Raw Episode 3 Preview

The final episode of RAW on the road to Judgment Day is a can't miss event. With both the number one contenders for WWE's World Championships set in stone leading to Judgment Days Undisputed World Championship tournament, WWE GM Eric Bischoff has deemed this episode as a Judgment Day Preview Night. For one time only, Legacy's leader Randy Orton is forced to re-unite with his old partner in crime Edge! What will happen when Rated RKO reunites to take on the team of Chris Jericho and HBK? Also, will either team be able to coexist for the greater good of weakening their opponents before Judgment Day, or will egos collide?

*****

Speaking of the Rated R Superstar Edge. Edge has invited his Judgment Day opponent Chris Jericho onto his talk show The Cutting Edge. What kind of choice words will these two men have when they are only one episode away from taking each other on for the World Heavyweight Championship, and more importantly a shot at the Undisputed Championship.

*****

Last week we saw Chris Jericho promise to save the Director's cut, so long as they'd let him. The talk continued off screen away from our cameras. This must leave everybody wondering if there is some sort of union set up between the two parties. If so, does it have anything to do with Director's Cut challenging the team that pinned them last week, The Kung Fu Knights to a match this week on Raw?

*****

After being attacked backstage by the number one contenders, The World's Greatest Tag Team; the Tag Team Champions Primo and Carlito have demanded that Bischoff give them a chance to get their hands on WGTT this week as they cannot wait until Judgment Day. With this in mind, Bischoff has set up an epic six man tag where John Cena will team with Carlito and Primo to take on Shad and the World's Greatest Tag Team. You've gotta wonder if Cena signing a waiver allowing him to wrestle full time despite the huge risk of re-injuring his neck is a sound idea.

*****

Last week DH Smith used the Hart families world famous Sharp Shooter submission hold to gain a victory over Rey Mysterio in a non title Tag Team match. As a result of submitting the IC Champion, DH Smith has been granted a title shot at Judgment Day. At the request of his leader Randy Orton, DH Smith has demanded that the contract signing for the match take place live on RAW. Speaking of Legacy, you've gotta wonder what Dibiase has in store for Kane, or more importantly what Kane has in store for Dibiase. After taking Dibiase's comments so personally on episode 1 of RAW Kane has been on a rampage targetting Legacy.

WWE 2K9 Question Of The Day:
Do WWE 2K9 fans like the idea of Edge being a tweener or is it too confusing or contradicting? If Edge were to do a full fledged turn, would you rather him be a heel or a face?

Re: World Wrestling Entertainment 2k9 (Anything Can And Will Happen)

The preview for Raw looks good, looking forward to the show! HBK/Jericho versus Rated RKO should be a killer match, can't wait to read that one! Judgment Day is looking pretty good so far. Keep up the good work!

Hmm I've never really been a huge fan of the idea of Tweeners, unless it's a character such as Steve Austin, Taz, or Samoa Joe. I think it'd be better for him to be a full-on heel in this case.

Preview looks nice. A little shaky on the main event tbh, but I'm betting something big will happen there. The undercard is very solid though.

I was meaning to post Episode 3 of RAW by now but I have been insanely busy with work. At the latest RAW will be posted Saturday, and Judgment Day Sunday.

RAW Episode Three

0:00-0:03-A video package recapping the epic encounter between HBK and Triple H last week to determine who will face Orton for the WWE Championship at Judgment Day is played. It is followed by the regular RAW opening. The pyro hits and the fans go wild. We are reminded that this is the final episode of RAW before Judgment Day and as always anything can and will happen because as Eric Bischoff has been known to say, controversy created cash. (except in Muhammad Hassan's case....we know where that whole thing went....)

0:03-0:14-The Cutting Edge set is in the ring. Edge's music hits and he is greeted to a mixed reaction by the crowd. Edge is sporting his regular street gear. He is handed a microphone by one of the ring side officials.
Edge: Welcome to the cutting Edge!

**Crowd Pops**
Edge: Tonight is a very special show, as I've invited a fellow Canadian, and my opponent for Judgment Day; Chris "Y2J" Jericho.

**Crowd Boos**

**Jericho's music hits, it sends the crowd into an even more hateful frenzy.**

Jericho is handed a microphone. Jericho is sporting a cross look on his face. He pauses to collect his thoughts.

Jericho: Don't you dare call me Y2J ever again.

Edge: Excuse me Y2.....Chris? I'm just doing my job as the host of this show. Don't try and put me at fault for some sort of fruity identity crisis you are facing.

Jericho: That's cute, it really is. You bring me out here on the last RAW before the biggest match of your career just to cut lame jokes at my expense. Just to pander to these zealots who will forget you in an instant once you break your neck again, once you can no longer give them something to take. Instead of cutting these jokes you should be preparing for me Edge, because last week I nearly ended Ken Kennedy's career with a cold calculated demeanor that could only be displayed by the future Undisputed Champion.....I find it quite the dichotomy that you have that belt on your shoulders, that you've win the World Belt 9 times, yet you still have no idea how to prepare as a champion...

