TNA iMPACT! Preview
For April 23rd 2009

On iMPACT! This week the TNA Legends Champion will once again put his title on the line in the main even as AJ Styles defends against another Legend who currently resides in TNA. Big Poppa Pump of the Main Event Mafia will try and do what Booker T failed to do, beat Styles and bring the title back to the Mafia.

Christopher Daniels made his return to TNA at Lockdown but wasn’t able to get the win for his team. He’ll be looking to make up for that by hitting the Mafia with another body blow instead as he goes one on one with Booker T for the Fallen Angel’s first iMPACT! Match in nearly 17 Months.

Kazarian was another returning superstar at Lockdown and he will also be in action this week on iMPACT! As he goes up against a former X-Division Champion in Sheik Abdul Bashir. Jimmy Rave will face Kazarian for the title at Sacrifice so he is bound to be paying close attention.

We will also have the TNA Knockouts in action, a four corners X-Division match and Lethal Consequences facing off against Team 3D. With Kurt Angle rumoured to be in attendance, this will be a show you don’t want to miss out on.

Word coming out of TNA is that they have finally settled on the mystery investor and are ready to start building towards her debut. With TNA only signing Jenna Morasca in recent times she seems the most likely. Karen Angle was leading until recently, but is now no longer the favourite as she hasn’t even been to Florida in recent weeks. The decision has been made so it cuts the possibilities to Morasca, Angle or someone already on the TNA Roster as no-one else has been signed.

April 23rd 2009

IMPACT! Opens this week with the former leader of the Main Event Mafia, Kurt Angle, on his way to the ring. Angle is noticeably limping following his match against Jeff Jarrett at Lockdown. Angle gingerly climbs into the ring and takes a mic. Angle says Jarrett gave him the toughest match he has had in quite some time at Lockdown. Angle didn’t think Jarrett still had that much in him. Angle challenges Jarrett to one more match in the future as soon as both men are recovered. Angle says nothing was settled at Lockdown, and he isn’t going to leave it unfinished. Angle drops the mic as he knows Jarrett isn’t in the arena tonight and heads backstage.

Christopher Daniels

The Fallen Angel made his long awaited return to TNA at Lockdown but wasn’t able to come out victorious. Daniels looked to make things right tonight as he bids to hit the Mafia with a stiff shot to daze them following Styles victory last week. The Mafia may be rocking and Booker needs a win to steady the ship. Daniels had other ideas as took everything Booker had and came back for more. Daniels kicked out of the Book End and avoided the Axe Kick. Daniels hit the Best Moonsault Ever before following up with the Last Rites for the three count.

Result: Christopher Daniels via Pinfall.

The Fallen Angel is well and truly back in TNA and he is looking to help dispose of the Mafia. Based on tonight’s performance, it’ll be hard to bet against him.

Backstage to the Beautiful People with Lauren. Angelina Love says they have been humiliated by the Governor over the past few months and will not rest until she is gone from TNA forever. Taylor Wilde steps in and tells the Beautiful People to either put up, or shut up as she for one is sick of hearing them talk about what they will never do. Velvet Sky takes exception to these comments and slaps Taylor Wilde. Taylor in turn spears Sky but is quickly outnumbered and bails out before Love and Rayne can get many shots in.

Lethal Consequences

Two teams looking to get title shots against Beer Money Inc go at it in our second match up of the evening. Lethal Consequences got off to a good start last week then they beat Suicide and Shark Boy. Team 3D meanwhile have only recently dropped out of the title picture and they want to get straight back into it. With Team 3D in good form and keeping Creed isolated things were looking good for the 21 time tag team champions. That is until L.A.X. made their way to ringside. Brother Ray decided to fight them off which meant Brother Devon lost his focuses and allowed Creed to tag in Lethal. Devon managed to get his head back in the game but Hernandez soon changed that when he tripped Devon as he went off the ropes. Lethal hit the Lethal Combination to pick up the three count.

Result: Lethal Consequences via Pinfall.

