Re: TNA: Under new Management

This sounds like it will be a pretty good iMPACT and I like this BTB it is full of twists and turns and you'll never know what happens next. I am espicially surprised about al of the people that are being forced to leave these Off the Wagon matchs. I mean there will be no tag teams soon! I'll definitly be reviewing this show.

March 19th 2009

We open TNA iMPACT! With a recap video from Destination X. We see AJ Styles becoming the TNA Legends Champion, Jimmy Rave becoming TNA X-Division Champion, Hernandez losing his job due to the “Off the Wagon” Stipulation and Sting successfully defending his TNA World Championship against Kurt Angle. With that being done, Kurt Angle is on his way to the ring and he does not look to be in a good mood following his loss on Sunday.

Once in the ring, Angle wastes no time in calling out Sting and the rest of the Main Event Mafia. Kevin Nash, Booker T and a badly beaten Scott Steiner come out on cue but Sting makes Angle wait a bit first. After a short delay Sting joins the rest of his team mates in the ring. Angle then proceeds to rant about the entire Mafia but Sting in particular. Angle calls Sting a hypocrite for his actions in recent months. Angle says Sting preaches fighting the good fight but then claims Sting hit him with a Low Blow to turn the match at Destination X. Oddly enough, only Kurt Angle seems to have seen it happen.

Angle then takes a bizarre turn and places the blame for his loss on the rest of the Mafia. Angle claims that Steiner, Nash and Booker should have been out there to prevent Sting cheating his way to victory. Angle then puts out an ultimatum for the Mafia. Who’s side are they on? Sting or Angle. Angle wants an answer and he wants it before the end of the show tonight.

Angle storms out of the ring leaving the other four members of the Mafia in shock at what Angle has just said and done.

Backstage now and Lauren is standing by with Samoa Joe. Joe doesn’t wait for Lauren to pose any questions before he rips the mic off of her and tells her to get lost. Joe talks to the camera but address the Main Event Mafia. Joe says he is amused by the implosion of the biggest ego’s in wrestling today and also says he takes great pleasure in watching them be helpless and lost for what to do next. Samoa Joe says he has marked Scott Steiner off his hit list, but it still contains four more names. Joe tells the Mafia that he is coming for them one by one, they don’t know where and they don’t know when, but Joe, is going to kill them.

Former TNA X-Division Champion Alex Shelley makes his way to the ring next and immediately asks for a mic before his opponent can be introduced. Shelley goes on to criticize the TNAWrestling.com headline of Jimmy Rave Shocks The World. Shelley calls it a very poor attempt at a play on words based on Rave’s finisher called Rocks the World. Shelley goes on to say that he has an automatic rematch clause in his contract and he will be using it as soon as Jimmy Rave is available for action.

Shelley was looking to continue but Jimmy Rave himself interrupts. Rave says he is going to be a fighting champion and thus is more than happy to accept the rematch. Rave proposes they do it inside the Six Sides of Steel at lockdown to ensure that Chris Sabin doesn’t interfere and give Shelley an unfair advantage. Shelley accepts without delay. Jimmy Rave decides to stay and watch the match from the commentary position as Consequences Creed is introduced.

Consequences Creed

Shelley took the early advantage but his constant argument with Jimmy Rave allowed Creed to get back into the match and build some momentum. Creed hit the Creed-D-T but Shelley got his foot on the bottom rope. Determined not to lose again, Shelley took the short cut and found his thumb in the eyes of Creed. Shelley took the opening and hit the Sliced Bread to pick up the much needed win to get him back on the right track.

Result: Alex Shelley via Pinfall.

Shelley and Rave have another stare down after the match. Shelley lets everyone know that he wants the X-Division Championship back and he’ll do whatever it takes to get it.

Backstage again and Lauren is standing by with Madison Rayne and the Beautiful People. Rayne does the talking while the Beautiful People look at themselves in mirrors. Rayne says she is sick of the image that people like Taylor Wilde have given her. The generic hot blonde. Madison Rayne says she is so much more than that and she is going to prove it starting tonight. Rayne says she will end Taylor Wilde one and for all before turning her attention to the TNA Knockouts Championship.

Taylor Wilde

Madison Rayne used Velvet Sky and Angelina Love to her advantage perfectly. Rayne would dump Taylor out of the ring and then distract Shane Sewell to allow Velvet and Angelina to get several cheap shots in to weaken Taylor Wilde before sending her back into the ring. Rayne looked to finish Wilde off with a Death Valley Driver but Wilde slid out the back and hit Rayne with a German Suplex. Taylor Wilde bridged up and got the three count as a result.

Result: Taylor Wilde via Pinfall.