Edge: .....Sorry.....you were talking?

**Jericho begins pacing, he is clearly not taking kindly to Edge's antics.**

Jericho: You bring me here onto your joke of a talk show just to insult me and act like a child. You know, that's fine with me because the only reason I wasted my time coming out here is because I have two guys in the back right now waiting for my order to come out here and beat the snot out of you. Both the Miz and Kendrick heard me out last week and as a result I have saved them. They are my Apostles Of Revolution, and I am their Savior and Leader. Edge, I'm going to offer you a very lucrative position here.

Edge: What would that be, Chris?

Jericho: I've got one more spot left, and judging by your misdirection, judging by the fact that you've won the belt nine times but have been unable to hold onto it for more than 2 months, you aren't ready to be a champion, you aren't ready to be in the position you're in. So how about at Judgment Day you lay down for me in our match, spare yourself the embarrassment of being destroyed in front of millions of fan around the world. Afterwards I will give you the privilege of joining the Apostles Of Revolution, I will be your Savior and shape you in my image.

Edge: As unappealing as your little orgy sounds, I'm going to have to pass. I'd much rather beat your ass at Judgment Day and go on to become the Undisputed Champion.

Jericho:
So be it, Apostles come out now. We've got some business to take care of.

Edge: No need to wait for your Apostles to come out, we can take care of this right now.

**Jericho looks confused, Edge pounces on Jericho and a brawl breaks out of nowhere. Edge has the advantage until Miz and Kendrick finally hit the ring and make it a 3 on 1. Edge is getting destroyed......the lights go out.....**

**IT'S ALL ABOUT THE GAMMMMMMMMEEEE!!!!!**

Good god! Why is Triple H out here? Last week he was just involved in a brutal match with HBK, this can't be smart.

Triple H hits the ring and makes the save. He blind sides The Apostles Of Revolution. The Apostles retreat. Once the Apostles retreat Edge looks at Triple H cautiously, until he realizes that Triple H is on his side....for once.

The scene fades out with Jericho furiously yelling as he retreats up the ramp.

0:14-0:16-The Kung Fu Knights are backstage. Jimmy Wang Yang begins arguing about Funaki regarding their name. Funaki admits that he got carried away after seeing the Dark Knight and thought that Wang Yang and himself could be the vigilantes of the WWE, clearly it hasn't worked out that way. Wang Yang suggests they call themselves something more appropriate, The Kung Fu Cowboys. Funaki doesn't like it at first, but then

Wang Yang pulls out a surprise. Funaki's very own cowboy hat. Funaki loves it and begins jumping around slapping his own ass as if he is riding a horse. The very strange scene fades out with us now informed about this sudden name change. WWE corporate isn't going to be happy about having to redo all those Shopzone Shirts will they....? We're informed that the Kung Fu Knig...I mean Cowboys will be taking on Miz and Kencrick after the break.

0:16-0:20-Commercial Break

0:20-0:22-(During The Break) Jericho bursts into Bischoff's office with the Apostles Of Revolution behind him. He begins going on a tirade as his face gets red as a beat. He tells Bischoff that he wants Triple H in a match tonight against an Apostle of his choice. He rationals to Bischoff by saying that Triple H was looking for a fight by hitting the ring so he should give him one. Bischoff agrees but tells Jericho that both Kendrick and The Miz are already booked tonight against The Kung Fu Knights. Jericho tells Bischoff that he'll find somebody. Jericho then looks into the camera and sends an open invitation to anybody in the RAW locker room who is looking for a big break. Step up and face Triple H to avenge the Apostles, in return Jericho will save them. The scene fades out.

Quote:
0:22-0:26-The Apostles Of Revolution (Kendrick and Miz) Def. The Kung Fu Cowboys

Jericho escorts the Apostles Of Revolution to the ring. This match surprisingly enough turns into an all out squash match with Kendrick and Miz destroying the Cowboys. This is a very surprising turn of events considering that last week Miz and Kendrick were pinned cleanly by the Cowboys. Could a single week of Jericho's leadership and guidance really improve and save a team this drastically?

Here are your winners, The Apostles Of Revolution.
It looks like Jericho's offer for somebody to take on Triple H tonight and join the Apostles is looking even more lucrative than before.
0:26-0:30-Commercials

0:30-0:34-(EARLIER TODAY) We're backstage with Matt Striker. He is standing by with John Cena. Striker asks Cena if there is any truth to what Shad said last week when Shad accused Cena of using him for help against JBL, and then never returning the favor.

Cena: You see Striker, I know it, these fans know it, hell the whole locker room knows it, I'm a stand up guy. My homies, I give back to them. The thing about Shad is, yes he proved his worth by helping me against JBL, but after I broke my neck and was out of action for months, I couldn't help but to feel like Shad used me......
Striker: Shad used you? Didn't he say it was the other way around?

Cena: He did say that.....but I think Shad failed to mention the fact that after I worked so hard to give him a rub with management, and recruited him to help me, I got him involved in higher profile matches, all he had to do was win them. It was all good, until I broke my neck. Being out of action, I couldn't help Shad's career anymore. You know what Shad did in return? He never called me to see how I was doing, he never visited me, hell, he never even sent me a card. What, a jacked up guy like me can't enjoy a good Hallmark card every one and a while?

