John Layfield Presents the First Ever WCPW World Champion

The familiar bells of John Layfield's entrance are heard through out the arena as the crowd lets out a mixed reaction. Out comes Layfield, not in a limo, but out of the normal entrance ramp. He is wearing a suit and a tie.

Dean Hill - "Ladies and gentleman, this is the man who not only saved Ohio Valley Wrestling, but worked with Danny Davis to create the brain child of a promotion that is World Class Pro Wrestling!"

Dean Hill stands from his seat and applauds Layfield from behind the commentator booth.

Raven - "No doubt, this guy has had good intentions in mind for everyone back at OVW, but what is more is that he has made plans in maticulously bringing a revolution on this once proud industry. What now does he have to say to us, in light of this inaugral broadcast of WCPW, Alpha Omega?"

Layfield, now in the ring, brings the microphone to his face and adresses the crowd.

John Layfield: "Now, I know that a lot of people wanted to praise me for gracing my accolades upon Danny Davis once again, but no praise is needed. I did it out of the good of my heart, with the state of the wrestling world in mind. NOW, what I am out here for right now is to present you with the first ever world champion that Danny Davis personally chose. So without further adue....."

Layfield points to the top of the entrance ramp, awaiting the first ever champion to come out. After several seconds of waiting and building of anticipation, the words "ONE OF A KIND" blair throughout the arena.

Rob Van Dam walks out to the ring, and does his singature taunts along the way, with the crowd chanting his name along with him. He gets in the ring and grabs a mic from the official, beginning to talk.

Rob Van Dam: "Wow....this is...it's an hon..."

John Layfield: "What are you doing here?"

Rob Van Dam: "You called me out here John!"

Van Dam laughs.

John Layfield: "I called my champion out here damn it! Where is my champion!?"

Layfield is now angry, and as he gets frustrated, the mixed reactions turns into pure boos.

Rob Van Dam: "Danny didn't tell you? Oh, because he personally gave me a call and told me that he wanted me to represent him."

John Layfield: "I love Danny....I really do...but I have to question his choice in champions....."

Rob Van Dam: "Well you'll have plenty of time to do that, and plenty of time to choose an opponent for Mr......Wednesday Night...but until then, I'll head to the back and celebrate my first official day as champion."

John Layfield: "Official!?"

Rob Van Dam: "Yeah, official."

John Layfield: "No, let's get one thing clear! Danny Davis may have a rub on what goes on around here, and I do respect his wishes, but nothing is official until I make it official damn it! With that said.....you can be champion...if you win your Title match tonight to crown the first ever WCPW World Champion!"

Rob Van Dam: "And who will that be against?"

John Layfield: "It'll be againt.....it'll be against....it'll be against ME!"

John Layfield's music hits and he makes his way back up the ramp, grinning.

Karen Angle's Interviews

Karen Angle is standing backstage with Sonjay Dutt, ready to interview him about his match.

Karen Angle: "Sonjay, later on tonight you have a match with Shannon Moore in a Tournament to declare the first ever WCPW Hybrid Champion, what are your thoughts?"

Sonjay Dutt: "What are my thoughts Karens? WHAT ARE MY THOUGHTS!? Can I kiss you?"

Karen Angle: "Can you kiss me?"

Sonjay Dutt: "Can I kiss you?"

Karen Angle: "NO! That hardly has anything to do with...."

Sonjay Dutt: "It has everything to do with tonight, and YOU KNOW IT. You see tonight, I take a step to WCPW gold, take a step being a future Heavyweight Champion....AND TAKE A STEP TO WORLD DOMINATION! Wooooooooo!"

Sonjay Dutt points to the air and walks away as the camera pans to the arena.

Tomko vs. Scotty 2 Hotty

Quote:
Tomko makes his way to the ring, getting a mild reaction of mostly quiet cheers. He is very serious and doesn't interact with the fans much. Scotty 2 Hotty is out next, getting a very loud pop, and is contrarily very joyful and interacts with the fans quite a bit. As the two both get in the ring, the bell rings. They head in for a Tie Up to start but Tomko throws a kick to the gut of Hotty and follows it with a Clubby Blow. Tomko from there maticulously dominates Hotty, in a very slow and methodic pace. At one points hotty makes a quick return, lighting up Tomko as he tries to pick him up, but as Hotty tosses Tomko into the ropes, Tomko meets him coming back with a hard Boot to the Face. Tomko finishes Scotty 2 Hotty off with a Gordbuster innovated into a Cutter. Tomko pins Scotty to get the win in a very short match.
Dean Hill - "You know what he calls that move, Raven?"

