TNA LOCKDOWN
Live, April 12th 2009

TNA Lockdown opens with a huge pyro display live from Philadelphia, PA. As the camera pans around the rabid live crowd we see the six sides of steel already has a roof on it meaning the Steel Asylum is opening the show. Mike Tenay welcomes up to the show before briefly telling us of a change in the rules to the Steel Asylum. Instead of all ten men starting the match, they will enter at two minute intervals. Escape cannot be attempted until everyman is inside the cage.

Steel Asylum
Time Limit: None
Referee: Rudy Charles and Mark Johnson

Entry Number 1

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Chris Sabin

Chris Sabin is introduced as unlucky number one meaning he will have to survive the entire match just to get a chance at winning.

Entry Number 2

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Consequences Creed

Consequences Creed is introduced as the second man in the match. Sabin and Creed battled each other for the two minutes with neither man gaining much of an advantage.

Entry Number 3

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Sheik Abdul Bashir

Quite possibly the most unpopular man in TNA makes his way to the ring as the third man. Sabin and Creed put their differences aside to work on Bashir.

Entry Number 4

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Eric Young

One of the most popular men in TNA was next as Showtime went after Sabin to allow Creed and Bashir to hook up.

Entry Number 5

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Chase Stevens

Making his return to TNA next was “The Natural” Chase Stevens. A former tag team champion looking to make a name for himself as a singles wrestler. During this time, Chris Sabin connected with the Cradle Shock on Eric Young.

Entry Number 6

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Shark Boy

The cult favourite was next and made himself instantly more popular with a Chummer on Bashir.

Entry Number 7

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Doug Williams

The man from England was next in. Williams had been working with Bashir in recent weeks showed some loyalty by helping Bashir several times.

Entry Number 8

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Suicide

The impressive daredevil made his entrance next as he came from the entrance ramp instead of his usual high wire entrance. Suicide hit Stevens with the Suicide Solution before hitting the D.O.A. on Doug Williams.

Entry Number 9

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Kiyoshi

Number nine in was Kiyoshi from Japan. Kiyoshi recently pushed TNA X-Division Champion Jimmy Rave to the limit so a good entry here makes him an automatic favourite. Young hits Creed with the Death valley Driver before number ten is introduced.

Entry Number 10

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Kazarian

The only man in the match who has been in this before made a surprising return from injury as the tenth and final man inside the Asylum. As soon as Kazarian entered the ring he had the task of chasing down Chris Sabin who had begun climbing as soon as Kazarian was introduced. Kazarian just about kept the match going as Sabin was inches away from winning.

Creed would go on to hit Sabin with the Creed-D-T while Kazarian announced his return by hitting public enemy number one Bashir with the Wave of the Future. A tower of doom followed which left Kazarian and Suicide as the only two men left standing. Suicide looked for the D.O.A. but Kazarian blocked it and hit a Pump Kick before a second Wave of the Future Kazarian took his opening and climbed to victory before Kiyoshi could stop him.

Result: Kazarian via Escape.

Kazarian stands atop the Steel Asylum and celebrates becoming the number one Contender for the X-Division Championship in his first match back from injury. Kazarian has his sights set on either Jimmy Rave or Alex Shelley.

Roxxi

Time Limit: 30 Minutes
Referee: Shane Sewell

Roxxi finally got her one on one title match and the situation could not have been more suited to her. Raisha Saeed couldn’t interfere if she wanted to and Roxxi isn’t known as the Hardcore Knockout for nothing as Awesome Kong soon found out. For the first time since regaining her title in October Kong looked in real trouble, Roxxi exploited the cage and exploited it well. Kong ended up getting her head smashed into it several times as Roxxi took it to the champion. Despite all her offence, Kong simply would not stay down. Getting frustrated at being unable to pin Kong, Roxxi decided for the escape option. Roxxi climbed the cage but Kong caught her. Kong climbed to the second rope and pulled Roxxi back into the ring with a vicious Awesome Bomb from the second rope. Roxxi didn’t see it coming and thus has no chance of kicking out.

Result: Awesome Kong retains via Pinfall.