The bottom line is, when everybody else was there for me; Shad was nowhere in site. It gave me a pretty clear indication of where he stood. Unlike Shad, I moved on. I didn't hold animosity towards him.....that is until two shows ago when he cost me my shot at the Undisputed Championship.
Now, Shad is unleashed a monster. Nobody gets in the way of John Cena and success and lives to tell about it. Tonight in our six man Tag Team match, Shad better hope to whichever form of God that he believes in that we don't end up in the ring together, because if we do I will inflict more pain and suffering on him than he has ever faced in his career, after that if Shad even makes it to Judgment Day I will give him an Attitude Adjustment that he will never forget.

The segment fades out.
Quote:
0:34-0:51-John Cena and The Colons VS Shad and the World's Greatest
Tag Team

Beginning: John Cena opts to start. He calls Shad out. Instead Benjamin starts the match. Cena dominates Benjamin for the most part and begins isolating him in the corner. Cena tags out to Primo. Primo goes for a kick but Shelton grabs his foot and reverses it into a huge enziguri allowing himself to tag out to Shad. Shad uses his superior strength to ground and dominate Primo. He gets Primo into a rest hold as we ease into the commercial break.

0:40-0:44-Commercial Break

Finish:
Shad keeps Primo onto his own side of the ring away from the Tag Partners. Along with Haas and Benjamin Shad cycles out Tags and numerous double team moves. Primo gets close a few times to Tagging Out but is unable to do so.

Benjamin is now in the ring. He knocks Carlito off the apron. Haas goes to the outside and begins battling with Carlito. Benjamin grabs Primo and drags him over to his teams corner. He tags out to Shad. Shad and Benjamin go for a double back drop, Primo flips out of it and leaps making the hot tag to Cena.

Cena comes in and knocks Benjamin out of the ring, he turns around about to clean house and sees Shad. Time stands still as the two are finally about to get it on. Cena and Shad slowly engage each other as they stare down. Cena begins unleashing a fury of punches, but just as he does Haas who has already made work of Carlito jumps Cena from behind. Haas and Shad stomp Cena down 2 on 1 while the referee attempts to maintain order. Primo comes into the ring to even the odds, followed by Benjamin. The match breaks down into an all out brawl.

Cena delivers an Attitude Adjuster to Haas and then clotheslines Benjamin out of the ring. Shad and Cena are the only two left in the ring and both the legal men. Cena turns around and gets blindsided by Shad's new finisher a modified Tiger Driver which he calls Gun Point. Shad covers Cena for the three!!!

Despite Cena and Shad not getting a chance to have a fair one on one confrontation without involvement from the non legal members of Shad's team, this has gotta be considered a huge upset and the biggest win of Shad's career thus far. If Shad can repeat this at Judgment Day he could very well establish himself as a future Undisputed Championship contender.
Shad and WGTT retreat up the ramp with their arms raised. Cena slowly makes his way to his feet and is furious at how things went down. I guess we'll have to wait until Judgment Day to see if Cena can extract his revenge.

0:51-0:54-
Triple H is backstage with Matt Striker. Striker questions why a bandaged up Triple H would make the save for one of his enemies Edge at the start of the show. Triple H says it is simple. For as much as he hates

Edge, he hates Jericho ten times as more. He says that Jericho is everything that is wrong with the wrestling business and the thought of Jericho becoming Undisputed Champion makes him sick. Triple H claims that all Jericho has done lately is run his mouth, and now even worse he is recruiting scum to shape in his image. Somebody has to step up and stop Jericho before his actions ruin the WWE as a whole. Triple H claims that despite being injured from his match with HBK he will take on whoever decides to join Jericho tonight and he will send a message.

0:54-0:58-Commercials

0:58-1:10-We go to ringside where the ring is carpeted. There is a table along with two business chairs set up. We are informed that the IC Championship Contract Signing will take place live right now. First the challenger DH Smith comes out. It is out of character, but DH Smith is alone. Usually where ever one member of Legacy comes the other follows. Before Rey comes out DH Smith grabs the microphone.

Smith: This is sad, extremely, extremely sad. Myself, one of the last remaining members of the Hart Legacy comes out here and gives you fans the privilege of basking in my greatness, yet I get booed. You should all be ashamed. I am the son of the British Bulldog. To refresh your memory, The British Bulldog is THE greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time. That record will stand strong, that is until Judgment Day. The reason being, at Judgment Day I will do what I did last week and make Mysterio tape out to the deadliest submission hold in this business, the Sharpshooter and I will go on to have the greatest IC title reign of all time. When I get Mysterio into that Sharp Shooter he will be forced to tap, because if he doesn't his ligaments will be torn to shreds and his career will be over.....

**Mysterio's music interrupts Smith's monlogue. The crowd goes nuts for Mysterio**

Mysterio enters the ring and goes face to face with Smith. Mysterio is handed a microphone.

