This means that the current champions in the WWF are as follows:
WWE Champion: Stone Cold Steve Austin Intercontinental Champion: The Rock
World Tag Team Champions: Cactus Jack & Terry Funk European Champion: Triple H
Light Heavyweight Champion: Taka Michinoku
However, despite high mood and the majority of those involved with the company very much on a high note things are not as happy as they seem. The WWF are in full realisation that World Championship Wrestling is growing in popularity over them day by day and that some major changes will have to be made in order to turn the tide. With that being said, Vince McMahon and a select few discuss deep into the night what must be done in order to the WWF to start the new wrestling year with the right direction.
1. The following members of the roster are cut, and their contracts are instantly terminated and the reason given is that they are surplus to requirement.
Bart Gunn Ahmed Johnson
Steve Blackman Dan Severn Darren Drozdoff Gillberg Tom Brandi Kurgan Giant Silva Golga Dick Togo Aguila
Barry Windham Steve Williams
Gangre
lMarc Mero Chainz Scorpio Tiger Ali Singh
Mosh
Thrashe
rMark Canterbury
Dennis Knight
Savio Vega Miguel Perez Jose Estrada
Jesus Castillo
Despite the removal of 28 members of the roster, it is agreed that the company now has a lot more space and depth of creativity and can now focus on the key elements of running a successful business.
NWA Ohio Valley Wrestling Champion is purchased by the WWF, and renamed Ohio Valley Wrestling. The following talent are sent to this development territory. Shane McMahon is given control of OVW, and told he has complete control, but must compile a monthly report. He is also advised to recruit as much new up and coming talent as possible.
Brian Lawler Scott Garland Val Venis D-Lo Brown Funaki Bob Holly Justin Bradshaw
RAW's current roster is thus published as so:

Jerry Lawler Christian Goldust
Vince ends the meeting, and tells the rest of the committee that he expects RAW to be of the highest standard the following day, and that if it is seen as the right choice any talent from either WCW or ECW should be taken into consideration.
I like this, I think it's kinda fresh since youre going back in time and you vcould possibly change the whole direction of WWF, if you stick iwth this you might even possibly make it to the invasion time. Of course, I don't have much experience with this time, since I was too young, but I watched many moments n the youtube, but I can say I have decent knowledge of this era, of course I know NONE of the stars you released but I know most you kept, so I'll be following
The only thing about cutting all those guys, is you really cut out a lot of jobbers. You need some guys like that for squash matches etc. Roster is looking pretty thin.
Anyway, looking forward to reading further.

The Rock Versus Jeff JArret should be an interesting one, I've always wanted to see a feud between both,, I'm not sure if it's happened in the past but if you do it I'd love to read it.
I was never much of a Mick Foley fan as a whole, didn't like his style, or his gimmicks or his voice, but I do know he can wresler, Hawk & Animal were always my favorite back in the 2000 so I'm hoping they win, but I have feeling you'll be making the team of Cactus & Terry win.
Triple H versus Goldust seems like goldust will be jobbing to the European champion.
Nation of Domination versus Hardy Boys is the match of the night for me, I'm pulling for the Hardy Boyz but Nation of Domination are no doubt going to win
I'm feeling a new Light Heavyweight Champion on Raw is War, doesn't matter who wins, I'd like Owen to win, but IWouldn't m,ind Farooq
New Age Outlaws versus Christian And Edge, again I feel as if this will be a great tag action Edge and Christian will put on ashow but I'm pretty sure New Age outlaws will win.
March 30th 1998
DCU Center, Worcester, Massachusetts
New Age Outlaws vs. Edge & Christian
This is one hell of a match and for me should Main event ahead of Jarrett/Rock. Two teams at the top of their games fighting and its not even a title match. Edge and Christian i can see getting the win despite the outside interferance of DX.
Al Snow vs. William Regal
I couldnt decide who would be better served winning so took a guess.
Light Heavyweight Championship Owen Hart vs. Farooq vs. Taka Michinoku(C)
I'm not quite sure why Faarooq is in this to begin with but im going to assume he doesnt win. Hart seems the best option for me.
Nation of Domination vs. The Hardy Boyz
2008 it would be no question about the Hardyz winning, but 1998 i have to go with the Nation.
Triple H vs. Goldust
Thanks for coming Goldie.
Cactus Jack w/ Terry Funk vs. Animal w/ Hawk
A win for Jack wouldnt do anything to advance stories for me whereas a win for Animal would set up a future title match between the team.
Intercontinental Championship The Rock(C) vs. Jeff Jarrett
As much as i love him i dont see J-E-Double F winning here.