Brutus Magnus was next to the ring as he looks to find an opponent in his open challenge. Magnus was pissed off at being overlooked and decided to make a match himself. Magnus cut a promo in the ring stating that he is willing to take on anyone, at anytime, in a bid to prove to TNA Management, that he is the real deal. Magnus’ opponent tonight comes to us from the Edge of Sanity.

Delirious

Time Limit: 15 Minutes
Referee: Earl Hebner

Magnus didn’t quite seem to know what to make of the bizarre Delirious who remained motionless in the corner until the bell rang. Magnus got out of the ring as fast as he could as Delirious went insane. Magnus may be regretting his decision if this is what it brings. Once Magnus got into the ring he was able to overpower Delirious and keep him on the mat. Magnus used several variations of the backbreaker before putting a quick end to Delirious with the Tormentum.

Result: Brutus Magnus via Pinfall.

We go backstage now where the War Machine Rhino has just arrived at the arena. Rhino steps out of his car and heads for the arena when he is cut off by Sting. Sting asks for a moment of Rhino’s time to distract him from Scott Steiner coming up behind him. Steiner smacks a lead pipe across the back of Rhino to floor him. Steiner then takes aim and cracks the pipe across the head of Rhino to knock him out cold. Sting steps over Rhino and walks into the arena with Scott Steiner having performed a hit. Sting is heard saying one down, three to go.

Back at ringside Mike Tenay condemns the actions of Sting while Don West argues he is doing what is needed to win tonight. West says he isn’t the champion for nothing.

Latin American Xchange

Time Limit: 45 Minutes
Referee: Andrew Thomas

The L.A.X. have been a thorn in the side of both of these teams in recent weeks and it was somewhat of a surprise that Beer Money and Team 3D worked together to take L.A.X. out of the match. Team 3D hit Hernandez with a 3D while Beer Money used the Beer Money Suplex on the ramp to take out Homicide. The alliance turned to dust immediately following the 3D as Beer Money took the upper hand over Team 3D. Storm and Roode isolated Brother Devon and worked him over in their corner of the ring as Brother Ray looked on helplessly. Hernandez eventually recovered and he was not in a good mood. Hernandez brought a steel chair into the ring and used it to take out all four of his opponents. Hernandez then dropped the chair and picked on James Storm. Hernandez set up for a Border Toss but Mick Foley coming down the ramp made Hernandez change his mind. Hernandez went to meet Foley and finish the job on the outside. James Storm meanwhile decided to cover Brother Ray and pick up the three count after Hernandez did the work. A win is a win.

Result: Beer Money Inc retain via Pinfall.

Hernandez doesn’t seem to realise or even care that he lost the match as he is too busy trying to throw Foley off the stage. TNA Security move in and save Foley before Hernandez can do the damage. Homicide gets a cheap shot in from behind with the Slap Jack once again laying out Mick Foley. L.A.X. are escorted from the arena as Beer Money celebrate in the ring.

Queen of the Cage Match
Time Limit: None
Referee: Shane Sewell and Mark Johnson

Much like in the Steel Asylum, the wrestlers in the following contest will enter at two minute intervals. No Knockout can enter the cage until all ten are in the match. The first two to make it into the ring will then face off in a singles match to determine the challenger for Awesome Kong’s title.

Entry Number 1

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

ODB

Fan favourite ODB was unlucky enough to be the first entrant for the match.

Entry Number 2

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Madison Rayne

The newest member of the Beautiful People, Madison Rayne, was the second knockout in the match meaning she and ODB started.

Entry Number 3

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Sojourner Bolt

Former member of the Kongtourage Sojourner Bolt was looking to get herself back into the title picture with a win here tonight. She came close to beating Kong at Destination X but her inexperience let her down.

Entry Number 4

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Raisha Saeed

The one person who Kong trusts came in at number four and went right for Sojourner Bolt. Considering the break up of the Kongtourage, its not a surprise Saeed doesn’t want Bolt anywhere near winning.

Entry Number 5

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Sarah Stock

Sarah Stock finally made her TNA debut after signing several months ago. Stock takes the fight to Bolt as she appears to be helping Saeed.

