Full Throttle 2.0

<hr>
In 2007, a flourishing independent wrestling promotion called Full Throttle Wrestling began with its first show in Chicago, Illinois with a stacked card headlined by Tyler Black and Colt Cabana. At the beginning, FTW was a promotion that mostly collaborated with promotions in their respective market, usually running a show only once a month. At the end of 2007, FTW began to expand and make its name well-known in the wrestling world when Bryan Danielson and NOAH-import Naomichi Marufuji wrestled a Dave Meltzer-rated five star match. On the same card, Tyler Black became the first ever FTW Heavyweight Champion. It went from a small-time promotion relying on DVDs to a prominent name on the Independent Circuit, especially with more and more relevant stars appearing on their cards.

In 2008, FTW continued its growth by partnering with the Ring of Honor promotion and its affiliates, with stars such as Bryan Danielson becoming regulars for the company instead of making one-time appearances. In March 2008, FTW made its next step towards becoming a successful promotion when it opened a wrestling school in the Chicago area, led by Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero. FTW began to crank out potential superstars and formed a tag division, with the French duo of Remi Levesque and Nicolas Evra becoming their first Tag Team Champions. Around the same time, FTW signed a TV deal with G4 on their late night line-up, gaining a wider audience, taping their shows out of the Congress Theater. Over the years, their average attendance grew from 300 to 500, then to 700, and then to over a thousand. At its peak (the end of 2009), FTW sold out the Hammerstein with a card where Nigel McGuinness (then, both the ROH and FTW World Champion) against New Japan standout Hiroshi Tanahashi, which was yet another five star match from The Wrestling Observer. Even with the downturn of the economy more fans were turning out to see the great action of Full Throttle Wrestling, while Ring of Honor began its decline.

The wrestling takeover of Full Throttle Wrestling continued through 2010 with more classic matches and title reigns, with its loyal fanbase growing every day. There was even some speculation that it could surpass TNA in popularity if TNA didn't get its act together. However, with popularity riding high, FTW nearly lost its fanbase when it announced it had struck a deal with World Wrestling Entertainment to come on as a fourth brand. The world's largest wrestling promotion was now providing a wrestling show every day of the week, with replays of RAW now on Saturday with bonus and unseen material. However, this was not necessarily good news for the loyal fanbase of Full Throttle Wrestling, who believed its product would decline with its new WWE affiliation. More over, the brand was being owned and operated by Stephanie McMahon Helmsley, someone that a wide part of the wrestling community didn't trust due to her marriage to Triple H. The last show before FTW went to the big show was seen as bittersweet. While it had more great matches and the final culmination of historic feuds, the fans knew that the move was imminent and nothing would be the same again. They wondered whether or not their favorite stars would still be apart of FTW, and Stephanie McMahon's appearance and promo on the show wasn't exactly reassuring to the loyal fans.

It seems no one in the Industry is certain of Stephanie McMahon's intentions, despite her saying in statement after statement and news piece after news piece that her vision of FTW (debuting Wednesday at 8 PM (EST) on USA Network this September) will remain faithful to the original product. A roster was released a few days after news of the deal appeared on WWE.com, with names such as Nigel McGuinness, Tyler Black, and several other FTW originals missing.
"It seems that a good deal of FTW competitors have decided to stay behind and seek work elsewhere, probably with Ring of Honor or Chikara Pro. The wide-felt feeling around the Industry is that this project isn't going to last long and that job security couldn't possibly be any lower anywhere in the WWE."
-PWInsider
There's no telling what lies in store for FTW. The line between success and failure is a very thin one, but Stephanie McMahon marches on, confident that her new brand will be a success.

FTW on TV - Madison Square Garden - New York, NY
-The first ever Full Throttle Wrestling TV show will be headlined by a huge Main Event just signed by Majority Owner, Stephanie McMahon Helmsley. Rising star, Kenny Omega will meet former FTW Heavyweight Champion, the American Dragon Bryan Danielson! Three weeks ago, Danielson was competing for the Heavyweight Championship, but with the move to World Wrestling Entertainment, it's a level playing field and anyone is gunning to make a name for themselves on the first show. This is Kenny Omega's chance to do just that.

-Dan Iver and Mullen Reynolds make their debut! These two were graduates of the FTW Wrestling School and have been climbing the ranks ever since, even having a series of matches between the two in what some could say a friendly rivalry. However, instead of seeing them clash, we will see them team up to take on the WWE Unified Tag Team Champions, David Hart Smith and Tyson Kidd of the Hart Dynasty.

-Plus much more, including an exclusive interview with Stephanie McMahon Helmsley that you won't see anywhere else! We'll pull no punches when we question her about her purchase of Full Throttle Wrestling and what her vision of the company truly is. Also: Who will represent FTW at Summerslam?

Re: Full Throttle 2.0

Now this, looks awesome! Loving the roster, who you have as champions, and the main event for the first TV show is going to be great! Hopefully you actually do this one long term and not stop after a month or so of doing it. This out of all of them, looks to be your best one so far I think regarding the roster, and whatnot. Great work so far! Looking forward to more of this! Hope you treat Quackenbush good!

Re: Full Throttle 2.0

Thanks man, I have a lot of good ideas for this one and I think you guys should like it (I promise to get back to you and Destroyer, it's just hard for me to get motivated to read diaries/BTBs when I don't have an active one of my own up, hope you understand. That, and I have a ton to read xD).

