Team International

Alex Koslov

Team International were in desperate need of some points and turned to the Russian Alex Koslov to get them. Koslov worked a slow and methodical pace as he picked apart the knee of Shark Boy. Shark Boy rallied and hit a Thez Press to put him on top. Shark Boy maintained his advantage and went for the Chummer but Koslov rolled backwards and pulled Shark Boy with him into a School Boy roll up for the victory.

Result: Alex Koslov gains one Point for Team International.

Nigel McGuinness

The man of mystery Suicide caused McGuinness all sorts of problems as he constantly stayed one step ahead of the English man. Suicide thought he had done enough to weaken McGuinness to hit the D.O.A. but McGuinness had other ideas and powered out. McGuinness hit a spinning forearm smash to stun Suicide before going off the ropes and hitting a devastating Jawbreaker Lariat for the three count.

Result: Nigel McGuinness gains one Point for Team International.

July 9th 2009

We open the show backstage where Samoa Joe has been ambushed from behind and is trying to fight off Sting and a rather large man wearing a mask. Sting prepares to hit Joe in the head with the baseball bat but Christopher Daniels prevents it. Daniels is overcome by the two on one odds until AJ Styles gets involved and puts Sting and his bodyguard into retreat. Styles and Daniels help Joe to his feet but Joe shoves them both off and goes looking for Sting.

Doug Williams
vs.

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

James Storm

Referee Earl Hebner sent both Nigel McGuinness and Robert Roode to the back before the match even started. Once it did start, Williams made his intentions crystal clear as he went after the neck of Storm often ignoring the referee and his five count. This almost came back to bite Williams in the ass as his arguing with Hebner gave Storm a chance to recover and attempt the Last Call but Williams dodged it and clasped his arms around Storm’s waist before hitting a Rolling German Suplex for the three count.

Result: Doug Williams via Pinfall.

Having picked up the win, Doug Williams decided that a celebratory drink was in order. He grabbed Storm’s beer bottle and used the head of the Cowboy to smash it open.

As the medics check on James Storm in the ring we go to the parking lot where Rhino has just arrived. Rhino is taking the bags out of the trunk of his car when he gets hit from behind with a crowbar. Rhino falls forward and lies unconscious half in his own trunk. The crowbar is thrown to the ground before Kevin Nash looks around to make sure there are no eye witnesses. Nash then shoves Rhino into the trunk of the car and drives off. Booker T and Scott Steiner are shown looking on in approval in the background.

Booker T soon has a much bigger problem as we are shown the nearly empty Main Event Mafia locker-room where Sharmell sits alone doing her nails. A polite knock at the door gets Sharmell up from her seat to answer. Sharmell screams and tries to run but is grabbed by her hair and hoisted onto the shoulder of Abyss. Sharmell kicks and scratches but Abyss doesn’t even feel it as he turns and follows James Mitchell down the hallway.

Angelina Love w/ Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne
vs.

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Del Rey w/ Millita

Angelina Love was looking for some revenge after Del Rey and Millita attacked at Slammiversary. It was probably a bad idea to try and get that revenge herself when she had Madison Rayne doing nothing. Del Rey dominated the smaller Love and showed no signs of being in any danger. Velvet Sky and Madison Rayne tried to interfere but Millita was on hand to prevent it. Del Rey finished the match with a Butterfly Suplex for the three count.

Result: Del Rey via Pinfall.

Velvet Sky provided the distraction after the bell for Madison Rayne to blind Millita with some hairspray. Rayne and Sky both entered the ring and both received kicks to the ribs from Del Rey. Sky smartly rolled back out of the ring but Rayne went back for more and received a Butterfly Suplex of her own. Velvet Sky backs up the ramp as TNA officials try to keep Del Rey and Millita from doing any further damage.

Backstage with Lauren are Team 3D. Brother Ray says he is pissed off at Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin for their blatant lack of respect. Ray goes on to challenge the Machine Guns to name a time and place for the two teams to settle their differences. Ray doesn’t have to wait long as Shelley and Sabin join them on the interview set. Alex Shelley suggests that the match take place at Victory Road. Chris Sabin then suggests that it should be a number one contenders match as well. Both members of Team 3D agree and offer a handshake to seal the deal. Sabin and Shelley accept but then spit in the face of both Ray and Devon before running off. If Team 3D weren’t in a bad enough mood before, they damn sure are now.

Nigel McGuinness
vs.

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Robert Roode

Immovable met unbreakable next as the powerhouses of their respective teams collided for the first time ever. Both men tried to overpower the other but neither man was able to succeed. McGuinness gave up on that idea and went for a quick finish when he tried the Jawbreaker Lariat but Roode ducked it and went off the ropes himself. Roode connected with the back of the head of McGuinness with the Northern Lariat to pick up the three count.

Result: Robert Roode via Pinfall.

Roode celebrated his victory in the ring until Doug Williams made the run in. Williams attacked Roode from behind and proceeded in beating him to the mat. McGuinness tries to recover while bringing a beer bottle into the ring for Roode to be introduced to. Williams holds Roode in place as McGuinness aims. A bloodied James Storm charges to the ring with a steel chair in hand to sent both members of the Great British Alliance running for the hills.