Entry Number 6

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Velvet Sky

Another member of the Beautiful people, this time Velvet Sky, was next into the action. Sky immediately went to the aid of Madison Rayne who was getting pounded on by ODB.

Entry Number 7

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Rhaka Khan

Rhaka Khan was next in as she made it clear who she was aligned with as she wasted no time in attacking Saeed.

Entry Number 8

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Taylor Wilde

The upset Queen Taylor Wilde was number eight in as she levelled the sides up for ODB against the Beautiful people.

Entry Number 9

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Christy Hemme

Another surprise return saw Christy Hemme return to action after having neck surgery several months ago. Hemme didn’t align with anyone and instead hit anything that moved.

Entry Number 10

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Angelina Love

Angelina Love of the Beautiful People got the best draw as she made her way to the ring and immediately tried to enter the cage. Taylor Wilde has other ideas and stopped it. Sarah Stock was able to get away from Sojourner Bolt long enough to get a head start and make her way inside the cage. One in, one more needed. Khan, Saeed and Bolt fought amongst themselves on the ramp way as Taylor and ODB took it to the three members of the Beautiful People. Left alone, Hemme decided to climb the cage and get the singles match.

Stock caught Hemme coming in and used her power advantage to dominate the returning Knockout. Sarah Stock came close several times but the resilient Hemme refused to stay down. Stock looked to end the match with an underhook power bomb but Hemme fought out and was able to connect with a Tornado DDT. Hemme climbed the ropes and announced her return with the Flying Fire crotch Guillotine to beat Sarah Stock and pick up where she left off as the number one contender.

Result: Christy Hemme via Pinfall.

Backstage we see Jay Lethal warming up for his match later tonight when Consequences Creed comes up to him. Creed makes small talk before offering himself as the fourth man for Lethal Lockdown seeing as Rhino is now in the hospital. Lethal thanks Creed for the offer but tells him they already found a fourth man. Creed questions who it is but Lethal isn’t saying.

Alex Shelley
vs.

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Jimmy Rave ©

Time Limit: 30 Minutes
Referee: Rudy Charles

Alex Shelley has become obsessed with reclaiming the X-Division title and tonight he gets an opportunity to do just that. The past several weeks have seen Shelley try and soften up the champion before the match and judging by the balance, it worked. Shelley was one step ahead of Rave with nearly everything the champion tried. Rave tried to Rock the World but Shelley countered with a roll up that nearly stole the title. Shelley would have better luck with his signature move as he hit the Sliced Bread but Rave kicked out knowing his title was slipping away. Shelley attempted the Shell Shock but Rave fought it off. A punching match followed which gave Rave the upper hand. After three consecutive right hands Rave took Shelley down hard with a Spike DDT. Eager to follow up Rave pulled Shelley back up and Rocked his World to keep the gold.

Result: Jimmy Rave retains via Pinfall.

A worn out Jimmy Rave didn’t even get to celebrate his victory as Chris Sabin hit the ring. Sabin took Rave out with the Cradle Shock as Alex Shelley recovered. Shelley and Sabin both took steel chairs in hand and looked to do some serious damage to the champion. Luckily for Rave, the number one contender, Kazarian, decided to make the save to keep his opponent in one piece, presumably so that he gets his title match soon.

Jeff Jarrett

Time Limit: 45 Minutes
Referee: Earl Hebner

Despite Jarrett’s protests of being retired he looked in great shape and was really up for a fight with Angle. Both men gave it everything they had as they each looked to end the other’s career. Jarrett went old school and worked the knee of Angle in preparation for the Figure Four later on. Angle meanwhile, worked over the ankle for obvious reasons. With both men being so focused on just hurting the other, several near submissions occurred but very few pin attempts. Of the few pin attempts, Jarrett seemed to have the upper hand as he almost got the three with a Stroke. Angle was in trouble and used the cage as a friend to bust Jarrett open before falling victim to another Stroke. Jarrett didn’t pin Angle but instead slapped on the Figure Four in the middle of the ring. Angle struggled and did everything he could to try and break I but Jarrett held firm. Angle dug down deep and started to twist the ankle of Jarrett. Jarrett held on to the figure four but Angle held on to the Ankle lock causing both men immense pain. Both men refused to submit as the pain barrier was well and truly shattered by now. Angle gave one big twist as Jarrett screamed in agony. Jarrett slammed himself back onto the mat causing Angle to release the hold. Jarrett gave one big effort and looked to have won the match as the bell rang to signal the end.

