don’t see that to be the case. Ricky Steamboat returned from a shoulder injury a couple of months ago and has reminded Rick Rude that he hasn’t defeated him in WCW which is “his company”. Steamboat wants Rick Rude to back up his words and beat one of the greatest ever. Rick Rude disagrees and refuses to put the title up against someone who hasn’t proven anything after a injury. WCW officials agree with Rude. Zbyszko and Anderson have been winning their matches and their attitudes have been getting worse. Fan favorite tag team the Steiner Brothers are back to being a tag team after a brief singles push for both men. They issue a challenge to the champions saying that they haven’t achieved anything until you beat them. Just like Rick Rude, Zbyszko and Anderson decline saying that the Steiner’s haven’t been teaming up lately and thus they will not get a title shot. However, they do not make the matches. WCW officials stepped in and made a big six man tag team match for the Clash of the Champions. If Ricky Steamboat and the Steiner’s win, then they get title shots at Wrestle War. If they lose, then they can not challenge the Dangerous Alliance for the titles for 365 days.

- Cactus Jack was suspended two weeks for hanging Junkyard Dog at the previous months Clash of the Champions. JYD is recovered and is one mad dog. JYD has issued a challenge to Cactus Jack for Clash of the Champions. Knowing that Jack likes pain and punishment and also apparently likes to hang people with dog collars, JYD has challenged Cactus Jack to a dog collar match. Cactus Jack was quick to accept and even said “now I can put the dog to sleep for good… and it will be considered legal”.

- Steve Austin has reminded everyone that he had a rematch clause in his contract when he lost the WCW Television championship to Barry Windham. When asked why he didn’t use it yet, Austin said that he hasn’t used his last surprise opponent for Barry Windham. Austin also noted he will be challenging Windham for his WCW Television championship next month at Wrestle War. However, Barry Windham will need to make it to the event after he gets in the ring with “ a big muscled up freak from Minnesota”. Austin has not announced who the opponent is. Windham has came out and said that he isn’t intimidated and that he will beat anyone Austin puts in front of him and will beat Austin, again.

- Tully Blanchard has been gloating about his victory over Dustin Rhodes at last months Clash of the Champions and proclaiming that Dustin is just like his father Dusty Rhodes, which is a loser. After a match on the Power Hour, Blanchard went over the commentary table and began to insult Dusty Rhodes and even slapped him across the face. Dustin Rhodes stormed over to the area and brawled with Blanchard until they were broken up. Dustin would say that Blanchard got the better of him last month but that is the past. Dustin has also made it clear that you do not mess with his family, especially his father. Dustin wants to another match to fight for the honor of his father. Tully Blanchard doesn’t care, and accepts the match as he will just beat the young kid up one more time. Blanchard repeats that the Rhodes family will always be second best in this company, and that just isn’t good enough.

- Bobby Eaton has beaten both Johnny B. Badd and Marcus Bagwell but those two kids will just not go away. Eaton had paid Vinnie Vegas and Diamond Studd to injure Badd and Bagwell but surprisingly Badd and Bagwell held their own and were able to escape any injury. Eaton, furious that the Vegas Connection failed him, told them that they would face Badd and Bagwell at the Clash of the Champions and get the job done or he’d make sure to his money back, one way or another.

- WCW Lightweight Champion Jushin Liger has beaten all top contenders in WCW. Thus, WCW officials went out looking for suitable competition for their champion. After a trip to Japan they stumbled upon a great wrestler by the name of Too Cold Scorpio who has been very successful in Japan. It was announced that Scorpio would get a big chance in WCW as his first match would be against Jushin Liger, with the belt on the line.

- Fans were going to be treated with a metal concert by Van Hammer on Saturday Night until Terrence “Tailor Made” Taylor came out and stopped the proceedings. Taylor told Hammer that the fans shouldn’t be subjected to listen to over bearing loud music and instead should be listening to nice classical music. Hammer didn’t agree and played his electric guitar right in the ear of Taylor. Taylor would walk away only to return seconds later and attack Hammer with a chop block to the knee. Taylor would plant Hammer with a DDT on his own guitar and proceed to smash the guitar as well. WCW officials have signed a match to take place between Hammer and Taylor to occur at the Clash of the Champions.

