International Championship Wrestling is a current wrestling promotion ran by former WWE Raw general manager Eric Bischoff. ICW is the most succesful Fed in the world by taking potential and current stars from various Federations including World Wrestling Entertainment. WWE was forced to close down due to lack of wrestlers and financial crisis.
It all started on December 8th 2008 when fan favourites Jeff & Matt Hardy left WWE To goto ICW which was recruiting as The Hardy Boyz wanted to basically start a Backyard federation. More & more WWE superstars started to grow in ICW making Vince McMahon lonely and superstarless and was forced to close down the WWE but is the GM of the brand Monday Night Mayhem. As Eric Bischhoff as his boss, Vince isn't getting threated as well for the way he dumped Eric Bischoff into the trash some time around New Year of 2006.
ICW have to brands, Mayhem & Showdown which are held Monday & Friday Nights just like WWE. Eric stated he always wanted a Wrestling federation like his old federation and now has his dream. Mayhem is the older brand being there ever since ICW started. ShowDown opened on the 22nd of May and was GM'ed by Theodore Long but it might just change hands.
The Headquarters hail in Detroit, Michigan, the land were the owner was from.
