We start NWA Showcase with Kevin Nash (Color Commentator) & David Marquez (Announcer) talking up the first ever show. Randy Savage's music plays, and he comes down to ringside. As Savage starts to explain whats going on Don Callis & Jim Cornette come down to ringside. An argument starts up where Callis & Cornette explain to Savage if he does anything they disagree with it, he'll be fired. Savage dismisses both of them, and announces the first match ever on Showcase. A ten person battle royal for the vacant Cruiserweight Title. He also announced that whoever was the runner up to the battle royal would be getting a 1 on 1 match next week for a chance to win the title.

Mick Foley is backstage seen talking to Randy Savage. He asks him why Randy Savage wanted to talk to him. Randy Savage explained he needed some back up against these two clowns Cornette & Callis. Foley agrees to help Savage out. It seems a new friendship has formed. Randy further goes on to ask Mick who they should have fight in the first ever Main event. Foley thinks for a minute and throws out well how about Rob Van Dam? Savage likes the idea, but wonders who he would fight. Savage throws out Rhino. Foley agrees that's a pretty good pick. They both repeat Rob Van Dam Vs Rhino. In comes Samoa Joe who says Vs me Samoa Joe. Foley & Savage look at each other. Triple Threat? Yeah triple threat. Camera pans off as all three are shaking their heads in agreement.

Bob Backland is seen in a stairwell with Abyss. The odd pairing seems to have formed some weird friendship. Bob is talking to Abyss on how he could destroy all that is evil in NWA. Abyss seems confused, but starts to shake his head agreeing. Backland is seen laughing like crazy as they go to commercial.

James Mitchell appears in a dark area backstage talking to someone we can't make out. He explains that we have to take out Bob Backland, and get Abyss to join us in our mission. Mitchell further explained how he was Abyss's father, and that this had to be done for his own good. The mystery person was not shown. Leaving us all wondering who it was.

Beer Money Inc. is in the ring and starts to talk to the crowd. They state that they are the one and only contender for the Tag Titles, and everyone else might as well just pack it up. Music plays, and out comes LAX. Homicide gets on the mic, and states that if anything they were first in contention. The two continue to argue. Randy Savage & Mick Foley appear on the JumboTron. Savage states to break up the argument next week they will both be in action. But it's not for the titles just yet. Both tag teams seem visibly annoyed. Foley speaks stating that neither teams have earned the right for the title, and they might possibly get that chance soon. If they play their cards right. Camera goes straight to Savage's office as Callis & Cornette are both seen walking in. Callis complains about Mick Foley being involved. Savage states he's my assistant. Cornette questions their motivation to not give the two best tag teams a chance at the title. Callis states that they better have a good plan as far the tag division goes. Savage tells them not to worry, and that he had some good matches planned for them. Cornette, and Callis walk out in frustration.

Samoa Joe who seemed to be good friends with Rob Van Dam & Rhino shocked everyone by hitting Rhino with the chair to pick up the win. The first Showcase ends with Samoa Joe making a title motion with his hands around his waste.

Nice show Necro and im glad you had Kazarian get the win. He seems the best option at this point in time.

God thanks for the comment, and Millar as I go show by show I'll point out each guy. If there's someone you dont know though you can check the image description. Has there name right on that.

La Parka & La Parka Jr. stroll out to the ring. La Parka sporting his well known chair and La Parka Jr by his side. La Parka Jr. previously used La Parka's identity in AAA, but came along with La Parka to form this new bond. AAA has allowed NWA to use La Parka's name for a small fee. The SAT also freshly signed give the Maximos a chance in the big leagues. The match itself was pretty decent. The obvious chemistry between Jose and Joel is seen right away. La Parka and La Parka Junior haven't paired before so there are some clear signs of confusion. Despite the learning curve Death Squad as they want to now be called gets the victory. La Parka hits the La Parkinator on Jose Maximo, and gets the pin. Match was about 10 minutes, and the crowd popped for La Parka.

Both women currently are not well known to the general public. So first reaction it was hard to figure out the crowd reaction. The crowd quickly realized Mickie Knuckles was a heel by her hitting LuFisto with a chair in frustration towards the end of the match Both women put on a real good match, and both can clearly brawl. Both have a lot of potential in the future.

So Bischoff starts out letting the crowd know that he hates Vince McMahon, he doesn't really care what anyone thinks, and that he's hear for one thing only. To create the best night of wrestling on a weekly basis that's out there. He announces the first match of the night. Chris Hero Vs Mike Quackenbush. Bischoff drops the mic, and walks to the back.

Chris Hero is in the back with Francoise. She briefly asks him what it's going to take to beat Mike Quackenbush. Hero quickly tells her to get out of his way, and cuts a promo on Quackenbush calling him a waste of time, and the match in general a waste of his talent. Francoise visibly scared backs up a bit, as Hero continues his tirade.