Mysterio: You know what, you're right. You are the last carrier of the Hart Foundation's Legacy and these fans SHOULD be privileged to see you wrestler....that is, if you weren't such a disrespectful jerk! You have all the talent in the world, I know for a fact that you and I are going to have a great match on Sunday yet you have to ruin it all by being a part of Randy Orton's faction. I'm a good man DH and I can forgive, in return I'm urging that you leave Legacy behind, quit disgracing your family, your roots.

Smith: Really Mysterio.....I've never really seen you as a comedy act, but that's hilarious. How am I disgracing my family roots by being part of the most powerful faction in wrestling history? I can have ANYTHING I want, ANYTIME I want just because I've got Legacy backing me up. Let's just sign this contract and get it over with before you make an even bigger fool out of yourself and before being within five feet of you for any longer results in me bringing the Swine Flu back to my great country of Canada.

**DH Smith grabs the contract and signs it. The official takes it and hands it to Mysterio**

Mysterio:
So be it Smith, but just so you know signing this means that this Sunday you are going to get a lesson in respect, hopefully a lesson that you will take with you for the rest of your career. I will give you some props though, I'm surprised you had the guts to come out here without any of Legacy to back you up.

**Mysterio signs the contract and turns around to leave the ring**

Smith: Wait, wait, wait. You think I came out here alone? You've got it all wrong Rey. You see, last week after you gave up the opporitunity of a life time to bring the IC Belt to Legacy, Orton had to do a little recruiting to fill the extra spot. He found somebody who fits the bill perfectly......say hello to Jamal!

**A giant Samoan decked out in street gear attacks Mysterio from behind. DH Smith joins in**

Good god, by the looks of it that is Jamal! The last time we saw him on WWE Television was when he was a part of Eric Bischoff's Three Minute Warning. Could his ties to Bischoff have possibly resulted in him landing a contract with the WWE again? Jamal is part of a wrestling Legacy. His full name is Jamal Fatu. It looks like Orton has finally recruited a big enforcer to Legacy.

Jamal slams Mysterio through the table. DH Smith grabs Mysterio's IC Belt and poses holding it in the air. Could we be a week away from seeing DH Smith capture the IC Belt for Legacy? Good god, Legacy is now even more unstoppable with Jamal at their side.

1:10-1:14-
Edge is in his locker room taping up for his match later tonight. Orton walks in with Dibiase. Orton cues for Dibiase to wait outside, he says he needs to talk to Edge in private.
Both champions stare down with each other.

Orton: Listen, I don't have much time so I'll make this as quick as possible. You and I, we have a past together. We feuded over the IC Belt, we were Tag Team Champions as Rated RKO, and now we've gone onto both cement our Legacy as two of the greatest of all time.

Edge: Get to the point Randy....

Orton: Tonight we have to team up to face HBK and Jericho. You know that there's no way in hell that those two can co-exist together. I say, for one night only we put our differences aside and work together as a unit to take these two out. Soften them up for Judgment Day. You and I both know that it HAS to be me and you in the finals for the Undisputed Belt, so let's do everything in our power to make it happen.

**Orton offers his hand to Edge. Edge looks reluctant at first but shakes it. Orton is about to leave but Edge doesn't let go. He pulls Orton in close and they are now face to face.**

Edge: I will put our differences aside just for tonight, but so help you god if you try anything Randy I will do my best to make sure that you being Undisputed Champion is irrelevant because you won't even make it to Judgment Day. Are we clear?

Orton and Edge stare down as the scene fades out.

1:14-1:20-Commercials

1:20-1:22-Kane cuts a promo from a dark unknown location backstage. Kane begins laughing. He sounds like he has lost his mind. He reminds Dibiase that he could have very well attacked him tonight, but he won't. He wants Dibiase to be driven to madness waiting for Sunday, anticipating what might happen. Kane threatens Dibiase saying Dibiase will feel the anguish and pain that Kane's scares caused him for all those years having to hide under a mask, as that is truly the only way that he will ever understand what Kane went through.
Quote:
1:22-1:35-Triple H makes his way out for the match. The crowd is hush silent anticipating who will take up Jericho's offer to be saved.
Mike Knox's music hits. Mike Knox wastes no time taking it to Triple H. Triple H's ribs are bandages up as a result of his stunning match last week with HBK. Knox dominates most of the match against an injured Triple H. Triple H comes back mid match with a spine buster after getting in very little offense. Both men are down as we head to a commercial.