If anyone is added to the roster it will probably just be to fill it out. I'm looking to add another diva or two though, just have to figure out what I'd do with them.

#1 - Madison Square Garden - New York, NY
<hr>
The first ever episode of Full Throttle Wrestling on TV kicked off with a bang, equipped with bright fireworks and loud music. After the intro video package performed by the Tokyo Dragons and the fireworks display, we panned around the arena where fans were screaming their heads off. FTW had its own original set with the WWE-style ring receiving a make over to resemble the original FTW black canvas. Even though the newcomers greatly outweighed the longtime fans of FTW, no one could question the air of excitement floating through the arena. Or maybe that was just the smoke from all the fireworks. Either way, after a few more shots of the fans the cameras directed their attention to the titantron where the image of Stephanie McMahon Helmsley appeared a few moments later. The crowd popped, putting a smile on Steph's face as she waited for them to quiet down.

Stephanie McMahon: Hello and welcome to the most exciting hour of professional wrestling on television: Full Throttle Wrestling! We're here to put the 'Wrestling' back into World Wrestling Entertainment! RAW, Smackdown, and ECW are trying to write us off before we can even get a chance to begin, so I'm going to cut the chit-chatter and save it for my interview later tonight. Right now I'm going to let the action speak for itself. Enjoy the show!

Stephanie disappeared and slowly the crowd's cheers died down, bringing on a moment of silence that was quickly cut by a harsh static noise. A few seconds later, Dan Iver and Mullen Reynolds appeared on the titantron as the intro to Iron Maiden's Aces High played in the background. They spoke with confident grins on their faces as fast and exciting clips of them were shown.

Mullen Reynolds: Energy.

Dan Iver: Passion.

Mullen Reynolds: Non-stop.

Dan Iver: Frenzy!

Iver and Mullen (simultaneously): 24/7!

Dan Iver: We are...

Mullen Reynolds: We are...

Iver and Mullen (simultaneously): THE GIG CRASHERS!

There was an explosion on the entrance stage as the tempo of the music picked up. Mullen and Iver then jumped out from behind the curtain to cheers from the crowd. They headbanged, played the air guitar, and clapped hands with the fans. As their entrance continued, we panned around the ring where Joey Styles and noneotherthan the FTW Heavyweight Champ himself were standing by.

Joey Styles: Thank you for joining us, folks, we have a great show in store for you headlined by a huge main event where Bry---

Chris Hero: Oh, shut your mouth Styles! I've only just met you and only three minutes in I'm realizing why all of your fellow commentators can't stand you! Before you confess your undying love for Kenny Omega and Bryan Danielson, I think a traditional introduction to the Heavyweight Champ is in order!

Grumbling slightly, Joey took his seat and introduced Chris Hero, then explained that every week he would have a guest commentator throughout the show.

Chris Hero: In other words, I get the day off.

Joey Styles: With the competition you have here on FTW, Chris Hero, I think you should be grateful for any "day off" you can get. But as I was saying, our show is headlined by Kenny Omega and Bryan Danielson who will wrestle for Full Throttle Wrestling dominance!

Chris Hero: Yes, yes, yes, that's true. But we all know there's only one dominant man here in FTW, and his name is Chris Hero.

The Gig Crashers got into the ring and posed in opposite corners before flipping back into the center of the ring and clapping hands, before finishing it off with an air guitar of epic proportions.

Joey Styles: So what are your thoughts on Dan Iver and Mullen Reynolds---the Gig Crashers, Hero?

Chris Hero: They seem cool. They're more 'Spinal Tap' than 'Iron Maiden', though.

Iron Maiden was shut off (to Iver and Mullen's disappointment) and was replaced by the notorious Bret Hart opening guitar riff. A moment later the Hart Dynasty's music began and from the back came David Hart Smith, Tyson Kidd, and Natalya Neidhart. Nattie carried two of the Unified Tag Team Championships' four titles, both of them draped over either shoulder while Smith and Kidd each carried the other two around their waists. They lifted Natalya up onto the apron then hopped up on it themselves, where they took their respective title away from Natalya and posed on the outter-part of the turnbuckles while the Gig Crashers looked on longingly.

Chris Hero: I expect the Hart Dynasty to make short work of these Dumpster Divers or whatever they're called. These three are the offspring of some of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time!

Joey Styles: Well, erm, Tyson Kidd isn't a Hart.

Chris Hero: He may as well be, though. He spent half his childhood around that freaky-looking Hart house. He's practically family! Which, I suppose makes his relationship with Natalya a bit odd, but hey, she's quite the looker so I can't blame him!

Joey Styles: As if first day's on the job aren't bad enough, I have to listen to you shouting in my ear. We can have five seconds of dead-air, you know!

Chris Hero: You should be grateful that I'm gracing this commentary table with some much-needed insight! And so help me God if you start doing that "OH MY GOD" crap I will K.O. you with my elbow.

The Hart Dynasty climbed into the ring and handed off their titles and entrance gear and waited for the match to begin.