**** Forgot to post the March Clash of the Champions..*****

World Championship Wrestling presents Clash of the Champions

Date: March 17th, 1992
From: Asheville, North Carolina
Arena: Asheville Civic Center
Announcers: Jim Ross and Jesse Ventura

WCW Clash of the Champions opening video

Jim Ross and Jesse Venture welcome everyone to the show and hype up what will be on the show. Ross hypes up the big tag team main event where WCW World Heavyweight Champion Lex Luger teams up with Vegas Connection leader Diamond Dallas Page to battle Sting and Ron Simmons. Ventura believes that tonight Sting will finally realize that he isn’t at the same level as Lex Luger. Ross turns his attention to the WCW Television Title match which will see Barry Windham defending against Terry “Tailor Made” Taylor. Ventura strongly believes that Taylor is a perfect champion and deserves to have gold around his waist. Ross also hypes up the WCW World Tag Team Title, WCW Lightweight Title, Rick Rude/Rick Steiner non-title encounter and the Dustin Rhodes/Tully Blanchard feud before sending it over to ring.

Opening Contest: © Dangerous Alliance versus Armstrong Brothers
(WCW World Tag Team Championships)

Brian Armstrong and Larry Zbyszko start off the match trading right hands with Brian gaining the advantage scoop slamming Zbyszko down and dropping a knee coming off the ropes. Brian works on the arm of Zbyszko with a hammerlock for a few moments. Brian continues his offense with a hammerlock scoop slam. Zbyszko stops Brian with a jaw breaker and takes Brian down with a side slam for a near fall. Zbyszko locks in a abdominal stretch and Anderson helps Zbyszko get a unfair advantage. The referee finally sees the advantage and breaks it up allowing Brian to hip toss Zbyszko down and punch Anderson off the apron. Brian scoop slams Zbyszko down and tags in Brad. Brad leaps off the top turnbuckle connecting with a missile dropkick and gets a near fall. Brad with several arm drags and dropkicks Zbyszko over the top to the floor. Zbyszko and Anderson huddle with Paul E. Dangerously on the floor. Brad doesn’t stop his offense as he connects with a slingshot cross body taking all three men out! Brad sends Zbyszko back into the ring and goes to the top again but is crotched on the top turnbuckle by Anderson. Zbyszko recovers and connects with a superplex for a near fall. Zbyszko tags in Anderson who connects with a double axe handle off the middle rope. Anderson follows up with several left hands and backs Brad against the ropes. Anderson with a couple of short arm shoulder blocks before sending Brad across the ring and spiking Brad with a spine buster which only gets a near fall because Brian enters and breaks up the count. Anderson with several knees to the upper back of Brad. Anderson attempts a front slam but Brad blocks and connects with a swinging neck breaker. Brad and Anderson trade several right hands until Arn delivers a knee to the midsection and scoop slams Brad down and drops several knees. Arn sends Brad into the ropes and connects with a tilt a whirl backbreaker for a near fall. Arn works on Brad’s back in the corner with several forearm shots. Arn attempts a back suplex off the top but in midair, Brad reverses and lands on top of Arn for a near fall. Brad comes off the ropes and connects with a shining wizard. Brad manages to tag in Brian who connects with several atomic elbows on both Anderson and Zbyszko. Brian backs Arn into a corner and delivers nine punches but over taunts Arn and is dropped face first across the top turnbuckle. Zbyszko has the referee distracted as Dangerously tosses Arn one of the tag title belts and Arn nails Brian right between the eyes. Brad and Zbyszko brawl on the floor as Arn plants Brian with a DDT and picks up the win.
Winners and STILL WCW World Tag Team Champions: Dangerous Alliance via pin fall
After the match, Dangerously grabs the titles and celebrates with his team as Brad Armstrong looks on from the ring disappointed with the outcome.

Jim Ross puts over the Armstrong’s effort at nearly walking away as the WCW World Tag Team Champions. Jesse Ventura makes it clear that he never doubted the Dangerous Alliance.

Second Contest: Junkyard Dog versus Cactus Jack