1:26-1:29-Commercials

Finish: Knox regains control dominating Triple H. HHH goes for a clotheslines, Knox ducks and the ref gets knocked out. Triple H turns around and hits a Pedigree, there is no referee. Out of nowhere comes Jericho flying into the ring. He nails HHH with a steal chair. HHH is now busted wide open. Kendrick and Miz take turns holding Triple H while Jericho delivers punch after punch to Triple H's bloody forehead. Jericho is yelling obscenities in the process telling Triple H that nobody disrespects the Savior. Jericho orders Mike Knox to attack HHH. Miz whips HHH off the ropes and Knox hits a huge big boot. The Apostles Of Revolution celebrate with their arms raised over Triple H's unconscious body as we head into a commercial break.
1:35-1:39-Commercial

Quote:
1:39-2:00-Jericho and HBK VS Rated RKO
We are shown that Triple H was escorted out of the ring by the officials. The Apostles are now gone from ringside and Jericho is awaiting his partner HBK in anticipation for his match. HBK's music hits to a huge pop. HBK enters the ring, you can clearly tell there is a huge amount of tension between both men. Having to team up just months after Jericho falcon punched HBK's wife cannot lead to anything good.
You think you know me hits spliced in with Randy Orton's theme Voices straight afterwards. Surprisingly enough Rated RKO is entering together as a team without Legacy at helm. Could Orton's speech about them putting their differences aside to be a team for one night only really have been that effective?

HBK starts out the match. Rated RKO clearly dominates. Multiple times HBK goes in for the tag but Jericho leans off the apron, refusing to tag into the match. This is a smart strategy by Jericho, although he doesn't get a chance to do any damage to his opponent for Judgment Day Edge, he doesn't take any damage himself. Also, as a result HBK gets beat up. There is a possibility that HBK could be Jericho's opponent on Sunday if they both advance to the Undisputed Championship match.

After HBK trying to tag out once more, Jericho simply gets off the apron and begins walking up the ramp. Edge isn't having any of this. With Orton being the legal man Edge follows Jericho up the ramp and drags him hair first down to ringside. Jericho begins exchanging punches with Edge. In the ring Orton gets thrown over the top near Jericho and Edge by HBK. HBK looks down at all three men. HBK climbs the top rope and hits a huge splash onto everybody on the outside. We've got a pile of broken bodies on the floor as we go to a commercial break.

1:49-1:53-Final Commercial Break

We're now back in the ring with HBK taking on Edge. Jericho still refuses to tag in. Edge goes for a running boot to HBK, HBK ducks and Edge hits Jericho who is on the apron. Jericho is knocked down but remains on the apron. HBK sees this as his chance and tags out. Jericho surprised has no time to react. HBK rolls to the outside and Edge drags Jericho in the ring and begins beating down his opponent for Judgment Day. Edge begins beating down Jericho, he whips Jericho hard into Rated RKO's corner,

Jericho is knocked down. Edge waits in the opposite turnbuckle teasing the spear. Edge goes to hit the spear but Jericho moves sending Edge's spear straight at Orton. Orton is knocked down to the floor. Edge continues to dominate The Savour Chris Jericho. Edge turns around right into an RKO! Orton must have thought the spear was intentional. Jericho slightly surprised realizes what happened. He begins stomping away at Edge with Orton. Jericho turns around, Hbk simply shrugs his shoulders as if to say whatever and Sweet Chins Jericho. By now it has turned into an all out brawl between the four men with everybody getting in offense on whoever they can. The show ends with the match being declared a no contest. Once weapons begin getting involved in the brawl the whole locker room runs down to the ring along with an army of officials. Everybody attempts to separate and hold back the four men. The show fades out to the WWE Logo with all four men trying to swim through the officials to get to and attack each other. What a turn of events! RAW Episode 3 Quick Notes:
-Jericho appears on The Cutting Edge and announces that he is a Savior and has formed his own group which he calls the Apostles Of Revolution. Jericho's Apostles attack Edge. A banged up Triple H makes the save.

-The Kung Fu Knights change their name to the Kung Fu Cowboys.

-Jericho demands that Triple H be put in a match against one of his Apostles. Bischoff agrees that if Triple H is willing to get involved in Jericho's business Jericho should be deemed a chance to set it straight with a match but both Miz and Kendrick are already booked tonight. Jericho tells Bischoff to make the match, whoever wants the opporitunity to be Saved by Jericho can step up and take on Triple H.

-Kendrick and Miz squash the same team that pinned them cleanly last week the Kung Fu Cowboys. This is an indication that Jericho's guidence is something that works and is to be taken very seriously. It also indicates that the spot Jericho is offering for whoever takes on HHH later tonight in the Apostles Of Revolution is a very serious and lucrative spot.

-Cena cuts an interview earlier in the day claiming that Shad was lying about Cena using him.

-Shad pins John Cena with his new finisher the Gun Point. As a result Shad and the WGTT defeat Cena and the Tag Team Champions the Colons.

-Triple H cuts an interview with Striker rationalizing about why he'd get involved with Jericho and why he made the save for Edge who for the most part Triple H is enemies with.

-Smith and Mysterio sign a contract for their IC Championship match at Judgment Day. Jamal Fatu (formely from 3 Minute Warning) attacks Mysterio cementing himself as the new fourth member of Legacy.

-Orton asks Edge to put their differences aside for one night only so that they can be a team. They agree.

-Kane cuts a promo promising that at Judgment Day Dibiase will feel the pain that the scars he use to bare had caused him.