Raven: "I actually have no clue....."

Dean Hill: "He calls that move "The 123".

Raven: "And it's no wonder why....."

Karen Angle's Interviews

Karen Angle is backstage with Paul London, ready to interview him.

Karen Angle: "Paul London, you're a guy who everybody is calling the AJ Styles of WCPW and tonight you have a chance to live up to tat hype when you face Sabu in a match and Tournament to crown the first every WCPW Hybrid Champion. How do you feel about this?"

Paul London: "Let's break it down, shall we? AJ Styles is a very respectable wrestler. Highly revered, highly accomplished. He's a great man, a great father, a great friend and a great champion. Well tonight I have a chance to be THAT great. You know what I say to that? Screw it. Screw being as good as AJ. Screw aiming to be him in a different promotion. No, no, no, TONIGHT, Paul London proves that he is BETTER than AJ Styles. Tonight.....Paul London proves that he is the best in the world."

Paul London, who is now hyping himself up, walks away very excited.

Sabu vs. Paul London

Quote:
Sabu's music hits and he makes his way to the ring to a very loud reaction, and points to the air when the bells rings. London comes out qith an equaly loud reactions, running to the ring and slapping the hands of the fans. The bell rings. The two pace around each other a little bit before going right after each other and trading punches. London gets the better of it and backs Sabu into the ropes, hitting a high elevates Wheelbarrow kicks on Sabu. London keeps Sabu matted for the opening minutes of the match with a Headlock. Eventually Sabu is able to get out and and knocks London down with a Shoulder Block. He follows it up with a Backslip Splash. This initiates London's airborn tactics and the two both start trading off very spotty manuevers on each other. London finally gets the better of it and starts after hitting and Dropsault heads to the top and hits a London Sault Press for the victory making Paul London the winner.

Karen Angle's Interviews

Karen Angle is backstage with Shannon Moore, ready to interview him on his match later tonight.

Karen Angle: "Well, Shannon, tonight you're involved with a Tournament to crown the first ever Hybrid Champion....your thoughts?"

Shannon Moore: "You know, Karen....it's simple. I'm the type to be casted away regardless of how I act or what I like....regardless of how great of a wrestler I am. Why? Simply because I dress the way I want to dress. Well tonight, I'm going to go out there and show the entire world how wrong they are...how the fact that my mohawk doesn't negate my wrestling ability. I'm gonna go out there, and win."

Moore shakes his head and walks away.

Sonjay Dutt vs. Shannon Moore

Quote:
Sonjay Dutt makes his way to the ring, with a good reaction from the fans, and is a little bit interactive with them. Moore, out next, gets quite a bit of boos, and stares condescendingly at them as he makes his way out. The bell rings. The two lock up, with Dutt locking in a Wrist Lock. Moore rolls and Kips Up, turning into his own Wrist Lock. Dutt does the same, getting the advantage again. This time he backs Moore up and uses his arm to pull him into a Side Headlock. Moore ducks under his arm and pulls him into a Wraparound Wristlock. He then flows into his own Side Headlock. This time, he steps over into a Side Headlock. Dutt eventually works is way into getting a Leg Vice on Moore. Moore picks Dutt up and tries to hit a Powerbomb, but Dutt Hurricranas out of it. The two trade Arm Drags, and then Clothelines, followed by them both hitting a Double Clotheline on each other, and then both Kipping Up at the same time. They go back at each other and Moore trips Dutt with a Drop Toe Hold, then follows back to Dutt's neck and continues working on it. The advantage stays with him for several minutes until whil holding in a Guillotine Choke, Dutt is able to drop himself down and his a Jaw Jammer on Moore. Dutt slowly works his way back to getting back in the game and when he does, he is able to Snap a DDT hard enough to lay Moore down long enough to hit a Hindu Press on him and pin him. Sonjay Dutt gets the win.

Karen Angle's Interviews

Karen Angle is backstage with Cult Cabana, about to interview him.

Karen Angle: "Cult, like the others, you as well have a match tonight in the Tournament, what are your thoughts?"