“Welcome fans to RAW is WAR, Wrestlemania XIV was less than 24 hours ago and now we get to begin the 12 month journey all over again. What about last night's event that really stood out in your mind JR?” - Jerry Lawler
“I would say that is was most definitely Stone Cold Steve Austin becoming the WWF Champion for the first time in his career, those moments are savored by superstars for the rest of their lives.” - Jim Ross
“And if you think it couldn't get any better, what a show we have lined up here at the DCU Center.” - Jerry Lawler

Summary:
The fans seem unsure who they want to win in the early stages of the match, as it is clear that both teams are likable for a number of different reasons. E & C show off their energy multiple times, with a number of double team moves ranging from double flapjacks to double missile drop kicks and there is no doubt that a lesser team would have crumbled to them. Unfortunately the New Age Outlaws are no such team, and looked they had the match wrapped up when they connected with a spike piledriver on Christian but Edge saved his brother at the last possible moment. The match ended, when Road Dogg took Edge out with a Pumphandle falling powerslam, whilst Billy Gunn held off Christian.

Summary:
Regal and Snow had a match that can only be described as one sided, as William Regal was very much in control for the majority of the match. Regal showed his prowess with a combination of punches, uppercut and variations power slams that for some reason were a little too much for Snow to deal with. Regal looked on course for the win, when Al Snow suddenly grabbed “the head” and proceeded to ram it into Regal's head knocking him out and getting himself disqualified.
No chance that's what you got.
Up against a machine too strong.
Greedy politicians buying souls from us are puppets.
“That music means only one thing JR.” - Jerry Lawler
Won't find their place in line.
Now, tie a string around your finger now, boy.
'Cause its just a matter of time.
“And normally it means nothing but bad new for one poor soul.” - Jim Ross
Vince McMahon can be send, wearing a suit and tie as he begins to walk down the entrance ramp, as he heads directly to the ring. The fans give him a mixed reaction, as they are very much unsure was the chairman is about to say or do.
'Cause you got No chance, no chance in hell.
You got no chance, no chance in hell.
You got no chance, no chance in hell.
You got no chance, no chance in hell, yeah.
Vince finally makes it down to the ring, as he climbs up the steel steps and enters the ring as he signals to the back for his music to be cut and a smile if only for a second appears on his face.
“My name is Vincent Kennedy McMahon and I am the most powerful man in the World Wrestling Federation. And I think it is extremely important that you the WWF fans know exactly what is going on, as you may have noticed a number of changes have been made since last night's show in Boston. You see sometimes changes have to be made, if a business is ever to grow and this brings nicely to the reason I came out.” - Vince McMahon
Vince pauses for a second before he continues.
“Now I have been looking at the matches that have been scheduled tonight, and there was only one that I have a problem with and that is the triple threat match between Owen Hart, Farooq and Taka Michinoku. The fact of the matter is that all three men have done more than enough to earn their place in the WWF. The problem I have is Light Heavyweight Championship. This is a belt, which isn't about progress. It isn't about development. And it isn't about prestige. And it is therefore for these reasons, that I am stripping Taka Michinoku of the belt and retiring the belt as a of now. Enjoy the rest of the show.” - Vince McMahon
“I guess that means that the next match tonight, will be the Nation versus the Hardyz?” - Jerry Lawler

Summary:
Owen Hart must have only just found out he was going to be representing the Nation, as he and Mark Henry walked out to face the Hardy Boyz. The Hardyz were wiley and strong willed, but it was clear that neither man had the strength to knock the powerhouse Mark Henry off his feet. The match was over, before it had even begun as Jeff Hardy found himself tapping out the the Sharp Shoot from Owen Hart.
Winner: Nation of Domination
As Matt aided Jeff to the back, Owen Hart and Mark Henry were joined in the ring by fellow Nation members The Godfather and Farooq. The Rock however, didn't join his stable mates as they celebrated their victory.

Summary:
Triple H looked tired and uncomfortable, and this allowed for Goldust to actually have some room in the match. Goldust hit a number of moves on Triple H and seemed to have found an opening, before meeting a brick wall as he was sent back down to the mat via a spinebuster. However, something went wrong in the move and Triple H fell to the floor grabbing his back in a large amount of pain. Goldust saw the window opportunity present itself as he hit the Curtain Call before pinning Triple H for the victory.
Winner: Goldust
Triple H remained flat on his back, and paramedics had to carry him out of the ring via a stretcher before rushing him to hospital.
The camera cuts to the back, where the Undertaker is standing in dark room that is only illuminated by a single candle. Undertaker looks at the camera, and rolls his eyes back into his head to the infamous snakes eyes as he speaks.

