"Following his claim that he would leave CWA if he failed to become CWA Lightweight Champion, Abdul Akbar Alsam has suprised many by actually following up on it. As of right now, Alsam is no longer a member of the CWA Roster. More as we get it."

"In regards to Abdul Akbar Alsam parting ways with Clique Wrestling Alliance, we have learned that the decision was taken after only one match with the company. Despite him drawing a lot of heel heat, CWA Management were short on idea's for what to do with him following Uprising. Bar the overdone American vs Evil Foreigner storyline, CWA Management had nothing for him and decided it was best to release him. Alsam agreed and left on good terms with the company so a future return is not out of the question."