Cult Cabana looks at Karen, then the camera, back at Karen and then over into the distance and points.

Cult Cabana: "This is for you Sonjay!"

Cabana pulls Karen Angle into him and kisses her.

Cult Cabana: "WOW!"

Cabana shows a big smile and walks away as Angle giggles as well.

Out in the ring, the next match is ready to star in the mini tournament for the Tag Titles.

2nd Generation Hart Foundation vs. The Naturals

Quote:
The 2nd Generation Hart Foundation are down first, with a hot reaction from Teddy Hart's name and moreso of Jack Evan's dancing. The Naturals, out next, get a mild reaction of mostly cheers. The bell rings. Teddy Hart starts with Andy Douglas, as the two do a Test of Strength, measuring each other. Before they could see who won, Teddy kicks Douglas in the gut and followes it up wit a Snapmare and then a Front Flip Cutter to Douglas, who was in the sitting position. Hart begins stomping Douglas before tagging in Jack Evans who gets on the top rope and hits a Leg Drop to starts. Evans picks Douglas up and tosses him into the ropes and tries hitting a Dropkick wen he comes back, but Douglas stops in mid motion leaving Evans to hit the mat and giving Dougla the opportunity to Tag in Chase Stevens. Stevens is caught by an Arm Drag upon his entrance to te ring. As Evans tries to catch him with another, he powers out, ducks below the arm and snaps in a Firemans carry and begins to work on him from the ground. The ground work continues for a couple minutes, with te Naturals looking like they have it in the bag, but Evans is eventually able to make it to his feet and start throwing boes at Steven's gut, runs into the ropes and this time hits the Drop Kick. As he Tags Teddy Hart back in, Evans hits a Powerslam on Stevens and takes out Douglas, allowing Hart to hit the Hart Surgery 2.0 on Chase Stevens for the win.

Backstage Karen Angle is now with Elix Skipper about to interview him.

Karen Angle: "Well your opponent tonight, Cult Cabana seems.....excited about your match tonight, how do your feelings compare?"

Elix Skipper: "They don't, they contrast. While guys like Sonjay and Cabana are joking around, I'm training harder than I ever have Karen....which do you think will pay off?"

Skipper walks away is disgust.

Cult Cabana vs. Elix Skipper

Quote:
Cult Cabana is out first with a giant pop from the crowd as he slaps their hands on the way down. Elix Skipper makes his way out next to mostly boos, and he looks very serious on the way. The two lock up and try to see who gets the power advantage. Cabana easily pushes Skipper back. Skipper gets back up and the two go into the Test of Strength. Cabana once again gets the strength advantage and pulls skipper into him and snaps in a Bridging Suplex. Still holding the Test of Strength, they roll back over and stand. This time Elix Skipper is able to snap in his own Bridging Suplex. They roll and stand again, and Skipper jumps and kicks one of Cabana's arms away, then running to the top of the Turnbuckle and flipping, for an Arm drag of sorts. Skipper runs at Cabana but Cabana trips him and tries for a pin. As Skipper kicks out, Cabana gets up but only to be tripped back down by Skipper who tries his own pin to to no avail. They trade of holds and blows near the ground for a couple minutes beforeCabana tries to go to the Top Turnbuckle. Skipper runs into the ropes and causes Cabana to land in nomans land. Skipper jumps up to the opposing Turnbuckle and walks across the ropes, hitting a Hurricanrana on Cabana for the pin. This gives Skipper the win.

Elijah Burke vs. ????

Elijah Burke's music hits and he makes his way to the ring, cockily, with a mixed reaction. Burke is laughs at Cabana as they pass each other, and shows little respect for him. As he gets in the ring has recieves a microphone for a staff members and begins to talk.

Elijah Burke: "You know, John Layfield offered me a place in the Tournament that is taking place tonight for the Hybrid Title when I signed a contract....but I had no choice bu to refuse. You see, while every other star in this orginization is chasing after second best, I strive to be THE best. Knowing that a World Title shot for me isn't in the agenda, though, I decided to take matters into my own hands. So every week until I get a Title shot, I will call out a former World Champion and kick the crap out of whoever comes out! So who is the first to come!?"