Non-Title
David Hart Smith and Tyson Kidd vs Dan Iver and Mullen Reynolds

<hr>
This was the perfect match to kick off the debut show of FTW. The Gig Crashers provided a frantic pace while the Hart Dynasty did what they do best, with Tyson Kidd wearing them down with kicks and submissions while David Hart Smith threw them around like rag dolls. Iver and Mullen were a good head shorter than either Kidd or Smith, but they wouldn't let that get to them when they tried to use their speed to gain the advantage over the Unified Tag Champs. The match began with a test of strength that Smith won three times (not a smart move to try to test the strength of the son of the British Bulldog). Dan Iver lured Smith into a different test of strength, only to stamp on his hand when it was on the mat. Iver then started tagging Smith with shots then rolling away before Smith could get his hands on him. Eventually Smith just acted on instinct and nearly decapitated Iver with a Lariat. From there on, The Hart Dynasty exchanged quick tags as they worked down Dan Iver.

If the breath hadn't been knocked out of Iver's lungs from three consecutive kicks to the chest from Tyson Kidd, then it certainly was when David Hart Smith hoisted him up for a delayed Suplex. The crowd counted along and when they got to thirty, Smith slammed him down. Tyson jumped in and shot across the ring, pegging Mullen Reynolds with a kick that threw him from the apron while Smith covered, a grin across his face. Iver was motionless and unable to raise his shoulders, but instead of being pinned, instinct must have took over for him too as he draped his foot across the bottom rope. Natalya shouted at Smith to remember ring positioning and to put him away, but Smith couldn't help but smile knowing that this match was nearly over. He dragged his thumb across his neck and hoisted Iver up for another Suplex, as the crowd counted along yet again.

25... 26... 27... 28... 29... WHAM!

Before he could get to another 30-second stalling Suplex, Mullen soared through the air and connected with a Springboard Missile Dropkick that sent David Hart Smith tumbling to the outside! Mullen gave Tyson Kidd a receipt for the shot earlier, knocking him off the apron. Mullen then hit the ropes and nailed a gorgeous Suicida onto David Hart Smith! The crowd cheered as Mullen got to his feet and punched the air. In the ring, Iver was crawling to the wrong side of the ring, the unceremonious drop on his head clearly affecting his ability to think. Mullen got onto the apron and cheered his partner on, and eventually Iver was able to change course and tag out. Smith was only just getting back on the apron, but Mullen was going to waist the momentum he had built by attempting to Suplex a much larger man back into the ring. He couldn't, of course, but Tyson Kidd's frustration would save him when Tyson came darting across the ring to give Mullen a receipt of his own. But instead of kicking Mullen, he kicked his own partner! Mullen nailed an Enzuigiri on Tyson that sent him tumbling to the outside, and was then able to Suplex Smith into the ring! He covered, but Smith kicked out emphatically at one.

Mullen waited for Smith to get to his knees, and when he did, he nearly took his head off with a Buzzsaw Kick! Mullen climbed to the top rope and hit a back senton, while across the ring, Dan Iver was slowly picking his way up the turnbuckles. When he finally made it to the top, he connected with a gorgeous Diving Headbutt. Mullen covered and nearly scored the upset for the Gig Crashers but Tyson Kidd spoiled their moment with the save. Mullen dumped Kidd back to the outside, while Iver climbed back to the top rope and jumped off, crashing down on Kidd while Natalya ducked and covered. In the ring, Mullen signaled for the finish by attempting to lift David Hart Smith, but yet again he couldn't manage it. Instead, Mullen backed away and charged desperately at him, which was a bad idea when Smith flipped him inside out with a Lariat. Smith lifted Mullen up onto his shoulder and nailed a Running Powerslam for the 1, 2, 3 victory.

Winners via pinfall: David Hart Smith and Tyson Kidd - The Hart Dynasty
The crowd booed Smith who exited the ring, holding his head in pain from the bruise starting to form on his temple, probably from the Dan Iver Diving Headbutt. He shoved Iver off of Kidd and helped him to his feet, then began the Hart Dynasty celebration up the rampway.

Chris Hero: Huge win for the Hart Dynasty!

Joey Styles: Yeah, but the Gig Crashers looked impressive in defeat!

Chris Hero: You truly know nothing about professional wrestling, do you Joey Styles? The Gig Crashers were walking a fine line between success and failure. They made too many mistakes and had zero strategy. You cannot come in unprepared to face David Hart Smith and Tyson Kidd. That is why they are the Unified Tag Team Champions!

We headed backstage where Stephanie McMahon was in her office getting her hair and nails done. While the stylists worked her hair into intricate weaves and curls which were polished to a high sheen, she went over her interview with Todd Grisham who was taking notes on the leather couch.

Stephanie McMahon: ...and not a word about my husband, Grisham.

Grisham looked up, disappointed. It was a good chance that half of his interview was about her marriage.

Todd Grisham: Erm, why, Mrs. McMahon?

Stephanie McMahon: Because he doesn't like talking about our relationship.

Todd Grisham: If I had a wife so beautiful, I would talk about her endlessly.

Steph snorted and rolled her eyes.

Stephanie McMahon: Don't flatter yourself, Grisham. This is supposed to be about FTW, not my marriage. Keep to the subject at hand and we won't have any problems.

Todd Grisham: Yes, M'am.

There was a knock at the door that made Steph raise an eyebrow and sigh.

Stephanie McMahon: I can't get two minutes to myself these days. Now I remember why I hated being General Manager so much. Oh well. COME IN!

The door opened and in came Mike Quackenbush, wearing a CHIKARA track jacket, a pair of slacks, and a kind smile. Steph looked up at him with a not-so-kind smile.

Stephanie McMahon: Who are you and what do you want?