Taylor quickly gets out of the ring as Velvet Sky and Angelina Love look to get some more shots in after the bell. Taylor has taken a beating but has managed to hold on and score the all important victory. Madison Rayne will have to use a different strategy if she is to defeat the Upset Queen.

The new TNA Legends Champion AJ Styles is next to the ring as he is in celebratory mood following his victory over Booker T at Destination X. Styles takes his time to soak up the fans reaction to him before going on to give a speech about becoming the first and only man to hold every TNA Title he possibly can. Styles continues and says he will change the image of what the TNA Legends Championship has come to represent and he vows to make it just as important as the TNA World Championship. Styles says the Booker T era is over, and its now his time to become a Legend. The crowd certainty agree with him anyway.

Roxxi

The Hardcore Knockout will get her long awaited TNA Knockouts Championship match against Awesome Kong inside the Six Sides of Steel at Lockdown. Before then however, she has the small matter of facing Awesome Kong’s advisor for well over a year now in Raisha Saeed. Saeed seems to be under the impression that if she defeats Roxxi tonight, TNA management will scrap the title match as Roxxi isn’t good enough if she cant beat Saeed first.

With that in mind, Saeed made the back of Roxxi her target so that even if she loses, Roxxi will be in no condition to face Kong. Saeed tried the Camel Clutch but Roxxi fought out of it. Saeed then tried the Curb stomp but Roxxi countered and took the upper hand. Roxxi took the fight to Saeed and overwhelmed her before quickly hitting the Voodoo Drop to stun Saeed and gain the victory.

Result: Roxxi via Pinfall.

Roxxi wasn’t even able to get back on her feet when Kong attacked her from behind. As if she needed a weapon, Kong brought a steel chair into the ring and smashed it across the spine of Roxxi to instantly floor her. Kong sets up the chair before setting up Roxxi for an Awesome Bomb onto it. Kong easily lifts Roxxi and drills her back down onto the chair with bone crunching force to send her message loud and clear.

Kurt Angle has been a very patient man tonight but with time running out on the show, he has decided that he wants an answer and he wants it now. Angle once again calls out Scott Steiner, Kevin Nash and Booker T who have also been unusually quite tonight. They are clearly putting a lot of thought into their decision. Once in the ring Angle goes to the Mafia members one by one and asks for their answer. All three members are in agreement that Kurt Angle has lost it and none of them feel safe around him.

Nash states that he thinks Angle is a ticking time bomb. Angle doesn’t seem too impressed with what he is hearing and demands they answer him with who thy are with. Nash apologizes to Angle before saying they are with Sting. Angle looks as if he is about to go off but manages to calm down and simply walk away without taking any further action. The Mafia members look on not sure what to make of Angle’s reaction.

Angle walks around the ring when the inevitable happens. You didn’t expect him to go quietly did you? David Penzer was unfortunately in the line of fire and received a stiff right hand followed by the Ankle Lock on the outside. Security quickly move in to prevent a broken ankle.

Team 3D

Beer Money were looking to add another big name to their list of victims but things did not go their way. Team 3D meanwhile were looking to become 22 time World Tag Team Champions but that didn’t happen either. Neither team was able to get the win as after only a few minutes of the match it had to be thrown out. Homicide and Hernandez gate crashed the party and laid everyone out. Homicide hit the Gringo Killa on James Storm and the Gringo Cutter on Brother Ray. Hernandez meanwhile, ignoring the fact that he got fired, hit Brother Devon with a Cracker Jack and Robert Roode with the Border Toss. TNA Security are back in action as they try to remove Hernandez from the arena. Good luck with that. Hernandez decided that he wasn’t going without a fight and started swinging at the security guards.

Jim Cornette came to the ring next and tried to talk to Hernandez. Cornette politely asked Hernandez to leave the building before he called the police. Hernandez told Cornette he is going to need the military to get him to leave. Hernandez then took it up a notch when he kicked Cornette in the ribs. Hernandez hoisted Cornette up into the air and sent him flying with the Border Toss. LAX stand tall in the ring surrounded by fallen bodies to end the show.

Re: TNA: Under new Management

Great show you have right there and all of the amazing storylines it is going to be an exciting couple of month's in God's TNA!
Best Match: Off the Wagon Challenge- Although not really a match I coule not stop reading all the chaos and excitment happening.
Worst Match: Shelley VS. Creed- Not much excitement pretty slow for the most, short, part.
Best Promo: The two promos involving the Main Event Mafia and Angle- Lots of action and very fun to read. Can't wait to find out what happens between the five of them.
Worst Promo: Kong's assault on Roxxi- Yawn... typical Kong move leaving another women beat down.