Result: Time Limit draw.

Earl Hebner finally managed to tear the two apart as both Angle and Jarrett remained on their backs in the ring as the announcement of a draw was made. Neither man could continue if he wanted to and both needed to be helped out of the ring and backstage. Despite the vicious war, nothing was settled between the two.

Lethal Lockdown Match
Time Limit: None
Referee: Andrew Thomas and Shane Sewell

Before the match starts, Jeremy Borash goes over the rules one last time. One member from each team will begin the match. After five minutes a member of the Main Event Mafia will enter due to Sting winning the first entry match against AJ Styles a few weeks ago on iMPACT! After another five minutes the sides will be even as a member of the Frontline enters. This process will repeat until all eight men are in the match, then the ceiling gets lowered and the fun really begins as the weapons come into play.

Entry Number 1
Representing the Main Event Mafia

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Matt Morgan

The newest recruit for the Mafia is the first man chosen to enter the match meaning he has to survive the longest.

Entry Number 2
Representing the Frontline

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

AJ Styles

Styles leads by example and puts himself into the match first saving his partners for later. The size and strength advantage of Morgan came into play in the first five minutes as he tossed Styles around like a rag doll. Styles tried his best to overcome the strength but could only get short bursts of offence in before Morgan cut him off.

Entry Number 3
Representing the Main Event Mafia

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Booker T

As if things were not bad enough for Styles, he now has to deal with two men for the next five minutes. One of whom, he defeated only last month to become the TNA Legends Champion. Booker and Morgan worked as a team by taking turns in beating on Styles and cutting Styles off whenever he looked like gaining an advantage.

Entry Number 4
Representing the Frontline

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Samoa Joe

The reinvigorated Samoa Joe came to the ring like a wild animal and drove through everyone. Morgan and Booker tried to double team the Samoan but got nowhere as he brushed it off and dominated both opponents. Joe sent Booker in to the cage several times before sending Morgan into the cage on top of Booker.

Entry Number 5
Representing the Main Event Mafia

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Scott Steiner

Big Poppa Pump came into the match looking for revenge on Joe for Destination X but ended up just pissing off Joe even more. Joe tried to rip the head off of Steiner with a vicious clothesline before a low blow from Booker slowed him down. Morgan needed to follow up with the Carbon Footprint just to get Joe off his feet. Styles had recovered by now and got some offence in on Morgan and Booker but Steiner was on hand to hold him up and allow a triple team to take place.

Entry Number 6
Representing the Frontline

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Jay Lethal

The youngest man in the match came to the ring with the odds staked firmly against him. Matt Morgan, Booker T and Scott Steiner all awaited Lethal’s entry before pouncing and triple teaming the freshest man. Lethal tried to mount a comeback but given the odds, he never had a chance.

Entry Number 7
Representing the Main Event Mafia

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Sting

The captain and leader of the Mafia kept himself until last and couldn’t have come in at a better time. His team are in control and now have a one man advantage. Sting climbed into the ring and picked Joe as his target. Sting hit the dazed Joe with the Scorpion Death Drop before locking in the Scorpion Death Lock in the middle of the ring. Morgan made sure Lethal wasn’t going to save Joe with the Hellavator before Booker took Styles down with the Book End as the seconds ticked away before the final entry was made.

Sting broke the Death Lock as the ten second timer came up and waited alongside his team-mates to find out who the Frontline have recruited. The ten seconds come and go without anything happening. The Mafia wait a few seconds but still nothing. The Mafia turn their attention back to the Frontline when the arena goes dark except for the big screen which now displays an Ankh burning.