Mike Quackenbush: Mrs. McMahon, it's an honor to finally meet you. I was just---forgive me... baffled---why my name isn't on tonight's card.

Stephanie McMahon: What, you mean you're a wrestler?

Mike Quackenbush: Well, yeah. I'm Mike Quackenbush.

Steph raised another eyebrow.

Stephanie McMahon: You're Mike Quackenbush? You're the former FTW Openweight Champion? You're the Mike Quackenbush that was in the Triple Threat Main Event three weeks ago?

Mike Quackenbush: Well, yeah, unless I have a doppelganger running around that I'm not aware of. I doubt that though. So yes, I am Mike Quackenbush.

Steph leaned forward and slapped her knee, bursting out laughing which panicked the stylists who were ironing her hair. Quack cleared his throat, it becoming clearly difficult for him to retain his calm and kind demeanor.

Stephanie McMahon: Well, you're not exactly...

And Steph continued to laugh.

Mike Quackenbush: Are you trying to say I'm old, Mrs. McMahon?

Stephanie McMahon: That, and you're so... average-looking...

This time it was Quack raising an eyebrow.

Mike Quackenbush: Average-looking?

Stephanie McMahon: Yeah... um... what's the word I'm looking for? Oh, yeah: Generic.

Quack's jaw dropped. In all his years of exciting crowds around the world, that was one word he had never heard around him. He'd lost his ability to remain calm and kind, and instead it came out blurted and at a high-pitch.

Mike Quackenbush: Generic?

Steph stopped laughing and looked up at Quack with fake sincerity.

Stephanie McMahon: I'm sorry, Mr. Crackenbush---

Mike Quackenbush: QUACKENBUSH!

Stephanie McMahon: Yes, that... I'm sorry but I just don't need any Tommy Dreamer's on my roster. Sorry for the inconvenience... Expect your check sometime next week.

Quack was becoming red in the face. Todd Grisham had scooted away from Stephanie and Quack on the couch while the stylists paused with their ironing to watch the drama unfold.

Mike Quackenbush: Listen, here, Mrs. McMahon! I am one of the most talented wrestlers in North America! Heck, you just got done saying you want to put "Wrestling" back into World Wrestling Entertainment!

Stephanie McMahon: Yeah, yeah, but not at the cost of business.

Mike Quackenbush: What do you mean?

Another grin had appeared on Steph's face.

Stephanie McMahon: Well it's just that, I don't imagine "Mike Crackenbush" t-shirts to start flying off the shelf. We want to provide good wrestling, but not at the cost of business.

Mike Quackenbush: Good wrestling is good business!

Steph sighed and told her stylists to stop. She stood up out of her chair and looked at Quack, fire in her stern eyes.

Stephanie McMahon: Do you really want to lecture a McMahon about good business?

Mike Quackenbush: No, Mrs. McMahon, I don't want anything to do with business. I want to wrestle.

Steph lowered her eyes and thought about it for a moment.

Stephanie McMahon: You really wanna wrestle, huh?

Quack nodded.

Stephanie McMahon: I suppose I owe you that much for all of your work for FTW. But you're going to have to work your way from the bottom up. Next week, you'll have your first match.

Steph's tone made it clear that Quack was dismissed, but he remained where he was for a moment. Three weeks ago he was Main Eventing a sold-out show in Chicago, and now he had to work his way from the bottom up. Quack bit his lip, nodded, and left as Steph sat back down in her chair.

Stephanie McMahon: What a quack...

When we returned from commercial, Colin Delaney was making his way down to the ring, earning a huge ovation from the crowd which seemed to surprise even him. He was so shell-shocked by the response he was getting from the crowd he tripped getting into the ring and fell flat on his face, but this made the crowd only give him even more love.

Then the lights fell, replaced by a harsh red light gleaming from the entrance stage. Walls of Jericho's The Haunted began to play, and a moment later, Jimmy Jacobs and Daffney appeared. Jimmy stormed down the aisle, Daffney in pursuit while Colin was in the ring gulping and a look of fear in his eyes. Jimmy slid into the ring and pulled himself to his feet, where Daffney slid in after him between his spread legs and sat up on her knees, looking up at him. Jimmy leaned in close to her face with his eyes closed, but they didn't kiss. Instead Daffney slid back out and Jimmy threw off his jacket, charged at Colin Delaney and began the match.

Colin Delaney vs Jimmy Jacobs
<hr>
Jimmy clubbed Colin across the back as the arena lights returned and the crowd booed. Jimmy pounded Colin down to his knees where he stomped a mudhole in him. Jimmy then kicked Colin in the gut, turning Colin over flat on his back. Jimmy stepped on Colin and began stomping on him with his entire weight, four stomps which was punctuated by an elbow drop to Colin's sternum. Jimmy went for the cover, but Colin managed to kick out. Jimmy yanked Colin back to his feet and sent him flying into the corner. Jimmy charged after him, but Colin stopped the momentum and met Jimmy with a back elbow. Colin jumped onto the middle rope and sprang back for a Cross Body, but Jimmy simply stepped aside and put his knee out, where Colin landed sternum-first across Jimmy's knee.