-Mike Knox takes up Jericho's offer and faces Triple H. The match ends with Jericho sending a message to whoever opposes himself and the Apostles Of Revolution. Jericho sends the message that no matter how big you are, if you miss with the Apostles they will take you down. HHH gets 4 on 1'd resulting in HHH being carried backstage.

-Rated RKO VS HBK and Jericho breaks down into an all out 4 man fight. The whole backstage crew and roster has to come down to stop the four men from destroying each other before Judgment Day.

Re: World Wrestling Entertainment 2k9 (Anything Can And Will Happen)

5/15/2009

After the recent Board Of Director's meeting, the WWE has officially announced that both Extreme Rules and Cyber Sunday have been dropped from the WWE's yearly PPV Calendar. The official explanation given by Vince McMahon himself was that in this economy with WWE now being a single entity, as well as the fact that they have a smaller roster of talent to build upon, having 14 PPVs is not a smart business choice. As a result of the irradication of the brand split WWE is in a process of rebuilding their image and giving some of the mainstay talent the extra push that they need to become Main Event Superstars, having 14 PPVs does not work with that idea.

Another tidbit of news sent in by Rajah.com reader Jeremy is that Comcast Cable has officially changed the Night Of Champions synthosis to WWE PPV: To Be Announced, WWE Superstars battle it out to determine who will go onto face the Undisputed Champion at SummerSlam. By the sounds of this change, Night Of Champions is no longer a WWE PPV which makes sense since at that time WWE will only have three championships thus defeating the point of Night Of Champions. We cannot say for sure, but the explanation sounds like an indication that WWE is finally giving SummerSlam the "WrestleMania of the Summer" treatment once again and building up a contender well before the event in some sort of conceptual PPV. Much like how the winner of the Royal Rumble goes onto face the WWE Champion at WrestleMania.

JUDGMENT DAY PREVIEW

The first WWE 2K9 PPV is set to air tonight in dramatic fashion. Despite only having three shows to be built up, Judgment Day is looking to be a can't miss event. For only the second time ever in wrestling history, the two top World Belts in wrestling will be merged into an Undisputed Championship. Along with the Intercontinental and Tag Team Championship matches that leaves us with a blockbuster five championship matches at Judgment Day.

John Cena VS Shad
Raw 1-For reasons unknown Shad interfered in John Cena's tournament match against Chris Jericho and delivered a chair shot that was heard across the world. As a result of Shad's actions Cena lost his chance at becoming the Undisputed Champion.

Raw 2-Before RAW it was announced that as a result of the chair shot to the back of the head, Cena has sustained injuries that if he wrestled could result in his neck injury being aggravated. As a result Cena was not suppose to be at RAW Episode 2 and was suppose to be at home anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months to recover. Shad used Cena's absence as an opportunity to enlighten Cena's fans on why he did what he did. Shad attempted to convince the fans that Cena used him and JTG to fend off JBL, and when JTG and himself were no longer useful to Cena, Cena ceased contact with them. Shad was attacked from behind by Cena, who right after the altercation burst into Eric Bischoff's office demanding a match against Shad at Judgment Day. Bischoff agreed on the condition that Cena sign a waiver that would not hold Bischoff, Shad, or the WWE responsible if Cena were to re-injure his neck. Cena agreed.

Raw 3-Cena explained that Shad was lieing to the fans last week. The reason Cena stopped contacting Shad was because after helping Cryme Time so much with their career, when Cena broke his neck and was stuck at home or in a hospital bed, he had all his real friends calling him daily, visiting him, Shad was nowhere to be seen. Cena claimed to have not taken it personally until Shad cost Cena his chance at the Undisputed Championship.
Later during the night Shad pinned Cena with the Gun Point in a six man Tag Team match.

Kane VS Ted Dibiase JR.
Raw 1-Dibiase interrupted Kane's promo, stating that the show was running out of time and that Legacy's promo time was more important than Kane's. Dibiase made fun of Kane for parading around in a mask and body suit for years despite having no scares. Kane took the comments very seriously, and despite warning Dibiase not to make such comments, Dibiase persisted. Uncharacteristically Kane left the ring quietly. The moment has proven to be a calm before the storm that Dibiase has unleashed within Kane.

Raw 2-After Rey Mysterio refused to join Legacy, Legacy beat Mysterio down. Kane made the save, or more appropriately saw it as an opporitunity to get revenge against Dibiase. As a result of the brawl Bischoff declared that Legacy would face Mysterio and Kane in a Tag Team match. The Tag Team match resulted in Kane chasing Dibiase around the building before DH Smith was able to isolate and defeat Mysterio.

Raw 3-Kane cut a promo promising that Dibiase would feel the pain that the scars had caused Kane, as that is the only way that Dibiase would truly understand what Kane went through. Whether these are serious threats, or just empty promises has yet to be seen. We will find out at Judgment Day.

World's Greatest Tag Team VS The Colons
Raw 1-The Colons announce that on Raw Episode 2 there will be an open invitation elimination match to determine who becomes the number on contenders for the Tag Team Championships at Judgment Day.
After losing decisively to Triple H, Benjamin is convinced by Haas to go back to their roots and reform the World's Greatest Tag Team.