March 20th 2009

As you have seen by now, Jay Lethal was not on iMPACT! This week. there are several reasons for this. The most obvious being selling the Elbow Drop he did in Ultimate X at Destination X. The second and less obvious is to move him away from the X-Division title picture. TNA Management have been trying to move Lethal up the card for a while now but have yet to find a spot for him. TNA Management have decided its time to force him up the card even if it means overcrowding for a little bit. Rumours doing the rounds today suggest Lethal will be involved in Lethal Lockdown to give him a trial in the Main Event. After that Lethal is expected to enter a relatively long feud which will continue to elevate him.

Another X-Division star who was not used on iMPACT! Is Suicide. Unlike Lethal however, things don’t look so bright for Suicide following the lukewarm reactions he has been getting since debuting. TNA were hoping he would take off and be the top baby face in the X-Division but that role has now gone to Jimmy Rave for the time being. Suicide looks like becoming a part timer before eventually being faded out.

TNA are playing their cards very close to their chest in regards the new owner so at this point we have no new information but will pass it along when we got some. Ditto with the Hernandez situation but at this point we assume he is not going anywhere except up.

Re: TNA: Under new Management

Shelley and Rave one on one feud, yes. Hopefully Rave is built up more too, let him go over someone credible before Shelley.

I don't know about two Woman's matches on a card =/.

Hopefully AJ gets the best of Booker again, and beats quite a bit of Legends. A non permanent Legend Killer gimmick?

Damn, Angle out of the MEM? I don't think so. Still think its a swerve, or they switch Heel/Face roles because MEM can't be Face.

HERNANDEZ FOR A MAIN EVENT PUSH!

Good show, I liked it a lot.

Re: TNA: Under new Management

- Really liked the opening segment. Angle is a prick.
- Shelley/Rave in a cage.. That kind of rhymes and its something that could be fun.
- Obvious that Shelley needed the win against Creed, made sense.
- Not a fan of womens matches, even in TNA so nothing really to mention, other than that.
- for some reason I sense the Mafia turning on Sting. Which would be great.
- HOLY SHIT! Hernandez hitting the Border Toss on Jim Cornette has gotten me really interested in Hernandez. That was simply awesome.
- Great ending to a good show.

TNA iMPACT!
March 26th 2009

Preview

In a match that was scheduled to happen last week, Team 3D will be taking the Beer Money "Off the Wagon" Challenge in a bid to become 22 time tag team champions. They has the advantage last week but the L.A.X. decided to interrupt and the match was thrown out. Homicide and Hernandez have both been banned from the arena. Not that it stopped Hernandez last week who is currently without a contract after being pinned by Beer Money at Destination X.

Last Week Kurt Angle issued and ultimatum to the Main Event Mafia. Angle or Sting. The Mafia chose Sting and Angle is still pissed about it. Last week Angle attacked David Penzer, who will his next target be as he is scheduled to be at iMPACT!

The Number One Contender for the TNA Knockouts Championship Roxxi took on a friend of Awesome Kong last week in Raisha Saeed and got the win. This week the roles will be reversed as Awesome Kong takes on ODB in singles action.

Former TNA X-Division Champion Alex Shelley was quick to issue his rematch challenge against Jimmy Rave. The new champion was more than happy to accept it for Lockdown. Alex Shelley will be looking to gain some more momentum this week following his victory against Consequences Creed last week.

Plus The Beautiful People, Eric Young and much more this Thursday on iMPACT!

March 26th 2009

We open iMPACT! This week with Samoa Joe and the new TNA Legends Champion AJ Styles in the ring. Styles does the majority of the talking as Joe stands behind him and looks intimidating. Styles basically issued a challenge to the Main Event Mafia for a match at Lockdown. That match is known as Lethal Lockdown. Scott Steiner, Booker T and Kevin Nash decide to let people hear what they have to say and thus interrupt the Frontline. Nash points out that he has yet to receive medical clearance to wrestle so the Mafia will be recruiting a fourth member in the near future to take his place in the match. We assume this means the Mafia accept the challenge for the eight man Lethal Lockdown match.

Taylor Wilde surprised Madison Rayne last week and pulled out a victory when defeat was looking the more likely. This week Taylor wont have to go into three on one odds again as Sojourner Bolt and Rhaka Khan have offered to team with her this week in six woman tag action.

Taylor Wilde, Sojourner Bolt & Rhaka Khan

Taylor Wilde was singled out for special attention by the Beautiful People and Rayne in this match as she is the physically smallest member of the team. Wilde was on the receiving end of a severe beating by all three opponents as they did a perfect job isolating the former TNA Knockouts Champion from her partners. Velvet Sky eventually gave Taylor too much time to recover as she taunted her and got a kick in the temple for it. Taylor crawled to her corner as Sky quickly tagged in Angelina Love. Taylor got the tag to Sojourner Bolt and the match was turned on its head. Bolt dominated and even hit several double team moves with Rhaka Khan to put her side in a strong position. Velvet Sky however, caught Khan off guard and hit her with the Beauty Spot to steal the three count.