Entry Number 8
Representing the Frontline

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Christopher Daniels

The Fallen Angel makes his long awaited return to TNA to a massive cheer of approval from the fans in attendance. Daniels quickly storms to the ring and starts swinging. The delay has given AJ Styles enough time to recover and aid Daniels. Joe isn’t far behind as the Frontline go from the verge of defeat to completely in control as the ceiling lowers on top of the cage. Steiner tries to grab pipe to protect himself with but Joe takes his out with a spear into the ring corner. Joe gets in several kicks before hoisting Steiner to the top rope. Sting gets hold of the pipe and cracks Joe in the ribs to prevent the Muscle Buster.

Lethal tries to take out Sting and almost does so before Booker T jumps him from behind. Booker in turn gets the Pele kick for his troubles before stumbling into the Angel Wings from Daniels. Lethal, Styles and Daniels back Sting into a corner as he is left alone. Scott Steiner sees the danger and makes a desperate dive to take the nearest man down. Steiner takes Lethal and keeps him away from the action as he uses the pipe to choke him out.

Daniels and Styles take their turns in hitting Sting with everything they have and it looks to be just a matter of time before they finish him off. Styles lets Daniels do the honours as he hit’s the Angel Wings before locking in a Koji Clutch to force a submission from the champion. The submission attempt takes Daniels out of play and allows Matt Morgan to kill Styles with the Carbon Footprint. Morgan pins Styles and gets the three count before Joe can break the hold.

Result: Main Event Mafia via Pinfall.

Daniels keeps the Koji Clutch locked in as Joe takes it to Morgan with stiff kicks. The cage door is unlocked and Morgan makes a run for it. Steiner and Booker decided to take the win and leave. Steiner and Booker see Sting still trapped but walk away anyway as Lethal recovers enough to stand guard alongside Samoa Joe. Daniels finally breaks the hold and joins his team-mates in the centre of the ring as Styles is helped to his feet. Even though they lost, the Frontline don’t look the losers in this one to end the show.

Following the Explosive Lockdown event on Sunday night that saw the surprise return of the Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels, Mike Tenay will be on hand to conduct a sit down interview with the man himself to find out why he has chosen this time to come back to TNA.

Also on iMPACT! This week the TNA Legends Champion AJ Styles will be defending his title against the former champion Booker T in the Main Event. The rest of the Mafia and the Frontline are sure to be on hand. What will happen when the two factions come into close quarters so soon after the Lethal Lockdown match.

At Lockdown, Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett fought to a time limit draw. After the match both men needed to be helped from the arena. We’ll have an update on the condition of both men this Thursday.

At Lockdown on Sunday the TNA Roster was hit with several injuries. Brother Ray of Team 3D suffered a stinger in his neck during the course of the Three Way tag match but he worked through it until the end. Roxxi took a big drop in the Knockouts title match and is now paying the price for it as she injured her back taking the fall. Roxxi will miss several weeks of action as a result. Sheik Abdul Bashir suffered a nasty cut on his back during the Steel Asylum match but isn’t expected to miss much action as a result. He is not booked on the next iMPACT! Show but that is merely a precaution. Newcomer Sarah Stock got off to a bad start as she broke her nose in the Queen of the Cage match. Stoke was the runner-up to Christy Hemme in the match so she was going to receive some sort of push. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case.

Rhino, on the other hand is not injured and was sacrificed to allow the surprise return of Christopher Daniels. TNA kept it a secret and only the people who needed to know about it knew.

The TNA Roster itself has been updated with newcomer Cody Deaner joining Doug Williams, Kazarian and Christopher Daniels on the male side while The Governor has finally been added along with Sarah Stock. Delirious is listed as an occasional talent meaning he is not becoming a full time member of the TNA Roster.

A few bits and pieces from TNA is all we have today. Jenna Morasca is the latest name to be thrown into the new owner hat. Morasca has been under contract for a while now but she is yet to even debut giving the idea some backing. Another name for the storyline that has been brought up is Sharmell. Considering how little we have heard on the identity of the new owner we have to assume that either TNA are water tight in their planning or they don’t even know who it will be yet.