After a couple moments hesitation, unfamilar music hits and out comes Sid Vicious to the shock and dismay of Elijah Burke. The crowd goes nuts as Sid makes his way to the ring, ready to wrestle Burke.

Quote:
Elijah Burke is trepid as Vicious gets in the ring. Burke goes after him but Vicious just punches him straight to the ground. In a very short match, Sid dominates Burke and hits a Chokeslam on him for what looks like it gcould be the win, but burke gets his feet on the ropes and then rollls out of the ring. Sid goes out and chases Burke but as the referee gets to the 9 count Burke runs back in but Sid doesn't make it, giving Elijah Burke the win.

Scott D'Amore Talks

Backstage, Scott D'Amore is standing with Team Canada of Johnny Devine and Petey Williams ready to talk.

Scott D'Amore: "It's been TOO LONG since the pride of Canada was back together, but tonight, what was once a great entity reunites. Ladies and gentleman, Team Canada is naturally better than any other team. It's in our heritage! It's in our blood! We won't lose to someone as sorry as the Americans!"

All of Team Canada starts laughing as the screen goes back to the live audience.

The Rock & Rave Infection vs. Team Canada

Quote:
Out first comes The Rock & Rave Infection who gets a mild and mixed reaction as they are about their normal antics. Next out comes Team Canada who gets a flurry of boos while waving the Canadian Flag across the arena. The bell rings and Johnny Devine starts with Lance Rock. John Devine tries to start by punching Rock but he isn't effected. Lance Rock has the obvious size advantage as he dominates Devine through out the match, hitting most Boots to the Face and high impact slow moves such as Body Slams and Suplexes. Devine is able to weisel his way to his partner and tag him, bringing in Petey William. Wlliams gets a lot of offense upon getting i nthe ring, mostly through punches. But it isn't long before Rock shakes him off and starts dominating him the same way he was with Devine. After Rock hits another Boot to the Face on Devine, Jimmy Rave out of nowhere runs into the ring and hits Lance Rock with a chair. The ref, not knowing what to do, allows Petey Williams to hit a Canadian Destroyer for the pin and win.
As Rock lay in the middle of the ring, Jimmy Rave gets back in, now holding a chair. He begins to wail the steele across the back of Rock as he screams in pain. When he stops, he simply stares coldly at him before slowly getting out of the ring and heading up the ramp.

World Class Pro Wrestling World Championship: John Layfield vs. Rob Van Dam

Dean Hill: "What a night it has been already, ladies and gentleman, but up next is the highlight of our action packed night!"

Raven: "That's right, see up next, for the World Class Pro Wrestling World Heavyweight Title, it will be Rob Van Dam taking out OUR CHAIRMAN John Layfield!"

Quote:
John Layfield's music hits, and this time he comes out in the limo. He gets the biggest reaction of boos for the night. Layfield signals his trademark bullhorns, whichs pipes the fans even more. He is followed by Van Dam, who in fact, gets the biggest reaction of cheers throgh out the night. For the second time tonight, Van Dam points to himself in his traditional style as the fans join him in saying his name. As they both get into the ring, the bell rings. They slowly pace each other before finally running at each other and meeting in the middle of the ring with punches at the same time. After a couple seconds of a standing up close brawl, the referee pulls them apart. They go back at each other and this time they are trading off punches, rather than throwing them randomly. The fans are chanting "BOO" as Layfield hits and "YAYY" as Van Dam hits. Finally the ref breaks them up again. They goes into a Collar & Elbow Tie Up, with JBL backing Van Dam into the corner and hitting huge chop across Van Dam's chest. The ref backs Layfield out again, allowing Van Dam to go in and hit a kick to his gut. He then runs into the ropes and flips over him, grabbing him from behind and snapping in a Back Body Drop. Van Dam hits some of his signature moves with Layfield vulnerable, like Superstar Press. Van Dam keeps dominance through out the rest of the match, as it's obvious that he is younger, quicker and more athletic. Van Dam aims to get a chair, though, as it looks like he wants to hit the Van Daminator, but the referee isn't about to allow that and takes the chair from him. As the ref is distracted with Van Dam, though, Tomko runs down and gives Layfield what looks like Brass Knuckles. When Van Dam turns around Layfield sends a huge punch right across his head, stands him up and hits a Clotheline From Hell to become the first ever WCPW World Heavyweight Champion!
As Layfield's music hits and he stands, Tomko gets in the ring and celebrates with him.