Result: The Beautiful People & Madison Rayne via Pinfall.

Backstage now to the office of TNA Founder Jeff Jarrett. Kurt Angle is his unwelcome visitor at this moment in time. Angle puts all the blame on Jarrett this week and claims he has been turning the Mafia against him for months now. Jarrett denies it but Angle is convinced and as a result promises to break Jarrett’s ankle. Angle demands that Jarrett make a match between them for Lockdown so that they can settle it once and for all. Jarrett flat out refuses saying he is retired from wrestling. Angle doesn’t like the answer and tells Jarrett he will convince him otherwise. Maybe not tonight, but he will get the match made.

Last week on iMPACT! Roxxi was able to overcome Raisha Saeed, this week Awesome Kong looks to overcome ODB in singles action.

vs.

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

ODB w/ Roxxi

Being one of the only Knockouts who can physically match up to Awesome Kong certainly gave ODB a big advantage. ODB was not only looking for a win, she was looking to put herself in line for a future title match, against Kong or Roxxi if needs be. Her performance tonight will have only helped her cause despite the outcome. ODB went for the Dirty Dozen in the corner but Kong stopped it and hit a roundhouse chop to stun ODB. Kong took ODB off the top rope and planted her with the Implant Buster for the three count.

Result: Awesome Kong via Pinfall.

After the match Kong looked to continue the beating but Roxxi ensured it wasn’t going to happen as she entered the ring with a steel chair in hand. Roxxi swung at Kong but missed. Kong didn’t take the chance again and bailed out with her head still attached.

Backstage and Eric Young is standing by with Jeremy Borash. Eric tells JB that he is looking to get back into the X-Division title picture as soon as he can. Eric is convinced that a win tonight would get him that title match before Lockdown even comes around. His opponent tonight, Alex Shelley had other ideas and let Eric know it. Shelley told Eric flat out that he would go through anyone and do anything to get his title back. Shelley says he doesn’t care if he has to end careers or even lose friends, the X-Division title is what’s important to him. Eric tells Shelley may the best man win. Shelley tells Eric not to worry, he (Shelley) will win.

Eric Young

A high paced back and forth match between two of the top X-Division stars saw several of the other stars come out for a closer look. At the front of that group was of course the new TNA X-Division Champion Jimmy Rave. Rave came to the ringside area just as Alex Shelley was about to hit Sliced Bread. Shelley traded insults with Rave and nearly ended up costing himself the match as Young rolled him up in a school boy pin for a two count. Shelley quickly got back to his feet and found his thumb in the eyes of Young. Shelley didn’t hesitate the second time and hit the Sliced Bread for the three count.

Result: Alex Shelley via Pinfall.

Shelley and Rave exchange cold stares before Rave decides to walk away before punches end up getting thrown.

Sting is waiting backstage with Jeremy Borash. Sting says he was pleasantly surprised that Nash, Steiner and Booker T choose to side with him over Kurt Angle. Sting believes that Angle has lose his mind and its only a matter of time before he does something he wont be able to blame on everyone else. Sting goes on to suggest that Angle lost sight of what the Mafia was supposed to be about. Respect. Sting believes that is what ultimately cost Angle his allies and his sanity. Sting says he does not regret having to oust Angle as the leader of the Mafia and claims he would not change a thing.

Before the Main Event we are shown a video package of what happened during last week’s main event. We see Homicide and out of contract Hernandez coming in and putting and end to the TNA World Tag Team Championships match. We also see Hernandez hitting a Border Toss on Jim Cornette. Following the video, Mike Tenay informs us that Homicide is banned from ringside and Hernandez is banned from coming within 50 feet of the arena due to his public assault last week.

You didn’t really expect the L.A.X. to stay out of it did you? Hernandez gave a Border Toss to Jim Cornette last week, it will take a lot more than a restraining order against him to keep him away. In a similar fashion to last week, L.A.X. waited until both teams were worn down before striking. Hernandez gave Team 3D a taste of their own medicine when he put both men though a single table with a double choke slam. Homicide used the slapjack to good effect as it resulted in both members of Beer Money lying unconscious in the ring.

After the failure of Jim Cornette last week, Mick Foley has decided to give it a go and heads to the ring. Foley tries the talk them down approach and has more success than Cornette did. Well sort of. Hernandez told Foley to shove it up his ass before bringing up the new investor who bought Mick Foley’s shares. Hernandez tells Foley that this isn’t 1999, people don’t give a crap about what he has to say anymore. Homicide puts the exclamation mark on it with a low blow followed by the Gringo Cutter to Foley. L.A.X. once again stand tall over an authority figure in TNA to end the show.