Hernandez was quickly into the ring after the bell to get in a few more shots on Brother Devon before TNA Security separated the two teams.

Backstage we see Kevin Nash and Matt Morgan deep in conversation but just far enough away so that we cant hear what is being said.

Delirious

Four men looking to push up the card in TNA gave it everything they had as they tried to get themselves noticed for a future title match. Delirious looked to score the surprise win when he hit Shadows over Hell on Chase Stevens. Suicide broke the count. Suicide hit the D.O.A. on Chase Stevens who was getting on the wrong end of everything tonight but Delirious this time broke the count. Eric Young would take the opportunity to hit a Double Death valley Driver on Delirious and Suicide before picking up the Pinfall on Suicide.

Result: Eric Young via Pinfall.

Backstage and Brutus Magnus is standing by with Lauren. Magnus cuts a promo in which he states his belief that TNA are refusing to let him shine and thus he has resorted to open challenges just to wrestle in TNA. Magnus issues another challenge for Sacrifice against any wrestler alive today.

Taylor Wilde

Following the altercation earlier tonight between Taylor and The Beautiful People, this match has taken a much more competitive approach as Taylor basically called The Beautiful People out and in effect embarrassed them. Rayne tried to get some revenge but Taylor held out and took control when she got the chance. Taylor went on to hit the German Suplex before following up with a Spinning DDT that Mike Tenay informed is called Drive you Wilde. Taylor picked up the win as a result.

Result: Taylor Wilde def Madison Rayne via Pinfall.

Velvet Sky and Angelina Love were not happy with the result and decided to take some revenge themselves. Love hit the Lights Out but The Governor ran in to save Taylor from getting hurt any further.

Sheik Abdul Bashir

Kazarian

Kazarian picked up the win in the Steel Asylum at Lockdown, now he’s looking to gather momentum as he heads towards his title match with X-Division Champion Jimmy Rave. Bashir meanwhile is just looking to win and get himself started. Bashir had the momentum when he went for the W.M.D. but Kazarian held onto the middle rope meaning Bashir sent himself back first to the mat. Kazarian crouched in the corner and hit the recovering Bashir with a Pump Kick to pick up the three count.

Result: Kazarian via Pinfall.

After the match, Kazarian took the mic and told Alex Shelley that he can do all the crying he wants, he isn’t getting a title shot before Kazarian gets his own. Kazarian tells Shelley he simply wasn’t good enough to get the job done. Kazarian says Shelley had his chance, but he blew it.

Matt Morgan and Kevin Nash are next to the ring as Morgan has something to say. Morgan doesn’t waste time and gets to the point. He got the win at Lethal Lockdown and Sting didn’t even say thank you afterwards. Morgan says that was a blatant lack of respect and it showed Morgan that Sting is only looking out for himself. Morgan demands that Sting give him a title match as a thank you for saving his ass at Lockdown. Morgan tells Sting that he wants an answer by next week, or he’ll have to get one himself. Kevin Nash seems to be firmly behind Morgan in this one.

AJ Styles ©

Steiner used his vast power advantage against the champion but Styles simply refused to stay down and kept getting back up much to the annoyance of Steiner. Steiner hit the Steiner line but missed the follow up elbow drop as Styles recovered quickly. With Steiner hurting Styles went on the offence big time and ended up hitting the Styles Clash to pick up the three count and retain his title for the second week running.

Result: AJ Styles Retains via Pinfall.

Styles celebrates dealing another body blow to the resistance of the Main Event Mafia as they are definitely on the ropes only two weeks after emerging victorious from Lethal Lockdown.

Re: TNA: Under new Management

You'll never see Suicide involved with both Kazarian and Daniels at the same time. But he may interact with either at seperate times. Basically, both men are playing him at different times.

Kip James appears to be ready to call it a day and officially retire from wrestling. The issue has been constantly brought up in recent weeks as Kip James just disappeared from TNA Programming recently. Kip had a meeting with Jeff Jarrett to find out where his future lies. Apparently he was offered the role of a backstage agent if he wishes to stay with the company but he wont be used on TV much if at all in future. Jacqueline has been offered the same deal and we hear she has accepted it and will start working with the TNA Knockouts to improve them in the ring.