Fan’s Favourite the World X Cup has been talked about backstage in TNA and there is currently a 70% chance of it happening again this year. The wrestlers themselves can be picked in a matter of minutes due to the strong connections TNA has with CMLL in Mexico, New Japan and Dragon Gate in Japan, and BCW in Canada. The problem is getting the wrestlers visa’s to compete on TV and Pay Per View. The most likely outcome is each team containing several members of the current TNA Roster to cut down the amount of visa’s needed.

Cody Deaner will be debuting soon and will be playing a heel role once he is settled. He will however debut as a baby face and turn somewhere down the line. The plan seems to be to pair him with Eric Young to help get him over.

Kevin Nash is expected to be cleared to wrestle in the next few days. He will be wrestling at Sacrifice.

Re: TNA: Under new Management

Awesome Pay Per View. Rave retaining is great. Keep giving him more credibility. Angle/Jarrett to no contest, good. Neither man really needs to go over, career wise, so no real reason to give MEM or Frontline the advantage. Also, one thing I didn't like was MEM going over. The only reason is because it was the return of Daniels. It kind of overshadows him.

Who's playing Suicide, if both Kaz and Daniels are wrestling.

IMPACT! Opens this week with the winning team from Lethal Lockdown about to make their entrance, the Main Event Mafia of Sting, Booker T, Scott Steiner and Matt Morgan are accompanied by Kevin Nash and Sharmell as they head down the red carpet to the ring. Confetti and balloons fall from the ceiling as the Mafia go all out tonight. In the ring, Sting thanks the fans for supporting them despite the fact that they clearly didn’t. Booker T says the victory at Lockdown has put the Frontline in its place, on lower card. Booker goes on to say that tonight, he will reclaim his possession from AJ Styles. Scott Steiner says, well, something about Christopher Daniels and his return at Lockdown. We think he said Daniels didn’t make any difference at all. Kevin Nash then praises Matt Morgan for his quick thinking in getting the all important win. Sting however thinks Morgan should have saved him before getting the win. Morgan obviously disagrees and gets in Sting’s face. Sting and Morgan need to be held apart by the rest of the Mafia who end the party early.

Alex Shelley

After an unsuccessful attempt at becoming the X-Division Champion for a second time, Alex Shelley is looking to get a couple of wins together to get himself in a strong position to earn another chance. Shelley did just that as he gave Williams no time to think and simply wore him out before hitting the Sliced Bread to pick up the victory.

Result: Alex Shelley via Pinfall

Following the match, Alex Shelley got on the mic and basically demanded a rematch with Jimmy Rave. Shelley claims Lockdown was the biggest screw job since Montreal. Shelley is confidant of getting another match and even guarantees victory the next time they meet.

Backstage we see Kevin Nash trying to calm down Matt Morgan who, as we know, is quick to anger and Sting pushed all the right buttons tonight. Nash tells Morgan to cool off and focus on next week. Morgan agrees and says its time for a change in TNA.

During the ring introductions Mike Tenay tells us that Lethal Consequences have set their sights on becoming the TNA World Tag Team Champions again.

Lethal Consequences

The first time pairing of Suicide and Shark Boy tried to isolate Creed but the resilient youngster simply refused to be defeated. Creed withstood the onslaught before making the hot tag to Jay Lethal. Lethal cleaned house and took Shark Boy out with the Lethal Combination followed by the Diving Elbow Drop. Suicide looked for the D.O.A. but Lethal fought it off and hit a bridging German suplex to pick up the three count.

Result: Lethal Consequences via Pinfall

Backstage and recently returned Christy Hemme is in the office of Traci Brooks. Hemme thanks Brooks for giving her the chance to become number one contender at Lockdown. Traci tells Hemme that she doesn’t want to be thanked right now but she does want Hemme to remember that she owes her for it. Hemme says she does and she will be ready to pay it back when needed.

The Governor

The Governor has been a constant thorn in the side of The Beautiful People for several weeks now. Angelina Love has finally gotten the chance to take out some revenge on her and with the three on one numbers advantage, Love had little problem in doing so. Love hit the Lights Out early on but chose to beat The Governor some more and locked in a sharp Boston Crab in the middle of the ring. The Governor tried to fight it off but Love sat right back and forced the submission.

