After choosing not to resign to the WWE, John Layfield ventured into four new projects. The first three of which were disclosed to us in getting involved in his wife's company, announcing for MMA and contributing in some way to Danny Davis's Ohio Valley Wrestling. The fourth project actually happens to be a furtherence into helping out OVW. John Layfield as opened a company in which he will be doing one hour TV shows for weekly, no Pay Per View Deal as of yet, in which %50 of company funds will go to OVW. The original plan brought up to Danny Davis was to have Ohio Valley Wrestling undergo a name change and attempt to take that particular branch of the company to Television. Davis apparantly told Layfield that he opened the company in 1997 with all intentions for it to be a small regional company limited to Ohio and other close states. Davis did, however, gleefully accept JBL's offer of the money.
The two also came to an agreement where Ohio Valley Wrestling would be a Developmental Brand to Layfield's new project.
Since the main company will not be Ohio Valley Wrestling, though, JBL decided to adopt the company name of World Class Pro Wrestling.

John "Bradshaw" Layfield did an interview with a spots website which mainly focuses on wrestling shortly after the news about his new company broke out. Here is what he had to say.
Quote:
Matt Keewee: "John, just nine days ago you were working for the World Wrestling Entertainment, and now you are involved in a completely different wrestling company. What was your motivation?"
John Layfield: "I explained my intentions in full before I ever left the WWE. I wanted to help out at Meredith Whitney LLC, I wanted to get more involved with Layfield Energy and I wanted to help out Ohio Valley Wrestling. I have chosen to do so in both commentating for Viper Fight League, another company of Dave's, and starting World Class Pro Wrestling."
Matt Keewee: "So this is just a side project, you have to intentions on competing with any other wrestling orginization?"
John Layfield: "Well, I wouldn't say that."
Matt Keewee: "So are planning, in some way, on competing with the WWE?"
John Layfield: "Back story first, Matt. With Danny's intentions fully in mind, I asked him what exactly he wanted me to do with this project, if anything. He said to me, 'John, I think you should stick it to TNA'. WWE employed me for thirteen years, nine of them relatively unsuccessful, and they kept their confidence in me. I would never go head-to-head with WWE. Hell, I probably won't go head to head with TNA, but when I think 'stick it to TNA', I think about all of the lost opportunities they've had in ignoring what brought them to the dance."
Matt Keewee: "The X-Division?"
John Layfield: "Exactly."
Matt Keewee: "Are you saying want to establish an X-Division at your WCPW?"
John Layfield: "Rather the wrestlers who made the X-Division. Think about it, Matt. The X-Division was so popular because it was innovative...and not Russo innovative either. Taking their idea would defeat the purpose of sticking it to them, because I'd be rehashing, much like they are."
Matt Keewee: "So you're saying that you want to look into former TNA talent."
John Layfield: "I want to look into any talent that has talent."
Matt Keewee: "Alright, John, we about done. But one more thing...you gonna wrestle?"
John Layfield: "Matt, I'm promoter now, you know how that works. We'll have to wait and see."
John Layfield seemed very nice in the interview, and relatively witty. He mentioned, as he left the table that he was going to be hiring a roster over the next 4-7 days.
I've always been a fan of the Naturals so am obviousaly glad to see them make an appearance. If you plan on pushing them i suggest a manager as they have never gotten over without one. Good start and ill be reading.

Video Games have ruined my life, luckily, I still have two lifes left.
Team Canada (Petey Williams & Johnny Devine) - Petey Williams and Johnny Devine have been signed to a contract to WCPW, and will be joining the company wrestling as Team Canada. Johnny Devine will not have to be involved with WCPW as much as he was in TNA, so he can still do other projects as well.
Shannon Moore - Shannon Moore was signed a contract to WCPW recently and will be working under his prince of Punk gimmick. We're unsure whether this means POP TNA/ECW style or Smackdown! 08 style.
Sonjay Dutt - Sonjay Dutt has been signed to a contract to WCPW. There was talk about bringing in Muhammed Hassan and have Dutt play that character, but they feel as if it is cliche and would be better for him to be himself.
Paul London - Paul London has signed a contract with World Class Pro Wrestling. Talk within the company is that JBL is actually too high on him, but feels asthough the direction of his company cries for him to be there.
Dean Hill - Dean Hill has been signed to a contract to WCPW as requested by Danny Davis and will be doing Play-by-Play duties.