Jimmy yanked Colin back to his feet and dumped him to the outside, where he threw him into the furniture outside. After spearing him into the ringstairs, he brought him back into the ring for a cover, but Colin managed to kick out again. Jimmy locked in a tight headlock on Colin, restricting his airways yet again. Colin was having heaving breaths and was struggling in Jimmy's binds, but the crowd's cheering motivated him to fight on. Colin powered to his feet and elbowed his way out, then hit three arm drags followed by a beautiful drop kick! He covered, but Jimmy kicked out at one. Colin went to the top rope for a High Cross Body, but when he came soaring off, Jimmy caught him with a spear that folded him in half! Jimmy backed up as Colin staggered to his feet holding his mid-section, coughing and retching. Jimmy charged and caught him in the Guillotine END TIME Choke. Colin tapped in a matter of seconds, ending the match but not his pain as Jimmy would not release the hold.

Winner via submission: Jimmy Jacobs
The crowd booed as Jimmy wouldn't release the hold. The referee yelled at him to break it as Daffney slid into the ring, licking her lips as Colin slid into unconsciousness. Then out from the back came Dragon Kid, who slid in and cleared the ring of Jimmy Jacobs and Daffney. Dragon checked on Colin who clearly needed medical attention. He told the ref that he needed help as he began to shout at Jimmy Jacobs in Japanese. Jimmy yelled back: "You cannot stop me! No one can stop me now!" A smile appeared on Daffney's face as Jimmy and Dragon continued their incoherent arguing while paramedics slid into the ring to assist Colin Delaney.

We headed backstage where we found Larry Sweeney alongside Traci Evans. Traci was watching the television monitor with a hand over her mouth and concern in her eyes.

Traci Evans: Wow, he completely dominated Colin.

Larry Sweeney: Yeah, yeah, yeah, poor Dylan, poor Dylan. Listen, sweetheart, I'm Sweet and Sour Larry Sweeney. I got 'lots to do and I won't make this offer again. Let's take you plus me, subtract those clothes, divide those legs, and muuuuultiply!

Traci gaped at Sweeney and left in a huff, leaving Larry Sweeney who yelled after her. Maria Kanellis then walked past and Sweeney (literally) jumped at the opportunity and chased after her.

Larry Sweeney: Hey, Maria! Let's take you plus me---

Maria Kanellis: Oh, hi, Larry. Do you know where Davey Richards' locker room is?

Larry stopped in his tracks, disappointed.

Larry Sweeney: It's at the end of the hallway, on the left.

Maria nodded her thanks and left, leaving Larry with an angry scowl on his face.

Returning from commercial, we found Davey Richards coming out of his locker room. A squeaky voice from behind made him stop and turn, and he found Maria looking at him longingly.

Maria Kanellis: H-h-h-h-hi, D-D-Davey...

Davey raised an eyebrow, nodded, and walked away.

Maria Kanellis: Where are you going?

Davey Richards: I'd like to get a front row seat for tonight's main event.

And he left with Maria watching after him, completely red in the face. We then saw a video package highlighting Kenny Omega and Bryan Danielson's history in FTW. They talked strategy in this upcoming match and gave their thoughts on their opponent. After the video we headed back to Stephanie's office where it had been transformed into a professional set-up, the camera pointing on Stephanie at all times.

Todd Grisham: Mrs. McMahon, thank you for sitting down with me today. I think what people really want to know right off the bat is why. Why did you buy an Independent wrestling promotion?

Stephanie McMahon: I saw it as a great business opportunity, with the bonus of adding to World Wrestling Entertainment's ever-growing empire.

Todd Grisham: Surely it would have made more sense---business-wise---to start from the ground up, with wrestlers the fans were more familiar with?

Stephanie McMahon: Mr. Grisham, you just saw first-hand that I don't particularly like it when people question my business ideals. Would doing what you said been safer? Yes. Would it have been better business-wise? I don't think so. Sometimes you have to take risks, Mr. Grisham, if you wish to achieve in life.

Todd Grisham: Would you consider it risky to buy an Independent wrestling promotion from under your father's nose?

Steph raised an eyebrow and waited for a moment.

Stephanie McMahon: What are you implying, Mr. Grisham?

Todd Grisham: Nothing at all. But it is widely believed around the industry that your father was not aware of your purchase of Full Throttle Wrestling. If that's true, I'd like to know why you didn't get your father's permission.

Steph smiled and laughed quietly.

Stephanie McMahon: I'm a big girl, Mr. Grisham. Moreover, I play a major role in World Wrestling Entertainment. I don't need my father's permission on everything, especially when a business opportunity such as this existed that could benefit the both of us. You look confused---why? Look, I know not everyone can fathom that my father won't be around forever---him least of all. But he won't. One day someone needs to take over from him, and that person is going to be me. Not only is FTW a business opportunity, but it's also---how should I put this? A training course.

Todd Grisham: How do you think members of the FTW roster would feel about that?

Stephanie McMahon: Considering the checks we just sent out their mailboxes they shouldn't feel anything but the utmost gratefulness. Don't take my meaning wrong, Grisham. Full Throttle Wrestling is extremely important to me. Not only is this a chance to give back to the fans for the lacking programming from WWE's other brands, this is also a chance to prove to my father that he doesn't need to worry when it's finally time for him to step aside.

Steph flashed a wicked grin and Grisham paused for a moment.

Todd Grisham: There is fear---especially among long-time fans of Full Throttle Wrestling---that the company will not be the same. That business will take precedent instead of wrestling.