Raw 2-Benjamin and Haas win the invitational. They also attack the Colons from behind during the show in order to send a message.

Raw 3-
Along with Shad, the WGTT defeated John Cena and the Colons in what was dubbed as a Judgment Day Preview match.

David The Bulldog Smith VS Rey Mysterio
Raw 2-Legacy offered Rey Mysterio a spot in the group. Legacy was mainly interested in Rey bringing the IC Belt into Legacy's possession. After Rey refused Orton warned Rey that if Rey did not bring the IC Belt to Legacy, Legacy would take it. A beat down ensued that was stopped by Kane. Bischoff signed a Tag Team match as a result of the brawl pitting Kane and Mysterio against Legacy.
With Dibiase and Kane gone from ringside the Tag Team match had broken down into more of a singles affair. Mysterio had the match won until Orton got involved delaying the West Coast Pop just enough to allow Smith time to reverse it into a sharp shooter. With Rey Mysterio tapping Legacy was able to convince Bischoff that Smith deserved a shot at the belt for defeating the champion in a non title confrontation.

Raw 3-
During a contract signing for the match Mysterio tried to open up to Smith and convince him to leave Legacy as it was only disgracing the Hart family. Smith disagreed and as a result called on for the newest member of Legacy Jamal Fatu to blindside and attack Mysterio.

Tournament For The Undisputed Championship.
Orton defends the WWE World Championship against HBK, while Edge defends the World Heavyweight Championship against Chris Jericho. The winner of each championship match face off against each other in the main event in order to merge both belts into the Undisputed Championship.

It all began with a confrontation between Edge and Orton with both men disagreeing on who the real World's Champion was now that the WWE was a single entity. Bischoff announced that he already fixed the problem and that there would be a tournament leading into Judgment Day with two seperate brackets, one for the WWE Championship, and one for the Heavyweight Championship.

Bischoff determined that Edge and Orton had already proved themselves simply by having World Championships around their waist. As a result, both Edge and Orton got a bye straight into Judgment Day where they would defend their belts.

In the World Heavyweight Championship bracket Kennedy defeated The Big Show via countout, the same night Jericho defeated John Cena. Jericho defeated Kennedy in one of the more aggressive matches we've seen from Jericho the next week.

In the WWE Championship bracket Hardy was defeated by HBK, who went onto face HHH the next week when HHH defeated Benjamin.

In a match where HBK urged Triple H to be his enemy for one night only Triple H and HBK battled in a bloody affair. With no Count Outs and No DQs they pulled out all the stops. When the dust settled HBK was victorious.

This leaves us with Jericho, HBK, Orton, and Edge as our possible Undisputed Champions. Nothing is set in stone and anything can and will happen. The only way to find out who wins would be to tune into Judgment Day tonight.

Re: World Wrestling Entertainment 2k9 (Anything Can And Will Happen)

Very good RAW, man! I absolutely loved Jericho's promo. You captured his character perhaps even better than he has (or maybe it's just because I'm already bored of him on SD). The end was appropriate considering how big those two matches at Judgment Day will be, so I can excuse the no contest in a main event. Jamal was a real surprise, and while some could say that Legacy is getting a bit big here, I think what you have right now is a solid number. With how much Legacy is involved in the feuds on RAW, it's surprising that I don't feel Legacy's overall presence isn't overwhelming the show. Nice job.

Thanks, Jericho is a pretty fun character to write for just because he is such a great stable villain. I'm trying to give his character a bit more depth with his own stable.

I'm not a big fan of using No Contests or false finishes unless they move along the storylines in some purpose. This is the last show before the PPV, meaning that if this was WWE IRL the last image people would see would be the two Main Events for Judgment Day in a huge brawl at the end of the show. Truthfully I booked this far in advance, all my shows are pretty much booked at once in cliff notes one month/ppv at a time, then when the time comes I write them in advanced form. It's kind of funny because Smackdown used the same tactic of having the last show before the PPV end in a brawl consisting of the stars in their PPV Main Events.

As for Jamal I decided to use Jamal instead of Umaga as Umaga's character has very little depth at this point. WWE made the mistake of getting rid of Armando his old manager so at this point he can't really carry on a feud because he can't speak on the microphone in order to communicate and advance the storylines.

Not to spoil anything, but Legacy is now 100% complete. Since Cody Rhodes wasn't drafted to WWE I couldn't just leave Legacy as Orton and Dibiase. That is why I added DH Smith along with Jamal Fatu. Unlike on RAW where Legacy's main purpose is to back up Orton, I'm trying to give each member some sort of significant feud in the background of whatever Orton is doing, although since they are all in the same stable it sometimes interlinks together.

Thanks for the review.