Both wrestlers are known for their technical ability. And this match was pure entertainment for a true wrestling fan. Both Chris & Mike really blended well together. The crowd was getting into the match. Hero had the upper hand through out, as Quackenbush kept having small glimpses of making a comeback. But Chris Hero pulls out the victory by holding onto Quackenbush's tights on a quick roll up.

We pick up with Bischoff in the back on the phone. Bob Backland bursts into his office, and Bischoff tells him to get out. Backlund keeps talking, and Bischoff gets off his phone call. Bischoff wants to know why he's bothering him. As Backlund starts to talk about Abyss match tonight, Bischoff interrupts him asking who signed him. Backland totally ignoring Bischoff kept going on. Bischoff calls Backland a lunatic, and to get out of his office.

Neither Necro Butcher or Brain Damage have ever been in a major federation so the crowd wasn't too sure what to think of this match. It was a hardcore match, but a bit toned down from what both these wrestlers are used to. The match involved a lot of table use, ladder use, and chair use. Nothing more than that, so there wasn't anything too over the top going on. Both wrestlers proved they could brawl with the best of them, and in the end Necro Butcher picked up the win.

Eric Bischoff is seen walking in the back when Samoa Joe stops him. Bischoff right away tells him he doesn't feel like listening to him right now. Samoa Joe persists, and insists on being the first ever Heavyweight Champion. Bischoff never one to be told what to do again tells Samoa to leave him alone. Samoa keeps ranting. Bischoff interrupts Samoa and tells him you know what. I already have a tournament in the works for this title. So you are going to have to qualify for the tournament first. Samoa reminds him that he just won a triple threat match already on NWA Showcase, and he shouldn't have to qualify. Bischoff laughs, and says either wrestler in the qualifier or don't. He doesn't care. Bischoff goes on to tell Samoa he's meeting with Randy Savage later in the night to discuss who will get a chance to fight in the tournament. Samoa Joe walks out of the room in fury.

Previously Jack Evans was supposed to fight Mike Quackenbush, but plans changed, and Paul London was to face Evans. London familiar with big time federations quickly gained the upper hand on Evans. London seemed a step ahead of Evans at every point in this match. London picked up the win, and was clearly the better wrestler. Both had decent chemistry, and put on a good show. Evans seemed a bit rusty though.

Randy Savage shows up to the arena with his new partner in crime Mick Foley with him. As they enter Bischoff's office, Bischoff demands Foley leaves. Savage quickly explains he doesn't like Bischoff, and neither did Foley. Bischoff quickly explained to Savage how he's best friends with Hulk Hogan, and Savage can screw off. Foley quickly gets in the middle, and tells everyone to calm down. All three sit down, and Foley goes on to asking if they could get down to business. Both agreed to do so. They start discussing the heavyweight tournament. Bischoff comes up with the idea of having 8 wrestlers in, and 8 who would face them in qualifying matches. Foley & Savage both seem to like the idea. They continue discussing it, as the camera goes to the ring.

Colt Cobana is in the back with Lisa Moretti. He begins by flirting with her, and eventually shoots a bit on various members of the roster. He doesn't hold anything back, and continues to shoot on everyone, until Roderick Strong comes from behind him, and bumps him out of the way. Cobana keeps his cool in front of Lisa Moretti.

Both of these wrestlers match up well, but Colt starts out joking around with Strong. Strong clearly disliking it took the early advantage in the match. Towards the middle of the match Cobana picks up the pace, and took lead. Cobana eventually picks up the win, but with a little more effort than he thought he'd have to put into it.

The camera picks up on The Sandman in a random bar in New York. Hardly understanding a word he said the camera pans out, and who is sitting next to him? Al Snow. Snow who seems a lot more with it continues the conversation without missing a step. Even with Sandman not even being coherent. Al Snow starts to talk about the upcoming event in Philadelphia at the previously named ECW Arena. The crowd watching the video starts pop hardcore for both of these guys, and go crazy in excitement. Snow mentions how they'll be in New York as well Monday to raise some hell on Showcase.

Bischoff back in his office is seen again talking on the phone. He is explaining to the person he is talking to how disgruntled he is with the presents of hardcore wrestlers on his show, and that he's only dealing with it for now. Mick Foley overhears him, and Bishoff again quickly gets off the phone. Foley goes on to say he should watch what he says, and he really should give it a chance. Bischoff tells Foley to mind his business, and focus on the tournament.

The match starts out pretty shaky as Sabu is very rusty. He misses a few spots, and Abyss tries to carry the match. Sabu starts to pick up some momentum and gets comfortable with Abyss. Kevin Nash who's pulling double duty right now on color commentary for both Showcase & NWA Friday Night lets the fans know that the tournament qualifying matches would be announced online, and we'd know who's in them by Monday Night. Abyss takes the match to the outside, and it quickly starts to get crazy. Sabu pulls out a table, and opens it up. He puts Abyss on top of it, but Backlund distracts the ref. Giving Abyss time, Abyss takes advantage, and gives Sabu the Black Hole Slam to pick up the victory.