Stephanie McMahon: And those people are idiots, Mr. Grisham. If you think for a split-second that the original FTW didn't value the number of asses in those seats than the number of Five Star Matches they were getting from some guy with a website then you'd be an absolute fool. As for their fear, they have nothing to worry about. I think we've proven right off the bat that I have no intention of messing with a good formula. And if there are any doubters left, then tonight's Main Event between Bryan Danielson and Kenny Omega will completely eliminate their fears.

Todd Grisham: Do you think you could be a threat to the other three brands?

Steph smiled.

Stephanie McMahon: After tonight, Todd, we will be. Those fans out there came to this Supershow because of Smackdown. After tonight, they will come to these shows because of F---T---W.

Todd Grisham: Is there anything you'd like to add?

Stephanie McMahon: Merely a word of advice to the landscape of Full Throttle Wrestling. Don't cross the Billionaire Princess. This is a bitch's world and I'm top bitch.

Todd Grisham: Thank you for your time, Mrs. McMahon.

We headed to the last commercial, and when we returned we were in store for Bryan Danielson versus Kenny Omega uninterrupted. Omega's theme hit, a hysteric techno beat. Omega appeared on the entrance stage, his hands outstretched in the Kamehamea pose. He punched the air and clapped hands with the fans before leaping over the top rope into the ring. MSG's lights then lowered as Europe's Final Countdown began. Even the newcomers to FTW sang along. A couple moments later, the curtain was thrown aside and the American Dragon Bryan Danielson appeared. He too earned cheers from the crowd as he made his way down the aisle and mimicked Omega by springing himself over the top rope. He tossed off his robe and waited for the bell to ring, but instead the lights lowered once more as a wofl howled loudly through Madison Square Garden. A moment later WASP's Charisma began and Davey Richards made his way down to the ring, a much quieter response from the crowd as he joined Chris Hero and Joey Styles at the commentary booth. He shook Hero's hand with a nice shake and blew off Styles, then put the head phones on and waited for the bell.

Main Event
Bryan Danielson vs Kenny Omega

<hr>
Awesome match.

The two began trying to test out the waters, very cautious and methodical in their execution. They tested strength, quickness, and counter-ability. It was just about even until Omega wrenched away at Danielson's arm, which Dragon rolled out of and kicked away at Omega's own arm. The crowd clapped as the two locked up, with Danielson managing to gain the upperhand and back Omega against the ropes. Danielson let Omega go scott free with a clean break. Now Omega backed Danielson up against the ropes, but he wasn't going to be so kind. Danielson managed to avoid the chop, but when he backed away he clearly wasn't happy. He shrugged it off and they locked up again, Danielson gaining the upperhand against the ropes. Omega cringed when Danielson went to slap him, but instead Danielson faked him, yanked him down onto the mat on his stomach, and went for Cattle Mutilation! Omega was able to escape quickly out of the ring, but a wide smile was on Danielson's face.

Chris Hero: I may not like the no good son of a... But Bryan Danielson is perhaps the greatest technical wrestler in the entire world.

Joey Styles: He can get in his submissions from anywhere.

Davey Richards: Omega needs to be careful he doesn't get caught or Dragon will make him pay.

Danielson let Omega back in and they locked up, Omega gaining control this time against the corner. Omega wouldn't let Danielson get away this time and hit him with two consecutive chops. Omega whipped Danielson into the corner and came charging afterward, but in shades of Delaney/Jacobs, Danielson met him with an elbow. However, unlike Delaney/Jacobs, Danielson connected with his Cross Body. Omega kicked out before the ref could even get down on the mat and was back on his feet, but Dragon grounded him with an arm drag. The crowd cheered as Danielson grounded him and wrenched away at Omega's arm.

Joey Styles: Omega relies greatly on that arm. Without it, he may not be able to lift Bryan Danielson up on his shoulders to hit his finishing move: Croyt's Wrath.

Every time Omega nearly got to his feet, Danielson just yanked him back down. After a third attempt, Omega kipped straight up to his feet, whipping Danielson off of him with an arm drag of his own. Danielson was backed into the corner and Omega was charging. Danielson moved out of the way in the nick of time and Omega earned a kick to the back for his troubles. Omega rolled back out of the ring to recuperate and as he walked around, his eyes fell on Davey Richards. He eyed Davey with a mixed expression as Davey looked back with a blank one.

Chris Hero: You idiot, keep your eye on your opponent!

Hero was right to say this. When Omega turned around, he was met with a baseball slide that sent him crashing over the announce table and into the laps of Joey Styles, Chris Hero, and Davey Richards. Danielson stood up on the announce table and yelled out "BEST IN THE WORLD" as Richards and Hero looked up, annoyed. Danielson picked Omega out of the cluttered, rolled him into the ring, and went for the cover, but only earned two. Dragon continued to wear down Kenny Omega, this time working on the arm, shoulder, and neck with a Stretch Plum, perhaps eliminating the Croyt's Wrath from Omega's arsenal. Omega earned a rope break and Danielson booted him in the back hard with a kick, more insult than injury. Danielson yelled at Omega to focus as chants of "Dragon" went up.

They locked up, but Omega kneed Dragon in the ribs. Omega then hit uppercuts and knee lifts, until he backed Danielson against the ropes and nailed him with a chop. He then Irish Whipped Danielson, but held onto the hand and met him with a knee lift right as Danielson was rebounding off the ropes. He did this three more times before snapmaring him over and down and nailing a three kicks right in his lower back. Omega covered, but Danielson kicked out. Omega then locked in a grounded bear hug from the back, now deciding to work on the ribs.