Summary: Cactus Jack had a clear superiority over Animal, as he is much more well known for his talent a singles competitor. Cactus man handled Animal a number of times and pull a lot of illegal moves out of the back and knew exactly how to disguise them and hid them from the referee. Cactus took Animal out with a DDT, but the referee was distracted by Hawk and the count was not made. Almost a second later, Animal grabbed Cactus and hit a scoop slam, and whilst Hawk took out Funk, Animal won the match.
The all too familiar sound means one thing, and one thing only as Stone Cold Steve Austin exits the back with the WWE Championship hanging over his shoulder.
“Oh my he is here, lets the victory party commence.” -Jim Ross
Steve Austin continues to march down to the ring, and the fans are literally going insane at the sight of seeing the Rattlesnake so soon after his iconic victory the night before.
“Hopefully we will find out what exactly is on Stone Cold's agenda now that the Heart Break Kid is pretty out injured for the foreseeable future.” -Jerry Lawler
Stone Cold reaches the ring, and leaps up onto the turnbuckle as he flips off the fans in the way that they have loved him doing so for as long as they have known him. The music fades down, but Stone Cold continues to stomp around the ring before finally coming to halt.
“Give me a hell yeah!” -Steve Austin
HELL YEAH!
“I said give me a hell yeah!” -Steve Austin
HELL YEAH!
“Austin 3:16 says I just kick Shawn Michaels last night.” -Steve Austin
WHAT!
“I beat Shawn so hard, it looks like I might have broken his back.” -Steve Austin
WHAT!
“And now I stand here before you as the WWE Champion.” -Steve Austin
WHAT!
“The WWE Champion.” -Steve Austin
WHAT!
“But now the Rattlesnake needs to move on.” -Steve Austin
WHAT!
“And break open a can of whoop ass on the unfortunate soul that think he can deal with Stone Cold.” -Steve Austin
WHAT!
“Is it going to be Mark Henry?” -Steve Austin
WHAT!
“Or maybe The Big Bossman?” -Steve Austin
WHAT!
“Maybe even Ken Shamrock?” -Steve Austin
WHAT!
“Someone get me some damn beers!” -Steve Austin
Stone Cold gets thrown a couple of beers as he starts to parade around the ring, drinking some more.
“Did Stone Cold just send out an open challenge JR?” -Jerry Lawler
“I am not quite sure King, but either way someone is going to find themselves in a whole world of trouble when they come up against the Rattlesnake.” -Jim Ross

Summary:
Jeff and Rock certainly put on one hell of a match. The match was too and throw, with the Rock using shoulder breakers and spinebusters with Jarret returning with enziguris and drop kicks. The title looked as if it was going to change hands when the Rock found himself locked in the Figure Four, but was fortunate to grab hold of the bottom rope for the referee to call for a rope break. Jarret though he had it again, when he hit the Rock with the Stroke but yet again the Rock defied the odds as he lifted up his shoulders fractions of a second before the referee was about to say 3. The match ended out of nowhere, as the Rock reversed a grab by Jarret hit the Rock Bottom to retain his belt.
Just to nitpick, Austin didn't start using the "What" saying until about three years after when you are setting this BTB. Just saying.
Maybe it's because I had insanely high expectations, and maybe because I feel it is impossible to redo the attitude era without trying to do the exact same storylines they did since everything back then is so "classic" but I was disappointed with your show.
This mainly stems from the fact that nothing really built up. As a viewer there is very little to no intriguing reasons for me to want to tune in next week. The top star and new champion Steve Austin did very little. Maybe it would have worked better if you hyped up his open challenge a little more, like had it as the first segment of the show and then thrown in little segments in between of top stars arguing or cutting promos about why they should be the first in line for the belt to accept Austin's challenge. It could have all come to a head at the end of the show with them all going face to face. Maybe leading to some sort of number one contenders match being put in place the next week.
There was also zero mention of Backlash.
I'll give you props for taking on a concept that in my opinion is very hard to pull off simply due to how fondly the attitude era is looked back on by most fans. But sadly, your show did very little for me if anything.

The first RAW after Wrestlemania, is very much an aftermath and very little actuallly really progress (took it as an oppurtunity to make a pilot)
Also...Backlash? The next ppv is In Your House: Unforgiven