Despite reports to the contrary, Jim Cornette is not done with TNA at all. He still has nearly two years to run on his contract. He simply won’t be an on screen character anymore. Someone in TNA finally realised that they don’t need four authority figures on screen. Cornette was the first to go. Mick Foley is expected to be next as the mystery investor has bought up his shares. L.A.X. is expected to expose this on TV to continue the feud between themselves and Foley. That will leave Jeff Jarrett and Traci Brooks in charge.

The World X Cup appears to be on at this point in time. TNA have come to an agreement with NJPW, CMLL aswell as BCW to share the cost and locations. TNA will only show the Final of the tournament live on TV but the rest will be available to view on their website. The rest of the matches will take place at NJPW, CMLL and BCW shows. This has drastically cut the list of problems down as work permits are no longer an issue. BCW will likely host the early rounds, CMLL the middle rounds and NJPW the Semi finals. Team Mexico and Team Canada will contain two TNA stars each while Team Japan will contain just the one. The tournament is expected to be officially announced in the coming days and the teams should be soon after.

Tyler Black is the latest name to pop up in TNA talent scout meetings.

Traci Brooks? Eh, not as astounding as I thought but I guess it could still be good.

Re: TNA: Under new Management

I've read through the first page, and I must say I'm real impressed with your format, storylines, and indepth nature to your TNA. Really love how this is turning out so far. Going to read page 2 tomorrow, and have full review.

TNA iMPACT! Preview
For April 30th 2009

The main event on iMPACT! This week sees the TNA Frontline looking to deliver another body blow to the Mafia as former two time TNA World Tag Team Champions reunite. AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels will be facing Booker T and Scott Steiner in tag team action.

Also on iMPACT! The TNA World Tag Team Champions Beer Money Inc will be in non title action as they face the young up and coming team of Lethal Consequences. Lethal Consequences have made it their mission to become champions again. A win on iMPACT! Would put them right into the title picture again.

Last week on IMPACT! Taylor Wilde got the victory over Madison Rayne of Mi Pi Sexy. This week she looks to do the same against Angelina Love in singles actions. Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne are sure to be on hand to do everything they can to prevent Taylor getting another victory over them.

The TNA World Champion Sting will be in attendance and will he answer the challenge of Matt Morgan from last week? Morgan has Kevin Nash in his corner and even demanded a one on one title match against Sting at Sacrifice. Sting isn’t one to back down from a fight but does he feel Morgan has earned a title shot yet? Find out on Thursday.

All this and Jimmy Rave, Kazarian, Hernandez and more this Thursday on Spike TV for TNA iMPACT!

It was a very good weekend for TNA as several TNA stars captured championship gold across the world. On Friday night in Mexico, Homicide and Hernandez the L.A.X. took on and defeated La Sombra and Volador Junior to claim the CMLL World tag team championships. On Saturday night back in America, the most dominant force in TNA claimed another title for her resume as Awesome Kong defeated MsChif to become only the third ever SHIMMER champion. MsChif had held the belt for over a year before Kong dethroned her. On the same night in Japan, Tiger Mask IV lost his IWGP/NJPW Junior Heavyweight Championship to TNA’s Jay Lethal. The title victory for Lethal means that three out of four NJPW titles are currently held by TNA talent. Team 3D hold the IWGP Tag Team Championships while The Motor City Machine Guns hold the IWGP Junior Tag Team Championships. Tanahashi is the only non TNA title holder in the company now. And finally on Sunday night, TNA X-Division champion Jimmy Rave risked it all when he competed in a champion vs. champion match for Combat Zone Wrestling. Jimmy Rave faced then CZW Junior Heavyweight Champion Ryan McBride to make himself a double champion. Congratulations go out to all the TNA talent that achieved more success over the weekend.