Davey Richards: Good idea by the youngster---I'm impressed. Just needs to focus.

Joey Styles: Danielson has a slow and methodical style. He relies on those ribs to get him through his match and execute his submissions. If Omega injures them, then Danielson may be in trouble.

Omega continued to work on the ribs, nailing Gut Busters and Back Breakers when Danielson finally managed to break free from the submission. When Danielson escaped from another submission, he dumped Omega out onto the apron. Danielson had no time to catch his breath over, as Omega was up and over and German Suplexing him. Danielson went head over heels as the world span underneath him. Omega released him at the peak and Danielson landed ribs and chest first. Omega came charging with a kick that sent Danielson to the outside. When Danielson staggered to his feet, Omega jumped over the top rope and landed on the middle turnbuckle run before flipping back into a Moonsault on American Dragon. The crowd cheered and Omega took a moment to celebrate, but not too long. He brought Dragon into the ring and earned a two count. He continued to work over Dragon's ribs with a grounded abdominal stretch. The crowd urged Danielson on and he escaped, breaking free and whipping Omega off of him. He charged at him for a strike, but Omega put his hand up, stopping Danielson in his tracks out of surprise. He kicked Dragon, but Danielson caught the leg. However, Omega nailed him with his other leg and earned a two count.

Omega continued to hit big move after big move while Danielson tried to work his way back into the match. However, when Omega tried to stop Danielson again by outstretching his hand, Danielson grabbed the arm and locked in a Jujigatame Armbar, yanking him down to the ground in the process! Omega managed to get his feet on the ropes, but Danielson was in control now. He lifted Omega up and hit a gorgeous Dragon Suplex, for another two count. He waited for Omega to get up and met him with a flying Leg Lariat that sent Omega spinning inside out. Danielson climbed to the top rope and went for the Diving Headbutt, but there was no water in the swimming pool as Omega moved out of the way. Omega was at the top rope now and he nailed a gorgeous 450 Splash. The crowd counted along, the match over for sure---BUT NO! Danielson kicked out just in time! Omega signaled for the finish and heaved Danielson up onto his shoulders, but his shoulder sagged and he couldn't support Danielson's weight! Danielson slipped behind and nailed a German Suplex for another two count. Before Omega could get his bearings, Danielson pounced on him and began the elbows to the chest-area, knocking the air from Omega's lungs.

Omega managed to get to the ropes and put a stop to the elbows, which were considered a submission in FTW. Danielson told the crowd that it was over and grabbed Omega for the Regal Plex, but Omega elbowed his way out and hit the Kotaro Crusher legdrop bull dog! He jumped over Bryan Danielson with absolute ease! Danielson managed to kick out again, but now Omega was telling the crowd this match was over. He hoisted Dragon up onto his shoulders, dropped him slightly, and nailed a German Suplex for Croyt's Wrath!

1... 2... ROPE BREAK!

Omega couldn't believe it!

Davey Richards: No way!

Joey Styles: Bryan Danielson managed to get his leg on the bottom rope just in time! Unbelievable!

Chris Hero: Davey, would you like to sit back down?

Davey Richards: Oh, err, sorry.

Omega had made the same mistake David Hart Smith had earlier in the show. Ring positioning is crucial in professional wrestling, but like Smith, Omega smelled blood in the water. He lifted Dragon up for Croyt's Wrath again, but Danielson slipped behind and nailed a Tiger Suplex!

1... 2... KICKOUT!

Even though Omega managed to get a shoulder off the canvas, Danielson had a tight lock around Omega's arms and rolled him over onto his belly for Cattle Mutilation! Omega screamed out as the crowd cheered. Omega edged his way over to the ropes, but before he could get there, Danielson yanked him back away into the center of the ring! Omega looks around desperately but he doesn't have a choice. He taps!

Winner via submission: "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson!
The crowd went bonkers as Danielson let go of the hold and collapsed in a heap next to Omega. Davey Richards slid into the ring, applauding. He helped out both man, offering his shirt as a towel so they could wipe the sweat and bits of blood from their eyes. The crowd's cheered loudest yet when Danielson and Omega got to their feet, backing into the corner for support. Richards got on the microphone and called for quiet.

Davey Richards: Ladies and gentlemen: Bryan Danielson and Kenny Omega!

The crowd cheered as both men raised their arm in response.

Davey Richards: Kenny Omega, that was a hell of a match. You have nothing to be ashamed of at all. You have all the potential in the world and you proved that tonight. You just need help realizing that potential.

Omega looked up at Richards, barely able to breathe from the exhausting match as the crowd clapped and Richards turned his attention to Bryan Danielson.

Davey Richards: Bryan Danielson, I...

But whatever Richards had to say was lost as he dropped the mic and pounced on American Dragon, beginning the beat down. The crowd roared in protest and began to boo as Richards elbowed and kicked away at Danielson, beating him to a bloody pulp. He grabbed Danielson by the back of the hair and began peppering him with kicks that splattered the mat with blood before dumping him to the outside. He sent Dragon flying into the guardrail before rolling him back into the ring and getting back on the mic.

Davey Richards: Bryan you stupid bitch!

And he slapped Danielson across the face, painting the mat with even more blood. Omega shoved Richards and yelled at him to stop, but he was unable to do much to stop him.

