Speaking with CWA.com in a brief interview, former CWA champion, Rich Stone talked about his 2010 superstar of the year award, his world title reigns, his injuries, and his future with the company. When asked about his awards for 2010 he had the following to say.

Rich: I think it’s pretty cool that I was voted as superstar of the year in 2010. I mean did it surprise me? Not in the least bit, but I'm very excited that it did happen. There were a lot of guys that I think were just as deserving of the award. Just goes to show that the Franchise is what he says he is.

Rich was also asked about how it felt to be world champion for a majority of 2010.

Rich: I was hands down the best time of my life. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. The feeling that everyone who comes in the business is looking to take you out, is just something you can’t describe in words. I love the spotlight as you all have seen, and it I LOVED the feeling of being hunted. Just listening to the crowd want to see me lose, and the jealously out of everyone’s eyes was just something that I really could not get enough of. I can honestly say I was one of the main reasons I get out of bed in the morning.

Rich was then asked about why he chose now to take time off to heal his injuries.

Rich: I felt it was the right time. I have that nagging shoulder injury, and I honestly I want to take some time to possibly start a family with Victoria I've done just about everything I've wanted to do in CWA up to this point, and I feel looking into the future, I can leave, come back, and it will be like nothing happened while I was gone. With Showtime as champ, Willis is always gonna be there, and don’t forget you still got Pain, Arsen, Christopher Jackson, and I’m sure Roberto will be coming back soon. I mean the main event is going to be stacked and when I get back I'm just going to bully my way back to the top.

We tried to get an answer as to when Rich will be returning, and he wouldn’t give an answer. But he did have this to say.

Rich: I can’t give you a time frame when I am going to make my comeback, but it will be this year. Like I said I have some stuff to attend to with the shoulder, but I started the treatment, and I will be back this year to show everyone that this is still my world.