Re: World Wrestling Entertainment 2k9 (Anything Can And Will Happen)

If you read my post in the BTB Discussion Thread you're aware that my Laptop got fried so I'm taking a hiatus for a few weeks until I get a new computer as my families desktop isn't free enough of the time for me to type my BTB. Fortunetely nobody is really around right now so I'm able to get Judgment Day typed up. I'm opting to do a live coverage type thing as opposed to posting it in full as I don't know if I will have time to finish the whole thing. The World Championship matches will be typed in full, but the Undercard will be typed in bullet point in order to conserve time. In the future when I have a computer to use my PPVs will all be typed in full so don't view this as an indication of a lack of quality or effort on my part.

0:05-0:23-WWE Championship Match, Randy Orton defends against HBK

HBK enters first to a huge pop. The announcers hype how HBK had the hardest time out of any of the men in the tournament simply due to the luck of the draw and how he ended up in a brutal NO DQ match with Triple H. They go over how Orton has a huge advantage not only due to the fact that due to being the champion he not only has had a lighter TV Schedule than HBK, only wrestling once in the Judgment Day preview Tag Match, but also due to the fact that he is the WWE Champion he got a bye straight to the PPV.

Orton enters second doing his slow methodical walk to the ring. Despite both Dibiase and Smith having matches to prepare for tonight they along with the newest member of Legacy Jamal are at Orton’s side. Orton slides into the ring and stares at his WWE Championship belt, perhaps for the last time before handing it off to the official. The official shows each men the belt from their respective corners and raises it in the air. The participants are announced in big match fashion. The rules are announced. Unlike the finals of each tournament bracket (example HBK VS HHH) where there were No DQ and No Countouts as there had to be a winner, regular WWE Championship rules apply to this match. Meaning there are DQs and Count Outs. In what is a very interesting note, the champion doesn’t exactly have to beat the contender to make it to the finals, all he has to do is leave with the belt still around his waist. Meaning, if Orton were to be DQed or Counted Out he would still remain champ, which means although HBK would have won the match, Orton would go onto defend the belt in the Undisputed Championship match as he still would be champion.

Before the bell can ring Eric Bischoff’s music hits. Bischoff states that in the interest of presenting the best possible product to the fans, anybody who gets involved in either the WWE, Heavyweight, or Undisputed Championship matches tonight will be fired on the spot. As a result Legacy are forced to leave ringside.

Beginning:
The match starts with Orton working HBK’s knee in methodical fashion. HBK tries to use his speedy offense to subdue Orton but perhaps due to the road HBK had to travel just to get to this match, it is no match for a fresh Orton. Orton spends most of the first ten minutes decimating HBK. The fans are behind HBK hoping for a comeback.

Middle: Orton nails a devastating dropkick onto HBK. He begins stalking HBK, the fans sense an RKO coming. This would be quite the disappointment if a WWE Championship match of such magnitude ended just shy of ten minutes.

Orton goes for the RKO, in a move of desperation HBK uses Ortons momentum to toss him over the top rope to the floor. The fans are on their feet. This could be the make or break moment of the match for HBK. HBK runs off the ropes and suicide dives to the floor, Orton moves out of the way sending HBK head first to the outside. HBK is out of it. The fans are disappointed that HBK’s comeback ended so abruptly.

Orton whips HBK shoulder first into the barricade as the ref counts. Orton keeps beating HBK down around ringside. Orton seems to be using an unorthodox strategy here, it looks like he is attempting to keep his belt by forcing a double countout. In such a scenario Orton still being champion would move onto the Main Event to defend his belt.

The ref is at 7 and Orton is in clear control, out of nowhere HBK delivers a huge Sweet Chin Music! Both men are down on the ground. HBK has 3 counts to roll back in and out of the ring to restart the count or else Orton will end up going to the finals.

The fans are on their feet. HBK gets into the ring at nine, and in a pit of desperation launches himself back out of the ring, crashing to the floor and doing some more damage to his knee. More importantly, HBK was able to restart the count.

Finish:
Orton, who has now recovered and regains control as a result of HBK’s blunder resumes his double countout strategy. Orton attempts to whip HBK into the stairs, HBK reverses it sending Orton crashing shoulder first into the steps. HBK rolls Orton back into the ring and climbs the top rope. After hitting the Heartbreak Elbow HBK covers for a late 2!

HBK makes it to his feet, out of nowhere Orton hits an RKO! You can sense the hope and energy drain out of the crowd right after that one swift move. Orton covers HBK, 1……2……3…..wait no! HBK gets his foot on the ropes! Orton begins arguing with the referee. Orton has the referee by the shirt, what a scumbag verbally abusing the official.

Another move out of nowhere, HBK makes a last ditch effort to hit a Sweet Chin Music but Orton uses the official as a shield. The official is down and out. HBK falls to his knees. Orton takes this as an opportunity to dish out more punishment to HBK. Orton goes to the outside and forces Lillian Garcia off of her chair. He goes into the ring and holds it in the air, the fans boo.

Orton stalks HBK, HBK makes it to his feet. Orton goes for one of the biggest chair shots I’ve ever seen, HBK ducks and reverses it into a Sweet Chin Music! The kick sends the chair crashing into Orton’s face! HBK plops down onto Orton.

Another referee does a hundred meter dash, I think he might have just broken that Bolt guys world record! He slides into the ring and makes the count.