Backstage we see Roxxi and Christy Hemme talking about last week. Hemme apologises for not being able to save Roxxi but Roxxi isn’t bothered about it. The two Knockouts hug before Hemme turns and runs for it. Roxxi seems confused but soon figures it out as Awesome Kong and Raisha Saeed jump her and use her to send another message to Christy Hemme. Kong runs Roxxi head first into a brick wall several times to leave her unconscious on the ground. Saeed takes a few kicks for good measure before they continue on their warpath.

Next we are shown the TNA World Champion Sting surrounded by a lot of security guards. Sting keeps it short as he announces a match for next week to determine the number one contender for Victory Road. In the main event next week it will be AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels in a three way dance. Sting seems very happy with the match as he is clearly hoping they take each other out of the equation.

Number One Contender for the TNA X-Division Championship

Jimmy Rave
vs.

To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Jay Lethal

Lethal and Rave both wrestled at breakneck speed much to the delight of the fans in attendance. Rave worked the neck of Lethal while Lethal countered back by working the ribs of Rave to slow him down and make it harder for him to have a longer match. Rave gained a big advantage when he dodged a Spear that sent Lethal into the ring post shoulder first. Rave shifted his focus to the shoulder and did his best to rip the shoulder out of its socket. Rave would try to Rock the World but Lethal powered out and as a result sent Rave crashing into Andrew Thomas. Thomas was knocked off his feet but not out cold like so often happens. Rave tried again and this time succeeded in Rocking the World but Consequences Creed had no intentions of letting the match end like that. Creed drove the ring bell into the back of the head of Rave before reviving Lethal with some water from ringside. Creed made himself scarce as Lethal climbed the ropes and hit the Diving Elbow Drop for the three count.

Result: Jay Lethal via Pinfall.

Lethal celebrates his victory seemingly unaware that Creed played such a large part in it.

We jump backstage now where Kevin Nash has tried to take out Jeff Jarrett but has failed. Jarrett and Nash are trading stiff right hands as TNA Security move in to separate them. Both men are being held back by security as we go off the air.

Re: TNA: Under new Management

I'm not too high on Doug Williams, so him going over Storm is a BOOO. Machienguns bei9ng the Machineguns is pretty awesome, especially towards someone like 3D who can legitimately gripe because of their legendary status. Roode over McGuinness FTW. Roode should be world champion. Overall pretty entertaining show, it was a great read.

Re: TNA: Under new Management

Good edition of Impact. I hope that either Team Japan or Team International wins the World X Cup. Very glad that Jay Lethal won the number one contenders match and hopefully he gets a reign as X-Division champion. Nice that Doug Williams went over Storm. Again, good stuff and keep it up!

Re: TNA: Under new Management

- Solid show and fun to read. I liked how through out the show you focused on the MEM and all the controversy around them.
- The matches between Beer Money Inc. and The Great British Invasion were exciting and definitly built up the rivalry for a good match for the titles come the next PPV event.
- The knockouts had lots of excitement espicially with Hemme and Kong, I can't wait until they meet again in the six sided ring. Also the Beautiful People rivalry with Del Ray and Millita is very exciting and fun to read about. I can't wait to see how this rivalry ends!
- The Main Event for next week is gonig ot be very exciting and should be one of the best matches you write I hope! I'm hoping for Joe to bring it home and take Sting's title and end Sting's career once and for all!
- An odd Main Event, but I like Jay Lethal winning it. Lots of fast paced action throughout the match and it should be fun to read how Lethal takes finding out Creed interfered.

Very cool to see Del Rey go over and also Jay Lethal winning.

Alex Koslov & Sonjay Dutt

Dutt & Young had the fast paced opening exchange that saw Dutt attempt the Standing Shooting Star but get the knees of Young for a reward. Devine and Koslov both came in at the same time and the pace slowed down as both men employed a more technical approach to the match. Koslov worked over the knees of Devine but ended up on the wrong end of the Devine Intervention. Eric Young came off the top rope with a diving elbow drop to Koslov as Devine drove his knee into the temple of Dutt. Devine makes the cover on Koslov and gets the three count.

Result: Eric Young & Johnny Devine gain two points for Team Canada.

All four men wrestled at the highest pace possible, even Bashir who usually uses a slow pace. Relatively even match until Kiyoshi attempted a top rope hurrancanrana on Bashir but he used his power to counter it and slam Kiyoshi to the mat with a sit down power bomb. Doi tried to take his hurt partners place but only succeeded in taking himself and Bashir out of the match. Shark Boy pulled Kiyoshi to his feet and hit the Chummer for the three count.

Result: Sheik Abdul Bashir & Shark Boy gain two points for Team TNA.

I read Impact and it was very good overall, I'm also enjoying how your doing the X-Cup, taking it away from Impact and personnaly I'm hoping Team Canada Win's being a Canadian myself. Still liking the shows and I can't wait for the next update/show.