Davey Richards: You really wanna test me, boy? Huh? Do 'ya? I've just single-handedly manhandled the "Best Wrestler in the World" Bryan Danielson! Something you couldn't do!

Joey Styles: Yeah, after he just got done wrestling a twenty-five minute match!

Chris Hero: Shhhh, shut up Joey, you idiot!

Davey Richards: I could teach you how! I could put titles around your waist, accolades to your name, glory to your legacy! I could put your stupid anime DVDs in a mansion instead of your little apartment you probably got now. These piece of shit fans would tell you that this world is a struggle between good and evil, but I say this is a struggle between the powerful in the weak! This is power, Omega! Power standing right before your eyes! Are you going to do the right thing and take it?

The only thing Omega looked like he was going to do was collapse, but instead he shoved Davey Richards back and helped Bryan Danielson up, Richards gaping at the both of them. But all Kenny Omega did was hoist Bryan Danielson up onto his shoulders and hit Croyt's Wrath, the crowd exploding into shocked boos.

A smile appeared on Richards' face as the ring was showered with garbage. Omega collapsed next to Dragon, unable to get to his feet. Richards lifted Omega up and helped him out of the ring, looking back at Dragon only to give his motionless body the middle finger. Police and security had to hold fans back as Omega and Richards backed their way up the aisle and disappeared behind the curtain.

Joey Styles: I cannot believe what I've just seen. It's---

Chris Hero: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's terrible, blah blah blah, how could he? Excuse me for a moment, Joey.

Hero dropped the headphones and entered the trash-filled ring. He then stood over Bryan Danielson's body and held his FTW Heavyweight Championship in the air, most of the arena now empty while the remaining fans filled the ring with more trash. The show went off the air with Hero still standing over Bryan Danielson, the belt high in the air as he laughed his ass off.

This is incredible!
A great, detailed background, and I am loving the roster as well, minus Quack, who is the owner of CHIKARA and has stated he would never work for WWE or TNA, so... yeah, he had a good interaction with Steph on the first show though, and Quack is awesome and should be included in every diary, so meh, whatever.

Nice GFX as well.

The first show was well written, and I'm liking some of the promo's and storylines that seems to have been started on it. I'll write a full review later, since I am tired atm, and... yeah. It would end up being bad. :P

Re: Full Throttle 2.0

Thanks, man! Quack will have a lot more exposition in the future, so there will be an explanation about CHIKARA and why he decided to give FTW a shot. I just really wanted that veteran sort of character on the roster. Card will probably be up tomorrow.

Re: Full Throttle 2.0

Fantastic first show! The opening exchange of words between Hero and Styles was good. I especially liked the part where Hero said that if he started the "OH MY GOD" stuff, he'd knock him out, LOL. Good opening match, great segment between Stephanie and Quackenbush, hopefully Quackenbush eventually meets Hero for the belt. Good interview segment between Todd and Stephanie. Especially good main event between Omega/Danielson. Good post-match promo and action. Overall, great stuff man. I really like your format that you post your shows in. Looking forward to more from you! Great work man!

Sorry I don't write bigger reviews. I'm just not that good at reviewing things in depth. Anyways, again, great work man. Keep it up!

Nah don't worry about it, I like your reviews/comments because you're usually pretty truthful so I take your words to heart.

FTW on TV - Wachovia Center - Philadelphia, PA
--Last week, Davey Richards left "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson in a bloody heap after a grueling match against Kenny Omega in FTW's first ever Main Event on TV. After Danielson put Omega away with the Cattle Mutilation submission, Richards feigned respect and went on a rampage on Danielson. Omega tried to defend Danielson, but Richards, who admitted to be impressed while providing guest commentary for the match; converted him to his cause (whatever that may be) by telling him that he could lead him to great things. Omega hit Croyt's Wrath on Danielson and left with his new ally. As the show went off the air, FTW Heavyweight Champion Chris Hero climbed into the ring to stand over the fallen American Dragon with his championship belt held high.

Bryan Danielson needed thirteen stitches to close the wound, but that's not going to stop him from competing next week. In a telephone call to Stephanie McMahon, Danielson said that he wants Richards, Hero, and Omega in a match. However, Omega is not cleared to wrestle after suffering a minor arm injury in his match against Danielson and both Hero and Richards are already booked to make their debuts this week. With so many men in the locker room looking for a spot on the card, it's proving difficult for wrestlers to get what they want in FTW.

Bryan Danielson will be in attendance in Philadelphia.

--It's not only men who are looking for a spot on the card, the women of Full Throttle Wrestling are also jockeying to get their chance to get on TV. With the Women's Championship up for grabs (the Women's Title is defended on RAW and FTW. The Diva's Title is defended on Smackdown and ECW), girls like Natalya and newcomer Traci Evans need as much action they can get to land themselves in title contention. This week, they'll go toe-to-toe in FTW's first ever female wrestling match.

--This week, not only will we see the debut of Chris Hero and the women of FTW, but also Sterling James Keenan, Dragon Kid, Petey Williams, and Mike Quackenbush. Everyone is trying to make an impact on the roster and this will be their chance. We only have one show in the book and there are many positions on the roster to be taken. These men and women hope to take up the throne of dominant force and avoid being labeled: curtain jerker. With a level playing field, only one thing is certain and it's that we're bound for a great show of professional wrestling next week, only on USA.
