I haven't seen most of these matches so I'll reserve judgment until later on. Out of Cena's matches with HBK, the one on Raw is by far the best. The Mania match was ruined by the pointless leg work.
I don't quite think it was match of the year from an overall standpoint, but Cena VS Lashley felt like the biggest match of the year. It slips my mind what Main Evented SummerSlam that year, but this match could have easily been saved for the WrestleMania of the summer. It was a rare occassion where there is a big money never before match between two young guys who are over with the crowd.
It's too bad that Lashley had to put the pussy on a pedestal.

I don't think I saw the second Orton/Michaels match, remember thinking the first was nothing special.
Rewatched Taker/Batista LMS match earlier today, holds up surprisingly well. Batista was really at his best in those matches, dude was great with stuff like attacking Taker at the bell, yelling at the ref to count, etc Theres one sequence where he ducks a big boot attempt and hits a Spear which was just a great transition spot. Lots of cool little touches too like Taker kicking the injured leg of Batista when they were punching it out, and the table spot came off really well. Finish was a bit goofy but still a great match that will be on my list with room to spare.

I love that match.
Early 2007 was so good. New Year's Revolution had the great DX tag. Royal Rumble had a truly great match plus the epic Rumble climax. Wrestlemania had 2 really great matches, as did Backlash. Then there was the Cena/Michaels RAW match and other memorable TV matches such as Orton/Edge and Edge/HBK.
Not saying all of these have a chance of making the 100, but I'd say the Cena/HBK matches, the first 2 Undertaker/Batista matches and the Cena/Umaga match could all rank fairly high.
I just watched Armageddon tonight, and while the PPV was pretty good and consistent, I think it was a question of a fair few good matches but no great ones. The best of the night was probably the Michaels/Kennedy one, which to me showed what Kennedy can do. Great psychology in that and a good finish. Other matches such as Jericho/Orton and Edge/Batista/Taker are probably not remembered enough. The 3way in particular was pretty damn fun, but I don't think any matches from the PPV are good enough for this list... to me at least.

I wouldn't be surprised if Michaels/Kennedy made the tail end of my list. I remember really liking that match alot and thinking it was really smart and unique.

Just rewatched this and it holds up fairly well. Big match atmosphere and a HOT CROWD~ add a lot to it admitadley, but they do a really good job with a clear face vs heel story and Punk's comeback in particular was quite epic. I say if you are going to have a Punk or Morrison match in your ballot, this is your best bet. Really good match.