Result: Angelina Love via Submission

Even after the bell had sounded Angelina Love refused to let up and simply held on tight as Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne took the cheap shots to the exposed head and back of The Governor. Velvet Sky brings a steel chair into the ring but bails out when Taylor Wilde makes the run in. Taylor chases off the Beautiful People before she checks on The Governor in the middle of the ring.

Next to the ring is Mick Foley. Foley wastes little time in asking Homicide and Hernandez to join him in the ring so they can settle things once and for all. L.A.X. don’t need to be asked twice. Foley gives us a history lesson since L.A.X. underwent an attitude change before he comes to the conclusion that both men should apologize not only to him, but to Jim Cornette who is still not recovered from the Border Toss several weeks ago. L.A.X. cant believe what they are hearing and demand that Foley apologizes for costing them the TNA World Tag team Championships at Lockdown. Homicide then adds that Foley should submit his resignation from TNA as a result. Foley simply says L.A.X. didn’t deserve to win and he wasn’t going to sit back and watch it happen. Hernandez has heard enough and punches Foley out with a right hand. Homicide drops out of the ring but returns with a table. Hernandez sets up the table and choke slam’s Foley through it. Homicide tells Foley that’s his apology.

BG James

Magnus has been on a roll in TNA but yet still cant get matches. Magnus has decided to take it upon himself by issuing open challenges to the world. Tonight, TNA veteran BG James has had enough of the crying and looks to put Magnus in his place the hard way. Magnus meanwhile, looks to put BG out of commission whatever way he can. BG tried to use his experience but the sheer strength and quickness of Magnus was far too much and in the end Magnus hit a Belly to Belly suplex to pick up the three count.

Result: Brutus Magnus via Pinfall

Next Mike Tenay informs us that as a result of the Lockdown match between Kurt Angle and Jeff Jarrett neither man is able to be here tonight due to medical reasons. Tenay tells us both men were badly beaten after the time limit draw and doctors have refused to allow ether man to wrestle again until they are fully recovered to prevent a more serious injury.

Christopher Daniels is backstage with Lauren. Daniels says he was been sitting at home watching TNA for the past sixteen months and he has had enough of it. Daniels says he is sickened by the Main Event Mafia and decided he could take it no more. He saw AJ Styles and Samoa Joe try in vain to overcome the odds and now, he is here to help. Daniels says himself, Styles and Joe made TNA what it is today, and they are going to make TNA what it is tomorrow. Daniels tells the Mafia that their days are numbered.

AJ Styles ©

Sharmell tried her best to ensure that her husband left as champion but Earl Hebner caught onto her and sent her backstage after only a couple of minutes had gone. Booker T was irate and completely lost his focus to allow Styles back into it. Styles hit the Pele Kick after Booker missed a jump kick but only got a two count. Styles would try for a frog splash but Booker got his knees up. With Styles in trouble Booker went off the rope but Styles dodged the Axe Kick. Styles tried a second Pele but Booker saw it coming and avoided contact. Booker tried the Book End but Styles fought it off with elbow to the head. Styles would go on to hit his Flying Forearm before following up with the Styles Clash for the three count and the successful defence.

Result: AJ Styles Retains via Pinfall

Styles celebrates his victory in he ring to end the show.

Jim Cornette has been speaking his mind recently with some positive things to say about TNA but also some negative to go with it. Cornette said he was happy to see TNA give the X-Division some more TV time and try to make the X-Division title important again. However at the same time, Cornette said he would like to see the division freshened up a little. He said Delirious would be a good addition if TNA can come up with something for him to do in the long term, but if they don’t have anything set for him, they would be best using him sparingly. Cornette went on to recommend several ROH stars for the X-Division including Jimmy Jacobs and Erick Stevens. Cornette also discussed the idea of a development deal with a smaller Indy company to help some of their greener talents learn and improve before debuting on TV. Cornette singled out Brutus Magnus and Rhaka Khan for this treatment. Cornette also told us that TNA are still undecided on the World X Cup but he for one hopes it happens again.