Dean Hill: "WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!?"

Raven: "That was awesome, Dean, just awesome!"

Dean Hill: "So wait, in what was supposed to be a historic night, and a historic match....John Layfield, the chairman of this company cheats to become the first ever World Champion!?"

Raven: "Bask in the greatness.....go ahead...bask!"

Dean Hill: "Ladies and gentleman, you saw it, John Layfield is our World Champion. Come back next week see the fallout, the match to crown the first ever Tag Champions and the continuation of the Hybrid Tournament....."

The show goes off air.

Re: World Class Pro Wrestling

Pretty good show man. I'm glad that JBL is champion although it would have been cool if RVD became champion. All the results are satisfying and overall good. Glad Team Canada went over Rock & Rave Infection same with Hart Foundation over The Naturals. Like the organization and whatnot. Very glad that Burke beat Sid, count out but still. I wish you didn't have Sid in this but eh, it's your choice. Anyways, keep up the good work!

Re: World Class Pro Wrestling

Ok I know you are one of the big guys on campus around here and I know this is an hour long show, but whats with the promos? I mean your matches are great and solid length for an hour show, but all of your promos are so short and they barely push the point you're trying to get at. Keep up the good work and I'll tune in next week for sure.
Predictions:
Paul London Wins.
Tomko Wins.
Former World Champion beats Burke.
I'm gonig to go out on a limb and says Team Canada for the win!

Re: World Class Pro Wrestling

So far, I like your show best out of everybodies shows I've read as you put a good focus on storyline and flowing their development throughout your shows.

JBL becoming champion is a bit unexpected. Although it makes sense as you have a lot more established guys who are known faces rather than heels. Depending on what direction you decide to go with JBL as champion I think it'd be cool to see him maybe build up a stable (you kinda got that started with Tomko's involvement) so that RVD would have guys to feud with over a few PPVs in order to slowly build up RVD facing JBL once again and hopefully taking the title from him.

One guy I'd really like to see you utilize is Sonjay Dutt. I think his Guru (or whatever it was called) gimmick during his feud with Lethal had potential which was never quite realised. The thing is, he looks to be a face judging by your first show, which I find a bit dissapoint as I see his gimmick as having Main Event potential.

With JBL as champion, and Elijah cutting his promo about the World Belt I could def. see Elijah as a face down the line after his feud with Sid concludes. Maybe even as the guy who finally dethrones JBL after the RVD feud (assuming RVD doesn't take the title from JBL.) One thing I did not like at all was Elijah putting over the World Championship at the expense of the Hybrid belt. It would have been just as easy to have Elijah put over the World Belt and his journey to become World Champion without putting down the Hybrid belt and in turn hurting its image. One thing I'm going to predict now, RVD feuds with JBL while you build up Elijah, RVD takes the belt from JBL and Elijah feuds with him. I could be way off.....

On the topic of Sid, I'm not really a fan and as a result am not interested in him in your promotion. I think if you were looking for a big face for the main event scene there are some much more interesting guys who aren't signed to WWE or TNA at the moment who could have taken that place(Giant Bernard aka A Train?). Although, I'm gonna give you major props. Your promotion has me hooked because it's something new and something realistic. You're using all free agents as opposed to doing what most people do by combining the WWE/TNA/ROH Main Event and having an unrealistic and unbalanced roster as a result.

I look forward to your next show, stick with this because out of what I've read in the BTB Section so far (not counting mine.....lulz just kidding) I think your thread is the most intriguing and so far well done. Most people tend to forget that the average reading doesn't want to read 1000 word text matches, BTB is more about storylines and being able to script a good flow to your shows and use matches to push storylines. You tend to do that well. Keep it up.

It's an hour long three out of four weeks (Respect). Every 4th week there is a "Free-Per-View" which is uninterrupted by commercials. So the segments on the FPV's are just to get from segment to segment. It started with a FPV (Alpha Omega.)

Re: World Class Pro Wrestling

Had to expect JBL would become a bit power hungry and jealous at one point, who knew it would be the first show though lol. Good show overall, and I have to admit that I was a tad bit shaky on the roster, even if you made some good signings here or there. This definitely established some of those guys though. Really disappointed that Cabana lost, but I'm betting we'll be hearing from him next week.
